Great location for a quick dinner near campus. This location is consistently fast, always friendly, and the food is delicious. They have been out of potatoes a few times, but that is easy to understand with how busy this location is. The dining area always has a few customers, but it has never felt overcrowded or overwhelming to me or to my family.

I chose to have soup and half a sandwich. Boy, was I glad I did. A whole sandwich would have been beyond my abilities! Also, I experienced great service from the counter to the wait staff. It was a great surprise. My children used to love McAllister's Deli when they were in High School. I would come here and everyone else would be served and going home before I ever got my food. So, to recieve such great service was a bonus for me. I got my food first and had to wait for others, not long, but it was a welcome change.

Food was great! I got the Italian and the Arnold Palmer. I was with my family and my newborn son. My hands were full and the employees helped us with our drinks to the table. The employees here always have a great attitude!! Love this place.

I loved the service I was provided by all of the staff. The gentalman who brought me my food was energetic and had a smile on his face the whole time. I am definitely making this my lunch spot at least once a week! the GM came and asked me how everything was and seemed to be doing an absolutely AMAZING job. I am completely satisfied with this store!!

Got to try McAlister's Deli for the first time while visiting Lubbock, TX from CA.. Their prices are low compared to where I'm from .. about a $5+ difference for a similar sandwich, not to mention the free side that comes with it. Sandwiches are made with quality ingredients & side offerings are plenty. I got a free large iced tea for my first time ordering thru the app. It was so refreshing, and brewed perfectly. Employees are friendly & dining room is tidy. Recommend.

Facilty very clean, staff friendly, foos service was quick with food appearances being great. Overall the food quality was good, but I think lacking in a pop of flavor. Potato (spuds) had great toppings but under the toppings was dry. Cheese steak sandwich was fair, the beef could use additional seasoning and a spread of cheese besides the melted topping of cheese. The Au Jus was more like a beef broth soup lacking in flavor.

We had a last minute catering order during a large dust storm. They were wonderful to work with and accommodated our struggles with the ordering system. They even adjusted the dessert on a gluten free order with fruit, even though we did not ask for that. They noticed the special request for bread and gave fruit for dessert so that individual could still have something. They worked in a relatively short period of time to put together boxed meals for over 20 people. The staff were all pleasant and very helpful during the process. We appreciated their patience and attentiveness to our order, even when they were busy with other customers.

Amazing is about the best word that comes to mind. This is the first time I have ever been to a McAlister's and I will definitely be back. The meat was moist, the bread was fresh and the taste was perfect. You totally have to try the fresh Spuds too! I love a potatoes! My son even said that this location is way better than the Amarillo location. Oh and the Assistant Manager has the best customer service I have seen in a fast food location. Thank you for a great dinner!!!

Lunch hour is always crazy busy and seating can be hard to find. The food is very affordable and the variety is really great. The tea is the absolute best and the staff are usually quick to get your order and your food out.

Went to get a bite during lunch. They were having some mechanical difficulties in the back which slowed things down some. However the manager walked around to each table to advise and assure. Good customer service. Good food. Will return

We always have good service when we go here. It's always nice and clean. Love the way they fixed up the seating because they were pretty worn out. The food was perfect and our order was correct. I love their tea flavors and I usually order one of their sandwiches and they don't disappoint. The little one enjoys the mac and cheese kids meal with a side of applesauce. Would reccomend.

Comfortable and quiet atmosphere. Decent place to talk. I ordered the French Dip with potato salad (classic standby), but I didn't receive any utensils and the sweet tea tasted a bit old. The service was good, very accommodating, and decently priced. Would recommend a visit!

I've been here twice which should tell you I like the food. Nice portion and quality meats. The flavored tea's are borderline addicting they're so good. I'd go more often but they are a bit pricey. Once a month could be how much I'll enjoy it.

