We chose Antonio's for my Mom-in-law's 75th, and it was wonderful! Good service, great choices and wonderful atmosphere. They also served her a free dessert for her birthday. Thank you for making her day special and for giving us wonderful memories. We will most definitely be back.
Antonio’s Maitland offers both casual and formal/fine dining in a casual setting downstairs and elegant restaurant upstairs, respectively. Regardless, the hand made pastas, amazing sauces and excellent presentation always impress. A great place for lunch or dinner!
Such a fantastic restaurant. We really don’t go here enough. Every time has been amazing. If you want true, authentic Italian food prepared to perfection, you’ll be pleased!
My husband and I came for the first time to celebrate my birthday and it was an amazing experience. We ate upstairs and from the moment we arrived we greeted by a friendly host and the service from our waitress throughout the night was impeccable. Food was amazing, I’d give more stars if I could. It felt like an authentic Italian experience and you can tell the secret ingredient is love! We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this lovely place if you’re looking for some yummy Italian food in an elegant setting :)
Fantastic meal for our 23rd Anniversary celebration. The fried Calamari was so fresh, it required no salt or lemon. My wife had the Veal Marsala and I had the Lobster Ravioli and both meals were Superb. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, it was as if we were family and or we were regulars. We will return next time we are in Orlando (usually) three times a year. Thank you to the staff for taking the time to treat us so well.
The happy hour menu and drinks were absolutely delicious! Our server Dani was amazing, highly recommend the atmosphere and ambiance upstairs.
We had a nice birthday celebration for my son. We were greeted with a friendly smile as we were lead to our table. The waitress was attentive and the food was fresh, hot and so delicious. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere, the great service and the best Italian food.
We had a family party of 14 downstairs in the Market for dinner. It was fabulous! Tim, the manager bent over backwards to accommodate us! We sat all together in a corner & spent the evening laughing, eating delicious food & wine and enjoying our time together. The service was wonderful! Thank you so much for going above and beyond! We will be back and continue to recommend one of our favorite eateries!
This place did not disappoint! The decor inside is classic and welcoming, you can tell it's been around for a while. Service was excellent. Food was delicious and served promptly, but you can tell everything is made fresh in their kitchen. I got shrimp linguine and enjoyed the extra sauce at the bottom, it was good for dipping bread. My husband got the chicken parmesan and it was filling, which is a big deal because he eats a lot. We look forward to coming back and checking out the market downstairs.
Excellent restaurant for our rehearsal dinner. Food was excellent, coconut cream pie and berries for dessert were amazing, and private room for a party of 54 was a huge plus! Service by staff was exceptional. Definitely recommend! Thank you for making our evening memorable and special.God bless you all. We appreciate you!❤️🙏🏻
We had a fantastic dinner at Antonio's (the resturant upstairs)! The Veal Parm was such a huge hit with our daughter! We also enjoyed the chicken parm, salmon, and chicken marsala, everything had wonderful flavor and was cooked very well. When it came for dessert we ordered one of everything and absolutely loved the cannolis! Our server as well as the over all atmosphere was outstanding!! We will absolutely be back for dinner again soon!
The food was amazing, real authentic Italian eating. Everything was prepared to perfection, the wine and cocktail selection was phenomenal. Our server was Daniel, and he went above and beyond in serving us, earning him a 30% tip from us. He gave us excellent service, helped us tremendously when one of our wine glasses spilled, and gave excellent recommendations and drink pairings. I had the braised lamb. It was fall of the bone tender, it was juicy, it was flavorful, and it was quite substantial as well. Every penny we spent here was worth it. The shop downstairs also has amazing options, wine bottles for purchase, sauce, sausage, cooking and dipping oil. We will be here regularly.
Crowded. Not much room. Table was next to retail products and the cash register was right there. Definitely not the best seats in the house. It had been years since we had been there and I can't understand why we hadn't been back sooner. Loved it. Upscale, quaint and reasonably priced. Flavors out of this world.
Prix Fixe menu offers an appetizer, entree and dessert for $35. I had a very generous order of calamari, very fresh, lightly breaded, golden fried, not rubbery at all. I then had this huge oak grilled NY Strip and ended with a delicious homemade coconut cream pie. The warm soft bread before the meal was light & fluffy.
I’ve been going to Antonio’s for over 10 years… every special occasion, every visit back in town, every time I want the best gourmet pizza to-go. I always stop by the market for wine, cheese, prosciutto, and crisps. I even got engaged here. Needless to say, this place holds a special place in my heart. Downstairs will always be my favorite. The food? Incredible. The bread? Truly the best I’ve ever had. The desserts are all homemade, and the pizza? You won’t find better. Antonio’s is the spot.
Michael and Todd were so great! Michael was so patient and kind. For being an indecisive woman, he helped me pick my entree, came back to give me cheese like 4x (I like a lot of grated cheese, don’t judge me because I secretly know that you do too). Thank you to you both for the astounding service!!!!
