Angelotti Martínez de la Torre Reviews
New to the area and I already know I'm going to be a regular at the Feed Lot. Delicious and massive portions are served up, has a small bar and friendly service. Highly recommend the Country Fried Steak and Fried Cheesecake. Update: already went back to the Feed Lot and once again, they did not disappoint. Tried the Monti Cristo and Flaming Popper burger. Scrumptious.
First time eating there and will definitely be back. Ashley was our waitress and couldn’t have been more perfect. She was very sweet and helpful !! I had the sirloin and was cooked perfectly and Hubby had catfish, which was great.
The food here is always good it's Hometown country cooking with a lot of different choices. One thing to remember is during the week they are closed from 2 to 5 other than that they're open 11 to 2 and 5 days I believe it is Saturdays and Sundays 11 to 9 the people that work there are all fun friendly play and they work hard we were there on Mother's Day Afternoon and that's one of the busiest days you can go to any restaurant we still had a wonderful time a wonderful meal and it didn't take a whole lot longer to get it then it would have On Any Sunday afternoon. Try it I'm sure you're going to like it it's very reasonably priced and they have weekday lunch specials that are awesome and very well priced
First time there. Food was fresh and hot. I ordered the pork chop with a side salad and broccoli/cheese casserole. Pork chop was very good and tender. The broccoli was cheesy and creamy. Very good meal
Once in a while you get good service. Here you get phenomenal service. From the moment I walked in the door till I left I felt like my business was appreciated and wanted. The ladies here smiles and made sure I had a great experience. The food was fantastic. Can’t say enough about the people here. Great job!
Great establishment, took the kids there for late lunch. Even tho it was almost time to close, they were nice and got us food straight away. Even ordered dessert afterwards, get a load of the fried ice cream. Was enough for for kids to share. The lunch specials are also amazing. Had the all you can eat chilli with corn bread. Check this place out!
Yesterday, my wife and aunt went and tried the food. Our orders were spot on. The hamburger steak was good...my favorite. Our waitress; Ashley, was very professional. To the staff, keep up the good work. Steven Russell.
Nice place. Not noisy. Great food.
Come here. Get the Monti Cristo. Leave full and happy. It's simple. Service is great, and the place is clean. It has a rustic aesthetic, and all kinds of comfort food.
Jennifer was awesome, and the food was great as usual! I can now confirm that the "Chicken Strips" might be too big to be categorized as a "strip." It's more like a small chicken fried chickens. NOT a complaint! 🤘🏻
I can't believe how long this restaurant has been in this location and I'm just now hearing about it. It's a hidden gem. Neat comfy environment and outstanding wait staff. The food is outstanding and I know we will be back to try something else.
I ordered tonight for pick up, was told my order would be ready in 25 minutes. Nope, it wasn't. Their "catering truck" was almost completely blocking the drive thru and when mentioned it would help customers picking up orders, the waitress was rude and said they were catering so she couldn't do anything. All they had to do was back it up 3 feet. I was told they were backed up and asked to go park in the parking lot and she would bring it to me. Funny how every vehicle behind me went right through and drove right away with their orders. She finally brought me my order...20 minutes after I got there. Not a good impression.
Very quiet atmosphere, even though it was very crowded. We will come back. The waitresses were very nice and the food was very delicious. Highly recommend. I order the Open Face Roast Beef. Very good.
Even having 4 kids, 2 adults and my mother with us. It was an amazing experience. The food was actually much better than I was anticipating and I could not have asked for a sweeter waitress. Next time I am passing through the area. If I have time, I will stop and get another meal.
First timers, we ordered 12oz ribeye steak, sweet corn & grilled mushrooms. Our server Jessi was fantastic. Overall i give them 4.9 They have nothing to envy over these chain steak house. We will definitely be back. Jessi thanks to your humbleness and that great smile we will be back. You've earned another customer. 🤗🤗
we are there yesterday for a football game. They were swamped with young people every table. We found a seat and the waitress was right there with menus and drink. Good job done by all the staff. The food and drinks were also very good! We will be back if ever in the area again!
Excellent place! What we didn't know was the portion sizes. Hubby ordered large chicken fried steak and I ordered small. The kind waitress placed my plate down first and I tried to correct her that I had the small steak. She then corrected me that WAS the small steak.... the taste was impressive and we walked out with a very heavy "to go" box.... FYI, it's rare for us to ask for a "to go" box!! Baked potato was huge as well as our salad! The ONLY complaint is I wish they gave us a full set of silverware since I typically will cut up my salad in smaller pieces. I'd still go back again!!