Very, very good fare! The bread is fresh & flavorful and their home-brewed tea is worth the trip alone. They have good lunch deals with half portions so you can try more than just one entree. Great catering options too.

The food at this location is wonderful, but they are often slow at getting orders out. I typically order for pick up, at least 45 minutes in advance, and my food still usually isn't ready when I get there. However, I LOVE the food, so I will continue to come!

They are only getting 4 stars because their food is really good. A few friends and I went at lunch time and they where busy, which is to be expected, but my friends got their food and I waited for over an hour for mine. Which was only a potato. There where others who didn't get their food forever and there was a huge line for refunds. It wss the forest tone I've ever been inside the place but it will probably be tge last. To go orders are definitely a better thing than eating inside.

Tried the New Yorker sandwich. If your a pastrami lover, but hold the sour kraut then this is your sandwich. Not like pastrami NYC, but will do for West Texas. Checkout the two inches of meat in the pic. Usually, I include a pic of my wife's food. Not today, her beef and cheddar had less than one piece of meat. Not good. Momma is not happy.

The food was good, as expected from past experiences. The portions were small, and the prices are a poor value. $16 for a sandwich and a side of potato salad, that while good , was laughably miniscule. Also, being hit up for a tip when placing a to-go order is just wrong. Prices go up, I get it, but I wasn't ready for the downsizing of my meal, and I didn't like the "options" for a tip of a to-go order. Maybe it's just me, but tips should be at the customers discretion and considered after the service is provided. I'm really not trying to pick on them or be 'that guy'. It's disappointing when a go-to restaurant isn't consistent with past experiences.

Very friendly staff that greeted me upon entrance and was patient as I decided what to order. The Sweet Tea was perfect. Full body Tea perfectly sweetened. The Chicken Club was delicious but it was missing the bacon. The bread was warm and soft. Chicken was plentiful. The Mac and Cheese was hot, creamy and cheesy. The restaurant could have been slightly cleaner. Overall it was a great experience and I would come back.

We went their to taste their soup. It was delicious. I also liked their salad. We ate Chicken soup and avocado cheddar soup with grilled chicken salad. Their salespersons are professional, humble, and cooperative. The inside ambiance is also cool.

I’ve always loved McAlister’s. However, ordering to go or pick up food is always the worst. I go through the entire app to select my meal and every time I get to the end it has an unknown error. Then when I call to place the order over the phone they tell me to use the app. Back and forth forever. Deleted the app. Probably won’t be eating here again until the management or whatever needs to change, changes.

Usually good but roast was chewy and under cooked. And I ordered a French dip, my mom ordered a choose 2. Our sandwiches came out the same size and the manager on duty said oh well. The half sandwich looked like a full to her and left it at that.

There was no service for some time because the woman at the register was too interested in trying to clock out & could not acknowledge customers. After she figured out how to finish what she was doing, a seemingly unfriendly, curt male stepped in & asked for who was next like he really didn't want to deal with it. After we drudged through our order, we got the last 3 out of 5 straws left in the entire dining area. The food was fine. The woman who dropped off & picked up our plates was friendlier. The staff here needs some customer service training &/ some sort of moral boost or help finding their "why" or something. I was on this side of town, but I'll be sticking to the 82nd location from now on.

Not good. Ordered a take out soup and salad & waited 15 minutes. Everyone else was getting their food! After inquiring as to my order I received it within 2 minutes or so. I think it just got overlooked. Excellent food!

$8 for a 16oz bowl of soup seems excessive. The chicken noodle soup was very good. The portion seemed small.

Was really disappointed with this location at the time it was still about 45 mins to close I know it's cutting it close. However placed a $50 order which was a salad the club and a wrap. Thank goodness checked the bag forgot the sides on both orders. Was able to get it solved and taken care off. Just wish it would have been more smooth. Still great food a minor disruption.