I've been here for dinner upstairs at the main restaurant and downstairs for lunch in the deli restaurant. Both are great. I personally prefer grabbing lunch here its informal and great Italian food. I love the chicken artichoke. I recommend getting there 1130 to make sure you grab a seat for lunch rush its a local favorite spot
This is such authentic delicious food you have to try . The bread and dipping sauce are exceptional the lasagna is superb my husband ordered the salmon it cam with oven roasted potatoes and fresh vegetables . For dessert we split the limocello cake the perfect ending to a dinning delight . Our service what over the top . We will be back
We had a wonderful time here on Valentine’s Day with a prix fixe menu! Prices were $54-69 for a three-course meal that was DELICIOUS! The New York strip was slow cooked over a fire, served medium rare, giving it a wonderful smoked flavor and it was soooo tender! It must have been at least 3 inches thick - to die for! It was almost like eating prime rib. Yum. My wife ordered the lobster fettuccini with a delectable ragu. You could tell the sauce and pasta were all freshly made, and most importantly, they didn’t skimp on the lobster! Amazingly generous. We had an artichoke salad, the artichokes again were smoked over the fire and delicious. The Caesar salad was also great. We were even surprised by the chocolate covered strawberries because unlike most places, the chocolate was nice and soft around the strawberries and made it even more delicious. It was served with a creamy, delicious vanilla ice cream. The restaurant is a very large space with plenty of room for large parties or intimate dining. It was a beautiful setting with excellent service. Even not a busy night like Valentine’s Day. We look forward to returning. Most importantly regarding the restaurant, I want to point out that I saw someone leave a review saying the portions were extremely small and there was no room in the dining area because tables were cluttered together. This is completely false. You can take a look at my photos and see the expansive size of the upstairs and the generous portion sizes. I don’t think we could’ve eaten anything bigger than what they served us, which was quite frankly perfect.
Antonio’s (Upstairs) is a traditional Italian restaurant located in Maitland. There is a separate shop and restaurant downstairs as well. The staff is very friendly, helpful, attentive, and did a great job bringing out the food all at once. Their food was very tasty and high quality, would definitely recommend for great Italian. They only serve wine, however they have a great selection.
WOW! Service and food were both outstanding. We bought some things from the market as well and everything was just amazing. We can’t wait to try their lunch menu downstairs! Bruschetta was a little bland compared to others I’ve had, but the dinners were *chefs kiss! Definitely recommend.
Worth the wait! My wife and I live just down the street and have passed by here multiple times. We decided to join another couple for Magic Dinning and needless to say, holy deliciousness. They put their best foot forward with the calamari, smoked salmon, and eggplant as an appetizer. We had the lobster ravioli and the steak with shrimp. The steak was cooked perfect and was massive! The lobster ravioli was delicious along with all of our desserts. They have a nice lounge area to enjoy a craft cocktail before dinner and all of the drinks were 👌 will be going back for more!
Really pleasant time highly recommend the Bruscetta the short rib and best chicken Marsala in Orlando. Can’t believe we’ve been in Orlando for five years and not found this place before. Danielle great
We absolutely had a great time when we came here for our anniversary. The atmosphere is great for a date night or for a business meeting. Our server was very polite and professional. Everyone was wearing white dress shirts and a tie. I enjoyed my old fashioned while the girlfriend enjoyed her pineapple spritz(?). The stuffed mushrooms were quite tasty and al dente (not how you would normally describe a food that's not pasta). Their bread that they serve with the herbs EVOO is good as well. For our main course I had an amazing short ribs with polenta and the gf has chicken alfredo. The lemon creme brulee was very tasty and not burnt at all. The shell was very thick though. Once we left they called us back asking if my girlfriend forgot her ID (she did). We gratefully returned. Definitely coming back to a follow-up.
I love this cute little restaurant my husband and I wanted some Italian and this place hit the spot we are bar people and the bar was quiet packed Danny I believe was the bartender and she was a hoot! She cracked jokes and she handled a full bar so well we stayed longer than we should have just to keep chatting with her we will definitely be back when we are in town
When to the Upstairs dining room. The service was absolutely impeccable, and not rushed. Our smoked salmon appetizer very good, served on a crusty style tuscan bread. I had the Veal piccata, very tender and quite good though I found the taste of the lemon butter sauce could have been slightly more intense. My companion, said the Mahi-mahi withe corn salsa was very much to her liking. Added picture of the VALENTINO (Belgian Chocolate Cup) & the TIRAMISU, both excellent.
This was my first time visiting this restaurant but I will definitely come back! I came because of magical dining with my boyfriend. For appetizers we had the roasted eggplant and tomato caprese and the fried calamari. Both were great! The fried calamari was very tender yet the batter was nice and crisp and the dipping sauce was very flavorful. I only tried a bite of the fried eggplant as it was my boyfriend's order but it was very fresh and it was on a nice olive oil sauce. For our entrees, he had the ny strip and I had the fresh fish of the day which was tripletail. The steak was a great portions and cook very well and nice side of flavorful mashed potatoes and green beans. My dish was amazing. The fish had a smoked flavor and was very tender. The roasted potatoes that came with it were so delicious that I tried to get the recipe before I left! Lol It also came with fresh sliced cherry tomatoes and cucumbers on a delicious sauce, olive oil meets ranch flavor? Then for dessert we had an order of each of the dessert items. The valentino was perfectly portioned for one person, it was rich with a dark cacao flavor and raspberry drizzle. The tiramisu was the best I've ever had! The espresso and liquor flavors were perfectly balanced, neither overpowering the other. And the mascarpone was incredible!! You could taste how fresh the cream was. Honestly, it was heavenly. Still dreaming about it as i type this lol Of course our service was great as well. Our server Alex was very helpful with recommendations and had the perfect amount of attentiveness. All in all, truly a five-star experience. Were the prices expensive? Sure. But is it worth it? Absolutely!
