Don Julio's Authentic Mexican Cuisine

🌮✨ What an absolute gem! ✨🌮 We just ate here and everything was incredible — truly some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in ages! It felt like I was eating upper-end Mexican, the kind you find in Texas… full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself is so cute and full of charm, and the owners couldn’t have been friendlier! SO yummy! 😋 We’ll definitely be back. Highly, highly recommend! 💛

Food was good. Atmosphere lively, and waitress was attentive. Shrimp tacos was tasty and juicy. Breakfast burritos was packed with lots of flavor and the Mexican Flan dessert was smooth and delightful, very authentic.

Food was okay, I got tacos de birria & grilled chicken tacos. Chips and salsa tasted like they were stale. Waiter was nice and attentive. Agua de Jamaica was delicious

The food , so far, has been good, but I am a very picky eater. I bought something that it turned out I did not like, and won't try again. It was called "sope" . But maybe, other people like it, I don't know. I will stick with things like vege tacos, cheese enchiladas, and tostadas. I haven't tried everything. But, their sauces seem very fresh, and I like the Vege tacos especially. Keep up the good work, Don Julio's.

Great atmosphere. The margaritas, burritos, chimichangas, and flan were good. The service was a little slower than the last few times we’ve been. There was a live singer who was entertaining.

Food was hot and prepared quickly. Small dining room about 8 tables. Server was ok, wasn't as attentive as I expect a server to be. They don't have a lunch menu/specials.$8 kids menu includes a drink.

Definitely had a fun time drinking and chopping it up at this spot! Atmosphere has great potential and my server was the bomb. Gotta admit, the food was sub-par 😒 Got the Carne Asada, which was overcooked, the Pescado, which my brother noted tasted like tilapia, and the Camarón, which is shrimp and was the best taco served that night. Very juicy 🍤 and they definitely weren't stingy w the portions! The spicy sauce was a nice addition and added some much needed flavor. You have the choice of corn or flour tortillas; I chose the flour, but felt it was overcooked and too crispy. The house salsa they provided w the table was nice and chunky, which I like, but once again, lack of taste and seasoning was the downfall of this bite.

Food tasted very bland. You charge way too much for too little food that tastes like no salt, pepper, or any seasoning was added. The empanadas were fine. Avoid the rice, refried beans, and carne asada.

This by far after many decated of travel has been the absolute worst experience ever. From the moment I sat with my family through the end was terrible. First we are a party of four. We were sat at a high top by the door. No a bad thing. We waited about 10 minutes for our server( the only male in the place) to take a beverage order. They were delivered one by one by a runner….maybe. Just another person. Then another 10 minutes go by and then we get our complementary chips and salsa. Enough for one person. Keep in mind that a refill of chips is $5.99. We eat them, no beverage check for a refill, just a fly by to ask if we want more chips. Just a side note. There were only 3 parties in the restaurant and he had one of those that was finishing up. Plenty of time to work for a good tip. Another 15 minutes goes by, still parched and hungry. He takes the order and leaves, still parched. Our food comes out one by one. Simple menu items, nothing crazy. We end the meal. Skimpy at best. Finally a refill, after we were done eating. Still being parched. We order one desert, he drops it and leaves. We finish it and just watch him clear the other table he had….but wait, there is a busser to do that. We wait about 45 minutes and had to go and ask for the bill to pay from someone else. All we want to do now is leave. Not just be watched like a parrot in a cage. As I was given the bill for the full amount, not an apology or anything. I am not looking for free goods, just simple recognition that we were treated unfairly. By now we had been the re for almost 3 hours for a simple entree. By this time, the restaurant is completely empty and just simply ignored. I would not recommend going there to anyone unless they really want to be left alone. Apparently the waiter is independently wealthy and doesn’t believe in customer service. Good luck to whoever goes there in the future.

Don julio has changed and not for the better. The queso fundido was pretty much a lukewarm melted cheese cream that was not good. The frozen mango margarita were pretty slushie and the quesadillas were super bland with no flavor. Overall they most definitely changed chefs and it shows. Unfortunately we wont be coming back

My son decided to treat myself and his aunt to taco Tuesday 2 weeks ago at this location. We arrived 7:15. We were seated right away that’s the only thing that was speedy. We sat there for 20 mins before a waitress arrived to take our drink and appetizer order. They were not busy at all. Appetizers arrived lukewarm 40 mins later. Chicken Chimichanga was dry and lukewarm, sister’s chicken tacos dry and cold like they forgot our food now they close at 9 we arrived at 7:15 we received our food at 8:30!!!! Whole experience was trash !!! Don’t understand the hype especially since they were not busy . I did enjoy my beer flight
