Klatch Coffee Los Angeles Reviews
You know I was walking towards Gate 75 in T7 and I could smell aroma of fresh ground premium roasted coffee beans. Decided to go with a cappuccino after overhearing a European say that it was decent. It is!
I had a great experience at Klatch Coffee in LAX! I ordered a mocha coffee, a Caprese sandwich, and a turkey pesto sandwich with chips, and everything exceeded my expectations. The mocha was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, with just the right amount of chocolate. The Caprese sandwich was fresh and flavorful, with high-quality mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil on deliciously toasted bread. The turkey pesto sandwich was even better—generous portions of turkey with a flavorful pesto spread that brought everything together. The chips on the side were a nice touch and added a satisfying crunch. Portions were big, and for the quality of food, the price was definitely worth it. The service was also exceptional—friendly, efficient, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. If you’re passing through LAX and need a great meal and coffee, I highly recommend stopping by Klatch Coffee!
I’m not sure what the negative reviews are all about but I finally got a good cup of coffee at the airport!! Thank you!! I ordered decaf americano with heavy cream on side. Beautiful… very happy! Made my long day!👏🏻💥🎉
There was no Starbucks at my terminal (not that I wanted it), and I saw two different California-based coffee shops near my gate and decided to try this one. Coffee was quite good. Would gladly come again if I come to California again.

I give this place 5-Stars because of the young female employee who calls herself “T”. Flying stinks enough, but she was so helpful, friendly, PATIENT and cheerful with everyone while I sat & enjoyed my bagel and coffee! I came here just to give her a shout out! :)
Super busy for breakfast on a Tuesday. I like how they have three self service kiosks by the one cashier to help speed things along. I have a bit of an unusual name, so I didn’t realize when they called my order and butchered my name a bit, and the girl behind the counter gave me a bit of attitude when I didn’t pick up my drink immediately. It’s ok because she was probably swamped and frazzled. The food and drink come piping hot and very fresh. I may have burned the roof of my mouth because I was hungry and impatient, lol. Delicious breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese. The bread is so soft and chewy. The matcha latte had a nice touch of sweetness without needing any extra syrup. I also like how it wasn’t too bitter like some other places might make it sometimes. Ample seating on the side to eat before my flight.
I was waiting for my flight and saw this spot when I walked by. Definitely a good cup of coffee before boarding. I just ordered a latte with whole milk. The temperature and the flavor was pretty descent. Overall it was a good pick me up preflight. I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.

Need to give a shout out for the service. The ladies were very communicative, managed time expectations well and there was a sense of urgency in getting everyone’s orders in quickly before their flights.

As with a lot of airport things, prices are steep. I had breakfast here on the morning of July 21 and I have to praise the lady managing the shift. She stayed on top of things and stayed friendly even during busy times and with some customers being rude. Great work ethic!
TL; DR nothing of the cappuccino I had was done right: extraction not dialed in or beans are not fresh as it tasted hollow and plainly bitter; milk was frothed too hot to a point it lost sweetness, and big bubbles instead of micro-foam. can’t switch beans either. I thought I’ve learned enough from past experience to never order coffee from an airport spot no matter how decent the roaster brand itself is. Well, clearly not enough. I was lured by the big bean bags & especially the diversity of the beans; also by the long clean working surface and a barista constantly wiping the drip pans of those fancy espresso machines, seeming to care how their coffee is made & tastes. Heard good things of Klatch. Turns out these were all just for appearance. I asked to switch the beans in a cappuccino to be an Ethiopian bean that they were apparently displaying right next to the cashier. Cashier didn’t seem to understand my request of switching beans - they thought I wanted to buy beans. Kinda weird experience compared to other specialty coffee roasters I’ve been to. Coffee is not done right. Worse than Starbucks - not that Starbucks is any good. But it is fast, 2 minute wait time. I hope I was just unlucky or maybe they were having a busy vacation season morning that they didn’t have time to dial in properly. Will give it another shot next time I stop by.

Lavender latte was great. But wait was long. So be mindful on how much time you may have before flight.
The coffee is great. The ordering experience is a pain. It was busy and only one of the three self ordering kiosks would take money so you would spend a few minutes waiting in line, a few minutes ordering, several minutes trying to pay without any help, waiting for and then moving to a kiosk that works, ordering, and then paying. They do not have enough staff.

Sloooooowwwww - even when the airport isn't crowded. UI of ordering system w virtual keyboard obscures checkout which slows ordering and purchase. Coffee not that tasty.

I've been here a few times. It's never been great. The service has become quite rude. The last time I asked for a cortado, they didn't know what it was. I tried to explain. They gave me a latte. Not what one would expect for a dedicated coffee shop, even at an airport!

Takes 20 minutes to get one coffee when they’re not even busy and get your order wrong multiple times when taking it. Half the workers are just standing around chatting as orders pile up and customers get frustrated. Limited sense of urgency; don’t seem to realize they’re in an airport when people are on tight timelines

$23.30 for a thin slice of avocado toast and a small oat milk latte. Maybe I’m not used to LA prices and this is an airport, but it still feels crazy! Overall, food and coffee was just okay and the kiosk ordering process was chaotic so would be better off going to Starbucks, Dunkin, or somewhere else less expensive.
Klatch coffee has been my favorite for years but this LAX branch is horrible. The staff did not properly even out the distribution before tampering. My latte tasted bitter and terrible without any complexity. Honestly, it is even worse than Starbucks and Peet’s. I asked the staff what kinds of bean they are selling, and do they sell the house espresso beans. Both the cashier staff and the barista were not even sure about the beans and different categories of beans Klatch is selling. They gave me a bag of Brazil beans but that is indeed not the house blend. I’m quite disappointed with the experiences. And I honestly believe klatch is building a rather negative representation of their coffee if they cannot maintain the quality and provide adequate training for the staff. I know airport is a busy environment, and I respect the staff working there with tremendous stress. However, I also want to see a knowledgeable barista and a cup of coffee with more complexity that could show me why Klatch was indeed a winner of WBC. Sadly, for today, I rather experienced a worse than chain cafe.

As another review stated as well, they need to be retrained on how to speak with the elderly. The server yelled at a south Asian man who was just asking if he could buy his water at the cash register. He was polite even though she was not. She was completely fine talking to the lady with the fancy bag. Food is overpriced.
Hard to explain how poorly this place is run. Printers don’t print receipt. Screen asks for your name and phone for order updates. None of that matteres. Every item comes out random order with no name and no update. Better remember the screen number because you don’t get a printed receipt with it. 20 minutes to get a drip coffee a breakfast sandwich and a premade bagel through a toaster. 35 bucks.
Worst customer service I have ever encountered! The staff clearly doesn't want to be there, not friendly at all! I was ignored multiple times and they let tou know they weren't interested in serving the customer. Not even a smile for goodness sakes! If you can avoid this spot that is ridiculously overpriced skip it! The lack of service just makes paying the prices a harder pill to swallow. Horrible!
One of the wildest examples of edible food in the world. I’d rather eat the paper bag this breakfast sandwich came in. The staff is a bunch of sweeties though. Not their fault. :)
Probably some of the rudest staff members I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. They were very short with an elderly gentlemen in front of me and refused his cash. When I stepped up to the counter the employee walked away and told me use the kiosk as she went back to doing menial tasks instead of helping the line of customers. I didn’t even need to order anything, just checkout with a water and cookie I got from the shelf. Needs some serious retraining in customer service and management to enforce proper customs and courtesies.
