Stopped by Ugo in Culver City for some Italian and had a really solid meal. We ordered a mix of pizzas, pasta, grilled octopus, prosciutto eggs benedict, and finished with gelato. Everything came out at a good pace, service was straightforward, and the food was consistent across the board. The Figo Neapolitan Pizza and grilled octopus were definitely the highlights for me — the pizza had a subtle sweetness that worked really well, and the octopus was tender with a nice char. The fettuccine pescatore was also very solid, plenty of seafood but still easy to finish. The Margherita pizza was simple but well done, and the eggs benedict hit the brunch spot with the prosciutto adding the right amount of saltiness. We wrapped it up with the gelato, which was honestly incredible — probably the best we’ve had recently and a great cap to the meal. Overall, nothing felt over the top or complicated, just solid Italian food done well. It’s the kind of place you’d come back to without overthinking it — good flavors, consistent dishes, and dessert that actually makes you want to linger a little longer.

Delicious! Our server was so sweet and my pasta, pizza, bread, and arancini was great! Everything tasted so fresh and was just great overall. Will come again.

Very nice location in Culver City. We went for happy hour. Had the Margherita pizza, calamari and croquettes. Their pistachio gelato is bomb. We'll be back to try their pasta and main courses on the menu. Clean place, friendly staff. It's a nice place to unwind to cap the week.

Big tables are all outdoors. It's easy to make reservations on Resy, but the site says all tables are inside only and they actually only have a couple of small tables inside, so be aware you will most likely be outside. The food is nice, fancy Italian food, with homemade cheeses and DOC cheeses. Real Italian style pizza and gelato. The gelatos are also freshly made there.

I love Ugo!! True Neapolitan pizza unlike anywhere else in Los Angeles

The happy hour menu is quite decent. $13 for personal sized pizza and bruschetta. $14 for Calamari. $10 for sangria.

Amazing experience! Hannah (our server) was cool, down to earth. The bottomless drinks were great, the food was tasty, you can tell they use only quality ingredients… will definitely come back!!

Great spot for Neapolitan style pizza. Eating outside for lunch, under the jacarandas—what could be better. The “Figo” pizza is a standout, if you like sweet/savory.

Absolutely loved the pistachio gelato—it’s made entirely with real pistachios (no dyes!) and the flavor is incredible. Fusoon and Ugo were fantastic hosts—so warm, friendly, and attentive. Such a wonderful experience all around!

Honestly, this has become my Friday night go to. If my boyfriend and I can’t decide where to eat, we just end up here. The service is always great and their chopped salad is incredible, so fresh and flavorful. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and the fried calamari is definitely a highlight. Ugo is just the perfect spot to chill, eat something delicious, and relax. Highly recommend.

Very tasty, I recommend trying pasta and pizza and definitely gelato, they make it themselves. They also made me a personal alcohol-free cocktail, incredibly delicious. But be prepared that you will not get service like in Italy, the guys are sometimes so busy that you will have to wait decently, just be ready

Awesome fresh and delicious real Italian dishes. The Gelato is some of the best I have ever had. I highly recommend. The patio seating is great and the Culver City parking structure is a very close, about a half a block.....Very convenient.

Visited this place with a colleague on a Monday evening. The food was very good. Super tasted. Ate everything. We had the lobster ravioli and the penne pesto. As an appetizer we started with the fried mozzarella. And ended with some top tier gelato. The food is great; go for the food if that’s your thing. If you are into ambiance, then try another spot. For example, I wouldn’t take a person here on a really romantic date. It’s just not that kind of vibe but if you don’t care about that then the food is worth the trip. Service was ok; I’ve had better.

We came for happy hour and had a really nice time. Our server was lovely and super accommodating. I had the Chicken Pesto Panini. It wasn't what I was expecting--the bread was thinner than a traditional panini, but I still enjoyed it. The Bread Bowl Pasta was great. As was the Figo Pizza.

