Un buen restaurante tranquilo y bien situado. La ensaladilla rusa y el flamenquin acompañado de una caña te hacen pasar una tarde estupenda y reposar después de tomar un buen café.

Warm welcome and very friendly staff We got recommendations and reservation from Hotel Miramar Great place just like we wanted! Great tapas! The perfect place to eat in Malaga! The food is amazing, the people is super nice - Marcos is really friendly - and they have gluten free options!! If you ask for gluten free bread, they will give you and you can ask for the ligeritas (spanish tapas) gluten free too, besides almost all of the menu is gluten free. For sure we’ll be coming back!!

Great service and excellent food quality. I've been waiting to eat coquinas for years and they were absolutely delicious. The waiters were very professional and knew the menu/off menu food really well, so they were great offering us plates information and alternatives to missing items of the menu. Mi primera vez en este restaurante y me encantó. Fuimos a la barra a por unas cervezas y ya estando allí decidimos comer algo porque ya era hora de la cena. Aprovechamos y pedimos una ración de ensaladilla rusa, una ración de boquerones al vinagre y una tapa de caracoles. Todo con presentación y sabores buenos. Es una de las mejores ensaladillas rusas. Va mucha gente y he visto que mejor llamar y reservar una mesa. Respecto a los precios, no repetiría muy seguido, ya que no es tan económico pero sí que vale la pena probar y de acuerdo a tu presupuesto decidir y dejo una foto del recibo para que tengan referencia. El personal de la barra muy amable y atento. El aseo limpio y tienen terraza y el local no es muy grande. Está en una planta baja por lo que no habría inconvenientes para personas con movilidad reducida.

Fuimos un grupo de 5 amigos a cenar con reserva previa, algo indispensable, ya que suele estar lleno. Pedimos platos para compartir, desde una exquisita ensaladilla rusa,pasando por unos huevos rotos con trufa y foie(algo caros y escasos), una porra de antequera , ideal para estos días de calor ,y unos pescados para compartir, quedándome con la ventresca de atún. En general se come muy bien,solo destacar que tiene precios un poco elevados,sobretodo en la vinoteca.

Excelente calidad de comida y servicio. El problema es que está siempre lleno y la gente habla a gritos. Gracias a un magnífico camarero que me instaló en el exterior pude disfrutar de una comida buenísima.

Okay... let's start by saying the place is considered posh and high end. However.... for God sakes... for the cost of the food, it should have a functioning toilet door. And the toilet sear itself should also be replaced. I do not go to a place where the entrees are around 30 euros for a shit toilet. The solomillo was delicous... however the plate of sauce was chipped. When you are considered posh... use better plates. Please look if the plate is clean... I had to return a plate because it was oily and clearly not washed properly. The service could have been better though I understand since the place was packed... it's hard to serve everyone with the same energy. Most of the plates were good. Though looking at cost... some are overpriced like the alcachofas which needed better seasoning. The croquettes were good,though I have had better. The ensaladilla was not at all as good as you would expect. Hand made mayo good... the rest... we could just taste the mayo and potatoes. Zero carrots o anything else. We have tried truffle salt in ensaladillas with the same price tag in not posh places. You can see the absurd amount of mayo. Would I return, yes, but to see if things improved, as I always do. Because I can't base my opinion on one time only. However there is a lot to be desired.

Had an amazing dinner last night, spoiled by hospitality and service… After spending 167€, by the end of the meal and 45min before closing, I was refused an espresso as the machine was already switched off… And the only justification I got was that the boss (la jefa as the waiter said) ordered to do so… Such a lame answer and because of a stupid coffee the meal was ruined… The restaurant also has a bad acoustic as you can hear all the conversations of other tables! Food was very good with excellent levels of cooking and top ingredients, though!

This restaurant has been one of our favourites for several years and although it’s a hour drive to get there it’s always been worth it . Loved the experience of sitting at the bar eating & drinking great food & wine and fabulous service from Miguel , his wife & Marco and several more great staff over the years. However the last couple of visits have not been brilliant hence we haven’t been for ( there are lots & lots of other great restaurants in Malaga ! ) 6 months. So this evening we drove to Malaga in anticipation of a great evening at the bar . Wow were we disappointed. The place states it opens at 8pm and we arrived at 7-45 ( previously it’s never been a problem to be a few minutes early & always received a warm welcome & have seat at the bar until we are ready which for us is fine ) , there was a group of 4 sitting at the bar having drinks so thought it would not be a problem. However we were greeted by a waiter ( guy with thick beard ) whose manner was terrible, we are shut he stated , we explained we understood and were content to just sit & wait til they were ready but we got a even worse reaction ( we speak Spanish so fully understood what he was saying) at which point a guy in the group of 4 drinking at the suddenly said he was the owner & could we leave ( they were cleaning apparently) & return in 30 mins when maybe the offer to have a seat outside & take a drink would of been a good idea !! Now after 40 years of working at a high level of a service industry this is absolutely No way to treat clients, so we left , walked 30 metres around the corner to a different restaurant where the welcome was warm & friendly & the food utterly delicious, best turbot I’ve eaten . So to summarise, I’m not sure what has changed here , maybe a change of ownership but for us tonight , sorry El Refectorium you really blew it .

La comida y el ambiente buenos. El servicio, a la hora de pagar cobraron de más y, aunque lo advertimos, nos quitaron algo de la cuenta pero no todo; por ejemplo por media ración de jamón, cuyo plato completo eran 28€, nos cobraron 22 por la media ración, protestamos y nos lo bajaron a 20; media de setas, que eran 14, nos cobraron 10 por la media ración. Además, las medias raciones muy escasas. Los vinos, que siempre los han cobrado a 5 € la copa de Ribera, ese día fueron a 6 €. Muy descontentos en general, abusaron en el precio, algo que se está convirtiendo en regla general en muchos sitios de Málaga.

La materia prima, es decir los alimentos, es excelente y en su punto. Por el contrario el servicio es lamentable por no decir chulesco. Y no creo que sea la culpa de los chicos sino que parece que nadie les ha dicho nunca que el que se sienta en la mesa es un cliente, que paga además por un servicio y que por lo tanto está en su derecho de esperar un trato más profesional y menos campechano… En resumen : el precio es el de un restaurante « elegante », la comida de calidad, pero el trato y el griterío son los propios de una lamentable tasca.

​Buena propuesta culinaria, pero el ambiente no está a la altura. Las constantes interrupciones externas para la venta de flores rompen totalmente la atmósfera de lo que debería ser una cena agradable.
