Yesterday, we visited this restaurant to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and the experience was absolutely wonderful. The team truly went above and beyond, from helping us with decorations to making sure everything was set up perfectly for the celebration. The food was warm, fresh, and incredibly delicious, and every dish was enjoyed by our group. What really stood out was the top-notch customer service. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and made us feel genuinely taken care of throughout our visit. I highly recommend the McKinney location and will definitely be returning soon. Such a great place for special occasions!

Great service and relaxed classy atmosphere. They have the best Beef Noodle soup I've ever eaten. I also appreciate that the dandan had fresh ingredients rather than tasting like artificial peanut butter. Everything was top tier. I'm excited to eat here again and try more dishes! Ty Chef Sun!

Great Food! Friendly Staff. Thank you Andrea for the reccomendations. Our Biang Biang Noodles, Braised Beef Noodles, and Tripple Delight Steamed Dumplings were very good! Definitely reccomend this place.

I came in “just to try one thing” and left with rainbow dumplings, soup dumplings, beef buns, and orange chicken with lo mein. Each bite was a plot twist. The flavors were so good I briefly considered moving in. New favorite go-to place.

Insanely delicious. Get the house soup boa x2 cause you won't find a better soup dumpling in McKinney. Guarantee it. Oh! Another hidden gem of a dish (if you like tofu) if their salt and pepper tofu. DELISH and fun to share too. Ahhh this place is a 12/10.

What an amazing place. Stopped here for a late lunch with my wife. The decor is inviting and relaxing with doors mounted on the ceiling. We started off with the chicken dumplings. I wasn’t expecting them to be red. I’ve seen green and brown at other restaurants. Our server said the red comes from red carrots. They were really good and full of meat. My wife had the Orange Chicken. The sauce had bits of orange peel and some red peppers. The chicken was plump with great flavor, and is served with a side of rice. I had the Oil Drizzled Beef Noodles and it was served in a bowl with a side of scissors (yes, you read that right). The noodles are two inches wide and at least a foot long (that’s why you get scissors). You could tell the entire dish was scratch made with sliced garlic and jalapeño, bell peppers, tomatoes, and cilantro. So many different flavors in one dish. The service was impeccable, professional, and friendly. They were proud to answer any questions that we had.

Authentic flavors and huge portions! The orange chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the fried rice was cooked just right. Quick service and great prices. I’ll definitely be ordering again soon.

Amazing Chinese restaurant in Dallas! I visited this restaurant based on a friend’s recommendation, and it did not disappoint! I heard it’s a relatively new place, but the food quality is top-notch. The menu had so many tempting options, and I ended up ordering xiao long bao, steamed dumplings, chicken potstickers, chili noodles, pork & shrimp siu mai, and the wood ear mushroom salad. Everything was absolutely delicious! The chili noodles were bursting with flavor, perfectly chewy, and had the right amount of spice. The xiao long bao was juicy and full of umami. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic and delicious dim sum in the Dallas area!

We recently went to Chef Sun’s Noodle and Dumpling in McKinney. A huge plus for many – they have a halal portion in their menu. The ambiance hits just right with a warm and inviting feel the second you walk in. Those noodles? Cooked to perfection. And the dumplings? Flavor explosions in every single bite, clearly made with fresh, quality stuff. Honestly, trying to pick a favorite was a delicious struggle. Beyond the amazing (and halal!) food and atmosphere, the service was top-notch. Our server was super friendly, attentive, and full of great suggestions, really making the whole experience a joy. If you're anywhere near McKinney and craving some seriously tasty (and halal!) noodles and dumplings in a great setting, you absolutely have to check out Chef Sun’s.

Quality that you can smell, taste, and feel. The beef soup is soul cleansing! Filled with collagen rich, tender beef. The slightly spicy beef broth pairs perfectly with house made noodles that have a lovely, velvety texture. I can't wait to explore this menu further.

Chef Sun’s delivers on taste, especially for noodle and dumpling lovers looking for handcrafted Chinese fare in McKinney. It has strong flavors, a clean and spacious atmosphere, and live dumpling preparation. The best halal authentic Chinese restaurant, must try

A nice place for lunch or dinner that is clean with good service. Food was fresh prepared as ordered. The hand pulled noodles were a little weird with flavor. There was a great selection of noodle dishes, entrees, and rice dishes. Family friendly with indoor and outdoor seating. Prices were fair. Service was good. Ample parking. I'll go back if I'm in the area.

