Astor es, sin duda, uno de esos restaurantes que sorprenden por la coherencia entre cocina, ambiente y servicio. Desde el primer momento se percibe un espacio acogedor, cálido y muy bien logrado, donde cada detalle está pensado para que la experiencia sea cómoda y agradable. Uno de los grandes protagonistas es su pan de masa madre, extraordinario: corteza perfecta, interior aireado y profundo sabor, de esos panes que por sí solos ya elevan la experiencia gastronómica. Como entrada, el tartar de salmón fue simplemente exquisito. Frescura impecable, equilibrio perfecto entre grasa, acidez y textura, y una ejecución fina que demuestra respeto por el producto. Un plato elegante y muy bien construido. El risotto merece una mención especial: cremosidad exacta, punto de cocción impecable y un sabor profundo y envolvente. Un plato que refleja técnica, precisión y sensibilidad culinaria. Realmente memorable. El ambiente del restaurante es íntimo y muy agradable, ideal tanto para una cena tranquila como para disfrutar sin prisa. Pero si algo elevó la experiencia por encima de lo gastronómico fue el servicio. La atención fue, sin exagerar, la mejor que hemos recibido en Madrid. Gracias a Raquel y a todo el equipo por su cercanía, profesionalismo y cuidado genuino por el cliente. Se nota un staff comprometido con la experiencia completa. Astor logra algo difícil: cocina bien ejecutada, producto cuidado, ambiente acogedor y un servicio sobresaliente. Un lugar al que se quiere volver. Altamente recomendado.

Y qué decir de la atención… el trato de los camareros es simplemente exquisito 👏😊, atentos y cercanos en todo momento. 🥗 De Entrante • 🐟 Ceviche de cazón: un plato lleno de contrastes, fresco y maravilloso. • 🍲 Albóndigas con una salsa tremendamente buena en la que mojamos hasta acabar la salsa, un pan que hacen ellos mismos que está maravilloso. • 🥟 Empanadas argentinas de espinaca, queso y bechamel… ¡súper jugosas y sabrosas! 🥩 Plato principal: El bife de chorizo (lomo alto) estaba riquísimo 🤤🔥, en su punto perfecto, acompañado de patatas caseras. 🍸 Aunque no pudimos llegar al postre, nos sorprendieron con un licor preparado por ellos mismos… ¡delicioso y todo un detalle de la casa! Muy buena experiencia! Sin duda, repetiremos! 🤗 Pedimos todo para compartir: provoleta (pide pan para tomarla!! hacen su propio pan y está riquísimo), albóndigas (son de ternera y saben a ternera de verdad) y risotto (textura super agradable) y de postre tarta de queso (no era una locura, pero estaba muy buena). El personal muy atento, super amable, nos hicieron recomendaciones y nos fueron preguntando a cada plato si todo estaba bien. Para finalizar, nos invitaron a un mini cóctel (cortesía de la casa) y nos sorprendió bastante el sabor!! El local es super chulo, aspecto muy limpio y el ambiente era muy tranquilo y no había ruido. Aprox gastamos 50-60€ para 2 personas. Totalmente recomendable!! ;)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Astor Gastro-place ha sido una experiencia espectacular de principio a fin. La comida es excelente, cuidada al detalle y con sabores increíbles. La atención del personal es de 10: amables, atentos y muy profesionales. Quiero destacar especialmente el cuidado con las alergias, algo que hoy en día marca la diferencia. Se tomaron el tiempo de explicar cada plato y asegurarse de que todo fuera totalmente seguro, lo que da muchísima tranquilidad. En especial, gracias a Raquel y a su esposo por su empatia , dedicación y por hacernos sentir tan bien atendidos. Sin duda, un restaurante al que recomiendo al 100%.

Fuimos cuatro amigos de comida de navidad y la experiencia ha sido inmejorable. Toda la comida estaba espectacular ( Croquetas de bacalao, hamburguesa de buey, ojo de bife,pasta artesanal) Nos sorprendió el trato tan personal y cercano de todos los trabajadores , son encantadores. Astro Puerta Cerrada es un sitio muy especial. Ambiente tranquilo, cuidado y con una propuesta diferente que se disfruta desde el primer momento. Salva es un crack, se nota que le pone cariño y sabe perfectamente lo que hace. Andrea súper atenta, pendiente de todo y haciendo que te sientas cómodo en todo momento. Un lugar para ir sin prisas, disfrutar de la experiencia y repetir seguro. Muy recomendable.