We had a large group of ten eat supper here at the Feed Lot Restaurant. Our server was excellent and worked outr table singularly. She got everyone's order correct and kept our drink refills full. The food was excellent, flavorful, and delicious. There are plenty of menu choices for everyone. The appetizers came out fast and our food was delivered a short time later, fresh and hot!
Took my family here for lunch on the weekend and all I can say is WOW. Staff was friendly and attentive, food was hot and delicious. I ordered the large chicken fried steak, okra and mashed potatoes and I gotta admit it was the best chicken fried steak I've ever had!
This is a nice place to get lunch or dinner. It has a small town diner feel with delicious country style cooking. The menu is very simple and easy to navigate and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend th chicken fried steak.
Really good comfort food with excellent service. I had the Arkansas Traveler which was slow-roasted beef on top of sweet cornbread, with sweet corn, mashed potatoes, brown gravy and cheddar jack cheese. Not for everybody but I really liked it. If you are passing by Burkburnett around lunch or supper then I recommend stopping.
Large portions of really good food. Employees are great, and the atmosphere was pretty cool. I had the fried shrimp, and my wife had the chicken fried chicken. Both were very good.
We eat here often and the food and service is always great!!
The burgers are great and the Popper Chicken was amazing. Peach cobbler and fried ice cream were so good. The fried ice cream can feed at least 2! Awesome staff.
Catfish was fresh and hot. Okra and cole slaw fantastic. Wait staff was clean, friendly and ready to help. The bathroom was cleaner than mine at home, Not only will I go back, I'll take friends.
Sorry no pics folks we gobbled this food up. Wish this restaurant was in our home town. We had the nicest young lady serve us. Best service I've ever had Shonna Thank you. The rib eye was delicious. Charred meat, juicy, very flavorful. Matter of fact we are eating here again before we head out tomorrow. Keep up the good work.
I love most of the food here I just don’t recommend the steak it’s a bit to tough. However the rest of the food and service is great!
Nice atmosphere with very friendly staff. Got the full Catfish, fried okra, green beans and black berry cobbler. Very good flavor on all of the above. Catfish was steaming when brought out to me and well seasoned. The blackberry cobbler was good however the consistent of the mix was kinda watery. Still a good spot to come with the family!
Love this restaurant. Right off the highway, it’s a perfect little stop on your way through on 44. They do deep fried soooo good. Probably the best fried mushrooms I’ve ever tasted. Staff was very friendly, Brittany was attentive and so nice.
I am writing this review just to say how much I love their batter. Amazing batter on everything that's fried.
I got into town late. Even though it was almost closing time, I was still able to sit down and enjoy a very nice meal. My server was super nice and food was fabulous. I was introduced to roasted jalapenos on a hamburger. Very nice surprise. I hope to stop there again sometime.
Passing through and wanted an old fashion diner type place. The Feed Lot hit it spot on. Lots of options for comfort foods and some I’d never heard of or thought of (Buster’s Pie). They’ve got everything from burgers, steak, & seafood to Tex-Mex, sandwiches, & salads. Big glasses of awesome sweet tea and desserts to die for!! I’m hoping for another road trip this direction just so we can stop by again (I really want to try the Arkansas Traveler.
Food: BUSSIN Service: BUSSIN Atmosphere: TEXAS REALNESS 🤠 The food was really good. We got regular burger, chicken fried steak and my daughter got Mac n cheese. It was all just so good. THE SWEET TEA WAS THE BEST PART THO. Definitely coming back to try something else and some dessert. We just didn’t today bc we were going to Boomtown Sno after. Just an all around great small town place 🤎
Was walking by and smelled the food from outside so decided to go in. The service was great and had a very homey feel. Definitely the southern hospitality you look to find when in Texas. Very interesting decor and the food was amazing. The rootbeer is crisp and the sweet tea is southern sweet. Me and my partner both ordered steaks and they tasted just like home grilled steaks on a summer day. Definitely would recommend if in the area.
Best Chicken fried steak I have had in 10 years. Full of flavor and tender, no gristle. They use sirloin to make it, the gravey is Awsome! The mash potatoes were wonderful even the Texas toast was great. If your in the area stop and eat support this wonderful restaurant. I am sure the other items on menu are great, the service was too notch, all this at 3pm in afternoon.
The first visit was recommended by my son's teammate. They did not disappoint. I had the Monti Cristo, and it was definitely made with love. The flavor and fry were balanced. No soggy , not greasy absolute perfection. My son had a steak, which he enjoyed (absolutely devoured). He ordered medium, but it came out med-well, no worries though it was still very tender. I think you could come for a beer and appetizers or the desserts and be content with the company you bring and the service you receive. Glad we found it.