All 3 stars go to the staff. They had a big catering event, so they were short-handed, we waited about 30 min for our order just to find out that there were 2 tickets with our order number so we got the wrong food. Our order never got made. We had to leave due to lunch hour being up. The Mgr refunded our money, no issues, and gave us a few cookies for free for the inconvenience. A few days later, I ordered something on the app for pick up, my order wasn't made right, and they forgot the extras I paid for. Very friendly staff, they probably just need a few more people to make it flow more cohesive.

It's was ok food was great only complaint was I ordered a 6 in the lady brings out my meal saying that they accidentally made me a 4 in and if I wanted a cookie which I really didn't want but I was wondering if I could just get my money back and pay for the correct size but then she remade another sandwich for me afterwards so it was good I just say people should be able to get what they pay for the excuse was they where new in the back

Great staff and friendly environment. For the most part my visits have been great. This one the food was not the quality that it was all the other times. One bad experience can affect someone from going back.

I went to this location to pickup an online order. The first thing I noticed were the hand/finger prints all over the front doors. It was just after 11am. Inside, the cash registers looked like they have never been dusted and the menus taped to the counter were yellowed and curling. The last time we ordered from this location we used GurbHub and they forgot an entire order. The food is decent but the service and cleanliness of the restaurant need some work.

Ordered the two, received our order after they brought our take out order which we had asked for it to be later. My salad was not made rite , sent it back, finished my soup and my friend finished both salad and soup. We had to ask for my salad and just got it to go. Not very good service. First time I've ever been disappointed with McAlister's.

The service is continuously getting worse. The counter people are rude and act like you are disturbing them. They get rid of their teas early instead of asking the customers we're shutting the teas down would you like a refill before we shut it down. If you ask for a to go container they act like it's putting them out. They don't welcome the customers they just stand and look at you. Treat your customers better, because if you don't you'll be closing your doors for lack of business.

Placed an online order and was missing my bread bowl and potato soup, missing lemon in all 4 teas, and no pickle as requested for our sandwiches. I called and informed them about my missing bread bowl and soup and was told it would be refunded to my card but it was not. We will never be going to this location again. The doordash delivery was the only positive experience.

Only so low because we didn't even get to eat. We normally love McAlister but we tried to stop by at 9 o'clock on our way out of town to get a quick snack because the hours listed online and on the door said they closed at 10. As we walked up to the door, the woman inside locked the door at 9 and wouldn't let us in. We ended up going next door. The lights were out and the employees were gone by 9:30. If your hours of operation have changed will you please update everything. Like I said, we normally love McAlister's and would definitely have spent our money there but someone else got our money instead.

Just ordered here for lunch, sorry to say the Grilled chicken club sandwich i ordered is dryer than the desert, lacked ingredients and packs NO flavor. And for the price my meal was, they should've left my sandwich a whole sandwich. My husband should have just went to subway. The prices are RIDICULOUS. I rated 2 stars for my broccoli cheddar soup that came with it and thats it.

The lady taking the orders double checked what I ordered, then I waited almost 40 minutes for my food when people who came in after me got theirs before me, then my food was wrong! The food is delicious but every time I come I order the same thing and I never end up with the sandwich I ordered!

I've honestly never liked this food or restaurant. I had to help the last cashier count change, but made sure I did so politely as we all start somewhere. They were polite and kitchen staff makes appealing dishes with what they have. McAlister's as a chain just has very subpar foods.

It was 6:30 in the evening and they were out of several items on the menu. Of 4 soups, they only had broccoli and not going to replenish any of them. They were our of their famous spuds and noy going to make any more. Staff was very indifferent to us and didn't seem to care we were there. Overall the worst experience I've had there. I had the crunchy jalapeno turkey sandwich which is always and that was the only thing that kept me from giving one star instead of two.

The restaurant was nearly empty with one girl at the counter and possibly 1 or 2 kitchen staff. Table seating was immediate but the wait on food was way too long. Potatoes were barely warm. It's unfortunate as these restaurants used to be great, and they are now a far cry from that. No trash cans in the restroom after hand washing. No offers for refills.

