I've been passing this bar for years and I've always meant to go in and today I decided to have lunch there. I had an Angus burger, magnificent!! Big and well stuffed with bacon, cheese, tomato and sauces (I'd better not eat this evening!) And a delicious shortcrust pastry and hazelnut cream cake. Very clean place, the employee in charge cleaned the windows impeccably!! It doesn't seem like it, but we customers look at certain details. Very kind sales assistant and owner, I will go again with my daughter who loves burgers (even if there are many other things to eat, even fixed menus with a diner).🙂

I enter the place for the first time, order two coffees and two croissants, and I hear (from the owner, I presume) French or Italian, referring to the brioches... I tell him German, since I live in Germany... the nice guy ironically replies Kartoffel, I reply "Yes," but not satisfied, he continues his little act... how do you say jam in German? I reply "Marmelade." At that point, in front of other customers, I tell him that I no longer intend to take anything, and as I leave, I loudly tell him that I have two ice cream shops in Germany and I don't welcome my customers that way. Obviously, he wanted to be funny, which is the right thing to do with regular customers, but not with people you don't know and who are coming in for the first time. Anyone would feel ridiculed and taken for a ride...
