I didn't go to Wendy's. My Son and I went to Church's Chicken. But from past experiences at Wendy's, the food is great. I highly recommend the hamburgers and the Frosty drink. But it is thick, ask for a spoon. No way you can drink it with a straw.
The food was great 👍 The staff were nice 👌 The place looked clean. 10/10 Edit/ Gonna share some thoughts and info. This was the Single, It had extra lettuce, mayo, and pickles. I enjoyed that over about fifteen minutes. Great temperature, fresh, and meaty. Then I pulled out my second one. It was still perfect. I added pics of the second. 👌 Thanks, Wendy's
Pretty Solid Wendy's its not one where food is always dropped fresh though so if you order a chicken sandwich spicy or regular ask for it to be dropped fresh. There are other wendy's stores that will drop chicken fresh by default, this is not one of those locations.
I highly recommend Wendy's breakfast options, they are very underrated, they are amazing specifically the breakfast baconator. The lunch options are also very delicious I really recommend the bourbon burger or the spicy honey chicken sandwich, the pretzel Bacon Pub burger is super delicious. ----- Previously they had the sausage, egg & cheese biscuits for $1 (limited time only). These are amazing and for the price what's not to love, their sausage here is particularly delicious and so is the crispy bacon (if not burnt).
Wendy's launched its new breakfast menu in March of 2020. They have been doing breakfast for a long time but not to the success of it's competition. The line of cars there is never as long as McDonald's, yet the food is just as good. They were offering a one dollar biscuit with bacon or sausage, egg and cheese, so I decided to try it. I wasn't disappointed, the biscuit was quite good, it tasted fresh made, and we'll worth a dollar. The coffee isn't as good as McDonald's coffee but I can live with that My son ordered the baconator combo that comes with these really good, crispy potato wedges, and of course a drink. The sandwich itself is composed of a beef patty, lots of bacon, egg, cheese, and on a burger type bun. He absolutely loved it. I liked that we didn't have to wait long to get our food. We will be going back again for breakfast, and probably sooner than later.
Update 11/18/24: Went to get a dave's double, and ordered 2 chilis and chili cheese fries. The chili's beans were under cooked, both on the chilis and chili cheese fries. Only thing that was ok was the burger. So had to lower from 5 to 3 stars. This time the food sucked but service and atmposphere was ok. So far everything was good. Kassdie help me out alot. She helped out the person who took out order she was new, I think her name was Joanna. But she was a lot of help and food was good.
Told lady on register my burger was cold, she brought me a new burger but was room temperature,fries 🍟 we're not the greatest half were burn, nuggets were not well cook from one side.,I saw the Cook doing his job very poor so I diced, just not to complain because I was going to get a messy food again.here are some photos. You all be the judge.
They charge for one single sauce if you don’t order nuggets?? That’s the stupidest thing ever. No wonder they’re closing down numerous locations. Ever heard of dipping fries in sauce?? Or a Sandwich??
Wow! This place better get their act together or just close it! There was no ice. If I was running a restaurant I would go to Walmart and buy ice. They are not that busy. Waited to order over 5 minutes. No greeting or acknowledgement. Finally a sloppy dressed person came to take our order. I was really a bother ordering tonight! And we were the only two in the store. I know why! 😳
The past few months this location is always out of food. Either chili, baked potatoes, frosty's (one of the things they're known for) and then today ice also. This location is really disintegrating and the employees are unavailable when you go inside to order. Save your time and don't bother stopping here.
Went in for two frosties and wasted an hour of my life. When I finally got to the window, they gave me one when I asked for two, charged me two and asked me to move forward, that it would be 5 min. Fast forward 20 min, I walk inside to see a young girl serving frosty for the drive thru window. Don’t know if they did it on purpose or genuinely forgot about me but I asked for a refund and left empty handed. Never coming back here again /:
terrible service. i went through the drive thru, and the employee was in a rush to take my order. when i got home i found out the nuggets were half raw and when i was about to call to make a claim i realized she didn't give me my receipt. i've visited other locations in the RGV but this the first time something like this happened at wendy's. very disappointed
If I could leave I worse review I would. They asked me to move forward and they forgot about me, I had to get out of the car and go ask them about my food after 20 min waiting in the sun with 2 kids. I asked for 2 kids meals with chocolate milk and as Soon my dauthers tried it told me it wasn’t chocolate milk so I had to ask them for the chocolate milk which I had to get out of my car too and get it. In a super rude way the “manager 1” asked for the milks I told them they were open but happy to give them back and throw them in the trash in front of us super upset. Acting like that in from of my 2 little ones? They made 2 mistakes and act that way instead of I’m sorry take small free fries. At least I’m sorry? Terrible experience!
