Pick up stix Los Angeles Reviews
I don’t normally go out of my way to review a chain in an airport but I had to give credit— I was in line today (wed 3pm) and it was pretty busy. Let me tell you, those employees are HARD WORKERS. They were locked in, pumping out orders, and all kind/patient. I think all 3 deserve raises because they were all absolutely killing it. 20/10 ⭐️
LaDarrell made our visit absolutley the very best it could be. He was enthusiastic, and cared about us and making sure we got what we needed. He was so welcoming and sweet and honestly I'd fly into LAX just to see his bright smiling face. Give this guys a bonus, because he deserves it! I've never felt so seen and cared for in an airport, ever. Thank you buddy, you made our day!
Great place to eat, all of their dishes are delicious, especially the Fried Rice, and Egg Rolls ❤💜
October 21st 5:30PM Vibes are great here, you know the man behind the counter loves their job I was in the airport for all of an hour and half, this place was the only part of the airport where I wasn’t miserable First place I’m going if I have a layover here again
Had a surprisingly great experience grabbing food at Pick Up Stix inside LAX. For an airport restaurant, this spot definitely stands out. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quick — perfect if you’re trying to eat something real before a flight instead of settling for a random snack. They had a solid selection of Asian-inspired dishes — everything from orange chicken to noodles and veggies that actually tasted freshly made. You can tell they care about quality even though it’s in a high-traffic airport environment. What really caught my attention was their drink selection. They have a good lineup of beers, and the prices were honestly impressive for an airport. $8 for a cold beer at LAX? That’s a win. Most other places charge nearly double, so it felt fair and made the meal even better. Overall, Pick Up Stix at LAX is a great spot to relax, have a quality meal, and enjoy a beer before your flight. Friendly staff, good food, and fair prices — can’t ask for much more at an airport restaurant. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re flying through LAX. had an excellent experience dining at Pick Up Stix inside LAX Airport. For an airport restaurant, this location truly exceeded expectations in both quality and value. The food was fresh, flavorful, and prepared quickly — a perfect combination for travelers looking for something satisfying before or between flights. Pick Up Stix offers a wide range of Asian-inspired dishes, including fan favorites like orange chicken, teriyaki bowls, fried rice, and noodles. The ingredients tasted fresh and well-seasoned, not overly salty or greasy like you sometimes find at airport spots. The portions were generous, and the presentation was great, especially considering how busy the terminal can get. One of the standout features of this location is the beer selection. They offer several options on tap and in bottles, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable — only $8 per beer, which is a great deal compared to most airport bars and restaurants. It’s rare to find such a fair price for alcohol at LAX, and it really added to the overall positive experience. The staff was friendly, efficient, and attentive despite the constant flow of travelers. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable, with plenty of seating and quick service that still felt personal. It’s a great spot to relax, enjoy a freshly prepared meal, and have a cold beer before boarding. Overall, I highly recommend Pick Up Stix at LAX to anyone looking for quality food, great service, and fair prices while traveling. Whether you’re in a rush or have time to unwind, this place delivers excellent value and a great taste of comfort right in the middle of the airport. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I fly through Los Angeles. I was real hungry the food but the spot would definitely recommend.
12/10 I would definitely recommend stopping by and asking for LeDarren Carbo his amazing customer service drew us into the food area! Great humour, warm atmosphere and positive attitude! Peace and blessings right back at ya!

Very good staff. Food is far too sweet. Even the vegetables were sweet.
My young daughter really enjoyed her food, I didn’t think it was amazing, but it’s slightly better than some of the other options. It’s crazy how expensive airport food is, and you’re guaranteed low quality.
It's fast food Chinese food at the airport, you can't have high expectations. All food at all airports is expensive. But the food was hot, and the vegetables were fresh. And the guy serving me, LeDarrin (sp?) was funny and great, made me smile -- give him a raise or give him a promotion!
Ok place to eat at LAx . The staff is very attentive and friendly . The food is delicious, but too oily . Reasonable price for airport food court. No complains
The food it self is giving average food court vibes. Nothing too special but if you're at the airport and grab this, it'll do. The menu says they have shrimp but that's incorrect. The service is great though, very friendly staff willing to answer all questions and help you get most bang for your buck.
Nothing special. Average food court Amemricanized Chinese food, priced like it has a Michelin star.

This place has plain rice, fried rice fried noodles etc to choose from. They have various toppings including good options for vegetarians. The staffs are sweet & helpful.

Honey chicken was ok. Kung Pao chicken was terrible. Friendly workers. Couldn’t find a spot to sit.
Got the noddles broccoli and beef and bourbon chicken it was sooo salty my throat was sore from so much salt broccoli no longer crunchy sitting there too long too oily, never again honestly ate it out of necessity I been on a two days trip barely eating
Tasteless and expensive Asian food. I would have rather throw away $52 than eat this horrid food.

