This place had a vast menu of tapas and wine. The staff are all very knowledgeable on the dishes and what is good to pair together.

The food and drinks are always on point. The staff and management are superb. I ordered the garlic shrimp-classic spanish tapa - grilled shrimp in spicy garlic sauce and the bocadillo bites-braised pork belly with kimchi, cilantro and sesame mayo on baguette roll

Great food, pretty affordable compared to most tapas spots. Wine list is extensive, not to mention some interesting cocktails

Salumi has a great beer selection. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The Spanish meat and cheese board is a fantastic choice. We'll definitely be back.

This place was delicious and a perfect dinner. Not only the charcuterie boards, but you must try some of their small plates, wow! We especially enjoyed the bocadillo bites, oyster mushrooms, and shrimp and grits.

Great little spot with fantastic food, superb service, and bonus, a fun bunch of additional kitchen/food items for sale. Can personally recommend the Spanish Board and bloody marvelous (a very interesting spin on a traditional bloody mary) but from the quality of what we saw and tasted I'm sure it's all similarly tasty.

Great “not a sport bar” place for night out, they have perfect food for any drinks you order.

Very nice tapas bar. Food was excellent and the drinks were delicious. Favors of each dish were unique and refreshing. Would highly recommend the Dry-Aged Steak Board. To the best of my knowledge, the menu is seasonal.

Food did not disappoint! They definitely don’t skimp on the acid, Garlic Shrimp and Branzino were rippin’. Octopus was cooked…perfectly. Probably some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Difficult to get right and I’m elated I took a chance on it. Pound cake with sweet cream and berries was delicious! Wines were good. Fairly typical and classic selection. You’ll find something you’ll enjoy there.

They are sister restaurants with Plancha in Garden City. What are the odds, we just are at Plancha 2 days before. The food is great at both locations. My only suggestion is, since I had the dry aged steak board at both locations, I think it’s a bit overcooked if the target is medium rare.

A wonderful place for brunch. I am so excited to go back and try tapas there. As you can see from the pictures the cheese board is amazing and worth every penny. Food was delicious, fresh and very well presented.

3 words...SALUMI IS GREAT. A family friend gifted us an "Italian board" for my wife's birthday and we have been hooked ever since. All their menu selections are perfect. Made with well researched purveyd high quality ingredients. I highly recommend their boards but you can't go wrong with any item on their menu. Wine selections are impeccable as is the entire staff. Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stopped by around 1:00 on a Saturday for the first time and was BLOWN away by the food. The restaurant and the bathrooms were perfectly clean, and the atmosphere was so relaxed and laid back. We got the garlic shrimp (10/10), Milano sandwich (oh my god 10/10) and the bocadillo bites (5/10). Garlic shrimp was probably the best shrimp I’ve ever had in my life. My boyfriend loved the Milano sandwich so much he started to cry tears of joy. The bocadillo bites were kinda gross IMO, the pork belly was just fat globs but I forgive them bc the rest of the food was spectacular. Cant wait to come back here and try the drinks, I’d definitely recommend!!!

A fantastic wine and tapas bar with impeccable cozy vibes and the best charcuterie. While it’s pretty unassuming from the outside, just a standard looking shopping block, but inside it’s a high end wine bar. It’s the right level of dim lighting, filled with wood tones and fun details. There’s two rooms of seating, solid music, and the staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. In addition to other tapas, they have two set charcuterie boards, the Italian and the Spanish. Both have a fantastic mix of incredibly high quality meats, cheeses, and fruits, and bread. The portions are massive, everything is delicious, and absolutely worth the price. I personally prefer the Italian Board, but you really can’t go wrong with any of it. Overall, highly recommended for a date night!

Really kool, chill spot with lots of food and drink options, some light music playing in the background, everyone enjoying each other’s company. Really LOVED the Tinto Margarita, which is a mix of wine and margarita pretty much, loved the twist on it, had a few of those! 🙃 Shared the delicious Italian board with my friend, who’s been here before, and absolutely loves it; she gets it every time! I would have to say the same! So good! Also loved the garlic shrimp in the tapas menu. We ordered the carbonara to share, though it was decent, could’ve had a little more flavor but overall okay. And our waitress Carmela, omg what a doll! So freaking adorable and friendly, giving us recs on what to order. She was so accommodating to us - we were there for almost 6 hrs just chatting away, ordering more drinks and food just the two of us, and she never rushed us to leave, which we appreciated! Because hey we needed our girl time! Lol. Would definitely return.

Long time customer (one of their first actually) and finally made it hear for brunch. Boy was I missing out. Talk about starting the day off right? A great coffee, an ice cold beer (yes I am that guy) coupled with walnut pesto toast and an Egg, bacon and fig jam sandwich on a home made English muffin - out of this WORLD. Try it for yourself you'll see. Two very big thumbs up.