Went downstairs for lunch the other day, and I am so glad I did. It was delicious! I had the chicken which was sauteed with artichokes and served with mixed vegetables and broiled potatoes in a lemon and wine sauce and was superb! There are many desserts and Italian groceries available downstairs for takeout , and a great restaurant upstairs as well. This is a great place for great Italian food and I recommend this restaurant very highly!
We have been coming to Antonio's for 10 years plus. We've always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. For the last 6 months we have noticed a drop in the quality of the food. However the last couple of visits we have noticed the quality has come back. Dinner tonite was as good as anything we have ever had at Antonio's. Glad we keep coming back. Our number one place for Italian.
Our 1st visit made me not want to come back, but the owner was gracious enough to send a gift card in the mail so we decided to give it another shot. 2nd go round and this place is a absolute home run! I got the chicken with artichokes and my wife the chicken parmigiana. Both meals were cooked to perfection and came out within a reasonable time. Thanks for a great meal Antonio’s we will be dining with you again!
My husband and I were visiting and decided to come in for dinner, the restaurant was busy so we decided to sit at the bar. Dani was taking care of us and elevated our entire meal! My husband had chicken parm and I had the ravioli, Dani recommended adding sausage to it which was delicious! She was so fun and personable, aside from the great food, she made our experience that much better with her excellent service! Would definitely return and recommend to others! (:
This place was amazing. The food is home style cooked meals. I had the rosemary chicken and my boyfriend had the chick with artichoke. Came with baked veggies with the optional cheese on top. We had the resiling for wine to drink and the carrot cake for dessert. I really love their store inside with all the Italian accoutrements from desserts to a deli and meals to go. Mace was our server and he was the best.
I was in there on friday and had Dani as a bartender! 10/10 Love my time there and she made it even better! Food and drinks were delicious! Will be back!
Went last night for magical dining with my mother in law. Such a nice hidden gem. Downstairs is a cafe/market where you can eat. Upstairs is the restaurant. They have stairs and a small elevator to get up there. If you park in the larger lot in the back, you walk straight into the double doors and can make your way up. Otherwise if you enter through the front main doors, you go through the market. The food option we chose were fantastic. Our server was phenomenal. Forgot his name but very sweet and basically quick on his feet all night. It was a busy evening as they had a party of 40 dining as well but service was still fine in our opinion. It was a Friday night so we expected it to be busy. This is a great spot for a date or friends get together. Although yes I thunk it's family friendly, I think the atmosphere upstairs for dining is more adult and the cafe downstairs is great if you have the kiddos with you. We found parking in the back easily. They also had a full bar and plenty of wines to choose from. Overall, great time and the prices for a regular non magical dining experience are reasonable. Will be coming back again! Had the NY strip, lobster ravioli, coconut pie, chocolate, smoked salmon app and egg plant app. Drank the spritzers. Mother in law found it to be strong. I thought it was fine. So definitely depends on the person. Enjoy!
It's been some time since I've visited due to the office relocating but the Lasagna and Meat Sauce is still fantastic. Still a great lunch spot and still consistent after 7 years from my last review. There is so much more to this place. from 7 years ago...This has become a favorite lunch spot for me since wandering in one afternoon. I've had a number of lunches and have been happy with each. Servers are always very pleasant. My favorite is the Lasagna with meat sauce. Sauce is excellent.
Always drive by this place and finally get to try. I did not know that they do 2 different servings on each floor. First floor more like common affordable price Italian food but still full service, second floor is more fancier. I tried the first floor today and get their pasta daily specials. OMG it is so delicious for the pasta!! Creamy taste but unique, not sure how exactly to describe it but encourage you to try! Pizza is ok nothing too special and tiramisu is decent. Price is fair and definitely come back to try 2nd floor!
The first floor has several food items for sale and tables but the restaurant is on the 2nd floor. Had the Magical Dining menu items. Picked the smoked salmon(slice of salmon on a baguette)for appetizer. Good for appetizer. Had the lobster ravioli with sherry cream sauce for entree and it was as good as it looked and it looked very good. Definitely recommended. Also had a side order of prosciutto ham with peas, agood addition. The dessert was the very inventive Valentino which was belgian chocolate cup filled with brandy, whipped cream, chocolate & served over their special raspberry sauce. Just from the items in it you know it was good. All around good dining experience.
