This is the best sushi and sashimi spot on Long Island. This place is clean, the fish is fresh and every item we tried on the menu was delicious. We went in low expectations given sushi is better in manhattan but I feel we've found a gem locally. They had a stir friend udon noodle chicken dish which the kids devoured. I was skeptical but the udon noodles had the perfect shiitake mushrooms flavor and really were delicious. We ordered yellowtail jalepeno, another white tuna truffle, rock shrimp,edamame, gyoza, 355 roll, mikado inspiration sashimi and the chicken udon noodles. The host was sweet and helped in recommending items for our kids. The place is kid friendly. Highly recommended this place.

Update 11/14/025: The one thing to make Mikado better was to make it bigger and apparently they did that. Sat at the sushi bar for the first time since the pandemic and enjoyed the precision knife work of the chefs from up close. Everything is still great here and Emily is the mayor of sushi in Lynbrook. Fresh, flavorful and fantastic sushi rolls. First time here and I indulged in their signature Mikado Roll, Naruto & the Black Dragon. Had some Ikura on the side to add a bit of saltiness to the sweet mango sauce. Love sitting at the sushi bar to see the knife work and presentation unfolding in front of me. The chefs were very congenial, offered a nice appetizer of tuna on the house, and basically made the whole experience worth it. Will be back as this is next to my new favorite movie theater. #LocalGem #GoodEats #SushiHeaven #theresthatFoodie Updated 5/18/2021: 1st time I was here a lil' over a year ago, Covid had not hit us... been waiting to come back ever since. Just ordered what I had last time minus the Naruto roll. The aroma is amazing right now. Not sure what another table ordered but I think that's what I'm having next time. Me and my son have been coming here for years for the lunch specials. The prices got pretty steep over time which I could understand in this economy now but they never compromise the quality of freshness here which always keeps me coming back. Great service and always recognized and welcomed. They’ve pretty much watched my son grow up and we always are excited to have our sushi date here no matter what time of year. Always great

I ordered to-go from here recently and just had to share how amazing the customer service was—it truly went above and beyond. My husband actually placed the order for me while I was on my way into town, and when I picked it up, I was surprised there was an amount due since we usually prepay when ordering for each other. I figured he was just distracted or busy, so I paid and left without thinking much of it. To my surprise, they called me afterward to let me know they had accidentally double charged me! The woman I spoke with was so kind and let me know to call back when I had a chance so they could fix it, since I mentioned I was driving. I really appreciated the honesty and care they showed. And on top of that; The food was absolutely chef’s kiss—so delicious. I will 100% be making this a regular stop whenever I’m coming in or out of town. Highly recommend!
