Paoli's Piano Bar Los Angeles Reviews
David W. does a great job as a KJ. Service & food do not disappoint. Good to see old friends together from long ago at a recently reopened restaurant.
Unbelievable and EXCELLENTLY-prepared food here, with a tremendous variety👍. The Chef has spent quite some time in Greece, which allows him to incorporate deeeeelicious tasting items, with a wide variety of food, into the menu!! They have "Karaoke" most nights, so be prepared for a lively environment:). Clean atmosphere:); Our Waitess, Jess, could not have been more curtious, professional and helpful👍. Great Bartender too👍.
For me, this just about represents the pinnacle of an authentic cultural experience in this area. The karaoke is strange and endless and infuriating and amazing - which is everything you want in karaoke. The people are beautiful weirdoes. The food is excellent. This has all the feel of a true neighborhood bar, and we are lucky that people have the courage to keep something like this going.
We were shocked they changed their pizza and now its best in LA. Paolis' deep dish pizza was so good we were not prepared for what we got. Definitely the best in LA hands down winner and at affordable lower prices than other places for comparable size. But there is no comparable taste and quality in our opinion. The whole family agreed and they are a tough bunch to please.
If you're looking for a great dive bar with history and great people watching, come to this spot! They're open until 2am everyday and even better....they host karaoke everyday.🙌🏽🎤 I usually go here in the evenings to sing or to watch the other singers. You'll have a great time with friends!
We were heading to LAX and decided we wanted to eat so pulled off the highway at a random exit to get our bearings and see what was around. We found Paoli's via Google Maps and can't believe our actual fortune, the food was magnificent! This was my first time trying pizza with white (Alfredo) sauce and it was delicious! Pete the owner was a character, he comes from Greece but runs a fantastic Italian, the staff, the food and the stories are exactly why you should come here. If we were ever back in LA we'd be back here, until then it's just great memories of exquisite food.
I had previously only been here for drinks but decided I was in the mood for some italian food and figured I would give the place a try. It was a good choice! Came in on Thursday around 7:45 and got seated immediately. Someone was playing lots of memorable songs on the piano, which added a nice touch. Warm decor and lighting, great for a date. Cool thing about this place, they also (unexpectedly) serve amazing Greek food! We ordered the dolmades and they were amazing. Sure enough, the owner even comes out to meet us and no wonder the Greek food is on the menu... he's Greek. Lol. Very nice owner, many points scored. For our entree we got the pasta e olio with shrimp. Nice and light but flavorful and the shrimp were HUGE. Like, I had to cut them into three bites. Overall had an awesome experience and would highly recommend people check this place out for Greek or Italian food.
I really can't judge the food too well, since I usually only come here later in the night for karaoke. That said, I'm so happy they re-opened. Karaoke time is always a party! It can get really cramped inside, but I would expect that in a popular bar. Not the place to go, if you're looking for a quiet dinner.
How can you mess up pizza… when in it’s the actual name of the place? I was not a huge fan of their veggie pizza that I tried. It lacked in flavor and to me tasted dry. There was little sauce, which for me was maybe a good thing because I didn’t care for the marinara sauce, but normally I enjoy more sauce onto the pizza. However, besides the pizza there are positives! I love the ambiance. I love the darker room inside seating and the entertainment itself is wonderful. I enjoy listening to the piano guys and all the songs. Towards the end of the night they went around asking for recommendations. Our waitress Jewels was also lovely. Very kind and attentive. The Greek salad was also very good. I’ll probably order something else next time that isn’t pizza. They have gluten free options here as well and vegetarian options, so this is a good place to pick for groups so everyone can pick something they will enjoy. Located on Ventura Blvd. Metered parking out front or park in their small parking lot behind the restaurant.
A good solid place if only a little too crowded. The best part of Paoli's is to come for the karaoke. People come from all over the valley to sing their and there are some seriously talented performers that show up. They have a very large selection of songs to sing, and even the organizer gets into the act and sings. The place is almost always extremely crowded and it is actually hard to eat dinner there because of people going back and forth and dancing all around you. Because the place is so crowded it is also hard to get service although the staff is very nice and kind. The food is so so, I'm not trying to hurt anyone's business but the whole point of a review is to be honest so for me, the pizza is weird because it really doesn't have much cheese on it and is mostly sauce, and coming from the East Coast I'm used to pizza having cheese. The pasta is overcooked and mushy, but the bread they bring to the table is top-notch. The salads were well put together though and tasty. Definitely worth a visit but I would eat somewhere else first and come for the karaoke.
I ordered a cheese deep dish pizza to go, and was underwhelmed by it. The pizza didn't have much flavor - the crust just tasted salty and the sauce was a little bland. There was a good amount of cheese, but very little sauce to compare. Keep in mind that deep dishes can take 20-25 minutes to cook so be sure to order ahead for carryout. Unfortunately the waitress that took my order seemed quite distracted even though there weren't that many people here. Also, is there supposed to be a piano here?
This used to be my favorite karaoke place when I first moved to the valley 2 1/2 years ago. I used to recommend to all my friends. Now this place is awful. The staff is constantly new and turning over, the ownership is a laughing stock rude to guests, electricity out. They keep adjusting hours but there have been several instances of gun shots and stabbings. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I can’t believe this place still had 4.3 stars after all the horrible service and bad experiences people have had of late.
My partner and I came here for dinner to hear the karaoke. bartender ignored us for a good 5mins when we got in. She was more interested in talking to a friend who was sitting at the bar than helping us. Finally she decided to help us because she passed by us and told us she had no server and nothing to really eat. We were told they have no menus because the manger told them not to pass any out and that they didn’t serve pizza. We noticed that other guests had pizza at their tables and asked why she was telling us no pizza so she changed it to “we ran out”. She offered us “wings” and that’s it. I’m very disappointed because I’ve waited to come here for a long time and have had so many people rant and rave just to feel like I wasn’t wanted in the establishment.
I have been going here since 2020 and it has been one of my favorite pizza spots so much so that I get the white sauce and I hate white sauce pizzas usually. However unfortunately the last 2 times I have gotten a burnt pizza that is half unedible and for the last 3 times has been an entirely new staff each time. I used to recommend this place to all my uber riders but no longer after tonight as this will be the last time I go here unfortunately.