EDIT to initial review!!! 5 STARS🥳🥳🥳🥳 Just wanted to do an edit of my review for Antonio's. The GM of the restaurant reached out to me and offered to make things right with the restaurant's Chipotle Shrimp Fettuccine dish and I accepted. He said I was the first person to ever call back. He also explained what had happened with the dish I ordered and how spicy it was. They corrected the amount of spice and let me tell you, IT IS SO AMAZING! It is the right amount and gives it just enough heat. The shrimp, mushrooms, sauce.... it was just perfect! I ate the whole thing this time!! They didn't charge me for my dinner this time around. They did a phenomenal job at making things right with one of their customers. I highly recommend when an establishment wants to get in touch and try to make things right, give them a call! Antonio's read my review and figured out the problem with the dish, corrected it, and made it taste so freaking good and invited me to try them again. I'm so glad I did! Mr. Gentile, thank you so much for reaching out! I truly enjoyed speaking with you and enjoyed everything I ordered! You have a very quaint marketplace and eatery. Kudos to you and your staff!❤️ Wanted to get some Italian food and ordered the Smokey Chipotle shrimp with fettuccine. Do not order this dish unless you like to feel the heat from the spice and not taste the food. The waiter said it was a hot dish, and I asked how hot it burned your mouth and he said no but everyone's level of heat is different. Ours was not on the same page. I ordered milk, and even still, it didn't help. Sadly, I only had 3 bites of it. The waiter offered me dessert, so I had the spumoni.. that was good and helped take the heat out of my mouth. He didn't charge me for the dessert, but I got charged for the dinner. This dish would have been amazing if it didn't have all the excessive spice that made it unbearable for someone like myself to eat. The service was good and the atmosphere was too. We ate in the downstairs portion of the restaurant. Which was more like a cafe/bistro. Really cute place with sauces, food, and chocolates to buy. If I go back, I know what not to order
Antonios has the perfect cozy atmosphere. Larissa gets 5 stars for her service!! She was amazing. I came on a Sunday and had an amazing vodka pasta and salad! I was treated to a lovely free dessert as well! The tiramisu was perfection!
Antonio’s of Maitland is a unique place. They have an Italian market downstairs and a nice dining area upstairs. The food was excellent, bring a classic homemade Italian taste. The portions were big. We enjoyed the burrata and calamari appetizers. I had the Capellini D’Angelo and loved every bite. My only complaint was that it was rather hot upstairs and our waters were not promptly refilled so I was feeling pretty parched.
Excellent experience tonight at Antonio’s. We chose upstairs for our anniversary dinner. Had 5pm reservations and were sat promptly. Service was on point. Appetizer, soup and salad were delicious. Main course was tonight’s special, the lobster ravioli, and chicken Parmesan. OMG. So good. Got to meet the owner, Greg. Finished the night with chocolate cake and cannoli. Absolutely 5 stars all the way around!!
This was my second visit to Antonio's. My first visit was at Antonio's upstairs and it was a five star experience for this food writer. But I was intrigued with downstairs Market & Deli. I knew we be eating the same good food just a different menu and the vibe in the downstairs location sent me back home to New York City and I loved every moment of it. People talking laughing dishes clattering wonderful aromas filling the air. We were delighted. This is certainly my favorite out of town restaurant and every time I visit this is on my list. Our server Chad what's a rockstar and a big shout out to him.
We live less than a mile away and have always wanted to try... I went on Open Table and 4:30, and to my pleasure they had a 5:45 available. When we arrived, we were offered a table or booth, and that was a great start... because we love our booths when we go out. My husband and I knew within 10 seconds of meeting the waiter Juan, we would enjoy our evening. His service was superb, and the food was even better. We started with their cheese and meat plate and it was unbelievable! My husband doesn’t eat cold mushrooms and he literally horded all of them. He got the New York strip and I got their meatloaf chef special (I was nervous because meatloaf is hit or big miss). When Juan described it with the mashed sweet potatoes, mushrooms and caramalized brown sugar sauce, I went for it! We are mad at ourselves for waiting this long to go, and pending our future experiences match this one, it will be a staple restaurant in our life!
My fiance' and I just tried Antonio's (downstairs restaurant) for the first time today and it was absolutely amazing! Our waiter was Quentin and his customer service is some of the best I have experienced in years! Super attentive and friendly. Our food took a little longer to reach us because there was an issue in the kitchen, but Quentin's excellent service made up for it. We had the Lentil soup, the Rustic pizza and Margherita pizzas, Hoeggarden beer, and Tiramisu for dessert and everything was delicious! I absolutely recommend this place! My fiance' and I will be new regulars at this restaurant for sure! We will be trying their upstairs/fine dining restaurant next for our date night! Highly recommend Antonio's and would give 10/5 stars if I could!
Absolutely top tier! The wait staff never let our glass get close to empty but they weren't overbearing. They gave suggestions and everything was phenomenal! Highly recommend this spot!
Love the downstairs Cafe at Antonio's! It never disappoints! Great atmosphere, amazing service, and delicious food! The perfectly crusty bread and seasoned olive oil for dipping is one of my favorites! I always enjoy the fresh spinach salad topped with grilled salmon. This is a must stop whenever you are near the Maitland area!
I knew we were going to have a good experience when we walked in. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the service is excellent. I shared a cheese ravioli which had sundried tomatoes and a nice level of seasoning. It was delicious. The limonchello was light and fluffy with lemon rind and white chocolate. Will definitely come back!
