Tibidabo Madrid Reviews
Tibidabo is one of Barcelona’s most charming and memorable attractions, offering a unique blend of history, fun, and breathtaking views. Perched high above the city, the Tibidabo Amusement Park feels like a journey back in time, with classic rides that retain a nostalgic atmosphere while still being enjoyable for all ages. The iconic Ferris wheel and the red airplane ride provide stunning panoramic views over Barcelona, the sea, and the surrounding mountains, making them perfect spots for photos. Beyond the rides, the area itself is peaceful and scenic, ideal for a relaxed escape from the busy city center. The nearby Temple of the Sacred Heart adds cultural and architectural value, turning a visit to Tibidabo into a complete experience that combines entertainment, history, and spectacular landscapes.
Theme park located at the top of Barcelona. The view over Barcelona is very good. The park is mainly for kids however you 2-3 attractions that are good for adults. Hence as only for adult the entry price is very high due to the few attractions for adults. A lot of parents and kids are in the park which is indeed the first target audience of this park During our visit in January many people in each attraction’s queue pass in front of us to join other members of their group most advance in the queue. Very disturbing as this happens many times in each attractions. I cannot imagine this bad/disrepectful behavior during summer with long waiting queues as this probably creates tensions. There are a lot of paper signs saying that is not allowed. You can find food and drinks stall inside the park, as well few picnic areas. There are parking located at 3-4 minutes downhills, better to book in advance otherwise very hard to have a parking spot in the weekend There are somes lockers available outside and inside the park, very pricy, around 5€ the locker of medium size.
During Christmas and New Year, the amusement park on the top of Tibidabo is especially lively and full of festive atmosphere. It gets quite busy, but the holiday mood makes the visit very enjoyable, particularly for families. The classic attractions are still a big part of the charm, offering fun for both children and adults. The real highlight, however, is the amazing view from the summit: the whole city of Barcelona spreads out below, with the Mediterranean Sea in the background, which is especially impressive on clear days. Overall, the experience is very positive and memorable. The only downside is that waiting times can be quite long during the holiday season. Even so, it is well worth a visit and highly recommended.
Excellent panaromic view of Barcelona . Must go before setting of the sun so you will see both golden hours and night view of the city. If you have kiddo will love that place because this place is also a amusement park. Grab a coffee (only 2 euros at buffet) and enjoy the view. We used funiculare to get there and it is very comfy way to reach top. It is 13.5 euros.
Very nice olace to visit. Went by a car and 18 euros for parking. Long line for the rollercoster but a great 3d ride. People taking place for 8 more people in line even if posters saying it not allowed. No special food sold there so reccomend taking with you as it has a nice picnic area. The rides are all very nice but staff is slow and so longer waiting time.
A church about 30 minutes from the city center, located on a hill with stunning views overlooking all of Barcelona. For just €5, you can climb to the top — definitely worth it! Highly recommend visiting at sunset for beautiful scenery. Don’t forget a jacket, as it can get quite windy and chilly up there.
Tibidabo is a must-visit when you’re in Barcelona! The panoramic views over the entire city are absolutely breathtaking — one of the best viewpoints in town. At the top, you’ll find the beautiful Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor, a stunning church that’s worth visiting both inside and out. Just next to it, there’s a charming little hermitage and the iconic Tibidabo Amusement Park, which adds a fun and nostalgic vibe to the whole area. The place is well organized, clean, and has something for everyone — whether you’re into history, photography, or just enjoying a peaceful moment above the city. Getting there is also quite easy. I took public transportation using the Funicular and then the bus 111, which drops you off right near the top. Everything was smooth and well-connected. Highly recommended when visiting Barcelona with time!
🎢 Review: Tibidabo Amusement Park – Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸 📍 Location: Tibidabo Hill, Barcelona 🌍 One of the oldest functioning amusement parks in the world with a breathtaking view of the city! As a travel consultant and explorer of family-friendly destinations, I can confidently say Tibidabo Amusement Park is not just about thrilling rides — it’s about history, nostalgia, and views you’ll never forget. 🔹 Highlights: ✅ Historic Charm – Open since 1901, this park beautifully blends vintage rides with modern touches. ✅ Stunning View – Set atop a mountain, you get panoramic views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea. ✅ Family-Friendly – There are rides for all ages, including kids’ zones and relaxing attractions for adults. ✅ Unique Attractions – The Red Airplane ride and Avió are iconic — flying over the skyline is magical. ✅ Access to Temple of the Sacred Heart – A bonus visit to the beautiful church right next to the park. 🔸 Things to Consider: Access to the park involves a funicular ride or long uphill journey — plan accordingly. Ticket prices are slightly higher than some local attractions but worth the experience. Can be crowded on weekends and holidays. 📊 Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.5/5) If you want a mix of old-school charm, beautiful scenery, and fun with family or friends, Tibidabo is a must-visit in Barcelona.
Looks cool and you can spend some time there, especially if you have kids. If you want to have some fun up there then i do recommend to bring your courage with you :)). The view of Barcelona is spectacular. If you try the churros there, prepare to be disappointed, they are not the best, but if you do buy some, at least buy the hot chocolate, instead of the chocolate topping, trust me,it's way better
Tibidabo is a beautiful amusement park on top of a mountain. At it’s peak there is a cathedral that you can visit, allowing you to go to the top of the building to have an amazing view over Barcelona. The admission fee is also very cheap. Don’t expect top of the line thrilling attractions on the top level (lower level attractions require an additional ticket if they are open). Top level attractions are solely focused on giving you a great view. With that being said, I highly recommend going here when you’re visiting Barcelona.
