Wahoo's Fish Taco Los Angeles Reviews
$3.50 for chips and salsa at LAX feels criminal. Nice to see a company that doesn't gouge for being in the airport. Great taste too.
For the price, awesome! Airports are known for having over priced, mediocre food but for $13 we got a good sized burrito with a drink (I got a coffee). The burrito filled me up and didn't seem too much more than it would cost in the actual restaurant. Definitely one of the better choices when your at this terminal
I was pleasantly surprised by the price and taste of their fish quesadilla. They gave me a very large portion of four pieces of fish and cheese quesadilla that I wasn't able to finish eating in one sitting.
Had the banzai bowls. Chicken and other one was fish. Delicious. A bit salty but great portions. Nice and filling. Prices are $15ish which is about the price of any meal at this airport. Would recommend as good joint for terminal 6 at LAX
Wahoo is a unique airport establishment in that it serves filling portions at a reasonable price. Great flavors in their authentic breakfast and afternoon offerings make this an easy recommendation. I had a breakfast burrito, which inspired this review.

Ordered the breakfast sandwich with shredded carne asada. Tasty never had telera bread before. The sandwich was loaded with meat eggs black beans and a island aioli sauce (tasty.) The BF had the loaded nachos with carne asada.. The portions are large we could have shared easily. Can get busy at times, but there is an option to order at a kiosk to avoid the wait. But it's by credit card only. Nice option for airport food.
Food was OK. Slightly more water used to cook the rice than I'd prefer, so it made the burrito a bit mushier than expected, but otherwise, I managed to avoid any of the charge issues other people have experienced, and it came out fairly quick.

This is a decent place. The employees are nice, the food is reasonably priced, the taste is like any other Mexican/American fast food chain restaurant, so nothing new. Don't get me wrong, it's better than many other options around this terminal, it's just different than what you would find in a real restaurant. Still a good choice to go to when in this terminal.
Stopped here during a layover and ordered the two chicken taco plate. The chicken was dry even after smothering it with salsa. The portion size though was huge and couldn't finish. What can you expect at the airport?
Pretty basic vegetarian food if that's what you're looking for. No veggies even. Just rice, beans and cheese.
Their fish tacos were really good, a bit more sauce and it would have been perfect. Service was fast and efficient. We came a bit early and only the breakfast menu was up. We asked for the lunch menu and only their fish tacos was available, which is what I tried!

Should have read the reviews before ordering. Steak was dry, fish taco was like a fish finger and they microwaved my food to make it warm. The best part of the two taco meal is the black beans and rice
Expensive and frankly dry food. I wish that there would have been a little more moisture and a lot more flavor to the meal. And the prices, even for an airport were on the high side. Hope the Wahoo folks can work on the flavor and taste here.
Don’t order from the kiosk! If it’s even available. Go fetch the manager from the Habit if you need to order. The computer timed out and there was a big confusion with our order and payment. Then the food was subpar for the price paid and the o convenience. They didn’t even offer free chips and salsa for the aggravation. C’mon LAX! You’re extreme price gouging warrants exceptional service at the very least OR good food. But to get meh food and meh service for a 18 dollar burrito that we wait a half an hour for?! Sheesh.