Dined on the veranda overlooking Lake Lilly for a company function-Weather was perfect! Service was 1st rate. Meal could not have been better. Chicken Piccata, breaded calamari, Salad & Tiramisu were all outstanding for me. Convenient location and extensive wine choices. HIGHLY recommend Antonio's!!!
I visited for the first time and I can't believe how good the food was. Sauces were wonderful, pasta cooked perfectly and a wide array of main courses. There are 2 distinct restaurants. Up stairs is formal with impeccable service. Downstairs is more of a Cafe within an Italian grocery. My only issue with the downstairs location is the number of tables wedged into every square foot of space. This makes it hard to shop without getting into diner's way. We will definitely be back.
We had a wonderful experience at Antonio’s in Maitland! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. We’ve been to restaurants in Italy, and this place truly brought back those memories. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Definitely a great spot for a nice meal — highly recommended!
Wow. Just wow. My dinner at Antonio’s was unforgettable. They have a fine selection of wine, the servers are respectful and professional, and the food is…. well…. I didn’t realize food could be that delicious, and I’ve eaten a lot of food in my adult life. Definitely worth the price. Try all the foods you possibly can because you won’t regret it.
I always have a good meal at Antonio's whether it's upstairs or downstairs. In this case we went upstairs and had a beautiful rainbow trout meal with another special that was offered with chicken and pasta. . The drinks were very good. The salad was good and the service was good. I always recommend Antonio's to anyone that is going out for dinner... and don't forget the dessert, we got the coconut cake and it is so so decadent.
I was in to pickup a catering order for a friend's event. As soon as I walked in the manager introduced himself and was very helpful. The food was being packaged to ensure freshness which I appreciated. Nothing worse than could food and they delivered with piping hot items in secured containers. The manager himself along with staff helped me load and organize everything in my car, even making sure that I had my keys on me before closing the car doors. I was able to try the for and evening was delicious: braised short ribs, chicken marsala, polenta, mashed potatoes, veggies, and bread loaves. I also purchased short rib ravioli and squash ravioli, lemon sauce, and wedding cookies from their little market for my family to enjoy that were all very good. Overall an excellent experience and would highly recommend.
My friends and I came for happy hour and had a great experience! Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious, and the happy hour menu offered fantastic value. Our server, Dani, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and was very attentive. We’ll definitely be coming back!
We were here with a large party yesterday and it was awesome. I'd never been here before, and our servers Brittany and Angelina took great care of us. It was a special get together, so having it all go smoothly made it a perfect evening. Next time we're in town, we will be coming back to Antonio's for more delicious food!
Not sure if Tuesday night they don’t have their usual chef but some of the dishes were off. I took my family of 6 people out to dinner. We had 2 chicken Parmagian, lamb shank, eggplant involtino, penne with sausage, Alfredo chicken, lobster ravioli, fried calamari, buratta, chocolate cake, Valentino al lamponi some wine and coffee. So the chicken from the chicken parm tasted like it was precooked and reheated. It was not crispy and the The texture was chewy, which usually means it was reheated in a microwave. The Alfredo chicken was similarly not enjoyed since it also had a strange texture and must have also not been freshly cooked. The rest of the food tasted delicious from the appetizers to the other entrées and the desserts. The waitress did ask us if everything tasted good and I told her about the chicken Parm’s that were not enjoyed, and she offered some something else but after eating half of the plate of chicken Parm, my husband and my son were not interested in another dish.
Good food. We enjoyed our dinner. Restaurant was a little dated. Could use a refresh.
UPDATED FROM 3 STARS TO 4. The owner Greg really put in the effort and care to make our experience better. When he made the calzone it was perfection. Unfortunately, we decided to go on a weekend this time, and they cooked all the spinach IN the calzone instead of before, so his calzone was soggy. We give up on the calzone. We really love this place...but because of the inconsistencies with how his calzones tune out, we're going to take a break from here for now. The difference between perfection and soggyness was less than 2 weeks. Although we always order the same thing, we know its not a popular dish people order, so I guess it depends on who is in the kitchen with how it turns out. The owner genuinely cares, and I'm sure that if you order anything other than a spinach and meatball calzone, you'll really enjoy this place UPDATED REVIEW FROM 5 STARS TO 3 STARS. This is so upsetting for us, because this restaurant is a part of our history, and both of us have incredible and fond memories of this place. But this last visit this evening I believe warranted an updated review. He always gets their spinach and meatball calzone, and it used to always be packed full of spinach and meatballs. I made the order with a manager this evening over the phone and he assured me that the calzone would be up to the standards that it used to be and would not be a chintzy amount of fillings. I've attached photos of how the calzone actually turned out...which was a few pieces of spinach and a little bit of meatball. But for the additional $5 to add those toppings, which makes that calzone just shy of $20, it was a bit if a disappointment. And what's even crazier is the side ceasar salad is $8...but the ceasar salad in the premade box is $7 and over twice the size of the $8 one! That makes no sense whatsoever! They also increased their slices of coconut cake from $6 to $8.50, as well as upped the prices on all the deserts. They used to put heart and effort into their food. I know that they were incredibly busy, but we love this place so much, and to get a promise that the calzone would be packed with the fillings, but have it be nowhere close to how I was informed that it would...we were just very disappointed. This is the third time that hes ordered this and they skimped on the ingredients. I hope that they address these issues, otherwise, one of our favorite restaurants, and longstanding family traditions of eating here will no longer be in the cards for us...which would be just heartbreaking for me. Photos of calzone included in this post **ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW** We have been coming here for years. My Nana and I used to eat downstairs all the time. Now, my hubby and I order takeout from here constantly. Now we found out that we can make our own pizzas at home with their products! YAY! We are so excited to try it! PS...they have vodka in skulls for sale right now! HOORAAAY!