Si bien la comida no es abundante, está perfectamente elaborada y muy sabrosa. El ambiente es muy relajado y siempre atento a que tuviéramos la copa llena, cómodos y si estábamos a gusto. Atendido por sus dueños que son muy cálidos y saben dar un buen servicio a sus comensales. Sin duda repetiré con mi pareja o amigos.

La comida es excelente: creativa, llena de sabor y elaborada con ingredientes de gran calidad. Cada plato está pensado con equilibrio y cariño, lo que convierte la experiencia gastronómica en algo realmente especial. Pero lo que de verdad distingue a Ástor es su personal. Todo el equipo es amable y atento, creando un ambiente acogedor desde que entras. Quiero destacar especialmente a Raquel, cuya calidez marca la diferencia. Se toma el tiempo de explicar el menú con detalle, ofrece recomendaciones acertadas y se asegura de que cada persona se sienta bienvenida y feliz. Su dedicación y profesionalidad son difíciles de encontrar y se agradecen muchísimo. Ástor Gastro-Place es un lugar al que volveré encantada — por la comida, el ambiente y, sobre todo, por las personas que lo hacen tan especial.
Una muy buena atención. Cenamos dos bife chorizo y un risotto con una botella de vino y postre. La cuenta salió como 115. El vino muy bueno, el risotto exquisito, la carne al punto perfecto. Un brownie para compartir fue la dosis perfecta para terminar, cuando llegan con un amareto sour de parte de la casa. Lo recomiendo 100%. No es un lugar para ir todas las semanas por el precio, pero esta muy bien.

Solo diner this evening — the Galician scallops moved me to tears. I’ve never had anything that delicate, bright, sweet, and creamy with a char all at once. My server was incredibly hospitable and offered me a mini reading light so I could enjoy my book. I thought this was particularly generous given how busy they were and how they likely had other parties coming in. Will have to return to Madrid specifically for this spot :)
Awesome eclectic interesting delicious fusion cuisine. Super nice helpful staff, very eclectic interesting too. Somehow Google tagged it as Mexican cuisine, which is awesome too, but this place is definitely fantastic fusion.
I have lived in Madrid for well over 15 years and one of the best meals I have had here. My cousin was in town visiting me and she was just totally blown away by it. The waitress who served us was clearly just a lovely person and not just good as customer service. I hope I can go back some time - very memorable.
Marvelous meal! The service is great, everyone is friendly and welcoming. Raquel is wonderful! The atmosphere is cozy and they have an open kitchen design. The food was outstanding, the Char Siu flavorful and very tender. The Risotto a perfect balance of creamy, savory, sweet, and bright. The lomo bajo was cooked perfectly, something I have found very hard to find in Madrid. Ástor is one of my favorite places in Madrid hands down.

Update: We had to go back for our last meal in Madrid because the first one was so good and our favorite after 6 days in the city. Read below: My wife and I noticed this place on google maps and decided to try and see if they had availability….on a Sunday night, just after 9:30pm. Not only were they accommodating, they were so warm and welcoming! Immediately the Barman was helpful with a wine selection based upon a few questions he asked us and what we liked. Our server was Lidia and was so helpful and kind. We ordered two meat appetizers, then a mushroom risotto as the main to share. She suggested we go in reverse order from light to heavy, and she was right. Such a charming and delightful dining experience. Casual dress with the best of food. From the looks of it, I’d suggest reservations ahead of time as I think we got lucky on getting in as a walk up, and this is not a large restaurant trying to pump out dishes for the masses. This is for people who love food and the company that they keep. Trust the staff as you will have the best experience! DO NOT MISS!!! We went back on Friday and got lucky as someone may have cancelled last minute. Raquel (I may be spelling her name wrong) was very helpful over the phone, and in-person as we were making a wine selection. She made a stellar recommendation that complimented everything we had. We tried different things from the menu this time and it was just as good as the first time. The entire staff helped us this time, including Lidia. When we come back to Madrid again we will make this place a priority. Well done, Ástor Gastro-Place. It should be noted that this place never asked us for a review, which is quite uncommon with restaurants in the area. Don’t get me wrong, always happy to write a review if asked and the service/food are good. But this place has earned their great reputation!!!
Best little gem we found on a small side street of Plaza Mayor. Best meal and service we had in Madrid. We will come back again when next in Madrid! Started with complimentary croquettes followed by the Proveleta Astor, Marinated Fried Dogfish ceviche, tagliatelle with monkfish & prawn with wine by the glass of rjoja. Just perfect for two of us. Ended with a half portion of Spanish cheesecake - divine! Plus a lovely complimentary digestive. Highly recommend! Place was packed even as we left at 10pm. People were still being seated!