Short staffed. Had to wait 15 minutes for my mobile order that was sitting in the back of the store. When I got my food it wasn’t warm. But also the sandwich is really poorly made. Long story short, go to the ones on the south side of town.

I normally love McAllisters. However today I ordered a turkey sandwich for my girlfriend, I asked for no tomatoes, due to the fact that she is highly allergic to them. When she got the sandwich their where tomatoes on it. Also, I asked for no oil and vinaigrette on it and it was smothered in it. She was unable to eat it at all. I nor her will ever be going back their.

Myself and a coworker went here for lunch today at 12 it is 2:22 I am just now eating. Missed my lunch waiting for 45 mins as the front workers have no sense of urgency and the one guy with the ponytail runs around randomly asking ppl if they have to go orders when there is a whole line of people waiting. 4 women cut In front of me when he asked this , not asking did I have one. Which I did! There is no organization what so ever. People cutting in front just to get a refill is ridiculous. Very disappointed today.

Was better a year ago.New management? Went Saturday and the King Clubs should be called Poor man's club Hardly any meat in them raw bacon...called the manager and she was no help at all,didn't apologize and wasn't sympathetic at all. I’ve come here about three times and each time I came something always ends up wrong . The first time I came , I ordered a sandwich and then a desert but they almost didn’t give me my desert , I had to tell them that I had ordered one . The second time I came , I ordered a half sandwhich and half salad , only this time I did not get dressing for my salad . Today , I ordered a Spud Max , and a cheesecake , which I payed more to get strawberry topping on it . What happened was that the baked potato did not have all the toppings they were supposed to have : the bacon , sour cream , green onions etc .. Also my cheesecake did not come with the strawberry topping . I really wanted to like this place but I cannot deal with the continuous screw ups .

If I could leave zero stars I would. The food was so bad. We got a pick two which was the potato soup, four cheese sandwich, spud max and chicken and dumpling soup. Everything was so bland and luke warm at best. Very disappointed with this location.

I hadn't returned to McAlister's in months b/c I was given gross, watered down cheese soup (carry out) my last visit. My co-worker ordered carry out today so I thought I'd give them another try. I paid for a spud ole with extra chili. I received a very dry, with little chili potato. I give up!! I can live without them, especially given their prices. I expect to get what I pay for : (

Made us wait over an hour for our food, told us we were next, then proceeded to give several others their food before us. Got a refund and won't be returning. Two years later, stupidly decided to come back. Same exact experience. This place straight up sucks. Don't come here.

If you're in a rush, do not come to this location. The lack of urgency was ridiculous and the unfriendly, slow staff was a major turnoff. The food was less than average when compared to other locations, and I wasn't surprised when they got my order wrong. You're better off going pretty much anywhere else for lunch.

We went in around 4:30 so we were the only ones there. Staff did not say a word to us as we stood in front of the counter for 10 minutes while they tried to figure out the registers. The manager finally said something and when the cashier took our order she was extremely rude. Granted we came in while it was slow, but they still have a job to do. Mcalisters employees are usually friendly but this was the opposite.

Ordered $20 dollars worth of food, but instead I practically got back $5 worth in return. Food is poorly made here and unless you’re “basic” and love their tea. You should find some where else to spend your money wisely. Try the slim chickens next door, you’ll get your pennies worth. I feel better now, doing justice in our society.

Really sad how far this place has fallen… take out orders are never right, portions are getting smaller and smaller, no one here seems to care about their job whatsoever. They subbed several items in my order without asking, then acted offended when I asked for what I actually ordered. This used to be a regular eat for me and the fam but now we’re searching for something better.

The lady taking orders was also doing like 5 other jobs. They need to hire more staff. The line was out the door because she would take an order and then go do several more tasks. We ended up leaving after waiting so long and not even getting to place an order.