Gate 65B. Piss poor showing this visit!!! “Just a sprinkle of cheese “ the cook says! See the tip of the knife :( When you see “cheese” on the menu you expect cheese in the burrito, right? BTW I had to ask for the jalapeños even though they, too, are advertised on the menu!!! And what a fuss over a side of sour cream that we did pay for.
I got charged $11 for bean tacos because the look wouldn’t let me order anything but chicken tacos. I asked the one cook who was working if he could put beans on and it instead of chicken and he gave me attitude like it was a big inconvenience that I don’t eat meat. I felt very disrespected and ripped off from this restaurant.
Hadn't been to Wahoo's in many, many years and man has it gone down in quality. It's the kind of tacos I'd expect from a mediocre cafeteria. Gummy rice, bland beans, cheddar cheese on greasy, bland fried fish tacos. Def not the Wahoo's of my youth. Give this a hard pass. Also they are cheaping out by making you order from a computer.
LAX Terminal 6 Wahoos: Absolutely the WORST fish tacos I have ever been served. Soggy cold breaking, wrapped around a tiny argument of overcooked...tilapia? Who knows? The "meal" was inedible. I threw it out and went hungry on my flight, because service was so slow I didn't have time to go somewhere else.
Terrible Service. I was the only one waiting for food after ordering on the kiosk. There were 3 people chatting it up in back. Then a gal comes out, singing songs and slaps food in the to go box and started waking away. I said I ordered a bottle of Diet Pepsi. She looked at me and said how about a cup for the fountain. I said no, I orders a bottle. So she goes and gets a bottle of Pepsi, not diet. I said diet, she roles her eyes and started waking back. Another employee walked out from the kitchen area and handed me my bottle of diet. Will never go to another wahoos again.
2nd time in a week flying through this terminal and eating here. Short staffed, automated order kiosk glitchy, with food taking a long time and being thrown together. What happened to Wahoos? Used to be amazing. They didn’t even have the green sauce for the chicken bowl they are selling. Asked for other sauces, and they gave me one that looked like it had gone bad by the swollen plastic lid.
I am not one to leave bad reviews, but do not eat here my boyfriend and I got food poisoning on Christmas Eve and have been so sick all night. This is nothing like the wahoos food I grew up on. Avoid eating here!
So... Let me first begin by saying how much I used to LOVE Wahoo's when I lived in South Orange County, the food was great, the service was even better, they employees were always super courteous. From the time you place the order to when you're leaving. When I moved to Vancouver, I would tell my friends how much I wished Wahoo's existed in British Columbia. When I come home to visit my mom, I don't always get to stop by a Wahoo's because there aren't any near her house. But I knew, at least there's one at the airport terminal on the way out. It's been a long 3 years since the last time I visited SoCal (due to Covid-19), I just now had a terrible experience with the one at Terminal 6 (May 28th, 2022, at approximately 11:30am). First of all, there are no longer employees to take your order, it's a kiosk style ordering method... just goes to show, times have changed 😒. I placed an order of 2 chicken burritos with no beans (1 for later on the flight), I looked around and didn't see any fountain drink dispenser so I figured bottled drinks were the only option. I paid for the order, took the receipt and walked over to the "Pick Up" counter, at which point, I realized that they DID offered fountain drinks, it wasn't visible by the kiosks (if there were actual employees taking my order, I wouldn't have to play the guessing game). So, I immediately went back and placed an order for a fountain drink. Again, no employees there to give me the cup. So I waited by the pick up counter for my burritos when they were ready, the male employee called out blatantly "2 chicken burritos, no beans!", I proceeded to take my order and said to him "I also have a drink", I guess he didn't know I had placed a 2nd order, he just pointed to the kiosks, and blatantly said something I couldn't hear. And his expression was downright unfriendly. The other employee (female) figured out what had happened and quickly got me a cup. But as I was walking away, that male employee was still giving me a dirty look. I just spent $35 USD for 2 burritos and a drink (that's near $45 CAD) ... Trust me on this, that's the last time I give Wahoo's money Oh and the burritos weren't as good as I remember
This was the worst burrito I’ve ever had. Usually Wahoo’s is pretty bomb, this did not represent the brand very well. This is California, bad Mexican food shouldn’t be a thing. On a good note, the woman working was very friendly.
I ordered at Lax t6 for a wahoo bowl paid $17 and all I got was a bowl of salty rice. By the time I saw it I was at t5 boarded my flight. Total rip off !!!
I was so excited to see this at LAX and unfortunate it was not a great experience. Slow prep, it took over 20 minutes. Beans were watery and fish was poor quality. Such a drastic difference from their other Wahoos restaurants in Southern California. I do not recommend.
bro there was a leaf in my sauce and bro the portions on the photo ARE THREE TIMES WHAT YOU GET BRO… AND the food is reheated garbage please don’t eat here or the burger the food doesn’t work it’s a simulation
Fish tacos were inedible! I literally spit out the only bit I tried! Beans were not warm enough to melt the cheese they were topped with. Do NOT recommend unless you have never eaten food before and have a desire to try the most disgusting fish tacos!
10:15 pm ,2/28/25 ordered taco plate (one fish, one steak)and chips salsa, they got my order wrong but no big deal, manager fixed it , but everything had a bad taste, old oil, , fish cold and awful taste, steak, same , smelled like something was off , I hope I will be ok to fly and not vomit all over the place. I did let the workers know that it was terrible, don’t need money back but it all went to trash
I love wahoos but THIS was aweful. Didnt even taste like the normal restaurant— the chicken was all brown meat and smelled so unappetizing. So disappointed and wasted over $25.
By far, the worst fish tacos I have ever had the displeasure of eating. Fish must come from some frozen fish stick package, horrible taste, some yellow cheese melted all over the base of the taco. I am embarrassed for them for calling this a taco in the city of LA.
They serve bad food. We ordered tacos and their bowl. The food looked like hospital food and so sad and pale. We tried it and it was not Mexican from any means . No flavor, nothing Mexican. Some boiled chicken ( or was it grilled- sorry couldn’t differentiate) , some baked beans, some rice and salsa. I could have brought these ingredients separately from a super market and eaten it! Please avoid this place unless there is nothing left to explore in the airport. Don’t go with the belief that LA will have good Mexican food so will Wawoo. That’s a mistake I did. Had to trash most of my food and settled for something else in another restaurant. The lady at the reception was good and so was the speed with which the food was delivered. I will take sometime to recover from this feeling and try Mexican Food again. I love food so this place will not be in my radar ever!
Do NOT order the fish tacos! They are these gross processed fish sticks (like the gross ones in the freezer section, only worse. They microwave the whole order and then dump some bland slaw on the tacos in a weak attempt to make it seem marginally fresh. At nearly $20 a total rip off!

