Bar Pico Paloma Maliaño Reviews
Calidad precio, un lugar recomendable para comer. Servicio agradable y atento.
Torrija espectacular. Un sitio de 10 . Poco aparcamiento. 😅 pero lo importante todo cojonudo
Without a doubt, the latest and greatest discovery in the Santander area. In a quiet spot, next to the airport and overlooking the bay, we enjoyed some of the best squid, without a doubt. The spider crab croquettes were exceptional, and the black rice was wonderful. Excellent service. As always, it was a quiet place we went to with kids. Easy parking. We'll be back.
Excellent food, service and ambience. Perfect!
The €25 set menu is generous, with four courses, but it has its pros and cons. The bonito had a slightly unpleasant ammonia note (though it was edible thanks to the combination of flavors and sauces), and the boneless rib had tendons that I wasn't expecting, which were quite unpleasant to chew and remove. Finding the same pickled onion in two dishes was also noteworthy; I understand it might be the chef's signature, and while it didn't bother me, it did catch my eye. The service is very friendly and the best thing about the place. The airport views are just okay; when planes are flying overhead (which isn't very frequent—I didn't hear any when I was there), the noise becomes deafening, and having the windows open encourages mosquitoes and flies to get in, so you spend the whole meal swatting them away. The facilities are very clean, parking is easy, and the price is reasonable. I'll definitely return when I'm in the area, and I'm sure I can give them five stars next time.
A restaurant located in a very quiet, cozy spot with a casual atmosphere. It has a small cafeteria, but its main selling point is its large glass-fronted dining room (where you have a great view), great lighting, and excellent cleanliness. It also has a large terrace with sun and shade (a sliding awning), and a quieter, green area in the back. Both the staff and the service were attentive and professional, serving us on the terrace. I visited it looking for a quiet place to have a drink with friends, and it met my expectations.
Restaurant located near Punta Parayas, right in front of the Parayas Club. There's limited parking around the restaurant, but if you go 200 meters further on, you'll find a large parking area. The star dish is the paellas. Large and varied in flavor. The house specialty is the prawn and cacho paella, which comes with a menu that includes Caesar salad and pâté (I substituted some delicious squid rings for the kids), dessert, and a drink, all for €25 per person. The portions are quite large, and the paella for two was enough for the two adults and two children. The desserts are delicious, but a bit limited. Great views of Severiano Ballesteros Airport and the Bay of Santander. Spacious dining room with large windows. Very attentive and friendly staff. In the back, there's a small meadow with a basket for the children to play in (idea for improvement: add swings and slides to that area).
Located on the outskirts of Santander with unobstructed views of the airport from the dining room. The facilities are good, as it's on the ground floor and includes a bar and terrace in addition to the restaurant. The dining room is very pleasant and spacious, and the glass walls let in plenty of natural light. The food is well-prepared, specializing in rice dishes. The service is very professional. A good choice.
I've been to this restaurant a few times, usually in a group of five to seven people. There are plenty of traditional dishes with a modern twist. You can dine outside on the terrace or inside. They also organize large celebrations. If you're going to order a cocktail, wait until after 2, as their cocktail artist doesn't arrive before that.
The menu is a bit overpriced, but very tasty. We ordered squid as a snack and tuna with marmite cream for a friend, who found it very tasty. For another friend and me, we ordered shredded oxtail tacos in red wine sauce, which was also very tasty. We didn't like the detail of a waitress randomly handing out pintxos to tables. The cheesecake was tasty but a little warm.