I visited Chef Sun McKinney Saturday night. It is a cozy and welcoming spot that’s perfect for a relaxed meal. The staff was very attentive, checking in often to make sure we had everything we needed, which made the experience even better. The ambience is really nice — warm, comfortable, and inviting. We tried a variety of dishes, and overall, the flavors were impressive. The soup dumplings and rainbow dumplings were absolutely amazing — perfectly cooked and packed with delicious, rich flavors. I highly recommend trying them! The hot pot was another standout, beautifully presented and full of deep, satisfying flavors. It’s definitely a must-order if you visit. The only dish that missed the mark a little was the three pepper chicken — it was a bit dry and didn’t carry the same flavor punch as the other dishes. Pricing was a little on the higher side, but considering the quality, atmosphere, and service, it felt worth it for a nice outing. Overall, a great place to enjoy flavorful dishes. It’s 30-45 minutes wait so plan accordingly.

Nice restaurant and friendly service. Portions were reasonable. The noodles were a bit more saucy than I prefer, but decent. Beef and lamb dishes were quite tender.

Great please to have dumplings and Chinese food. You can see the dumplings being hand made. Place is nice and service is great it also includes halal options. Reducing one star because the glasses used to serve water never look clean, over several visits the issue remains while all other dinnerware is clean so clearly they have not figured out how to operate a dishwasher. It's a minor thing but it bothers me not to be able to tell if the glass is clean nor not.

I have had Chef Sun’s at the Plano location and was in love! We were desperate to have the hand pulled noodles again. However, we made the mistake and ordered the noodle soup dish instead and there was decent flavor but lacked the spice that we were hoping for. Also, the spicy fish didn’t have as much fish as we were expecting. Will have to come back and try more options!

Starting off, service was very fast. We got our food soon after ordering. I just didn't feel anything that we got was truly remarkable. For this place, it could very well just be my experience and opinion. I tend to be passionate about food opinions, but for this one I'll say YMMV. An observation I had that I thought was interesting was that the menus seemed nearly identical to Uncle Xiao's menu in Frisco.

On my trip to Dallas I went to Chef Sun’s noodle and dumpling at their McKinney location. We made a reservation and they were very efficient with reminders. Service was very quick and the ambiance was nice and clean. Food came very fast. I ordered hot and sour soup which came on the cold side although it was steaming but not hot as soups should be. We chose all the spicy dishes which badly lacked any kick to it. The server asked us the level of spice and even after going for the highest level food wasn’t spicy at all. Chilli oil was not of typical taste. It had a kind of pickle taste because of the bay leaves. I ordered Mongolian beef, kung pao chicken, fried dumplings, edamame, scallion pancake and fried rice. Overall food was ok not something that I will try again.

I went for my last family meal lunch in Dallas before heading back to Sydney and this place quickly went from a 4 star to 2. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good, but the hygiene level was a put off. We found hair in 2 dishes not 1. The manager quickly came and removed the dishes from the bill and were happy to replace as well, but hairless in food can be a put off. Again, food - good. Hygiene - disappointed. We ordered hot and sour a oh o, spring rolls, fried rice, kung pao chicken (did have a fish taste though), noodles, beef noodles and hand stretched noodles with chicken and vegetables which was really good.

I had high expectations for this place as when we first walked in, it was incredibly busy. The server’s were sweet and friendly. However, it went downhill when they brought our dumplings and expected us to make our own soy sauce mix with a flat plate. Then once we finished our appetizers, we waited 1 hr for our main meal (sweet and sour chicken with some white rice on the side). Everybody around us got their food within 15 min and we were still waiting. We finally got sick of waiting and asked for the bill. Then they finally brought the food. I thought to myself “maybe I can finally enjoy some good food and forget the ridiculous wait…”. The chicken was inedible and the rice looks like it has been sitting out for 3 days from how dry and stale it was. Overall, would not recommend.

Food was horrible - no salt no pepper no flavor Staff was just tip hungry Never thought someone could mess up egg drop soup but it was so bland and horrible Dumplings terrible Pepper chicken? Where’s the flavor and spices? Bland as heck And on top of that - they demanded tip And saw the freezer (as shown in pics) - HUNDREDS OF FROZEN DUMPLINGS….for a place that has “dumplings” in its name - you would think dumplings would be fresh and flavor full. Extremely disappointing place especially on Valentine’s Day.
