L'Fujot Luserna San Giovanni Reviews
Small place with just a few tables, good food and a great welcome, at a fair price!
I only had coffee, which was good. It's not very noticeable from the outside and looks like just a restaurant, but it's also a bar.
Today I ordered two portions of ravioli alla carbonara to go. Perfect punctuality, generous portions, and the ravioli were stunning both in appearance and taste: the filling was generous, and the fondue sauce was delicious. I also really like the informal yet refined atmosphere, and Stefania and Michel are two young, but very knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming people.
I had lunch here with family. The food was home-cooked, excellent, and beautifully presented. The owners were friendly and available to answer any questions. Highly recommended!
We've been to Fujot many times and it's never disappointed. In fact, Michel and Stefania amaze us every time: Japanese dinner, musical aperitifs, weekday dinners... something for everyone! Refined and carefully prepared dishes, not only in taste but also in appearance. We'll be back many more, especially considering the affordable price.
A lovely, quaint little restaurant in a gem of a neighborhood in Luserna. It feels like you're not even in Italy, but in a Provençal village. Excellent food, a menu that changes monthly, offering three appetizers, three first courses, and three second courses, catering to both vegetarians and omnivores. The young owners bring innovative ideas and excellent execution to the dishes. Excellent wine selection from small producers. Excellent!
We arrived by chance on a Wednesday evening. We were pleasantly surprised by the balance of flavors, with dishes that were both visually and palatably pleasing. The menu is simple: 3 appetizers, 3 first courses, 3 second courses, and 3 desserts, but all very carefully prepared. Prices are reasonable for the high-quality ingredients. The wine list is short but adequate. I'm not sure what to recommend, as everything was excellent: a special mention for the bagna cauda risotto with citrus fruits and the tagliolini al tagliolini with culatello sauce. The spicy stew with a balanced clove flavor was also excellent. We will definitely be back, and congratulations once again to the chef, who, despite his young age, demonstrates a passion for the most beautiful profession in the world and a great deal of imagination. His sister in the dining room is also excellent.
Italien friends recommended Fujot to us and we were delighted with everything. We had 4 delikate courses at an affordable price. The location is lovely - at a small square in a secret (at least to us foreigners) part of town. We Will certainly come back !
The restaurant is located in a stunning little square, perhaps the most beautiful and evocative spot in all of Luserna, especially San Giovanni. Weather permitting, I recommend eating outside! The place is charming, the food good, though the selection is limited. The prices aren't typical of a working-class trattoria, even though the place is rustic...but it can be done. The real sore point is the service: contrary to what I've read in other reviews, the lady serving us wasn't at all courteous—she had a very haughty and arrogant air, seemed annoyed that we asked her to repeat the dishes, and even rolled her eyes when we dared to move a chair. It's crazy, a real shame, and above all strange, because even in the valleys in general, the idea that you have to be kind to your customers, even if they're not regulars, has finally caught on! I'd go back sometime because the place is beautiful, and the food is indeed high-quality, but the attitude was truly disappointing and disconcerting.
