Un lugar emblemático para disfrutar de churros como los de antes. Están riquísimos y te transportan directamente a la infancia. Los camareros son súper rápidos y muy profesionales. En Málaga cada vez quedan menos sitios genuinos debido al turismo, así que este es, sin duda, una parada obligatoria. ¡Lo recomiendo 100%!

Los mejores churros y chocolate que he comido en Málaga, cerca de la plaza de abastos y a 2 minutos de la calle Larios, tiene comedor interior grande y terraza enorme, muy buen servicio te atiende súper rápido con amabilidad.

El local tiene ese encanto clásico que no se encuentra fácilmente en otros sitios. Sin duda, Casa Aranda es una parada obligatoria si visitas Málaga. Casa Aranda es una institución en Málaga desde 1932. Esta histórica churrería es el lugar perfecto para disfrutar del auténtico desayuno malagueño: chocolate caliente espeso y churros recién hechos. El chocolate es denso, rico y se sirve en grandes cálices que permiten mojar los crujientes churros. El ambiente es tradicional y auténtico, con un bullicio que te transporta a otra época. Very busy place but the service is extremely fast and well organized. Despite the big crowd, everything runs smoothly. The hot chocolate is thick, sweet but not overpowering. The churros are large, slightly salty and a bit oily and taste amazing when dipped in the chocolate. Definitely worth a visit 😊

Casa Aranda is absolutely worth a visit in Málaga! The churros were incredibly delicious. Crispy, fresh, and not greasy at all. The hot chocolate was perfectly thick and rich, pairing amazingly well with the churros without being overly sweet. The staff was friendly, and there are plenty of tables both inside and outside, so finding a seat was no problem. It’s a classic spot that truly lives up to its reputation!

One of the popular places to have Churros. We went 30 mins before closing and they were still busy. This places is massive with seating all along the street. I must say I am not a big fan of the Andalusian Churros which are thicker than the more familar thin Churros, but it's a personal preference. However it was served hot and tasted very good. The hot chocolate served was not too sweet and was a perfect accompaniment. Would suggest to try it when in Malaga.

One of the best places for churros and chocolate in Malaga. The churros are not the thin variety, more like the thicker porras. They are constantly making fresh ones since it is so busy so your order will be hot and crispy. Great for dipping into a nice rich and deep cup of chocolate. They are open for the morning, closed for siesta, then open again until night. Tables fill up extremely quickly so there is always a queue. They do have a lot of overflow tables across the way (and one large area was closed when we went (Oct 2025) so it can be packed. Most people don’t stay long and ordering is fast and efficient (you’ll get your order within a few minutes).

Went there on my last day of the trip and it was so good I regret not going sooner! Spanish churros are something else. They are airy and light and the chocolate you can order with it complements the churro perfectly without being too heavy. I already miss it! Apart from churros love the wide range of coffee options and the savoury ham sandwhich was good too.

Casa Aranda serves hands down the best churros con chocolate I’ve ever tried. The churros are perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and always served fresh and piping hot. The chocolate sauce is more like a rich, liquid hot chocolate – smooth, not too thick – and it pairs beautifully with the churros. The combination is simply addictive! The ambiance of the place is also a highlight. It has a cozy, authentic Málaga-Spanish charm with so much character. I especially loved just sitting there, soaking in the atmosphere and watching people pass by – it’s the kind of spot that invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Málaga. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Fresh, crispy and delicious! .. this spot serves the best churros in town. The chocolate is creamy, delicious and lip smacking good. Their cappuccino was equally good as well. Cafetería mítica de Málaga, al lado del Café Central, dispone de múltiples espacios para desayunar. Su especialidad son los churros, (porras en Madrid). Me sorprendieron los precios de los bocadillos por ser “económicos”, pero luego ya descubrí el motivo, el jamón era de pegatina…el café un poco regular, y los churros, mejorables.

El lugar tiene mucho encanto. Probamos el churro, y el churro madrileño. Como tal el churro a pesar de su gran tamaño no es tan leñador ya que en si el relleno no es tan masudo, pero tiene una gran textura. A diferencia del churro madrileño, aunque sea más pequeño es mucho más masudo, pero está más crudito. No sabría decir cuál me gusta más, cada uno tiene su encanto. Comer estos churros sin chocolate es imperdonable, le aporta mucha textura, sabor, y te lo sirven bien calienta. Es un muy buen chocolate. Y el café es muy bueno, no espectacular, pero es un café bien servido. En general buena experiencia con buen servicio. Pero no son los mejores churros que he probado. 7.3/10

An extremely busy place, whether you go in the morning or in the evening, it’s hard to find a free table. The staff don’t stop for even a second. The churros are bigger than I’m used to, but they’re fresh and tasty. The chocolate seemed not very sweet to me. But what I appreciated the most: a homeless man sat down across from us, and the staff brought him a full bag of churros with chocolate, which he clearly enjoyed. It was very touching.

Famoso en Málaga por sus “churros” (que son porras para los madrileños). Pese a que los desayunos están muy buenos (tanto los churros como sus bocadillos, de tamaño perfecto para desayunar), las tres estrellas son porque: 1. Se forman bastantes colas para acceder, puedes tardar en sentarte, y desde el local no las controlan mucho (estuvimos un buen rato y pasaban sin mirarte, preguntarte…). 2. No hay que ser brusco y borde por el hecho de tener mucha gente, se puede dar un servicio rápido y con gracia.

We visited this churros place with high expectations after seeing their very high rating on Google, but honestly it felt a bit overrated. The chocolate sauce is definitely made from cacao, yet the flavor wasn’t as enjoyable as we hoped. Prices are slightly above what you usually pay elsewhere, and overall the experience didn’t feel particularly special.

Sorry, I came here because it’s famous, but compared to other places we’ve tried, the chocolate served with the churros was disappointing. The color was very light, more like a cocoa pudding than rich hot chocolate. The churros themselves were fine, but the chocolate sauce was weak and lacked flavor.

I visited Casa Aranda because I couldn’t locate the Christmas pop-up stand I normally go to and, based on its popularity and reputation, this seemed like a safe alternative. As I’ve since been reminded, popularity doesn’t necessarily mean best. I always order the larger, thicker variety of churro — the type often known as porras or tejeringos — because they have more substance and, when done properly, should be lighter inside and less oily. Here, that expectation wasn’t met. I ordered two batches. Both were extremely greasy — something you could tell just by looking at them. The oiliness was obvious before tasting. The two batches were also inconsistent, with the second one clearly overcooked, darker than it should have been, which only made the greasiness worse. I had requested sugar with my order, but that was forgotten. Forgetting something so simple means added waiting time, and churros cool down quickly, so it’s unacceptable. I did manage to flag someone down to ask again, but no priority was given at all, even though it was obvious I already had my churros in front of me and they were getting colder by the second. In the end, I had to get up and go and get the sugar myself. And when I did, it was only available in small sachets, which felt more inconvenient than welcoming. Because of how oily the churros were, the oil completely overpowered the delicate flavour of the dough itself. Instead of tasting the churro, all you tasted was the oil. Because I eat my churros plain with just a sprinkle of sugar, there’s nowhere for flaws to hide. Texture, oil quality, and consistency matter most to me, and this was a let-down on all three counts. The oil felt tired, the frying uneven, and the end result heavy rather than crisp. For a place with such a strong reputation, the inconsistency and oiliness were disappointing. Based on this visit, I wouldn’t return.
