Amazing breakfast options. Our rental apartment was on this street so found by chance but we went a few times during our trip!
Very cool and casual tapas bar, right next to the market hall. We have been there already twice, they offer food and beverages all day, starting with breakfast, then moving on to tapas. We can definitely recommend the kimchi croquettes and the albondigas. Also a highlight their vermouth and carajillo (coffee with brandy, for 2,8€!). One of us has some allergies and the service took really good care of them. If you are in the neighbourhood visit and try their vermouth with some croquettes!
Visited here more than once. Each time people were SUPER polite and fun. If it’s busy, you’ll have to wait, and if you want to sit on the terrace - go inside and ask if you can sit outside, and ask if the kitchen is open first. Yes, I’m a white American tourist - so I cannot speak to all the one star reviews that say that there were many many owners over last few years, and lots of locals who don’t like tourists or prices. I hate being the problem, and I hate Americans and tourists invading and ruining local spots. However on my visits I simply waited at the bar and asked if I could sit outside first, and asked if the kitchen is open. So many one star reviews say: I waited outside for an million hours and the kitchen was closed — I work in bars and restaurants in the USA — why not just go inside and politely ask for service or if the kitchen is open. Yes there are lots of places that are cheap and affordable nearby — but each time I was inside or outside on the terrace I didn’t hear any English, it was all folks that looked like from the neighborhood, enjoying the experience. Workers at bars and restaurants are not mind readers with super powers. You’re paying more to sit on a nice terrace with ambience, instead of in a small cafe or tavern, and the interior is very nice and clean and updated. I’m sad for the one star reviews — this place is excellent and seems full of Madrid locals. Really loved it and the kinds staff — 5 stars. Also — they were super nice even though most of my visits I had an 18 month old baby screaming and running and acting like a monster. Loved the coffee too.
Every dish is a work of art. The tapas here are not your usual fare—they elevate traditional flavors with creative combinations and unexpected ingredients. Bold flavors, and each bite is an experience. Yet you are reminded of what a tapas bar in Madrid is all about! Jenny is an amazing cook!!! My compliments
I really liked this place!! We only went for a quick coffee before visiting El Rastro and doing some shopping but the coffee was absolutely fantastic and the service was nice and friendly. The tortilla looked fantastic so I'll definitely be going back here for breakfast when I'm next around the area/going to El Rastro.
We stumbled upon this local breakfast spot by accident and fell in love with it. They offer two flavors for their tortilla, and the "special" truffle flavor was absolutely delicious. It's the perfect neighborhood café for a quick bite. The service was super friendly, making it a great way to start the day. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area
I think this is a place that locals like. We came across it by chance on our walk to el rastro and I'm glad we did. The crispy pancakes with maple syrup and creme fraische and eggs, all in one dish were prefecto! Must try! The crispy bread with fried eggs that the lady sitting next to us had were also looking great. Next time! Gem of a cafe and had outdoor seating too :)
I love heading to La Embajada for breakfast. The classic tortilla is up there with the best in Madrid. Honestly I might even give it top spot. Plus they have interesting alternative versions as well like pear and truffle, cheese and ham etc. All of the breakfast items are good too. It always has a vibe and is busy and buzzy but you can normally somehow grab a small table or cotch at the bar. The service is very efficient and friendly. A great little spot.
Delicious tapas on a busy Sunday afternoon. We had the papas papas bravas, fritters and meatballs. They were all very good.
If you're looking for an unforgettable and typical Spanish dining experience, look no further than La Embajada! This tapas bar is a hidden gem where all the locals go. The atmosphere is vibrant and t…

Très bon endroit
Le falta ventilación a la sala. Deberían poner algo, porque en las charlas, en la que suele haber bastante gente, se recalienta muchísimo el sitio
