Mesón A'Barca Madrid Reviews
A wonderful experience. The food is very good, the service was spectacular, very attentive and fast. We ordered several portions and left very full and delighted. The portions were large overall, the prices were good, and the quality was truly amazing. I highly recommend it. They have a à la carte menu and a daily set menu (they only serve à la carte on weekends, according to a waiter).
We had a couple of drinks at lunchtime, and the experience was very good. We didn't stay for lunch, but we've decided to do so another day because the dishes we saw looked so good. They served us stewed ear (very tasty) and ham as an appetizer with more beers. Reasonable prices, good service. Recommended.
The place so so, but the food!!!! BEST EVER AND HUGE DISHES 💕💕💕
Great place for steak and ....
Super
Perfect
Excellent, tasty food. A little bit expensive
We went for a Wednesday night dinner and had a very comfortable meal. We didn't book in advance and thought we might not have any room, but that wasn't the case. We ordered lacón (pork shoulder) and they didn't have any, we ordered knuckle and they didn't have any either. We were a bit disappointed because we had that idea for dinner, but in the end, things worked out. They brought us blood sausage, empanada, and a typical Galician chorizo dish, zorza (a type of sausage). Everything was well-made and flavorful. We left happy and satisfied with the service and treatment we received. We'll be back.
Food: We had the set menu, which was well-prepared and presented, with a good portion size. Service: The waiter was attentive, professional, and quick. Atmosphere: The restaurant is decorated with Galician themes, although the tables are a bit close together. Set menu price: €13.50 I recommend it.
We stumbled upon this place by chance and it was a pleasant surprise. When we saw the prices on the menu, it seemed a bit expensive, but after seeing the portions, it became clear why. The food was delicious, and the portions were very large, so if you want to try several things, it's best to go with a group. I wouldn't order more than one portion per person. The staff was very attentive and friendly, and the place is quite spacious. It has a tapas area near the entrance and then a dining room to the left where you can sit and eat more comfortably.
It had been many years since we'd been to this restaurant. Now it's much bigger. The food was fantastic. There were two adults and one child in our party. We had six drinks, two kilos of cockles (you couldn't ask for less!), spectacularly large and delicious; ham hock with potatoes, a very generous portion, and cuttlefish with salad, also very tasty; two ice creams and two coffees. The bill came to 93 euros. It's definitely a place we'll return to.
A little bit of Galicia in Madrid. I went to lunch with a friend and we were delighted. From the moment you walk in the door, you're greeted with a smile and a hello, even if it's busy. They have a daily menu. But the octopus is spectacular. We also loved the Santiago cake. Good products, good service, and a good price—you couldn't ask for more. Totally recommend it.
A renovated Galician restaurant, welcoming and with good service. They use high-quality market produce prepared in a classic style. The portions are very generous; it's easy to order too much and then need to bring your own container. If you go on the weekend, you'll likely experience longer wait times due to the high volume of customers. They offer a daily set menu that will leave you more than satisfied.
Typical Spanish. You got what you went there for. No complaints
I've been to this restaurant many, many times over the years, and it's a shame to see how crowded it is every day, due to the low quality of its products. White shrimp, good size but old, with very black heads. For the main course, grilled hake, three tiny slices of whiting that they said were the portion for two people, also with a lot of old-fashioned flavor. We mentioned this to the young man who served us, and he very kindly told us there was nothing he could do. It's a shame that a restaurant that was doing wonderfully in every way is at such low levels. Well, all of the above, an ordinary Albarino wine and two black coffees without dessert, was very close to 100 euros, two people 93 euros. Friday night and 6 people in the restaurant. I think they'll close down soon if they don't change things... of course, they'll blame the government for the taxes.
CONTESTACIÓN A TU COMENTARIO: 1.