They could easily provide vegan options, but they choose to add fish or oyster sauce to everything instead. No vegan option. Please add some, it’s LA In 2026, this is just silly. Staff was nice tho
The food is excessively sweet. Compared to other Chinese cuisine, I’d rate it 3/10. It’s definitely not authentic.

Extremely rude server .. will simply push you around frm one to another.yell and be mean to you and ask u to hurry.wont let you choose the items either... Wouldn't help or explain what's on the menu or how it works for a 1st timer.. food is awful 😔 Doesn't taste good at all... The pics uploaded would show you who's working and the rude cashier and servers .. it's not clear but people who knows them or their higher management might figure out ... Anyway not going to eat here ever again
Asian food cooked by someone who doesn’t know what Asian food is, or perhaps someone with no clue of what cooking is. Extremely salty and dried, too much soy sauce in most of the chicken plates. I ate only half of the portion and dumped the rest, puked everything out after a while. You would expect food to be bad at a busy airport, but not something like this.
Well this place is a one time occasion. I looked at the offerings available and asked if there's anything else to choose from? The server says this is all we have because we're closing. That should have been my red lights flashing!!Orange chicken, should be called orange fried batter. The noodles were soggy, the rice was maybe two star. Broccoli beef, meat was tough and dry. Broccoli beef costs extra because of the price of meat. The food was salty. Went to pay with cash, nope, sorry we have no change, card only. Forgettable experience for $18.00. I will not be stopping there again, I will keep walking to Jersey Mike's for a sub. 1.25 stars!
As an Asian, I’m not surprised that Asian food in the U.S. differs from authentic Asian cuisine. However, this restaurant’s stir-fried noodles and side dishes rely heavily on overpowering seasonings that mask the actual flavors of the food. If I had to compare it to Panda Express, I’d say this place might not even come close to what you’d consider Asian food.
Went here to try and felt rushed to make a selection from the start. Then when I tried to pay I was talking to the cashier and she didn’t acknowledge me at all and kept talking to her coworkers/ laughing. Then when she realized I was waiting on her she said “sorry” then punched in my order said my total threw my receipt or in the bag didn’t say have a nice day or anything to let me know the transaction was complete. The girl was Hispanic looking and on the shorter side. I found that incredibly rude in every way. Aside from that the food was not very good. The noodles have a weird sweet taste to them.
Worst airport asian fast food ever been,,, food doesn’t smells right, smells bad 🤮🤢.. Put mine in the garbage can right away… Service ain’t that nice as well. Asked for military discount and counter said sorry you’re late but I haven’t swiped my card yet
My family inquired what I was doing during my layover. "Eating the worst asian food known to man" I texted them. Received really nice service here, but the food was so disgusting I would have been better off eating nothing and crumpling a $20 into the nearest trash bin.
By far the worst food I’ve ever had. Saucy, oily, and excessive sweet and salty. Broccoli beef tastes like they dumped an entire bag of sugar and salt in it, stung my tongue. Should’ve spent the $20 on instant noodles.
Food tasted gross, specifically this chicken dish they have. The fried rice and the honey chicken was okay, but definitely skip it and go somewhere else, this was not worth it at all. My mom went and got something somewhere else and i definitely regretted my decision coming here.
Let's be honest, not very many of the food options at the Los Angeles airport are very good. I chose this establishment because I thought you know. If I can't get anything that's great, I'll at least go for volume. This was a bad decision, as I ended up getting a large quantity of hot garbage. The rice tastes like it was sourced from an elementary schools lunchroom a week ago. The noodles tasted like they came out of a mop bucket, and ask for the chicken. They would have been way better off heating up frozen Chinese food from the store. How in the world does a restaurant like this end up in one of the most prominent airports in America? I still have no idea, but I feel sorry for everyone arriving internationally that has this as one of their options for something to eat. Please go somewhere else with your money. Also on a side note, the customer service here sucks.
I saw the bad reviews and said how bad could it be.But was stubborn and wanted some warm food. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Small portion and VERY I mean very bland food. All of it tastes the same. If you’re indecisive just starve and save the $18 (no drink included) or go to Jersey Mikes next door and get a cold sandwich. I wish I had done that.
I regretted big time for not looking at the rating first before I bought the food. The food is by far the worst food I have tasted. It appeared to be Asian food, but absolutely nothing Asian, very salty, weird goofy taste, and either over cooked and overnighted. Not healthy!!!!
Disgusting "food". Run from this place. We made the mistake of having dinner here before our 15 hrs flight to Sydney. Panda Express is fine dining compared to this place. $40 down the toilet for two people. The entire flight I wanted to puke because of how salty and extremely sweet at the same time the food is. Avoid.
Worst food Ive ever had anywhere. I wouldn’t usually bother reviewing something this bad, but we don’t have any optioNs at the airport. The food is criminally bad. Don’t eat here.
My mom and I got food from here before going to our hotel. The staff was friendly but the gentleman barely put any food in our containers. When we got back to the hotel and started eating, we instantly noticed that nothing tasted as it's supposed to. My spicy chicken tasted sweet. My orange chicken tasted like it had Buffalo sauce in it and the noodles tasted as if they had a spice in it that went to a Thanksgiving pie or something. The egg rolls my mom compared to as tasting like sewer water.... overall, gross and never again!
The food looks nice at first glance, but don’t let it fool you. It tasted like nothing and was just a whole bunch of oil. Disappointing overall.
I’m a foodie. This place by far the worst fast food Asian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at!! They must not get a lot of customers. We had the bourbon chicken, the orange chicken, curry, fried rice & noodles. The meat dishes has an “old/ stale taste” to it. The noodles were overly soggy. Everything was overly sweet, too. Panda Express would be rated a 10 compared to this so called “Asian cuisine.” Never would I try this again or recommend it to anyone. Having flown in from Hawai’i, we were hungry & had a 2 hour layover. Thought we would try some Asian food. Wrong choice & waste of money. The kids didn’t even want to eat it, ended up throwing half of it away. We just couldn’t eat it anymore regardless of how much sriracha sauce we out on it. 🤢🤢
Got very disappointed how serving is way less for 2 box and a drink and still give them a tip what waste!
I was really disappointed with my visit. The rice, noodles, broccoli beef, and orange chicken were all extremely salty and sickeningly sweet. The service was painfully slow and the staff didn’t seem to care at all. Never try to eat this at the airport—absolutely not worth it.
The portions are very small, and the staff is extremely unfriendly. The staff service absolutely needs improvement.
Really bad food, super sweet and dry of your money and Time and your health Only look nice 😢😢😢😢
The food here is mediocre! Period. I paid almost $40 for 2 orders with three items each, 2 chicken rolls and 1 fountain drink. The food is salty, and the orange chicken does not taste like orange chicken. The noodles are not even good nor taste Asian at all. I honestly felt so sick after eating here. I got a stomach ache and diarrhea. I stopped here with my son because we were in an international flight and we had a 2 he. layover. We hadn’t ate since the night before and it was getting late. We had another flight to catch and they weren’t offering food in our flights. I regret buying food here. The staff is rude, unprofessional, and simply mean. The food is extremely overpriced. Not worth it. Next time I’ll simply take some cookies and/or chips with me. Rather than stopping by here. Travelers are exhausted, tired, and hungry. We don’t need mediocre food that will cost an arm and a leg and to put a cherry on top rude staff. That’s not ok.

