Great little mom-and-pop restaurant great selection great food

Wow, I stumbled upon this absolute gem today. A quaint little eatery(mom and pop shop). Wide selection to choose from, sandwiches, salads to burritos and enchiladas. The interior is charming as are the owners! I implore you to check this place out! You will not be disappointed. Lovely patio seating as well.

A hidden gem in Menlo Park neighborhood. Lutticken’s have a combination menu of mexican and deli items. The ambience is very relaxing and staff is super friendly, it looked family owned. I ordered veggie burrito and gluten free clam chowder. This clam chowder was unique because it had all the flavor of fresh clam but not as thick as new England style. Veggies in the soup were cut to small size of clam making it more delicious! Veggie burrito was fresh. Overall, Highly recommend for relaxing afternoon lunch.

This is one of the best deli restaurants I ever have been. Owned by the same guy for more than 30 years now, the place has a well deserved reputation in the neighborhood. Try my favorite, the Hawaiian roasted sandwich.

A great place to grab a sandwich, burrito, etc. to go or to sit with family and friends. Seating inside and out. Friendly staff, good prices. Full bar too. Ample parking in the lot or down the street. Great location. Try the Tri-tip sandwich. Delicious!

Very good food! Great service! We traveled all the way from the El Dorado County where we live! Had a nice meal & time at your restaurant! The atmosphere is very peaceful & enjoyable! Thanks forva great Valentines Day meal for my husband & I ! Yes! We'll be back! God bless👍😁🙏

I love the food and the place, the employees that work there were very friendly. The taste of the food was very fresh. Very good portions of food. Not expensive at all. Environment​ was really nice and cozy. I will be back again with my family. I definitely will recommend it to my friends.

I love this place! This is a traditional independent “everybody knows your name” type of classic deli/restaurant, so rare in the Bay Area. And the food is great too!

And...With nothing better to do, I asked around about where to get the best deli sandwiches, and you know what...I talked to 7 people and 6 of them said "Go to Lutticken's" The 7th person was a Chinese woman that told me to go to the Happy Wok and have Spring Roll. Lutticken's sure hit the spot, the sandwiches were perfectly delicious! ☆☆☆☆☆

Great place to get some lunch. Great variety of food. Got to meet and talk to owner, seems like a nice guy. The only thing worth mentioning as a constructive coment is when you get there with a group say of 6 to 8 people they seem to try to memorize your order and keep on getting things wrong. Make Shure you get your receipt to prove what you've actually ordered. Great for a single orders have not had any issues with those.

Carlos serves up the best cocktails in the area and their whole kitchen crew serves up the most amazing menu. I will continue to come back week after week!!

Just tried this place for the first time, and I will be coming back. I had a sandwich and it was very fresh, well made, and delicious. The kids working there were all pretty nice and quick. They had a couple of football games up on the TVs and it felt comfortable and relaxed.

Shh! Our locals’ little secret: we all love this neighborhood cafe’s welcoming staff serving “After 5”: a casual supper with a tasty and broad menu with ample portions. Perfect for couples & small groups of adults seeking a getaway from kids. Nice wines, beer, and cocktails. Carlos, Brian, and Sarah ensure we enjoy the peaceful outdoor seating or the lively indoors. Live Music on certain evenings.

We had a truly wonderful experience at Lutticken’s. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, which immediately made my family feel comfortable. What really stood out was our server, Carlos. He was attentive without being overwhelming and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. He checked in on us consistently, answered our questions with patience, and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. That kind of service makes a big difference. The food was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. Every dish came out well-presented and tasted great. It’s not always easy to find a place where both the food and the service are equally strong, but Lutticken’s delivered on both. We left feeling appreciated and taken care of. A big thank you to Carlos for making our family’s meal so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back.

The communication from this restaurant is unmatched. When we sat down for dinner, the waitress promptly told us it would be quite the wait for food due to an incredibly large party. We did wait a while for food, but she consistently checked in. When it was time to pay our bill, the other large party inconveniently informed staff that they were splitting all of the bill between individuals and we witnessed the staff work diligently for 25 minutes to get every detail right on the checks and cash them out with no complaints. We also witnessed the other inebriated party treat staff poorly and overall be terrible guests to staff. Staff never wavered, acted annoyed, upset, etc. and continued communicating delays to us. 5-stars all around. Food was excellent, atmosphere was great, staff was incredible. Band was also great!

Sandwiches are great and if anything too big. The service is great and it does not take long for them to remember repeat customers. Parking is a nightmare though, especially on Fridays. I walk when I can. Beware the Bob!

