Di Ciccos Madera Reviews
Love this place great food every time. We always ask for Rita i believe is her name, little lady with her hair in a clip. She is fabulous! Love her.
Family owned restaurant where I've been eating for about 45 years. Quaint and cozy. Cheery staff. Quality Italian food. Can use less salt but absolutely delicious. Calzone and lasagna are perfect. Just what you're craving and looking for. Definitely stop here when in Madera.
Found this restaurant while on the way to Sequoia National Park, Very good food and attentive waiter. The chef came in person to talk about my cooking preference and was able to accommodate my cooking preference (below rare) and I love it. Steak was tender and juicy. Definitely will be coming back when I get the chance
Great food. They make their own french bread (which they bring to you with real butter, free of charge). Casual atmosphere, but very loud when there's a lot of patrons.
Came in later during the day after a long day of work. Was feeling a little low on energy and a bit off. The staff was being extra friendly with huge smiles. The staff that wasn’t busy was cleaning and talking, laughing and just enjoying themselves. I absolutely enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was also great. Thank you Rita you made it an amazing experience. Why go out of town when you can enjoy such a great local business.
The food was GREAT! We used door dash so I can’t review the atmosphere but the food……. We had the Scarface and some garlic bread and it was so tasty! Highly recommend if you’re looking for good Italian food!
Traveling up north. Even though we came in 30 min before closing 2 adults and 2 kids under 2, the visit was awesome. We had great service and the food delicious even for a picky toddler. We didnt feel rushed at all. Kudos to the staff for the friendly service and patience. I wish I lived nerby this place i would come more often.
Consistently yummy comfort food. I always order some take out minestrone soup when sick, always makes me feel better. The servings are big, my 4 yr old and I share the spaghetti and it's plenty of food for us two. Been eating here for 20+ years and always leave satisfied.
Overall good pizza just not a fan of how the pizza looks I miss how Diciccos never messed up on the cheeses on the dough but frequently the cheese comes off the dough easily and ruins the pizza. Diciccos please go back to the good old days I know the cooking staff was in a hurry but for the price need a better pizza.
Nice environment, has an Italian touch, but should I remind you that Dicicco's is Americanized food. I ordered a Clam Chowder and it was pretty good. Thank you for that, could of been a bit more creamier. Lasagna was the main dish and it was very good, bread was soft and warm, Thank you. I've read most of thee reviews and to bad for the customers who had a bad experience, cause being my first time here, it was 4 stars, yes I do recommend this Restaurant.
Good food, good service, large portions, fair price. Not much more one can ask for
First time dinning at this location…and did not disappoint.. great food, even better staff.. won’t go wrong having lunch, dinner, or family events.. restaurants is not small and can accommodate large crowds.. highly recommend
The Calzoni was very good and it appeared to be deep fried. The sauce was on the outside which I had never had a Calzone like that before bit turned out great. The reason I give it a 3 stars is because my coworker got the small pizza and the dough was not fresh. The bread at the table was not done and a little doughy. I would love to try the dinner selection maybe it's better.
We are a 10 min drive from our Diciccos in Madera. We have a family member who is terminally ill, and all they were craving was their Lasagna and some of their warm bread. When I made the order, I specifically asked for some bread. She said, ok, you'll have 4 slices in your bag. Then she said it would take about an hour. An hour and 15 min later I call up and ask if our driver was lost, or needed help finding our place. She then said, oh, someone should have told you it would take an hour and a half. Then she said, the driver just left. When the driver shows up, he hands us the food and then said, oh by the way, they ran out of bread. Im like, so we waited for over an hour and a half and then told at the door that "they ran out of bread" when I was told over the phone I would have 4 slices and then our food was already luke warm. We all had to heat up our dishes. And our ill family member fell asleep and wasn't able to eat the lasagna. I really do feel they forgot about our order and didnt send anyone until I had called. Im very disappointed in their service lately. This is actually the second time this has happened. Im now posting because this is very unprofessional.
This is for my online order. Ordered small pepperoni pizza, spaghetti with mushrooms, and garlic cheese bread. Been there twice before and the food and service was great. But last nights food and service was awful 😖. First, my pizza wasn't even made when I went to pick up my order. Had to wait for them to make it. Got home and ate some of the spaghetti and the sauce was very very salty! If the sauce is homemade, the cook messed up the measurements for sure! 🤮 Really turns me off from ever going back.
Very disappointed we ordered Scarface pasta they gave us bread with mold. The pasta had no flavor the sauce is basically water very disappointing wasn't worth the $80 we spent
Wow my food was horrible soggy over cooked pasta the veggies were cut really large I had the recut everything. Over priced for what I got.
This has got to be the worst Diciccos of the chain. The red sauce tastes of what I would imagine expired Chef Boyardee tastes like. The drinks were flat the salads were decent, the bread was okay. Best thing about this location was the service. Will definitely not ever return to this location.
My order was delivery, time of the wait was just fine in my opinion as it does take time to do things. But the prices of their food is outrageous. I ended up paying almost 80 dollars for just 3 people, no appetizers of desserts, and no real extra to the 3 entrees. I used to like this place as I've been ordering here frequently for years. But their food isn't good enough for these prices when stuff from Domino's often tastes better now days.
I recently visited Diccio’s in Madera and, unfortunately, had one of the worst service experiences I’ve encountered at a restaurant. Our waitress was not only inattentive but seemed to deliberately avoid our table. Despite arriving before several other parties, we were served last, and every interaction we had with her was curt and unfriendly. At first, I gave her the benefit of the doubt, assuming she was overwhelmed, but it became evident that her attitude was selectively directed at us. Communication was nonexistent—if the restaurant was busy or backed up, a simple acknowledgment would have gone a long way. Instead, we were met with rudeness and indifference. Great food can only go so far when the service is this poor. I hope the management takes steps to address this issue because no paying customer should be made to feel unwelcome.