This was my first time coming to this location the service was excellent and I had the chicken fried steak with iced tea
The food is really good. Steak was AMAZING literally cut like butter. The real star of this restaurant is Morgan!!!! Coming back just for her. Service was 10/10. If you’re stoping in, come and see Morgan.
Staff was on top of their game. Several people were working dining room and they all helped each other, which is awesome when I say that the food is above average and very tasty. It’s probably the best restaurant in Burke.
The service was great, super friendly. Everything is super reasonably priced, esp for the portion sizes. Everything is freshly made and delicious-- no frozen fries or instant mashed potatoes. I had the Monti Cristo sandwich and my daughter had the chicken fried steak. We both took home to go boxes full. It's a good thing we don't live closer! Highly recommend trying this place.
I can’t say enough about this place! It’s my new favorite restaurant within Wichita County! The staff is friendly and our waitress was so, so sweet and attentive. The food was AMAZING. The portions are big and the prices are great! We came in about an hour before closing time and left @ closing time, but never did they rush us. I would definitely recommend if you haven’t already!
We just moved to Wichita Falls about 7 months ago and one of our new vendor friends (we set up at the Farmers Market together) told us we needed to try this place because it had great food. She wasn't lying, our first time there tonight, and it was really delicious. I got the "small" chicken fried steak, and it was huge. If that was small, I can only imagine the size of the large. We ordered the sampler appetizer platter to share, and it was huge, too. The fried mushrooms and pickles were some of the best I've had. The banana pudding was really good, too. Our server, Jessi, was awesome, and she was so nice and helpful. She made sure we had everything we needed every time she passed by. Between my husband and I, we have enough leftovers for dinner tomorrow. We will definitely return. I highly recommend it, and it really lives up to its name. You do get fed a lot!
First time trying The Feedlot and was not dissapointed. Good home cooking. Portions were more than adequate and reasonably priced. Our waitress was great. Nice atmosphere and the place was clean and nicely decorated. This will be a regular place for us! Can't believe it took us so long to go here!
Incredible food and service. Our server Morgan was so sweet, funny, and attentive. Love the atmosphere, crowd, and staff. 100% recommend this restaurant!!
Great place for us to stop while passing through! Absolutely friendly staff and the food was on point! Get the steak.... worth it!
It was very good. I got the busters pie and some brocolli casserole and it was so good. My husband got the hamburger steak and said it was great. Highly recommend
We were fed delicious well prepared food by friendly staff in a homey environment! Absolutely going back!
Best chicken fried steak around hands down! Indian Taco is another favorite. OH and their Fried Ice Cream....da bomb!! Great place for lunch or dinner. They always seem to have a special too! Recently it was their Cajun Shrimp Boil.....awesome!! Never have had a bad meal here. Staff is courteous & friendly. Definitely need to give this place a try.
Just finally ate at The Feed Lot Restaurant for the 1st time, and I have to say they make the Best Western Texas foods in the north side of Texas, just behind the Red River. The cheeseburger was delicious along with the fries, especially they did a very good job on making my food, the right way. Have you ever stopped by Burkburnett (Boomtown USA) Texas, make sure you're to give this restaurant a try, specially on a hungry stomach.
We went to the Feed Lot tonight for the first time with friends. We had a party of 7. We took the big table they had by the door. Our waitress Lee-Lee was so sweet, friendly and very energetic. The had a lot of tables but she was on point. The food was good also. I was pleasantly shocked that the food prices are not bad at all. We had plates that consisted of shrimp, chicken and steaks. Everything was delicious and hot and all came out together. Great atmosphere and an amazing waitress. Will be back for sure.
Food took awhile but was hot and fresh. Catfish was best and chicken fried steak
Consistently great food with excellent service every time we eat here, either individually or call-in for our work meetings. Love this place.
I wouldn't call us "regulars" but it's definitely our go to place in small town USA. The service is always good, food is on point and atmosphere is always welcoming. Family dining at its finest.
This was a spur of the moment decision to stop for some lunch and we weren't disappointed! We went with their chopped beef sandwich, fries and a drink. But.... before that we got the chips, salsa, queso and guacamole appetizer. Oh son, their chips are fresh and will hit those taste buds just right! Our waitress did a wonderful job as well! Thank you for great food, service and atmosphere! We will be back. Side note: I like to check bathrooms as well and they were clean and had a great presentation as well😁
Absolutely LOVED our server, Morgan. Heard great things about this place so we drove over from Wichita Falls. We got the sampler appetizer to start. It was GREAT. We also ordered a Ribeye. I think that might’ve been the best steak I’ve ever eaten. If you ever stop in, ask for Morgan! She had us laughing the whole time we were in there! Impeccable service & outstanding food!