HAve hit this place for lunch many times when I worked near by. Good value for the money. Casual atmosphere and friendly staff. Ask for the chicken quesadilla with the chipotle pesto.... very nice.

Very nice little establishment with lots and lots of choices on their food menu from their lunch deli to their dinner menu. Full bar available plus karaoke on Thursdays. Everything is quite expensive but the service was great and people very friendly. I will be back there again

Finally went inside this place - decent remodel decor, surprised to see they serve single-cup drip coffee. Probably a great breakfast stop if you're in the area. We weren't too impressed with the "After 5" food though. Recently had a deli sandwich with the house roasted sliced turkey and it was quite good. Definitely a good lunch stop option.

First time that I came I had a mojado burrito, which was giant, particularly given the price. Interior of the restaurant is really nice looking for a deli-ish place. Employees seemed uninterested in acknowledging my arrival for a surprisingly long time. Burrito was a 4/10 in terms of flavor. Came back some weeks later with my spouse because this place is so convenient. Got a sandwich, which was better than the burrito; service was also better. Would give 3.5 stars, but probably slightly closer to 3 than 4.

Nice people but my sandwich was $11 so it wasnt worth that price. And when I looked inside it appears I received more tomato 'skin' than tomato fruit (see picture).

I'm reviewing my experience this week. First let me say that up to now I've found Lutticken's food good and atmosphere cosy, and special shoutout to young gentleman server and sandwich maker who's always been great. But I had a downright bizarre situation happen as I was working there this week. I had been working on my laptop in the early afternoon after having lunch there. Working out that morning and being a hungry person, I ordered a combo plate, then another salad after that, and a green tea. By the late afternoon, Bob the proprietor came by and started to tell me that I was "looking sloppy" and that I had not ordered enough food to justify staying as long as I had. Keep in mind that I ordered the equivalent of two full lunches and a drink, and that there were free tables to the left and right of me. Never in my years of working at cafes had I had someone been this direct and awkward, kicking me out after having bought two full lunches and a drink. Just a bizarre and rude situation. I don't like to be judged or discriminated based on appearance, being called "sloppy", and being kicked out after ordering multiple meals. Nor do I think anyone deserves this. Granted there were a lot of things on my table. But what I've seen at other fine dining and drink establishments is that the hosts ask if they could take that away and tidy up. Sensible solution and full of tact. Or I would have been happy to throw it away myself. But to have comments on my appearance and be asked to leave was just dumbfounding. Come here if you like, but if you don't appreciate being discriminated based on your appearance and told to leave after ordering multiple full meals, I suggest you go elsewhere. Or the very least an apology?

Had the Cobb salad and chef salad. Underwhelming: no eggs, sad bacon bits, although the chicken was tasty. served in plastic to go container for dine in so not environmentaly friendly.

Maybe it's a Sunday staff situation non of the 3 workin today were overly friendly, got the Hawaiian Grilled Sandwich thrifty portion of Ham . Maybe it's better during the week but I won't be back cause I can get a superior Deli Sandwich a traditional deli or market.

We came here, first time, to listen to a friend sing here. We looked at their website. The menu looked nice. They have an online offer for a free glass of house wine when you check in. i went through theur check in process. A notice popped up on friend' Facebooks, saying I had checked in here. When we got here, we were told the wine offer is no longer offered. Our meal starts off with a bad taste in my mouth.

Not clean food preparation: Just came out of this restaurant. They dont wear gloves to make your sandwich. They touch everywhere and continue making your sandwich with bare hands. I left my food non touched and never ever go back there. Restrooms were so unclean. I am so angry about it.

Was so disappointed to witness a huge food safety violation on my first visit after moving back to the area. Staff was handling food with bare hands WITHOUT proper handwashing. For example, I witnessed a staff member go from ringing transactions and handling cash to handling food without washing his hands at all. The “handwashing” I did witness consisted of running hands under water for ~5-10 seconds without soap and wiping damp hands on a rag left sitting on a food prep counter. Ultimately I did not feel safe eating my food after watching the practically nonexistent handwashing practices used by the staff.

Well explain how they made the wrong sandwich when I called it Veggie at the prep station but charged me the right amount when I called it Veggie at the cash register. Get a grip! Customers are not stupid and own your mistakes. If by calling I would have received an apology it would have been 1000 times better and I would have said no worries at all, it means I need to come back sooner for my fix. Anyone can make a mistake and I always excuse people when they make a silly mistake like this but putting it on me that's not acceptable.