There's one entrée I stick to at Ugo's. I've tried one other dish and didn't love it, so I get the same thing every time; the tortellini limone. I only get one dessert, tirimusu. Today, both were off... the pasta is usually seasoned perfectly with a hint of lemon. Today, there was zero lemon and so over salted that it tasted like a packaged pasta. Their tirimusu ranked top 2 for me, and I've had a loooooot of tirimusu! Today, it dropped to number 7 or 8. With that being said... the manager and waitress were amazing. They were very understanding and patient. They took the meals off our bill without hesitation. They offered to remake them, and overall, they were great! Going here & getting this meal has become a tradition to celebrate accomplishments for my daughter and I, so I'm hoping this was just a bad day because I really do enjoy this restaurant.

I visited Ugo on a recent Tuesday evening with friends, eager to try their Italian fare. The penne boscaiola was ok. While the sauce was creamy and flavorful, it lacked the promised porcini mushrooms and pancetta. The dish felt a bit heavy on the pasta and light on the promised ingredients. The panzerotti, however, was a delightful surprise. Crispy on the outside and filled with savory goodness, it was a standout dish that I'd happily order again. I couldn’t even get a picture because it was so good! For dessert, I opted for the napoleon. Unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The pastry was less than crisp, and the overall texture felt a bit stale. The cream filling was tasty. Despite the mixed experience, I'm intrigued by their pizza and cheesecake. I'll definitely be back to give those a try.

I haven’t eaten dinner here in years so don’t recall the food but had dessert and wine with my daughter the other day and we loved our sweet waitress, the tiramisu and of course having a few glasses of wine on the patio.

Italian place in downtown Culver. Came here on a Wednesday evening with no reservation for dinner but still got seated immediately. We had a margherita pizza, penne pasta, and brussel sprouts. Given that it’s in downtown culver, prices were higher than the quality of the food warranted. The brussel sprouts were undercooked and the pasta was tasteless. Our waitress didn’t come by to check in with us so we had no water refill the entire meal. That being said, the seating outside was good for people watching, although the tables were dirty due to the fallen leaves.

We went to Ugo at 6 pm, after seeing a movie across the street. We ordered fried calamari and two pizzas. The fried calamari was weird: the batter wasn't the usual lightly crispy kind but a solid, unappetizing one. We did not eat even half. The two pizzas were disappointing because the dough was rubbery, difficult to chew, and without any salt. We asked for a salt shaker and they brought one, but the salt inside would not come out. We pointed that out to the waiter, and he laughed and told us that that's the way it is and left. We will never come back.

Dinner tonight was OK. Really just OK. But $100 for a personal pizza, spinach ravioli, a glass of wine and a spritzer should mean better than OK. The quality and taste was missing. Just felt like the ingredients were sub-par or maybe there’s a new guy. I don’t have a talented enough palette to tell you what was off with the food but I can say that the spritzer tasted like it was made by a 16 year old. Nothing was wrong but also nothing was right. I’d probably feel a bit better if this was a forgettable experience but it was so “meh” that it sticks out. Like driving through Kansas.

We ordered the portobello mushroom fries. I specifically asked for them lightly done. They were so well done. They were one step away from being burnt to a crisp. Then for $15 they literally gave us 6 fries! That’s $2.50 per fry! For something that was burnt & impossible to chew. We ordered lobster ravioli, which we spent $28 on. We received four ravioli that were half hollow. There was not one tiny piece of lobster either! I am 100% positive that they used artificial lobster surimi stix (Which are made of cheap pollock & Cornstarch, etc.) becz I am allergic to pollock & I had a bad reaction. This is where the fact that they skimped on ingredients was to my benefit or else my reaction would’ve been worse. I took a photo of the so called “ Lobster” ravioli So you can see the minuscule amount of ingredients they gave & they were even cheap with the cheap surimi! Don’t expect anyone to be in charge. The owner is so cheap. They don’t even have a manager on premises.& It took 3 weeks of calling nonstop Until the owner‘s wife called me back. She asked me why I would expect to find real lobster Inside lobster ravioli 😂😂😂

TV in the lounge is too small! Love this place but during major games some folks (me) come to watch a game in the background. Plus, during winter, a warm fireplace scene would be cool. Thanks for listening. 😊📺