Hands down, the best comfort food around. Huge portions, enough for a second meal to take home. Burgers, fish, sides and appetizers were cooked to perfection. There's something for everyone, on the menu. The atmosphere was great, servers were all courteous and accommodating. My only suggestion, is to put "Mac & Cheese" on the menu. This is the ideal family restaurant. Thank you for such a delicious dinner with my family.
This is probably the best suggested restaurant I’ve been to. The portion to price ratio is definitely in the customer’s favor here. I was too hungry to snap a before pick of the appetizer sampler platter but did take one of our dinners. If you get a chance, please stop by and eat a great meal here.
Highly recommend! It was crowded but we didn't have to wait too long. The amount of food that you get for the cost is very reasonable. The potatoes are not 🚫 out of a box. They are real, fresh mashed potatoes. The fried squash was good also. I got the full order of catfish. Delicious! And I got full half way through it. It will be another meal later. Very generous portions. My husband got the open-face roast beef. He hardly ever eats all of his food. He tore his plate up this time! 🤣 He ate all of it.
Always a great experience at the Feed Lot, the food, the staff, the atmosphere its all just great. The food was absolutely amazing, always is, every time we go there we try something new which always turns out absolutely yummy amazing. The staff are absolutely lovely, the decorations are decors are fascinated and amazing. Definitely recommend a visit to The Feed Lot Restaurant. I give it a 5*****
All the food we ordered came out nice and hot. CFS was more crust/breading than meat. Which was disappointing. I should have ordered the chicken fingers. Appetizers were good. Waitress was courteous and friendly.
The food was excellent, and there was plenty of it. Fried mushrooms as appetizers were spot on. Large chicken fry was huge and delicious. Grilled mushrooms were even better. My wife had the sampler plate, and she said the fried catfish and hush puppies, chicken fry, and chicken tenders were great. The service was good for Sunday after Churh rush.
Catfish was amazing! I got the sample platter and the star was indeed the catfish. Chicken was juicy but not flavorful same with the chicken fried steak. I have been told by several people it must have been an off day cause they do rave about the chicken fried steak. Would be willing to try it again.
Food was a bit of a let down unfortunately and the beer selection was depression. Staff was friendly though and prices were too bad
Came in for lunch on a Sunday. Followed the sign that said seat yourself, so I did. Unfortunately, all the 2-person tables were taken, so I ended up sitting at a 4-person table. Ordered the Monti Cristo... it's cooked similar to what you would find at Cheddar's (or the old Bennigan's). Nothing wrong with the sandwich itself... it's quite good, maybe could do with a little bit more powdered sugar. The raspberry preserves unfortunately were cold, so you couldn't really dip the sandwich in them or easily spread it on the sandwich with the fork you're provided. That's one point of improvement they could work on for that dish. My fries came out about 5 minutes after my sandwich, which wasn't a bad thing since it gave me time to finish the sandwich. The fries were hot, well-seasoned, and didn't need any condiments, so my props to the kitchen staff on that. A lot of restaurants don't properly season their fries, which makes it so the fries need ketchup or ranch or something to make them edible. The service was good and reasonably quick given how busy the place was. I'm not sure if I'll eat here again since I don't make it up to this area often (my last time was in 2012), but I'll drop my recommendation here and say it's more than good enough for food from a small town. I'm glad my hometown finally got some good restaurants beyond the usual chain restaurants you find in Texas.
Food was delicious. Service was slow but it was busy since it was Sunday lunch. Server was friendly.
Large group event but we were all seated and served. Noticed our group limited their ability to serve others. Food was hot and everyone was full.
Everything we had was pretty yummy. We will go back here and try different things. The chicken fried steak was seasoned well, and the gravy was good. The jalapeño popper chicken was tasty and juicy. The potato wedges and fries were meh. The pinto beans had a good pinto bean flavor, but were semi-mashed like refried beans, so they confused me. The service was good, the food was good and reasonably priced. We'll keep this place in our rotation.
Wife says 3 stars but I’ll go 4. Food and service were good but nothing special. But the size of the larger chicken fried steak was amazing; possibly the first time I’ve ever needed a to go box for a chicken fried steak. Unless you just brought a herd into town, the smaller one is probably large enough. Apple cobbler was not what we expected.
