Medellin's has a fantastic cafe scene, and Amelier Café is one of my favorites! The combination of friendly service, delicious food, and REALLY good coffee makes it a must-visit spot in the city. The vibe is just solid – whether you're looking to spend some time journaling, catching up with a friend, or knocking out some remote work, it has the perfect atmosphere and reflects the lively café culture of Medellin well.

Me comí una tarta vasca (se llama tarta Amelier en el menú) es una cosa de locos, deliciosa 😍 viene con una salsa de frutos rojos espectacular que la acompaña perfectamente, el café es delicioso y se siente de excelente calidad, también probé un croissant de tres quesos que estaba increíble también. El ambiente es muy agradable, suave y buena música.

I was there and it has nice atmosphere and good coffee and cake. The owner is friendly, however I must give a star less for service because I came a week later at the same time and wanted to meet somebody and the place was just closed.

A little overpriced for the quality of the coffee and cake

I was there 2 weeks ago and wanted to leave this review. This place has a great atmosphere and a lot of potential but they definitely need to work on their coffee and service time. Even though the waiter was very friendly, as a barista needs lots of training, capuchino had no foam and macchiato was not a macchiato. Hope you guys can improve the coffee cause I would love to go back.

The expectations were high but I did not imagine that the disappointment would be greater. There is no structure to provide minimal good service to all clients. It was one of the worst experiences we have had in recent years. We walked by this place that was close to our airbnb and decided to stop by. I arrived with my gf at 7:45pm and after flagging down their server she said they close at 8:30pm but stop serving at 8pm. We told her there was 15 mn left before closing and she would still not serve us. We were only going there to taste their coffee. Seems like she just did not want to work anymore. The worst part is that she was being rude the whole time and stuttering on her answers. These are the kind of employees that ruin a business when owners/management are not around. The place looks great and the area is decent but if you are thinking of going there (especially if you are a tourist, maybe this was the reason for lack of professionalism) I do not recommend it due to lack of professional service and customer care. I hope this message is viewed by upper management so they can improve hiring process or train their employees on proper service and attention for clients since the place seems to have a good atmosphere.
