Quando con la moglie siamo in zona colazione tassativa da loro
Well, I've always had a good experience. Both with the staff and the environment itself. The pastries are delicious, and the girl at the cash register is professional and courteous, despite being alone. She does a good job, and anyone who says otherwise is exaggerating. Working alone in the middle of a chaos is not easy. And anyone who doesn't understand this either doesn't work at all or has no respect for others. You have eyes, and Sunday mornings, which for mere mortals are a rest day, are a nightmare for baristas and restaurateurs. So, try to be more tolerant of those who try to take care of you as best they can. And looking around helps you understand the situations you find yourself in. We are all both customers and employees with customers. Don't forget this when you're about to write negative reviews based on a single event.
You'll notice it's in a historic building in Masate, with a visible sign and parking right across the street. A very interesting selection of pastries, cakes, bioches, and much more. In my opinion, the quality is excellent. With a Green Pass, you can enjoy a coffee or breakfast in the comfortable indoor dining rooms. Everything complies with regulations and the atmosphere is pleasant.
A good bar/pastry shop with a spacious dining room. Good coffee. Prices are reasonable.
I occasionally go to Colognesi for breakfast or a snack (though there's much more to choose from) and I'm always happy with the place—amazing croissants and delicious pastries. The only downside is that the other time they made us pay with a spray bottle and a cloth in front of us. It bothered me a bit, but it was also true that it was the only time.
Sunday morning. Breakfast. Friendly staff, clean place, and fast service. The freshly baked croissants were very good and beautifully flaky. The custard was fresh, though lighter in color than others, perhaps made with whole eggs and not just the yolk, but I could be wrong. Anyway, good. 2 cappuccinos, 1 coffee, and 3 croissants €8.70.
Although the pastries are good, it could do much better with a little more attention to customer service, especially for customers seated outside.
The brioches suddenly became very small (but the price remained the same).
It's a good pastry shop, but a café that no longer has bioches at 9:30 on weekends (and not once, consistently) simply isn't a café to me. It's a shame, the croissants are really good, when they're available. The cappuccinos aren't great, the milk is too warm. Breakfasts take too long to arrive, with only one person serving all the tables, even when the dining room is full. All these things suggest disinterested management.
Breakfast: Good cappuccino with plenty of foam for those who like it. The croissants are quite small but good. The cream is fresh and pleasant, but not to my taste because it's very buttery and therefore hard to digest. The service is average. The place is large, but not very clean. There was a lot of traffic, and the only waitress wasn't able to clean and serve efficiently. Maybe they need a little extra help, but it's August, so maybe they're on vacation. Parking in front with a parking disc is easy to find. The juices aren't the traditional brands, and the Ace flavor is too orange; my daughter didn't like it. €10 for 2 cappuccinos, 3 cream croissants, and a juice.
The pastries are expensive, but excellent. It's a shame I can't say the same about the owner's hospitality and the staff's service. A smile and a little more courtesy wouldn't hurt. I avoid breakfast at this café, because it's unpleasant to be greeted so coldly in the morning.
Good pastry shop, although I would improve a few things... I'd start with the welcome, which isn't exactly the best. A few more smiles and a bit of friendliness, which is often lacking, would be enough. Organization is also lacking. On a Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m., a pastry shop can't be out of croissants... The pastries are good and fresh, but it would be better if they were a little larger, considering the prices. The atmosphere is nice, although the outdoor tables are unfortunately quite cramped.
I went this morning for breakfast. I'm sorry to say that the girls are incompetent and rude! Behind the counter, they were talking loudly and badly about a customer who was sitting in the restaurant. I felt uncomfortable. Customers may not be to your liking, but you should never talk badly in front of other customers. Not to mention the service... I asked for breakfast to go; they didn't have the proper transportation equipment. If I had known in advance, I would have avoided ordering. They didn't even apologize for the inconvenience! I had to drive with a tray containing three coffee mugs in my hand to avoid dropping them. A few small touches would be more appreciated.
We were customers: One Sunday I bought €28.92 worth of sweets. My 4-year-old asked for a glass of water while I was paying, and they served it to him, adding 50 cents to my bill. I emphasize that we weren't passing through, but we bought a tray of sweets, paying per kilo, from a Michelin-starred pastry shop. These are things that we "southerners" can't understand, and perhaps many others here in Milan too. True: they made 50 cents; True: they lost a customer.
It was my habit to take the family out for breakfast on Sundays. This morning, unable to leave the house, I went to the pastry shop with the intention of getting two take-out croissants, a coffee at the counter, and some pastries. It was 9 a.m., and while the girl was passing by with a tray full of croissants, the other girl, I think she's the owner, turned around and said, "We're not doing take-out this morning because we're almost out of croissants." Too bad the person next to me had a bag of croissants, so, absentmindedly, I just had a bitter coffee, convinced I'd never set foot in this place again. Thank you and have a good Sunday.
First time here today, after hearing so much. I have to say, the place was nice and well-kept at first glance. We ordered brioches, but then we were unfortunately surprised by a very long hair in the dough! I should point out that it wasn't on or in the dish, but in the dough. And out of five people, four of them were shaved and one girl with medium-length brown hair, the hair was found in her mouth while chewing, long and red. Disgusting. As for the rest, I'd say it was very buttery and very sweet, plus the prices were way too high for the quality. The only positive was the kind and professional girl who, of course, brought the brioche back to us. An experience to forget, we'll definitely never go back.