Ugh the worst food ever. Cold, tasteless and disgusting. I got house chicken with bourbon chicken fried rice and noodles. Noodles were so sticky and tasteless and lumpy mushy. Eww don’t eat it here please. Save that $20 and go somewhere else to eat. I made that mistake and will never ever eat here again. The lady on cashier is so mean. She did not even give me napkin or fork for my food and instead rolled her eyes when I asked for one. I got food today and had to post it how awful this place is.
The food was gross, rice over salted, noodles under seasoned, honey chicken too sweet, and the service was rude. Wish I would have seen the 1.9 rating. They are in LAX and they don’t care.
came here on october 14 around 5:10pm. the gentleman behind the counter was absolutely amazing, he truly know what customer service is. he greeted us and let us know he is available for any questions. he got my food for me and then i proceeded to pay. the woman at the cash register was HORRIBLE and made the experience terrible just by her attitude alone. since i’m canadian, my card will act up and a transaction will show as declined if i don’t insert it and use my pin. the machine showed decline and i said “i may need to try again and insert it” to which she says with an obviously annoyed attitude “so insert it then!” before going back to talking to her coworker and cussing with children around. would have been a better experience without her altogether. don’t hire people who obviously have no interest in working customer service! she was horrible.
Can I give zero stars? lol absolutely horrible food probably the worst I’ve had. And not to mention the customer service, had a young daughter with me who still can not have honey and when I asked if some of the dishes had honey the worker was so extremely rude. I had 3 people behind me on a fast food that all you do is pour the food in a container we never even held up the line when asking so can even use the “being busy” as an excuse. Stay away from this place! Not to mention the extremely overpriced meals.
