Beautiful, stylish café/bistro on a quiet side street in the heart of Mantua. Excellent cappuccino and croissants. Pastries and snacks are also available. You can sit comfortably outside. Dogs are allowed. Very friendly staff. We'd be happy to return. (April 2025)

Discovered by chance, quietly located in a side street near the historic center. A truly great café/bar with outdoor tables and cozy indoor seating. Cappuccino and croissant, both very good. They offer light meals, snacks, and pastries. Cocktails, of course. Friendly service. Dogs are also welcome. (April 2025)

A must! Just a bar… but… Further away from the hustle and bustle of the historic center - just 2 minutes on a nice quiet street. We ordered 2 Spritz and look what came with them!

We were looking for a less touristy and crowded place, and we found it in this splendid historic Art Nouveau café with inlaid wood and marble furniture. Besides the delightful ambiance, the coffee was also excellent: the croissant and cappuccino were excellent. The ideal place for breakfast in an atmosphere without the crowds of the city center: highly recommended. Cappuccinos decorated like I've rarely seen!!

The place is cosy with one of best coffee in mantova. They also sell a lot of different sandwiches. The place is a bit pricy but worth visiting. It has a good location to historical sites. The place is accessible for the wheelchair users too. I took a prosciutto crudo which was amazing. Please do not toast it because you might kill all the flavours. At the time of the visit I was surrounded with local elderly Italians who were very loud mocking near by walking people so I had a lot of fun tough I do not speak Italian. Have fun at La Ducale.

Pausa pranzo in un posto un po' fuori dai circuiti turistici e, soprattutto, dove potessimo pranzare col nostro cane (un rottweiler). Ci siamo trovati bene ed il rapporto qualità prezzo è stato molto buono. Specialità tipiche e vino di qualità.

In centro storico locale piacevole con saletta interna e tavolini sulla via. Ottimo per colazioni, pausa caffè o tè o aperitivo. Personale cordiale.

A nice, quiet place with outdoor and indoor dining options. The staff is friendly, and the service is timely. I found the ingredients to be good, and the prices were in line with other restaurants. I recommend it.

Siamo stati un pomeriggio a prendere un thè... ottimo. Il personale gentile mentre alla cassa non si brilla per empatia. Magari un pò più di cortesia non guasterebbe. Prezzi medio alti

I had a breakfast here ordering a caffe and brioche. However, the brioche was stale, not crunchy. Unfortunately, it’s not tasty.

Personale a dir poco maleducato. Avevamo ordinato 2 caffè macchiati e un macchiatone quando al momento del servizio ci sono stati portati 2 macchiatoni e un macchiato (il contrario). Abbiamo fatto presente l’errore (che può capitare) alla barista la quale si è rivolta a noi ribadendo più volte che eravamo stati noi ad ordinare diversamente. Dopo di che abbiamo detto che avremo consumato lo stesso quello che ci era stato portato (e così poi è stato) quando un secondo barista, non interpellato, ci ha detto nuovamente, con tono prepotente e maleducato, di essere noi ad aver sbagliato affermando di “aver capito bene e quindi poter parlare”. Direi che il detto “il cliente ha sempre ragione”, indipendentemente se ce l’abbia o no, andrebbe rivisto. Un bacione 😘

Ci siamo recati per un aperitivo, un normale Crodino 4€ e Spritz Campari 6€, servito con una misera ciotola di patatine. Non è presente un menù nè un listino prezzi. Personale scortese e scocciato al momento di richiesta di un menù, che ovviamente non avevano. Alla richiesta di ulteriori patatine ci è stato risposto un “si” infastidito e non sono state servite. Pessima esperienza, alquanto vergognoso per un locale caratteristico in centro città.

Personale gentile cosa che non si può dire della proprietaria. Eravamo soliti il giovedì mattina fermarci per un caffè , specifico che eravamo una decina di persone ci è stato fatto presente che non si possono unire due tavolini, secondo lei una decina di caffè sono pochi per star seduti una mezzoretta....non ci sono problemi Mantova è piena di bar con esercenti rispettosi dei clienti, già trovato sostituto. Complimenti al personale invece il ragazzo che ci portava I caffè gentile è premuroso.

After I finished my meal, I asked for a glass of water. The bartender I spoke to asked me for a receipt, which was nothing to complain about. But when I asked if there wasn't a tap water tap, he replied in an arrogant and extremely rude tone that there were fountains outside.

Felt immediately unwelcome when they understood I don't speak italian. They did not make any effort to communicate in english. I showed them that I don't understand Italian and they just kept speaking Italian. Shame..