Our meal was delicious. The eggplant parmigiana was delicious as was the ravioli and spaghetti and meatballs. The service was slow that was the only hiccup. Food was delicious
the place is nice although not fancy but the food is spectacular. the artichoke with crispy prosciutto and the sausage stuffed mushrooms were unique. The veal Marsala and the pasta with sausage amazing . The service has been good although little slow. Good prices . Nice and well stocked the Italian market at the bottom
Fried calamari was delicious. The pasta dish we had was not great. No flavor or taste. Pasta could have been cooked another 30 seconds. It ended up in the trash.
First time diners at Antonios and we drove there from Windermere after seeing Orlando Magazine awarded them "Best Italian" recently. The good - food was delicious - no complaints but portions were smaller than expected and nothing left to take away. The ok was the atmosphere upstairs in the main restaurant. The carpeting looks old, windows and plastic covers on the balcony need replaced. The vibe was much more modern, alive and enhanced in the basement, casual restaurant. I wanted to write this review a few weeks ago but had a medical issue and I was going to say Bella Tuscany in Windermere is another good option. But before I could write it they announced bankruptcy and now Armandos in College Patk has closed...bottom line people - get out and support our local Italian restaurants!! Antonios was pretty empty on a Saturday night!
Visited Antonio's in the upstairs restaurant - They have a Cafe and Italian market downstairs - and we did enjoy our dinner. They serve toasted and lightly seasoned bread with an olive oil dip. The bread has a dense and chewy inside with a very crunchy crust. Personally felt the crust was a bit too crunchy. We started with Caesar salads. At $11, it was no different than a Caesar salad you'd find elsewhere. The dressing was different - thinner, and more tangy than a creamy Caesar - but the portion, flavor, or embellishments didn't justify the $11 price to me. HOWEVER, their prices of entrees felt very affordable for the quality and portion sizes. To the point where it was almost a shock given the reputation of this restaurant. The entrees were phenomenal. We both loved our meals, I had the pappardelle with salmon on cream sauce, she had the chicken piccata extra capers served over pasta instead of with vegetable and potatos. Well prepared, plated beautifully. The salmon was perfectly cooked. Most places overcook the salmon before plating - and this was spot on. I'd absolutely recommend Antonio's. 4 star because the decor and ambiance didn't feel more upscale. It's nice. It's comparable to another local Italian spot we eat at (except the chairs are definitely more comfortable and easier to sit in at Antonio's). Considering the food quality, spot near the lake, and the fact that there is a downstairs Cafe, I just expected more intimacy and ambiance in the dining area. But don't let that say bad. Just kinda... let down? We'll be back, for sure!
It had been on my list to try and stopped by at the cafe to get some lunch. The staff is attentive and happy to make suggestions. I was seated and it took a bit of time to get my server to come and to later take my order. Then it took a very long time to get my food and not sure why. I ordered a caesar salad with chicken (which it should had been easier than an entreeto make) and it was good. Fresh, made to order, good dressing and the chicken flavorful. They have a good selection and you can browse the market after you finish your meal.
It felt like dining at a random corner trattoria in Rome. The food is solid and the vibe is almost surreal. You are surrounded by wines, Italian groceries and happy locals of Maitland. The server is very hospitable and attentive. I visited this awesome place because I saw the name from Infatuation’s top 25 Orlando restaurants. I am not sure about this claim though.
Small restaurant but tasteful food, they also have a mini market with a bunch of Italian products. They have a great selection of olive oil and wine, but pricey but you can’t find anywhere else. I had spaghetti with meatballs, good, don’t know if they have garlic bread and we were not offered either, their pasta pairs really nice with some garlic bread. Worth the visit
Came here for a business lunch and the experience was a mix of good and bad. I ordered the chicken parm with spaghetti from the lunch menu — flavor was solid and it was cooked well, just note the portions are on the smaller side. The restaurant was quiet and not busy, which made it a good spot for conversation, and the staff was polite and welcoming. However, the service felt rushed. Even though the place was nearly empty, our server kept coming by every few minutes asking if we were done or needed a to-go box — this started barely 30 minutes into the meal. It made the lunch feel rushed and a bit uncomfortable, especially since business lunches normally take closer to an hour. Overall, good food, nice workers, clean and calm environment, but the pacing of service needs improvement. Would consider coming back, but hope they ease up on pushing guests out the door.
We bought prepared food items from the market. The prices were incredibly high. $20 for a slice of cold lasagna that I have to heat up at home just seems like too much. The food however was delicious and made me feel like maybe it was worth it. That was until I found eggshells in my eggplant parm and a short curly hair in my meatballs. We won't be going back.
