I never went here before, decided to get takeout today. My first bite into my orange chicken I was in awe. So crispy and tasty. Everything else is equally as good. Amazing!! Will definitely be going back

Well I finally found where the good Chinese food is! It’s been years since I’ve had Chinese food this good. I even wanted the leftovers and craved more. Holy shamolee the chicken is tender, the pork fried rice is banging and the dumplings were rolling! I’d take a picture but we ate it all!!!!

Customer here for many years and still the best takeout I’ve had in Upstate anywhere. Tastes right to me every time so I’m on a roll folks. Thanks No 1 Kitchen for No Nonsense and Great Meals!

Great food, amazing portions and price. We've had Chinese fare from Hong Kong and Taiwan and even my mom (an amazing chef herself) appreciated this food and the incredible prices. Support these folks as restaurant life is not an easy one and they recently were harassed due to the advent of Covid.

Best hot and sour soup ever! So good, lots of stuff in it. All their food is quite good and way better than the place down the street.

We frequent this establishment atleast once or twice a month and while it’s always a 4 out of 5, today was most definitely a 5! We had General Tso chicken, sesame chicken and kung pao chicken combo platters for all (3). The crispy chicken was done so well and it all was very flavorful. This is the only place I order my Chinese takeout.

Absolutely love this restaurant. One of the best in the entire area! I get the fried dumplings and the beef & broccoli meal with lo mein. It comes with an egg roll as well all under $15 which is a great deal. The staff are super nice and passionate about their food.

I live in the complex behind this place but since have moved far away. Whenever we go to Syracuse for any reason we stop in and get our old usual. Recently a lady stopped me coming out with food and asked if it was good, I replied "Doesnt say #2 kitchen for a reason" ive been on this planet 40 years, theres no better place.

My fiancé is from the Syracuse area and I'm from Charlotte, NC and we just moved to Manlius in August. The first thing we did was try this place out and we LOVE it. The family that owns and runs this place are so kind and hard working they even know me by name! And they know that my fiancé always asks for extra dry noodles for the wonton soup I don't even have to ask anymore! The food is absolutely delicious we've never had a bad meal from this place. I've tried multiple meals from this restaurant and all have been cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. We've tried a few other places around the area but we always end up getting No1 Kitchen because it's just that good and very affordable. If you're looking for the best Chinese food in the area this is it!! I can't say enough good things about this place. Thank you to everyone who works there for always being kind and all that you do for us in the community!

This little family-run business is a great find! The food was fresh and delicious and plentiful! The pork with Chinese vegetables had many pieces of tender pork with no fat or gristle. The vegetables were delicious and included homegrown zucchini. The pupu platter was huge! And, it included one of my favorites, shrimp toast, which many other places don’t offer anymore. The prices are very reasonable, running a few dollars less than what we’ve paid elsewhere. I think we have a new favorite!

Delicious! I’m super picky about Chinese food and love that sticky, yummy, flavorful Chinese food and I’ve tried everywhere locally and this place is amazing. The general Tso and sweet and sour chicken is amazing. My husband really likes their pork fried rice too. Can’t wait to try new menu items.

There are two Chinese food restaurants within walking distance of each other in Manlius. #1 Kitchen, and China Cafe. As someone new to the Manlius area and looking for the best option, I prefer #1 Kitchen. I ordered the same meal from both places; Sesame Chicken, rice, veggie spring roll, and crab Rangoon. #1 Kitchen had better sesame chicken and rice, but China Cafe has better Crab Rangoon and spring rolls. I would first like to say that I have been ordering from this place since moving back to the area since 2015. it has become one of the favorite Chinese takeout places for my family and we order just about every Christmas day. The last couple of times we ordered online and then went to go pick up was not the worst experience but it could’ve been better. Whether you are ordering for an ASAP pick up or a custom time… You expect your order to be ready at the given time. Now, again, I know that it is Christmas Day, everyone had the same idea and I don’t mind waiting a few extra minutes but… We placed our order before 4 PM for a 5 PM pick up. We get to the place right at 5 PM, but waited a couple of minutes in the car as we saw it was jam packed in there. My kids and I made our way into the restaurant and stood in line waiting for our turn to pick up our food. Once I got to the counter, there was a child (usually is) taking everyone’s payment and asking for their name or last four digits of their phone number, as well as if they called their order in or was it placed online. It took her a while to find my order , but once she found it, she told me it was not ready yet. OK, perfectly fine. Our total for the food was $90 even. I included the tip into the total so it would round up to the $90. We gave her $50 in cash and we told her to put the rest on our card. The little girl tried to tell me that she was going to charge the card $44 and some change because of the tip. I tried to explain to her that the tip was already in there and she tried to argue with me a little bit. I had to literally take out my phone and show my receipt which showed the tax and the tip included and that is when she realize that she needed to only charge my card $40. That was a little annoying. I don’t know if she really didn’t understand at first, was trying to pull a fast one, and how many other people does she charge extra… But whatever. It is my personal opinion that you should not be leaving a child to handle the payments. I go to the back of the restaurant where my kids were at this point and sit at the table waiting for my name to be called. Tons of people are loading in still to pick up their orders. As time goes by I am noticing that people that came behind me were getting their food sooner. Now, I don’t know when they called or placed their online order. I just know that at 5:40 PM I was tired of waiting and I got up to ask how long it was going to take for our order to be done, especially since we placed it at 4 PM for a 5 PM pick up. The mother at that point told me it was going to be another 15 minutes. Are you serious right now?! I am livid because this is absolutely ridiculous. I don’t know if my order just didn’t get done or if they just kept putting it to the side? My kids and I did not walk out of that restaurant with our food until 5:55 PM. It’s unfortunate that we won’t be doing business with them anymore because I don’t pay for terrible service.

When I called to tell them what was wrong with the order they wouldn't listen they said it was right she talked to someone in the back in her native language which is fine and she said it was fine.
