Went during lunch, did not honor any of the lunch specials listed on the website. Specials listed on website were not being honored at all. Person who took my order stated all they had was the 2-piece fill up. Combos online do not state "online only." Reluctantly ordered the 2-piece fill up. The mashed potatoes tasted old. Chicken, although fried, was excessively greasy, soaked through the box. The apple pie poppers were dry with hardly any filling. Beyond disappointing and waste of money.

I came to eat with my family at this location, and unfortunately, the visit was very disappointing. This is not the first time I’ve seen the manager standing around talking with employees instead of assisting customers. On this visit, I was waiting to be helped while the manager was laughing and chatting with a male employee, giving the impression that customers could wait while they socialized. A young woman eventually took my order, but her name tag wasn’t visible so I couldn’t identify her. After some time, I noticed she was on her phone messaging, and my order still had not come out. When it finally did, the food was cold. Additionally, when I took my grandson to the boys’ restroom, the condition was unacceptable. It smelled terrible and the floor looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in months. Overall, the lack of professionalism, slow service, and poor cleanliness left a bad impression. I hope management takes these issues seriously and makes improvements.

This location is extremely dirty. If the lobby is this dirty. I hate to see what it looks like behind the counter. The soda machine has brown goop all over. The tables had so much trash in food all over the floor. The floor is sticky. They had a caution wet sign on the floor in front of the soda machine. Literally fall on what? Whatever it was,was stuck on the floor and hard. I bought the 20 dollar double mash. The chicken look so dark and dry. Like they fried it 3 different times. On 3 different days.I had to use the restroom. I would rather pee on myself then go in that bathroom. I ended up throwing it away. Before I got home. A waste of 22 dollars. If I could give y'all negative stars I would.

I’ve been to many KFC locations, but this one was by far the most disappointing. As soon as we walked in, there was a noticeable musty, towel-like odor that only got worse when I took my daughter to the restroom. The saying, “If you can judge a restaurant by its bathroom,” definitely applied here—after seeing (and smelling) it, I completely lost my appetite. The dining area wasn’t much better. The first booth we sat in had layers of dirt and grease on the floors, windows, and seating. The ceiling was stained from water damage, some lights were flickering or out completely, and sections of the wall paneling were literally being held together with scotch tape. It just felt neglected and run-down compared to other KFCs I’ve visited. It’s really unfortunate because a deep clean, some fresh paint, and especially a bathroom remodel could make a huge difference. The food might be fine, but the overall cleanliness and atmosphere made it really hard to enjoy. Hoping to see some improvements soon!

GROSS TASTING CHICKEN. They sold me BURNT & OLD GREASY CHICKEN and HARD BISCUITS. FOOD QUALITY is very LOW. The last 4 times I’ve ordered CHICKEN here at the NOLANA AVE STORE in MCALLEN the CHICKEN is HORRIBLE TASTING. I’m never going to order food at this location again.

During my recent visit to this KFC, I had a mixed experience. The cashier, while courteous, did not acknowledge us upon entry, which felt a bit unwelcoming. Our order took an unusually long time, about 20 minutes, which we were told was due to a delay in preparing the mac & cheese. However, when served, the mac & cheese was only lukewarm, falling short of expectations. The most concerning aspect was the cleanliness and state of the premises. The interior of this KFC location appeared to have been neglected for years, with no signs of recent remodeling. It was alarmingly dirty, indicating a lack of regular cleaning. This aspect alone significantly impacted the overall dining experience. In summary, while the staff's demeanor was pleasant, the long wait for food and the poor state of the restaurant's interior were major drawbacks. The hygiene and upkeep of the location need urgent attention to improve the dining experience.

Fearless Wanderer

Went after work to get their classic chicken sandwich, and this is what they gave me. I usually go during the day, but this time is the third time I go after work and they give me a hard, cold piece of chicken, smaller than the bun. I was disgusted!! Never again will I go to this place at night. From the CBS 4 News Que Rico, Que Asco, I give this place a Que Asco rating!

I've had KFC all over the world. I recently moved to McAllen last year from Massachusetts by way of Virginia Beach and SanDiego to spend time with my sons families, both in the Navy. And this is the first time KFC chicken didn't taste like KFC chicken.Tasted like old shortening and none of the secret spices. I've had better grocery store chicken. Not sure if I want to chance this one again. Corporate needs to check on the quality control down here.