Calling an order in for pick up is horrible! They have switched over to a call center to take their orders for them. They incorrectly told me they didn’t carry sun chips even after I insisted that they did. They do still have them, so I had to switch them out at the store. The call center woman was very hard to understand, and I kept having to repeat my self to her! The last time I tried calling in the order the call center didn’t even send my order in, so I had to order there and wait twice as long!! So, if I am going to call in an order to someone who is ordering online for me , then I’m going to cut out the middle man and order it online myself so it will be right and be done in half the time!!! Terrible experience! McAlisters is getting worse and worse!

Ordered online, arrived at store and waited 30 minutes for food to be made. Customers were coming in standing in line for more than 10 minutes several had left. Only one worker servicing the front just seen one cook in back and a manager working. Worst service since I've been going to this store. Other customers that were waiting were offered free cookies but I was never offered.

My boyfriend ordered food from this location and had to wait in line for a very long time. Which isn’t that much of a problem but after waiting so long we had very cold food and it wasn’t cooked right. We didn’t get everything we asked for and the place was very very dirty and smelt of cigarette smoke. Definitely will not be coming back here. We love McAllisters but this was just horrible and gross!!

Ordered a chose two. Waited about 30 minutes as I watched others behind me get my food. No one helped as I waited patiently. The line is so long and service to order so slow. I gave up at the 45 min mark and handed my number and receipt to check out lady who saw me the whole time waiting. I told her to keep the order, if it was even made and that they made $16 off of me today as I cannot wait in a line for another 30 min to get money back. Don’t waste your time coming here

I can’t say anytime in the past 5 years that I have been to this location that I have felt welcomed, served with a smile, or felt like the employees wanted me there. Just walked in to get a sweet tea, waited for someone to acknowledge me, and saw two employees in the back standing against the wall on their phone. No “hello, be with you in a second!” Or “it’s going to be a little bit but we will be right with you”. Just straight up ignored. Left without my sweet tea and going to chick fil a.

Went in for lunch, wasn't really busy. Tables weren't bussed, I had to sit at a dirty table with a pile of dirty dishes. After standing in line for almost 15 minutes, I finally ordered. (There were only 3 people in front of me) 27 minutes later my food was brought to my table actually cold to the touch. If you want to eat McAlister's Deli, I'd suggest the one on Milwaukee, much better experience...its clean, fast and efficient.

This locations has just gone to hell. They never get your order correct so you better check every. They have become very disorganized and rude. I ha e not had a good experience in the last 4 times visiting this sight. As an example. Today my girlfriend placed an online order. She went though the drive through to get it. And after waiting 45 minutes for the full salad sha had ordered for her And the potato for me. We did not get the potato at all. She ended up with a half salad that was slimy and had the wrong dressing. This is the last straw for us. I hope that this helps the next person thinking about testing this location.

I don't know what's happened to the place over the last 3 months but it has gone downhill quickly. I ordered a club and it was a sandwich with stale bread cut in 2 parts like a kindergardner's lunch, just thrown in the box. NOTHING like pictured or what I ordered just a few weeks ago. No one ever answers the drive through even after ringing the window bell. Parking lot was empty and I sat for over 10 minutes waiting for someone to come to the window- only after I called and said I was out there waiting (someone finally answered after calling 3 times)

I had to ask for my food because it had been over 30 minutes and people who came in after me were getting their food. They let me know my order was made wrong. This is not the place to go if you only have an hour lunch break. Lunch break with no lunch. Although the gentleman that helped me locate our order was nice.

We ordered from McAlister’s expecting a quality product, as before. We got literally a trash delivery via DoorDash that didn’t contain all of our food. The worst part is that McAllister’s itself didn’t even prepare the food we did get in any way that holds up to normal standards. Look at this charred potato with chili🙄(it shouldn’t be that dark, FYI, and the picture doesn’t even do it justice). Generally these establishments can turn out great food. I guess it is what it is in these times. Just a big let down😔 Legitimately the spud smells like burnt coffee and regret from ordering.