We had a party of 30 for dinner and only 1 waitress. Had other waitresses in the dining and only 1 to help with our party that had made reservations. Staff was nice but service was slow.
Still the best restaurant in Burkburnett. However they are getting skimpy on portions. Iced Tea is not as good, they are out of several items, including Texas Toothpicks. Very understaffed at 3PM Returned tonight at 7PM. Jessie the server was Awesome! However, the Chicken fried Steak has gone down hill. They need to go back to their old recipe. Still out of Toothpicks. Tea was better. Catfish platter was very small.
First time trying this place and from all the good reviews we were hoping it was like everyone said. Maybe it's better when you dine in but we did take out and got here and they got one of our orders wrong, they let us keep the one wrong order, so that was nice of them. The food was mediocre at best. Not what we hoped for. I'm not sure we will eat here again. Maybe we will give them another try later down the road. Try some different items.
Selby was a good server. That was the highlight. They were out of food and suggested an alternative, and it was horrible. The food was ok but not good.
The food tasted ok but the service was awful. We made a reservation for 6pm for father's day for 15 people. 5 ordered the all you can eat catfish. The rest ordered off the menu. It took forever to get our food and then only 6 people were served a little later a few more orders were brought out . Over an hour after ordering and still some hadn't got there food. It was very disappointing.
It had been several years since we had eaten there. We waited longer than I would have thought. Our food came out cold. We will not go back. We asked for crispy fish and got lightly fried fish.
The food was not what the others say. The steak was good at first but the further you went in loss it seasoning like it was on seasoned on half the steak. The mash potoes tasted like it was instant, and the rice and broccoli tasted like the salt was dumped on it. My husband had sampler plater he said chicken was decent but fish and chicken fry was nasty. It wasn't worth $60 😕 we won't be back rather drive a little and eat some place else. The service was great though.
The portions and sides saved a one star. The catfish tasted like store bought cornmeal and was so thick it was soggy by the time we got home with it. (4 minute drive). The tartar sauce might have made a difference, but I'm not big on it on catfish, and, we didn't get any. (Might have to specify you want it, or actually order it, I'm not sure, so that's on me) I will say the bite of my wife's hamburger steak was awesome.
I ordered the Ribeye to go. No silverware or napkins. The salad had no salad dressing. Just lettuce and nothing else. The manager said to take a picture of it. No offer to replace. I paid over 35.00 for this meal. Really come on. You need better customer service.
I placed order and got Monte Cristo and for a side selected cheese sticks. I think the cheese sticks are some of the best. The Monte Cristo is also very good. However, beware of ordering take out. I did not get ranch or marinara for cheese sticks and the raspberry jam was also missing. These are items my family prefers when eating these food choices. Called and the option was for me to come back and get items. This is not an option when I drove from another town. I will say girl on phone was apologetic but again, dining in has been the better experience.
We went on Saturday and sat down and we never got waited on. People went in after us and they got waited on immediately. No one ever came to even get our drinks. They just passed us as we weren’t even there 😔 We waited 20 minutes before we got up and left. Very disappointed. Needless to say we will never go back.
My Strip Steak was half gristle and I had to ask for steak sauce(a properly cooked steak shouldn't require steak sauce). Maybe I could give the cook some pointers. That steak was so thin, I asked for medium and it came out medium..medium well...and well done. If you're going to have it on the menu at least make it worth eating. My wife's Club Sandwich was soggy. To the point of being inedible. Come on, how hard is it to make a sandwich? Our waitress never came to our table unless we got her attention. She would pass by our table heading for the kitchen and purposely looked the other way. We've had other dishes here and have been equally disappointed. We will not be back.
You get a one star for being closed just because of a stupid overrated football game
Waitress was super sweet! Looking to dine in for a quiet dinner, Music was so loud I couldn't hear my friend talking across the table from me. Ceasars salad was awful, lettuce wilted, croutons were soggy. Steak tough as shoe leather,no flavor. I didn't ask for gravy on potatoes however they drenched them with brown gravy. I'll never set foot in this place.
They have really gone down hill since I last ate here. The chicken tasted like was pre breaded chicken you can get in Walmart. The Mac and cheese was just craft with some shredded cheese on top the only good part about it was the deep fried jalapeños but there was only 10 little slivers and a butcher of onions. I’m very disappointed in my experience and feel ripped off this meal was definitely not worth 45 dollars
The manager refused to make more sweet tea despite it being 2 hours from closing. They "ran out of drink mix." Food was great but the server used every excuse as to why they couldn't accommodate.