Me and my work colleague at last minute booked a seat for 2 and they welcomed us! Lucky to get a seat as I can understand why it’s so busy. The food and atmosphere. Not forgetting Maria who served us and including her staff. Good laugh to have and the service was fantastic. Just what we needed after a long day of flying over and exploring to our first day in Madrid. Starters were a good amount to share between us. The pork was cooked to perfection, dripping off the bone and melts on the tongue. Highly recommend!
One of the best dining experiences I had, first time in Madrid, first restaurant and what a choice. From the initial welcoming and hospitality of the staff and waitress, well chosen small menu (always a good sign) inspired by Peruvian and local seasonal cuisine, we had the Peruvian style Salmon tartar and León cured beef, the tartar was one of the best dishes I ever had, everything was served in a very calculated pace, with so much emphasis on the experience, followed by great wine selection (€3.5 for a glass is incredible) and fresh lemon juice for non alcoholics. The mains were incredible too, Pappardelle was heavily. Half a cheese cake for dessert (love that option to take half, it was 23:30pm…) to end with, highly recommend. Only feedback is that I’m not a fan of scanning a QR code for the menu when you want to put your phone aside for once, but understand why. Thanks for the experience!
Had a lovely dinner and experience at Astor Gastro Place for our last night in Madrid. The salmon tartar made for a great texture and taste. The “Lima Experience” was fun with its own cocktail pairing and followed by a perfectly cooked ribeye. Don’t miss the cheesecake to finish.
Our dinner at Astor was delightful! The cuisine was quite enjoyable. What I will remember from our dinner is the chocotorta that our server recommended to us for dessert. The outstanding service elevated our experience from good to wonderful. Andrea excels at her role - professional without any stuffiness, attentive and knowledgeable.
I go with my husband and son to dine last Saturday. Raquel and her team is really nice, warm and considerate. We deeply appreciate their service level such as replaced all our dishes for every dish to ensure we can enjoy the best taste of each dish. What are wonderful night we have in Madrid! The best restaurant I've been to in Madrid! The service is excellent!! The atmosphere is great and the food is really delicious, it's just a shame I couldn't eat more :) You must reserve a place in advance. The restaurant is in a very beautiful area!!! The bread and spredings are very delicious, the melted cheese is yummy but a bit too heavy, the steak is amazing also the drinks!!! The drinks can be made alcohol-free upon request and are very unique and refreshing! Would definitely come back next tome I am at Madrid
If I could give this spot 10 stars I would! It was bar far our favorite restaurant in Madrid, & dare I say Spain. Everything was too so rich with flavor. From the complimentary appetizers to the dessert, everything was so great! Now to the service, our waiter was amazing! She was attentive, remembered we had a birthday person, & engaged with us in a warm & inviting way. We enjoyed it so much we stopped at their other location for drinks & dessert on our last night in Madrid. Highly recommend making a reservation. 10/10 would definitely recommend both locations!
This restaurant is gorgeous and completely worth a visit while in Madrid. The mushroom risotto and the steak were absolutely delicious, as was the hummus to start. Their cocktails were also really good and unique- I got the guarapita chic. They also gave us complementary sours to end our meal which was a nice touch.