After having a horrible racist experience by a local establishment that refused to service my group, we called Salumi and asked if they could accommodate us. The gentleman who I spoke with, was so sweet and polite. He let me know that they were booked with their prior Mothers Day reservations, but that at around 12/12:30pm, they would have tables. He then gave me the option of sitting at the bar, if we didn't mind. We were a group of adult moms, so we didn't mind it at all. Let me say, the staff at this location was absolutely welcoming and sweet even though their establishment was full. We sat at the bar and received the best attention and service. The food was so tasty and the portion size was just perfect. I regret not taking more pictures of the food. I am looking forward to visiting again and trying one of the boards. Keep up the great work! Thank you for rescuing our Mother's Day!

Salumi is one of Massapequa‘s hidden treasures. Their boards are incredibly curated, their wine selection is extensive and has something for everyone, and you can’t go wrong with any of their large or small plates. Be it brunch, lunch from the sandwich counter (I recommend the Roma), or dinner, Salumi is always a great choice. Ps you MUST try the chocolate dip dessert.

Just went there today for my wife’s birthday on a recommendation from her coworker….and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Our server Nadiia was friendly and attentive. The rest of the staff was nice and welcoming. The ITALIAN BOARD was AWESOME. The drinks we fresh and cold. Very cozy decor. We are already planning our next trip there even though we live over 35 mins away. Definitely give this place a try!

Salumi is our go-to favorite restaurant! The food is consistently delicious and the service is excellent. Best of all, they serve the best coffee on Long Island- Georgio’s!

Keith, behind the bar, is very knowledgeable about wine. Definitely ask his recommendation before ordering.

I’ve been going since this place opened 10+ years ago. Literally one of my favorite places on earth. If you know me, you know I love Salumi. Great owners and staff, and the menu changes all the time so you’ll never get sick of it. Soooo good!

We sat at the bar and Keith was terrific! The octopus was amazing and the Spanish board is enjoyable for two people. The lambchops were also a great addition to our meal. The food and service were wonderful. There is a wide selection of wines at Salumi - something for everyone. Keith is extremely knowledgeable!

The food was great, greater drinks and even greater company! Loved the atmosphere and how friendly staff is, especially the tall bartender, Zander or Xander I think his name was. He made my first date there so fun and not awkward was a great host and explained the dishes and drinks and made great recommendations. Definitely coming back for a girls night this time!

Always the best!!!! Whenever we go there either with the family or just for girls night out always superior food and service. We are usually the last ones to close the place!!! The food is always delicious, service impeccable and the atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. Highly recommend!!!

Everything about this place is 100%. But make sure to come when Xander is working. He loves what he does, he’s an artist with his cocktails, and makes the best espresso martinis on Long Island.

Can't say enough positive things about the wine selection and the garlic shrimp. The lamb is a solid option as well and their bocadillo bites are another favorite of mine. I always sit at the bar because Keith is very welcoming and knowledgeable about drinks and the menu.

Went for my birthday with a few friends. Our server, Sandra, was wonderful. Gave us excellent advice about our food and drink choices. She was knowledgeable about the boards. The food was delicious!!!!! We sat on the market side without the bar so we were able to talk easily. Will definitely be back for more!

This place always hits with great food, wine and service- but last night was next level. Josh made CERTAIN that I found the perfect wine for the moment and the food was out of this world. Always a welcoming, cozy, elevated atmosphere. You can tell staff are knowlegable and interested in wine and cocktails with the service provided. Great experience all around.

P

The food was good. Our waitress was pleasant. QR code menus are annoying and the glowing of phones really takes from the atmosphere. The menu is confusing as it doesn't say what each item is or has in it.

This place is amazing! Went there for brunch on a Saturday and basically had the whole place to ourselves. The food was delicious and the iced coffee had COFFEE ICE CUBES!! Highly recommend giving this place a try. The aesthetic was adorable and I still can’t atop thinking about the mason jar light fixtures. So cute!! 😍 The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the prices- a bit high for small portions that don’t fully fill you up. But still worth going once in a while to treat yourself!!

A very nice romantic place. Came here the day before Valentines Day with my partner and we both enjoyed the food. They have a nice wine selection, the staff is nice, and the food tastes fresh and high quality. Price tag is a little high so for two people expect to pay about $70-$80 with a couple drinks. That said this is a great date spot so if you want to splurge and have a nice date then this place is perfect. The picture is of the Italian board they offer.

First time at Salumi being a Merrick local. I took my wife out on a date here. For a Friday night, the place was relatively packed. Wine selection was good. Food is tapas small plates style. We ordered the octopus salad, bone marrow, lamb lollipops, garlic shrimp and sumac cauliflower. Our favorite by far was the sumac cauliflower. I was not impressed by the lamp lollipops. They had a glaze we were not too keen on and the warm salad it was served over didn't pair well. The ambiance was warm, cozy and rustic. The octopus in the octopus salad was cooked very well and it tasted like it had Italian dressing in it which may or may not be to your liking. The garlic shrimp was slightly overcooked. The menu was Spanish and had a lot of Italian notes. Just a heads up, there is a parking lot but it was filled when we got there because there is a dance studio next door, so we parked on the street. Personal Rating: 7.0/10

### Salumi Wine Bar: A Private Party Done Right Attended a private party at Salumi recently, and it was a great experience all around. The food and snacks were definitely the highlight – everything was delicious and kept coming at just the right pace. - Cheese board with plenty of options - Pizza-style appetizer - Shrimp dish - Bone marrow - Fluffy bread that was perfect for scooping and sharing Everything was served family-style, which made it easy to try a bit of it all. The pairings with the wines were spot-on – each glass elevated the food without overpowering it, and the selection was excellent throughout the night. Service was smooth, glasses stayed full, and the staff handled the group effortlessly. If you get the chance to book Salumi for a private event (or just swing by on a regular night), do it. The food, wine, and overall vibe made for a memorable evening.