This place is always slow because of the construction yet it still takes three business days to place your order and get your food. Ive even gone in just for a glass of tea and it took 20 minutes.

I asked about mine after 20 minutes and they said it’s been ready. They then handed me just a side salad. I told them there was no sandwich and waited another few minutes for that to come out. I didn’t have time to check my order, as I was now running late to work due to long wait times, but when I got to work, my sandwich was missing several items that I paid extra for. Go literally anywhere else.

The hours of operation are clearly posted on the door. We showed up at 9:20 on a Friday and it was supposed to be open for dining room service till 10. We were able to order but had to get our food to go. All the chairs were on the tables. Watched a cook in the back barehand eat something while preparing orders. Kinda funky. And the food took forever to get. Salad was horrible.

Whats going on with the restaurant they cancel my order (lunch) cause of no chicken no dressing the girl taking orders is almost laying on top of the counter with no breath service is so slow!!!! As a manager go run to the store and grab some damn Craser Dressing !!! No wonder every time I pass thru there this place is empty. Sad cause I love there food, there service just sucks now!!!!

Walked in for a 1-item Togo order. After a 10 minute wait to have someone take my order… Spud max please. “It’ll be a 10 minute wait” … exactly 18:17 later (the digital order board clocks the prep time), my order disappears from the screen and it’s another 5 minutes before I walk out with my order. I will NEVER return to this location. What a sad sad sad decline in this location.

This place has definitely gone downhill. The last time I got a chicken sandwich, they put all scrap pieces and fat pieces. Today I ordered a king club, they forgot my pickle, the sandwich meat wasn't the same and the description said sharp cheddar but they put american plastic cheese.

I ordered two nacho baskets. The nachos were filled with way too many tomatoes. I was exhausted and starving so I tried to make the best of it, but the more I ate, I realized there were large black chunks of what I assumed was burnt cheese. I tried the next nacho basket and realized it was the same way. It was so disgusting that I couldn’t eat it. $25 down the drain!!

I have come here 6 times in the past 3 weeks to pick up Uber and Dash orders. Everytime I have to wait over 15-20mins. Never more than two employees, they need to staff up as the service is ridiculously slow.

This place has gone so far downhill. Always just 1 older person working the counter, most of the time spent in the back looking out at the line. They never come out and check on you once you've ordered. Is business really that slow that you only keep 1-3 employees through the major lunch/dinner rushes? The location on Milwaukee and Quaker are miles ahead of this one.

One of my top 5 places to eat but I had to take a break from it every time I ordered pickup I’d have to circle back around to ask for something that was forgotten from my order. Here I am 2 months later giving it another chance should have stayed home and ate couch crumbs. Half my order was forgotten kids pizza was cold. When I asked for the things that were forgotten they were made wrong. So long McCallisters I won’t be back!

Worst McAlister’s I’ve ever visited. I think this the second 1-Star I’ve given ever. Walked right up to the counter ordered and waited over 45 minutes when the restaurant was nearly empty for sandwich and a spud. Direct reflection of management. Whoever opened this franchise in Lubbock should close the doors. Your GM is running it into the ground. Ten tables sitting completely dirty, unbussed. Save your money and go somewhere else. This is also the only McAlister’s I’ve ever been to. that didn’t offer a military discount. Not sure who was working.

I put my order in online as I only have a limited amount of time. I spent so much time waiting on my food I didn’t even get a chance to eat. They left the counter lady by herself and would not help her. The lobby was not full. It wasn’t until people were getting visibly upset that the shift manager actually helped. There were people waiting for longer than the 30 minutes I waited. The atmosphere was not welcoming either. I’ve been to this location several times and it’s progressively gotten worse. Today was the absolute worst of the experiences I’ve had.
