Mexican Village Los Angeles Reviews
A place having vibes and peoplethat make you feel at home. And yes, that means the food is excellent as well! Don't miss it...
You couldn’t ask for a better spot. Genuinely, the best place for a late night local dinner. I couldn’t feel more welcome, and taken care of.
This is my favorite local spot to grab margaritas and tasty food!!! I love the music, it’s friendly service and that’s it’s open late! 💕
My daughters took me to this restaurant and we loved it! Very authentic Mexican food!
This is one of my partner and I’s favorite places to visit and eat! The entire staff are absolutely delightful and make you feel right at home, and the food is INCREDIBLE! Some of the best authentic Mexican food you can find in LA, and at a great price point. Happy hour deals are also excellent, and they have such awesome Karaoke and DJ nights throughout the week. It’s truly a gem that’s rare to find in LA! ❤️
I have been coming to The Mexican village for 25 years. Abel is very service oriented the staff from the Bartenders Dani, David, and Abi make some delicious drinks. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive to the customer needs the music is good. Great place to have dinner, drinks and dancing.
There’s so much that goes into a restaraunt and like a fine tequila or wine, time and process are a big part of that. If this restaraunt was melted and funneled into a fajita dish, it would be just a giant solid hunk of GOLD. That’s it. Pure, solid, GOLD! Happiness is ‘The Mexican Village.’ It’s a restaraunt of community, tradition, and impressive consistency in all facets. Leave your judgment at home and come have a date night here. Vibes galore. Able and his father in particular could not be more human. Thank you to all the staff that make this timeless institution possible. Looking forward to so many more visits.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Loved Mexican Village! The atmosphere is cozy and authentic — perfect for relaxing and enjoying good food. I had simple fajitas that were full of flavor, and a mezcal margarita that was absolutely delicious. The service from Abigail, the bartender, was outstanding — super friendly, attentive, and full of great energy. She really made the experience special! You can also tell that the owner, Abel, is a very kind person who puts real care into the place. There’s a warm, genuine vibe throughout. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
A wonderful, family owned restaurant! They've been around for 60 years. Great food and really excellent drinks! Danny the bartender is a mezcal expert and it shows. Would recommend for big groups and fun celebrations. Plus, the owner and his wife were so friendly.
Nice little quaint restaurant with a great Mexican vibe. The decor along with the building’s architecture take you back to 1930s Mexico. Highlighted with the likes of Pancho Villa and Frida Kahlo. I had the Taco Trio, which comes with three tacos. One steak, one chicken, and one shrimp. The price is pretty decent considering the price of dining out in Los Angeles these days. The service is great especially since Wednesday night they have karaoke and they also have pet friendly events at the outdoor patio. This is my second time here and I’m definitely coming back. Dessert was okay though. Had the tres leche which I would have liked a bit more creamy. Best of all they always have the Dodgers on TV!
I had a combo plate with two crispy shredded beef tacos. It came with rice and beans. The beans had cheese melted on them. Just like I like them. Everything was really fresh and really good. Service was excellent and very attentive. I'd also like to note that the men's restroom was very clean. 👍🏼
A solid, unassuming venue with satisfying takes on classic dishes, with strong margaritas and a popular karaoke night. Neighborhood goto for the crew after work for some low-lit downtime.
One word... loud! This place is a good time, I've now been here a minimum of 3 times, and it's cool but very loud! The food is great, the queso fundido with chorizo is pretty good...I just wish there was more chorizo....lol so whatevs. We had the carne asada plate... which includes rice, beans, grilled chile, grilled green onion, pico, and guac...oh and I requested a chile relleno on the side I dont trust restaurant beans ever because of a story I heard as a child...so I always make sure to let restaurants know that I would rather not have any...I ordered my meat medium rare....because yeah no to well done... When my food arrived, I noticed beans, and the server declared that the meat was well done just like I asked....uhmm???...no! Politely I informed him of my requests and this man tells me that the way it was served was the way I asked for it...regardless I decided to stop engaging him at that time and I just told the very nice lady who took my order, she took it back and assured me that everything would be just like I asked....(This is great. Don't be that first guy) Once my food finally arrived...it was delicious! flavorful meat, rice was perfect (I love mexican rice, wish I could learn to make it). The guac... was guac-ing...and the sauce over the chile relleno was magic! So good! Minus that little incident everything else was perfectly lovely....by the time we were ready to leave...we couldn't wait to get the check because out of nowhere it got even louder...like really really loud, music, and parties at other tables! Check it out!
To start with Music is really loud! 🎶 it’s not necessarily good or bad thing- but just what type you prefer personally! We loved the vibe . I would give 5 stars without a doubt only if it wasn’t for the “glass break” noise that happens every 10 mins. It’s annoying- it’s one of their staff breaking/ trashing glass bottle or something like that. But that was super annoying. Out side of that- food. AMAZING! Service WONDERFUL. Our server was FANTASTIC being. He was just absolutely amazing. His name is Able. We loved the overall experience. Wish they can do something about that annoying glass break sound!
