Fonte do Rei Lugo Reviews
-Chorizo do pais (4€).
Recomendado 100%
My waiter and I went, and we were delighted. It was close to the apartment we rented for the Candeloria Pista Extra 2 festival. The staff was very friendly, everything was delicious, and even though it was busy, the food arrived very quickly. We had octopus, a simple salad, a mixed grill for two, and for dessert, a pastry and tiramisu. Everything was plentiful. Thank you so much for everything.
We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. We were staying in the center of Lugo, and a takeaway worker told us that if we wanted a "cool" place, we should go there. We were lucky to call and make a reservation. There were four of us, and it was packed. The food was very decent, the price reasonable, and the service very attentive—that's what I can say about this restaurant. Plus, they gave us complimentary ice cream chocolates, which is always a nice touch. I would go back if I were in Lugo again.
A 10-star octopus restaurant. If you're looking for a place in Lugo for lunch or dinner, this is it. Located outside the city walls, we find this place where you can enjoy hearty meals, quality products, and reasonable prices. The churrasco and octopus and seafood casserole are delicious. The waiters are very friendly and professional. Marcelo's excellent service is a must.
I went to this restaurant twice with my friends. I stayed in Lugo just two days and I already know I’ll come back again for their dishes. The food was great, the quantities abundant, and the service exceptional. Huge thanks to Marcelo, our favourite waiter who was professional, kind and lovely.
I've been cycling across northern Spain for two weeks, and the dinner my wife and I had here was the best of the trip. We shared a salad (real dressing!). I had entrecote beef with pepper sauce, and she had roasted hake: both cooked perfectly. Each came with rustic fried potatoes. For dessert we had flan with cream; the cream was whipped to a firm delicious consistency and the flan had a dense caramel. A pair of cyclists sat next to us, and we swapped tastes. They had family-style plates of pulpo, razor clams, and scallops, all excellent. The atmosphere was of a neighborhood restaurant; there was an eight person card game going on when we entered and it continued as we left. We ordered at 8:00, when they opened. At 9:00, local families started coming in with the kids.
Fantastic authentic dinner for local Galicians and lucky visitors like me (they have an English menu). An absolutely delicious meal, fresh & locally sourced ingredients and all beautifully prepared. Marcello was the best server and couldn’t have been more lovely. Oh and do leave some space for dessert - the baked cheesecake was incredible with a crème caramel texture. Unforgettable.
A very popular family run restaurant serving local dishes at a very high standard. We were seated and served quickly, despite the long queue of larger groups. I would recommend arriving a little earlier if you're larger than a group of 4. We tried the sharing plate of grilled meats, plenty for 3 people, and it was so fresh! A restaurant worth visiting if you're around the area.
Super
Now that was something. The place doesn’t look fancy, extremely busy but the food was beyond great, we randomly choose it while visiting Lugo and we were very pleasantly surprised, might try to go there again just because it was really awesome, and next time I want to order the massive chop my partner had
Love
Food was very good and well priced. Be careful as some portions can be quite large, luckily the staff helped us to avoid over ordering. We had some pulpo, pimientos de padron and calamares as a starter. Then we shared a very large cachopo (1 is plenty for 2 if you take some starters) of which I unfortunately did not take a photo.
Very good food, Galician dishes, good price for value, good selection of wine and beers, tapas here are a must try, Padron peppers really well cooked, if you visit Lugo, here is a must go Bar/Restaurant
The food quality left much to be desired. Very expensive for what it was. The appetizers were a decent size, but they weren't Iberian ham, and they were charged that much. The steak wasn't bad, but it was oily, and the monkfish was quite disappointing—poor quality; even the sauce had no flavor. I expected much better quality for what we paid. I've attached the receipt and photos. We won't be back.
Expensive for the food quality 😕
Regular
HORROR!
Food was good Service ok Bill was wrong One menu card in English for order with cheap price One menu card in spanish with expensive price We has not order bead but have to pay it Over 7.40 Euro more at has order by one people Very bad handling Never come back again !!
Aside from the rude waitresses. Each seemed to want to top the other in bitchiness. Food was cool, topped with plenty of free grease with every bite. Why would you want to stop here?