Update: Antonio's has became our regular place for Italian. Atmosphere and food are top notch but lately our service and the blatant price gouging has turned us away. A six dollar up charge on swapping sauces on Parmesan chicken is beyond ridiculous. We always get an appetizer, entrees, drinks, and desert. My lasagna didn't taste fresh, tasted like it was a frozen and reheated. Quality seems to have fallen in the last couple of months. Previous review:5 stars Our lunch was wonderful, the atmosphere the story the deli, and the market, and restaurant all rolled into one. Our server was on point and very polite and made us very welcome to be there and helped our experience along by guiding us through the menu and the history behind Antonio's, I cannot for the life of me remember her name but I remember she said she is from Maitland and had been eating there for most of her life. We got garlic bread to start and it was what you wanted from cheesy garlic bread, for lunch I tried the lasagna which as a chef and foody I would consider it in my top 3 lasagne I've had. The girlfriend said the same about her parm chicken. We opted for desert and I had the tiramusu while the girlfriend had cake. The server enlightened us that the cake isn't made in house but from a manufacturer that they've been using for years. The tiramusu was probably the best I've had and the girlfriend loves her chocolate cake and said it tastes homemade, so big win. We live about 40/45 minutes away but we'll be back.
The chairs are too close. You hear the person sitting next to you. The pizza's base is mushy. They need to precook the dough on a very hot surface. Those guys don't know how to cook pizza.
The environment is nice and staff friendly. They have two levels, the first one is market and restaurant, and level two is only a restaurant but the hours that is open are very short, so better you call there before. The menu I have is for the first floor. Spaghetti was ok, meatball soft and taste. Bruschetta was good. Pizza gluten free ok. Shrimp fettuccine was delicious. Chicken pasta was ok. Chocolate mousse was very bland. Coconut cake was ok.
We haven’t been to Antonio’s upstairs in years. We had a nice time with family and our service was terrific. The food was just ok, It needs to be updated to 2025 standards for the prices. Also the restaurant is dated. The vibe was happy and we had a nice time. However we won’t be back unless it gets a refresh.
We had a 7:15 dinner reservation and was not served dinner until 8:45 p.m. The restaurant was overcrowded and noisy. Service was slow and we almost left before the meal was served. We are members of the Interlocken Country Club & we were looking to return to one of our old favorite restaurants. Although, we were very disappointed and will rethink about revisiting in the future. It was a birthday celebration & the cake was preordered and it was never served to us before we left. We were so annoyed we just didn't even bother addressing the cake and left.
We visited Antonio's in Maitland to celebrate our grandmother's 83rd birthday with a party of 12. Upon arrival, we had high expectations based on the positive reviews and the inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience started on a disappointing note with the appetizers. I ordered the bruschetta, which lacked flavor, with ice-cold tomatoes that detracted from the dish. The Caesar salad also fell short, featuring bland flavors and cold chicken that seemed to be pulled from a rotisserie, leaving much to be desired. When it came to our entrees, the experience was mixed. While some in our party ordered basics like fettuccine Alfredo, which were acceptable, those who opted for the specials were quite disappointed. The steak special was mostly fat, with split mashed potatoes, and the special pasta was essentially buttered penne with pepper and a few mushrooms, lacking any real flavor. The accompanying meat was overcooked to the point of being beyond well done. When we expressed our concerns to the servers, their response was less than satisfactory, marked by irritation and no apology. However, when we spoke with the manager, they were apologetic and removed the disappointing entrees from our check. Overall, based on this evening's experience, I wouldn't recommend Antonio's. Despite the promising reviews and pleasant atmosphere, the quality of the food and the initial response from the staff left us quite dissatisfied.
Disappointed from our Valentine’s Day experience last night. Service was awful. The girl was very nice. Don’t even know her name as she didn’t tell us. I don’t think she spoke more than 20 words to us the entire night. I ordered the strip steak and it quite honestly was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had- it was so darn dry. Luckily my boyfriend switched meals with me and the pork tenderloin was 10/10; which is the only reason this review gets 2 stars. Waitress never came over and asked how everything was. I don’t think she had more than 6 tables unless she was in a different room which being all 2 tops there’s no way she was overwhelmed. Had a 730 reservation, didn’t seat until 8pm, I think we sat at the table for a good 10 minutes before we had our waitress come to our table. For $200 and a $30 tip it is beyond ridiculous and a huge thumbs down. We dined downstairs a few months ago and had a 5 star experience, and I wish we would have just went downstairs last night instead of paying for overpriced food and horrible service. No managers walking around to touch tables to see how everyone was doing. Food took about 50 minutes which is also ridiculous. Dessert was not good either. I would have been better off going to Longhorn for steak. At least it’s juicy.
Larga espera, de cuatro platos devolvimos 2. El cordero seco. La verdad es que no creo volver a ir. La mesera excelente. Del resto creo que pueden mejorar.
I rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience was beyond disappointing. We went to this restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and what should’ve been a special night turned into a complete letdown. I will start by saying this was a slow Tuesday evening with maybe 1/3 of the restaurant occupied. We waited over an hour for our food—no exaggeration. By the time it was finally ready, we had to ask for everything to be boxed up just so we wouldn’t miss our next event. The server and floor manager did apologize, but that was it. The floor manger stated that there were other tables that's been waiting before us too. So they were over a hour as well. No effort to make things right, no discount, nothing. I spent $150 on food we had to eat hours later and mostly in the car. When I finally opened my salad, I realized I had been charged $8 to “add chicken” and got maybe a few tiny strips—barely a quarter of a chicken breast. For that price, it felt insulting. If this is considered great service and quality, then standards have really dropped. For what we paid and what we went through, Olive Garden would’ve been a far better experience—faster service, better portions, and actual hospitality. This was supposed to be a special night for my wife, and instead, it turned into a frustrating, overpriced disappointment.
I went to this Italian restaurant with my family and friends, and the experience was very disappointing due to the attitude of one of the managers (he seemed to only be in charge of the wine). First, when my father arrived and was simply looking around the small market area, this manager started following him around for no reason, making him feel uncomfortable. Later, while I was sitting with my friends, one of them showed me a short video on his phone, and this same manager started knocking on the wall to rudely reprimand us, saying we couldn’t watch videos. Afterwards, I noticed a small sticker on the wall that mentioned not using phones with loud speakers. If this had been communicated politely, or explained as a house policy, we would have respected it. But the arrogant and harsh attitude of this manager completely ruined the visit. We will not be coming back, and I do not recommend this restaurant. The customer service is very poor. As a final note, I strongly recommend management show this manager some extra love, or maybe just pour him a good glass of wine so he can finally relax
After weeks of craving a chicken parm I ordered from this location and received the driest sandwich ive ever had in my life. Almost no cheese or sauce and the chicken breast was overcooked. Extremely disappointed.
My wife and I decided to go to this white glove Italian restaurant. Just to let you know we are both Italian and come from New York. From the appetizers to the main course, all I can say is they should be ashamed calling this Italian food. The stuffed artichokes look like they were burnt and I could not figure out any of the flavors. I was recommended by the way to to order capellini D'Angelo another total disappointment. I've had better Italian food in New York in a pizza parlor. After reading some of the reviews of people's dating four and five star, apparently people in Florida don't know what Italian food is supposed to be like. I would be ashamed to serve this food from my kitchen. Good luck to all that try.
With regards to my post on the issue with the deli meats, I want to thank Mr. Gentile for his response and for addressing the issue and fixing the problem. We truly appreciate your kindness. I went to Antonio's yesterday and purchased half a pound of Speck, Prosciutto di Parma and Bresaola. The manager did not know how to cut the meats, so he got the chef from the downstairs kitchen. I told the chef I wanted the slices cut paper thin as they should be. The deli slicer was not working, so the chef took the meats in the kitchen were he said they have new deli slicer, so I wan unable to see the slices prior to being purchased. I just opened the packages and all the meats are extremely cut thick. This is my second time purchasing deli meats and my last. If you are going to offer a deli service then the owner needs to have personnel trained on how to properly cut the deli meats.
Let’s start! Second floor supposed to be upscale restaurant! No top of the line service for top of the line price. We had table for four people so when we walked in my spouse didn’t have a place for her purse. Feels like the fast food place service. At least in McDonald’s she would have extra chair. they should offer stand for the hand back if the are upscale! . Fried calamari appetizer was bad fried, Oakwood salmon was so salty I couldn’t taste salmon. Tiramisu dessert I couldn’t eat second spoon. Gelato ice cream was awful. Chief probably have no taste receptors. This place should just sell pizzas as a fast food and that’s it! Very disappointing and regret paying $300 plus tips. I would prefer to go golden corral to serve my own food!
Summary: overpriced, bland food, dusty frames The food was disappointing and overpriced. I ordered the chef’s special “carne” featuring a bland steak seared on one side only, served atop chunky mashed potatoes that lacked refinement. While the plating was average, the sauce was flavorless, and the sides were okay. Additionally, a dusty framed painting next to my desk table raised concerns about cleanliness, further detracting from the experience. I provided my feedback to our server who notified the manager, who offered a free dessert. For a “fine dining” experience and $105 bill, I expected more. I do not recommend.
Brought the family for a dinner upstairs. As long as you order pasta you're probably going to be ok. I ordered the filet and ask our server to have it prepared between medium and medium rare. It was delivered to the table blue, which is less than medium rare to say the least. The filet was already glazed and topped with micro greens and the server suggested to have it put back on the grill. The front end hostess also had the same reply. Both appeared to be apprehensive to advise the line cook that they didn't properly prepare the filet. What wa supposed to be an enjoyable dinner with the family turned out to be very disappointing.
The place was a letdown. The waitress did a phenomenal job but everything else missed the mark. We called for reservations for the restaurant but they sat us at the market. The food was mid, not great but not terrible. It did not matched the prices. We ordered food, plenty of drinks and desserts. We also had a member with a birthday and we brought a cake that was her favorite. They wanted to charge us $3 per person for us to be able to cut our own cake. We cancelled the desserts and left. I dont quite understand why the restaurant has so many good reviews but its misleading.
