Estuvimos cenando anoche y salimos encantados. Nos trataron fenomenal. La calidad de la comida, excelente. Volveremos sin duda. Gracias a todos el equipo.
Comida casera increíble. Trato exquisito. Precio ajustado. Insuperable.
We've been coming here regularly for years, and it's always a pleasure to greet Pepe. With his minor flaws and many successes, he makes our visit very enjoyable and always tries to improve and surprise us. The meat was excellent, and the hake was fantastic. By the way, the waitress who served us this Saturday did a great job. Thank you so much!
We were there two weeks ago. When we go to Madrid, we usually eat there, as we always get it right. The home-cooked food is very good. We had a set menu for 12.50, with chaufa rice for starter, which is similar to the 3 delicacies, but with bits of meat. The main courses, including pork chops, sea bass, and ribs, were delicious. NOTE: the potatoes in the side dish aren't frozen. For dessert, both the flan and the pudding are delicious and also homemade. The service is first-rate; the waiters are very attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is great; you feel right at home.
We often go to this Galician restaurant because it's truly fantastic, both the owner and the waiters are wonderful. The daily set menu is excellent value for money, quality, and quantity, and if you go in the evening for tapas, it's also fantastic—they give you generous portions. We went for dinner on Friday night and were served by a lovely waitress from Malaga. We ordered a portion of croquettes for €6 (6 croquettes, and they were absolutely delicious and perfectly made), Galician empanada for €6.50 (which was also very tasty, but unfortunately, they only have tuna empanadas), and a half portion of pulpo a la feira (Galician-style octopus) for €10.50 (very tasty, and the octopus was perfectly cooked and tender). For dessert, we ordered two filloas (Galician crepes) for €11 (which were also delicious and homemade). They gave us complimentary shots at the end with some ice cream bonbons, and the total bill came to €51.20. A highly recommended restaurant!
Delicious octopus with equally delicious and incredible potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked, delicious, and the ingredients were excellent, well-cooked. Personally, I wouldn't add smoky oil, as it can be tiresome. The scallops were perfect, as was the Santiago cake. Good value for the quality. The staff was very friendly. We ate in the dining room late on a Monday and had a great time. We'll definitely be back!
This restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Spain. The food is amazing and people are super friendly. I often ate artichokes and grilled fish here with white wine. Since I moved to another country, I started missing the taste of this restaurant and their service. I will definitely come here when I come to Madrid again.
Very good service ... Volvera
I hadn't been for a few years and I was so delighted. It's still extraordinary, with a great variety, excellent quality in everything we ate, and impeccable service and attention. My children were thrilled; my eldest scolded me for not taking him sooner—he didn't remember going there years ago—and my youngest left asking when we're going back next.
I would give 10 stars if I could! 👏🏻 It’s a hidden restaurant, away from other tourist attractions but definitely worth a metro ride from the centre. Amazing service and quality of the food 👌🏻The owner suggested us the best galician dishes to try, and he really knew... the pictures speak for themselves 🤤☀️
The food is excellent!! The Christmas menu is reasonably priced. The owner is wonderful. You can linger in the dining room after your meal. The roast ribs are amazing!!! I highly recommend it. They have a huge selection of dishes, everything is delicious, and the meat is spectacular. It never disappoints. The Albariño wine they make there is fantastic.
Awesome place to enjou your meal, authentic spanish style, big portions and wonderful table service
Ambiente tranquilo, familiar y agradable. Y lo más importante, …
Very good. The lamb neck was recommended by the owner and it was a bit dry but very tender. The octopus was excellent very tender. The clam bean soup was the best they had. The pork hock was very good as well. Overall great food and good wine selection to accompany these plates.
📍 C. de Maqueda, 26, Latina, 28024 Madrid 📸 Photos of the exterior and order 🕙 We went on a Friday lunchtime in May. 🧾 We ordered a coffee with milk, toast with tomato and ham, bravioli potatoes, and a set menu (we ordered spaghetti carbonara and gazpacho for starters, and coffee for dessert). The toast with tomato was good. Crunchy bread, the oil wasn't too much, and the ham wasn't undercooked. The portions were generally large. The bravioli was good, although for my taste they had too much sauce (they were practically soaked). The gazpacho and spaghetti were more than generous. Plating was simple and unpretentious, but tasty. We left about half the spaghetti portion. 👩🍳 Good, friendly, and charismatic service. They had a slightly newer guy who was being very cautiously taught. They made a mistake when bringing the bill (but it was in our favor), and we complained. 🌁 The place is a medium-sized restaurant with traditional decor; tables with tablecloths, simple cutlery, and white plates. They have umbrellas on the terrace, and it's a great place to sit. It quickly filled up for lunch. 📈The quantity and price ratio were more than decent. A good place, quiet, and good service. 📉 Nothing to complain about. If you're looking for a place with good value and without too many frills, I recommend it in the area.
We had the set menu there for €11.90. The restaurant is pretty average. They have several different menus. The food is very basic; the Caesar salad consisted entirely of strips of the same bland lettuce, four half-slices of tomato, hard, cold breaded chicken, croutons, drenched in "Caesar" dressing, and a handful of julienned carrots. The Galician broth was good, and the roast chicken was probably the best thing on the menu. It was well-cooked, and the sauce was very good, as were the potatoes. The place is quite old and poorly maintained. The tablecloths are about 20 years old and full of holes from so much use. Some of the waiters are nice, but there's one who's quite curt and just goes through the motions. He's not friendly, and while he was reciting the desserts to us, he turned away before we could even hear half of what he was saying.
They know little English and one of the waiters is impolite. Added on Jan. 10th. This dish costed 30 euros.
