We had the pleasure of celebrating part of our engagement at Holbox Magico and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the assistance and service were exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of, making our experience unforgettable. They even ordered roses from cancun and arranged a dedicated table for us. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was incredible, with a relaxing vibe and breathtaking views. We were also pleasantly surprised that the sunbeds were free of charge, adding to the overall value. Honestly, I don’t understand the negative reviews. Our experience was flawless, and I highly recommend Holbox Magico to anyone looking for an unforgettable beachside experience. Thank you for helping make our day so special!

This is an absolutely beautiful spot on Punta Coco. The beach, the surroundings, the atmosphere that they have created are all spectacular. We were told by the waiter that we could sit there and utilize the beach as long as our spend minimum was 600 pesos each. Not sure if this is true as we saw people come and sit for an hour, have one drink and leave. I guess they could have paid 600 pesos for a beer but I highly doubt it. I think we were identified as tourists and paid the price for it. That being said, the food was fantastic, the drinks were cold and the view was spectacular. We did find the menu, a little on the pricy side. We stuck around until after closing to see the bioluminescent show in the water but unfortunately it was very underwhelming. I am told most nights is better. This of course is no reflection on the beach bar, just a side note. All in all it was worth the cost to sit there and enjoy ourselves for several hours!

We order the fried octopus and mojitos. For sure the prices are high but the fried octopus was so delicious and the place is very charming with great hangout spot. I would suggest asking for less sugar in the drinks. The location is very beautiful and you can stay late and see the bioluminescence on your own.

Awesome location right on the beach but the place is understaffed :( and once the bed are getting booked (2000 mx on a consumptions basis) the service is getting slower and slower... 35min for a drink... although we had an amazing time.

Great sunset- but super expensive and one of my least favourite margaritas in Mexico so far. The people watching of the boyfriends-of-instagram dutifully taking 70 versions of the picture of their influencer girlfriend is amusing- but the overall vibe a bit tired. Bathrooms blocked and no running water.

Too pricey compared to places in the center, despite offering same quality. Also tips were added to the bill without asking, which was disappointing. The location of the bar is very remote and not particularly appealing—overall, not worth going there. However, Holbox itself is absolutely amazing, my husband and I truly loved it :)

The setting is nice but that’s it. The waitresse was rude and the drinks were very mediocre. We ordered a pancake with nutella for our kids. It looked and tasted like plastic. And then they charged 250 pesos for it. Tourist trap!!!

I came here two days ago with one of my cousins as we were exploring Holbox. When we got in we were told to seat anywhere, so we sat in the reclining chairs under the roof close to the bar. We were then asked to move to the reclining chairs further out because where we were seating was intended for Americans. I am a Mexican visiting from the US and I will make sure to not come back and be disrespected that way ever again.