Tapas with an Italian/Spanish focus. Some items were good, some not so good. For what you pay, there are better places to go for a meal. The Italian meat and cheese plater was very good, as were the chicken wings. The octopus, carboara pasta, and pork sandwich were not worth getting. The pound cake was better than the banana cake.

A pretty robust wine selection and the yaps are great. Service has always been a bit meh. Last time I was here for brunch I had to send back a drink because my bloody Maria was way too spicy. They did not remove it from my bill. Wish I had known, my friend would have at least finished it. Those little things service-wise really affect your decision to return. I doubt I will.

We have been coming here for years since josh and lily opened the place. We love the food and all of the different selections that they offer. It's something different and we really enjoy it. Unfortunately, we have gone to happy hour twice, which is a great deal by the way only to find ourselves never wanting to return. Andrew and the other waitstaff just congregate at the bar and ignore customers. Andrew is fixated on the laptop and the other servers along with the bartender, just engage in personal conversations and they ignore the very few people at the bar. You would think that when it's slow, they would capitalize on making relationships to build their happy hour so patrons return. Andrew can easily sit in the market area with his laptop and not make customers uncomfortable when they're being ignored. He didn't once look up or acknowledge us. He should also give the directive to the servers and bartender that when it's slow, it's their time to dedicate yourselves to the customers instead of engaging in personal conversation and excluding customers which is awkward and uncomfortable when you are on the receiving end. We've given happy hour a try twice and we were met with the same exact set of circumstances. Andrew can easily go to the back tables or table in the market to use their laptop but instead, it is an unprofessional display and lack of hospitality and service. With two servers, a bartender and Andrew, all congregating by the bar with Andrew fixated on his laptop, we were waiting twenty to thirty minutes for refills on our drinks and there were only 2 other people at the bar. Both times we would have ordered additional tapas, but no one ever came to check on us. It really is a shame because this place used to be so awesome. It's just become too casual when it comes to basic customer service and the staff could care less about the caliber of service that they deliver. We felt like an intrusion instead of being welcomed. This place used to be awesome and the team used to be warm, friendly and engaging. We have choices where to spend our money and we used to often choose salumi but unfortunately, they have made us go elsewhere because of poor service. We will definitely miss the awesome food.

The meat and cheese boards are excellent, quality was great. The other food on the menu was pretty good, especially the wings, but I’d say the meat and cheese boards are really worth getting. The overall ambiance of the place was nice, definitely created a social vibe while also feeling private with your table. My only complaint would be the service I experienced, I don’t know the waitress’s name but she just came over to our table and stood there. I had to say “Hi” to get her to say something, it was truly bizarre. Then she asked if we wanted any drinks but we could hardly hear her. When she came back a couple of times more she would just stand there again and look at us and wouldn’t say a word. It was so strange I almost laughed. We had to also ask for drink refills after I saw her pass our table looking at our empty drinks multiple times, and we had to catch her to put in the entree too. It wasn’t even busy that night. We also had to catch her to put in the check, and we were stuck there after closing because of that when we had finished everything well before closing. When we asked for the check she looked shocked that we did… it was just truly bizarre

My husband and I have been coming to this place for years now and we love it but not until last night. The long beard guy told us the wait was about 20-30mins. He only offered us we could stay if we want and order something at the bar while waiting for a table because 3 more couples came in after. I heard him saying “no tables at the moment, wait is about 20-30mins, they could stay, will call out once tables are ready”. He started taking down names on 3 couples who came after; never ours! So I was a little annoyed, saw couple leaving the bar area, and I rushed to seat down since we came 1st. 20 mins had passed, 3 couples have tables, but the long beard guy never came to us if still needed one, nor even asked if we’re good at the bar. Never even bothered looking at us. We are Asian btw. I refuse to think it’s about racism. I am very disappointed, Salumi. If this guy is just an employee, please do not allow him to ruin your reputable place. If he is one of the owner, please do better and treat everyone fairly.

We visited last weekend and everything was great, until the end of the night. Our group of eight had already paid our server and was just waiting for a few friends to finish their wine. It wasn’t like Joe was waiting on us to settle the bill; everything was already taken care of. Yet, it felt like he was ready to go home, and it wasn’t even 9:45 PM. Suddenly, the lights went off while we were still sitting there, which was surprising, especially since your Saturday hours are listed as open until 11 PM. We had also tipped Joe generously, so the experience was disappointing and, unfortunately, has left us feeling like we probably won’t be back.