Took 20 minutes for 1 single cheese burger and 2 tenders. Guy didnt apologize or anything. Avoid this place. Go to McDonald's or chikfila across the street
The worst Wendy's ever for customer service, food and overall atmosphere. I purchased the 8.00 combo that includes two junior bacon cheeseburger, small chili and a Cobb salad. When I approached the counter nobody was there to take my order. When someone finally came over to take my order, I ordered the before mentioned food. Well the lady at the counter could not understand that I wanted a Cobb salad with classic chicken instead of grilled chicken. She called someone over and I explained to him what I wanted. I even pointed Ted at the screen where they had a picture of crispy chicken tenders. He said ok. When my partial order came out it was the Cobb salad with grilled chicken instead of the classic chicken and small chili. I went up to the counter and told her that I wanted crispy chicken. They took my cobb salad back and took out the grilled chicken and put a dried old crispy chicken patty. They did not even cut it. They should have replaced the salad. The lady told me I just needed my fries. Well other customers came in and got their food that included fries and I was still waiting, while my chili was getting cold. I finally went up to the counter and she saw me and gave me an order of fries. I explained to her that I was still missing my burgers. She asked for my receipt and the manager was there and he asked what name the order was under. They finally gave me my burgers that were cold and the fries were cold. I waited over thirty minutes for my food. I will never go to this Wendy's again. I should have asked for my money back. I gave it a one star rating because I have no other choice. It deserves a zero rating.
Today a manager called my name for the order. Instead of giving me the food he DEMANDED that I apologize to their patron. Imagine that telling a 43 year old man by a 20 some year old what to do. I will never apologize for something I did nothing wrong. A woman took a very long time to order her $2 meal. After she kept talking chit chat not aware someone was also in line waiting to order. Once she stopped I moved up and said excuse me id like to order. Payed no attention to her and ordered just a sandwich and waited. Instead of going after me for that how about fix your icecream machine and fix those lights to the outside of the Wendy's. It looks closed and your losing customers more than 1 way and now we all know why.
Food overall quality is OK, but Environment is extremely poor. Employees appearance is not up to par. Cleaning utensils such as broom are stored in plain customer view while ordering at counter. Needless to say this restaurant is POORLY MANAGED!!!
I’m in the drive-through for breakfast. Picking up three burritos. The Store manager. Who’s also the Cook after being at the window for eight minutes. Asked me if I could pull forward because it’s gonna take longer to cook the eggs for my three burritos, and when I told them that I would stay here at the window, and wait for my food where I paid for it. He said well. I’m a good Customer of the Store that you work at and when I go to your store. I’m gonna request. Immediate Service. I don’t understand that common because my Store has nothing to do with food, Services, and at my Store, we treat all our customers the same as they come in. We get them registered and take care of them. i’m not sure what me waiting for my food at the window has to do with him. Coming to my Store for Service. And I don’t understand. If the fast food restaurant. Every time they take your order. They ask you to pull forward and wait for your meal ahead. My belief is they do this, so that their system doesn’t register how long it actually took for the meal to be served. Because as you pull away, it then stops the clock on the running of that ticket. The Customer behind me, drove up along side me and asked them if his food was ready. And they said that they have to get going and if they don’t have their food, he apologizes, but he hast to leave. And I’m still sitting here. Waiting for my three burritos. I’ve already paid, so I can’t leave I’ve now been at the window for 15 minutes since I placed my order. Waiting for my three burritos. It’s now 7:30 in the morning I arrived here at 7:18 this morning And then I had to ask for my receipt at the end. When I got my credit card back, she said I’ll have your receipt in a little bit. My receipt shows 731 A.M. on September 1 which is the time they delivered it to me. And if I had pulled up to the front like they asked me to the system. Would’ve registered my car. Leaving five minutes or so. After I took my order. Anyhow, this is Wendy’s, Restaurant, 2716 W. Nolana Ave. 78504. My ticket number Amber is 3001.Host Gilbert Anyhow, this gentleman is generally pleasant. When you come through the drive-through. I don’t understand the attitude today, and I don’t understand him having to bring up when he comes to my business. What he’s going to demand. It sounded like a threat, which is not a comfortable way to feel when you’re ordering breakfast. Anyhow, I hope there’s a Wendy’s representative. That’s overseen the reviews and addresses this with this location. Like I’ve said, I typically get good Service when I’ve driven through other than today and again, my order was the drive-through window. It wasn’t dying in. It wasn’t take out. And it wasn’t delivery. Happy Labor Day, everybody. God bless the USA
Extremely Disappointed Took my kids excited for the Wednesday Adams meal big mistake. The staff (mostly kids) were unbelievably rude and unprofessional. Totally ruined the experience. The meal itself was just as bad nothing like what was advertised. Won’t be coming back.
I went through drive thru and let me begin by saying the employee I spoke with was both polite and nice. Now the first red flag was the abnormally long wait time for my 5 dollar meal deal (I was the only car there). Once I actyally got my food I instantly noticed how much ice was in the drink that I actually couldn't put in the straw. I can excuse that as someone who has worked in fast food- it happens. But then my burger… I bit into it and felt how the buns were completely cold (not sure if the picture conveys that well) but I actually couldn’t eat it and im such a big back that I can overlook a lot. I’ve never experienced such cold food from ANYWHERE. The meat inside was not even hot either. The pictures I took is around 15 minutes after I got my meal and could stop somewhere. My nuggets were VERY crispy, but I had no complaints. Same with the fries. I thought this was unacceptable food serving considering I was in line for a while to get cold food. Not sure what was going on with the cooks.