Bad quality food. No steak in their steak burritos. They serve the burritos when they’re splitting open with no forks or plates, just a small piece of foil. They’ll replace it, but it doesn’t fix the problem that the tortillas bust open and everything spills out. I wish I had to read the reviews of so many one stars. I thought other people should know don’t waste your time or money.
Worst burrito ever ! Just had dried chicken , white rice , and beans. Which is very strange not a single veggie.
Wow, this place shattered my expectations! I always thought that there was a pretty high floor for how good a burrito would be—like, I've had burritos that were bad compared to other burritos, but never one that was bad as a meal. The fish was dry, the rice was dry, and even the beans were somehow dry. The only moisture in the whole thing was from the cheese, which was put in cold and heated by the burrito itself just enough to get it all sweaty, without letting it melt at all. Honestly, I almost recommend this as a novelty experience, because I don't know if there's anywhere you could get a worse burrito, though I'll bet Europe has some contenders
We had fish burritos and chicken rice bowl. It was horrible. The food was tasteless like cardboard. It’s not that difficult to add some spices, some cilantro and some grilled veggies to make the food edible. There were no vegetables or any kind of seasoning. Just a ton of rice, beans and little bit of meat. It cost 56$ for 2 people. Essentially if you’re going to spend your hard earned money, make it it count somewhere else. This establishment does not belong in an international airport.
I was stoked to see a Wahoo’s at LAX, but I should’ve read the other reviews first. This location is nothing like the Wahoo’s I’ve had before. I remember tasty grilled whitefish, fresh veggies, and walking out happy. Instead I got fried fish sticks dumped on rice with a pile of cheese on top. Super mediocre, especially for $25. Posting this for two reasons: 1. So you don’t waste your money. 2. Hoping Wahoo’s management sees this and fixes whatever’s going on here. Big letdown.
Side Crispy Fish without tortilla or rice still spiked my blood sugar quite a lot. Way too much batter on a small fish fillet.
