Man do I break my diet rules when I eat Golden Chicken. They have the crispiest chicken around here, and it's always juicy and tender. I think they marinate it in buttermilk. They give out Texas Pete hot sauce if you ask, and these packets of dry rub you can sprinkle on,Real Good Stuff!! We used the coupon that's on the back of the H.E.B receipt for an eigh piecet for 9.99 saved a couple of bucks. Well worth it, plus you can get It roasted half fried if you want, and they have plenty of sides to choose from.

Order placed at 7:23 PM and Bryan M said the wait would be 20 minutes. After 25 minutes, three cars that were behind us were served before we were. My husband went inside and Bryan M told him “10 more minutes,” then changed it to “actually 5 minutes.” Ten minutes later, still nothing. When I went inside, our food was already packed and sitting at the counter, but Bryan M made no effort to bring it out or update us. There was no line and only one family inside, yet the wait time doubled with no communication. Food never disappoints but more communication would have been appreciated.

The only reason why I remove 2 stars is because golden chick does NOT make the spicy strips like they USED to. They Used to cook them with the seasoning so the seasoning was evenly spread. NOW, They just fry the chicken and throw the seasoning on top of the already cooked chicken on one side of the strip so the seasoning is super salty on certain spots. The seasoning is Not evenly distributed anymore. Next time I'll take a photo.

The buns they use are delicious, they are sweet and buttery, the chicken for the sandwich is delicious when made fresh, I really enjoy their chicken sandwich. I love the fries they make here, they are I believe battered and taste really good.

What is the rule for SPICY chicken? Asking, cuz I had church's yesterday and you can SEE the spice beneath the crust. I ordered strips from GC and it appears ANY strips can become SPICY. Just powder the hell out of it with either paprika/ cayenne or both! The strips taste GOOD, but their method of adding heat can be unpalatable. Dry powder in the back of your throat not good.

I don’t have any complaints about the food, it was great! My complaint is with the service. I went through the drive through and ordered 3 chicken tenders and a 2 piece fried chicken combo. They told me that it would take 10 min to get my order ready bc of the fried chicken. I said that was fine, paid for my order and waited in front of the restaurant as I was told to. The 10 min go by and didn’t see anyone bringing my order, I waited a little longer bc truly I understand that sometimes things happen and it takes a little longer than expected. I start getting frustrated bc at this point it’s been 25 min for them to give me 2 fried chicken pieces and 3 chicken tenders. I go inside and explain what happen and the employee seemed confused but was comprehensive about and and started looking for my order. They apparently didn’t have it ready and no one knew what the order was. Eventually I did get my food after a 35-40 min wait that could be completely avoided by having good communication. Overall bad experience but great food! Hopefully no everyone has had this experience.

Food poor chicken salad quality. I gave the service a 3 star because the staff member I spoke with was professional and respectful. Dont know what happened today but the overall food quality was not there today.

Absolutely ridiculous service and food. I have over 10 years of experience working fast food and to have this served is ridiculous for $10. They were hard as rocks and inedible the mash potatoes were clumpy and the chicken cold. The only decent thing was the roll. When I went through the drive thru to get my food I asked for more tartar sauce because I had a feeling there was only gonna be one or none and I was right they only gave me one tartar sauce in the box. When I asked for more she gave me an attitude and said “sure”. Absolutely terrible service and terrible food.

I love Golden chick, the food is excellent, it never disappoints however my last experience is worthy of a review to write about. My wife and kids and I arrived at this location at 10:37pm as you can see on the receipt. Our order took very long. Granted, I understood that they probably didn't have enough tenders for my order, but we waited patiently. My order came out at 10:50pm but it was all bagged to go. My wife asked for plates and they said they couldn't give it to us because the diner was closed. We were never told this when we arrived. This location has an outdoor eating area and asked the manager, a lady with dark frame glasses and tattooed arms if my family and I could eat outside and we would make sure not to leave a mess. The manager was not very empathetic and was very blunt saying that we could but once the crew was done cleaning, we would have to leave, that we couldn't stay due to the alarm. (Even though the outside area doesn't seem to have anything that might trigger an alarm.) Other dining locations always have the courtesy of letting you eat as long as you go in within diner hours. Upper management should add what time their diner is closed, or something that says only to go after such and such time, maybe saying diner closed at 10:30 pm so that way only drive thru is open. This occasion was a course one of those where they didn't want to deal with the customer because manager in duty wanted to leave early. I will be sharing this experience with other civil servants that I work with that come to this location so that they don't have to end up eating their order in the car, which is what the cashier suggested. Note: I live far away so if I would take it home we would've end up eating cold food.
