Philz Coffee Menlo Park Reviews
During our last time in the Bay Area, one of our favourite coffee joint was Philz Coffee. Every single cup would be freshly grounded and brewed right in front of you. Also, there’s a signature of Philz Coffee known as Iced Mint Mojito where you’ll be amazed by the combination of mint, sweetness and creaminess that complements their freshly grounded and brewed coffee so well. It was still just as good as we remembered! This time, we had the – Pork sausage and egg Breakfast Burrito ($7) – Mint Mojito Iced Coffee ($7.1), Large Iced Creamy Sweet – Twice Baked Almond Croissant Toasted ($5.25) – Iced Honey Haze ($7.1), Large Iced Creamy Sweet, to-go We also like the terms “sweet” for how you’d like the sweetness that ranged from light, medium to sweet and “creamy” for how much milk you’d like from light medium to creamy”. Together, “sweet and creamy” not only indicates the sweetness and milkiness of your coffee but also as a familiar way of ordering drinks from Philz Coffee... Had a great experience at Philz Coffee in Menlo Park. I ordered the turkey sausage breakfast sandwich, a chicken and rice burrito, a Mint Mojito, and an Arabic coffee — and everything was honestly delicious. The breakfast sandwich was warm and satisfying, the burrito was surprisingly filling and well-seasoned, and both drinks were spot on. The Mint Mojito was refreshing as always, and the Arabic coffee had a bold, smooth flavor. On top of that, the workers were super friendly and welcoming — you can tell they really care about customer service. Definitely a place I’d come back to.
This Philz coffee is always the easiest to get to! Their Philtered Soul is great, and the beans are usually fresher here than buying them at grocery store! Highly recommended and great customer service
Very friendly staff. Guided through ordering process. I Got the Medium Tesora Cold Brew with light cream and sugar for $6.15. Philz coffee is always delicious, it’s just more expensive than other spots. Because of their popularity and bc they prepare each cup drip, you’ll wait longer too.
Nice coffee especially Iced Mint Mojito!😍 Recommend! ☕️
This place is awesome - great coffee makers but if you get confused with the location they are able to easily help you out. Amazing staff - thank you! 🙏🏼
Good place to snag a brew and work. Has power plugs inside and seating outside

Wonderful staff and coffee. I will definitely return again :D
I usually dine in the cafes when I want to work on my laptop and based on where I am geographically, I choose the best places. And if there is a Philz cafe around, it’s definitely my choice. My every-time choice is iced mint mojito with its creamy and smooth sweetness.
why don’t their baristas get stock bonds anymore
Favorite coffee shop in the Bay Area. Great coffee, pastries, breakfast burritos, and service. Our go to place for beans as well.
Good coffee. Nice vanilla scone. Has air conditioning inside and nicely shaded outdoor tables w/tented umbrellas. It was hot that day and the umbrella definitely helped. Cafe Borrone is often crowded, esp. Sunday's. Philzwill become a very popular alternative. Bathroom clean. Staff very customer-friendly. Prices pretty comparable to upscale coffee places. Across from Menlo Park Caltrain station. Nice place to grab coffee prior to boarding the train!

Coffee was good, tastes like Philz coffee. Staff was friendly, service was quick. Good instance of a chain coffee place. First thing I noticed was the nice, lofty ceilings and the welcoming energy of the space. Has tall windows that swing open to let in a nice breeze. Ample seating, and not too busy at noon. Wall space had lots of local events and listings posted-felt very community oriented. Also, loved the music selection! (2010s, Frank Ocean etc).
I’ve been coming to this Philz for nearly a year now. The coffee is good and the staff have been pleasant during each interaction I‘ve had with them. Yesterday, I was wearing a Stanford jacket while ordering, and therefore I received a free upgrade from a small to a medium-more Tantalizing Turkish to go around! Turns out, they have a deal this weekend where Stanford students get a free size upgrade. I’ll definitely be going back soon.
Not sure what's the big deal about one cup at a time. I didn't find the hot Tesoro any special. Some chairs outside and a bench right next to Caltrain station made it easy to enjoy the coffee.
Good coffee, decent place to study if you have noise cancelling headphones. Music is very loud. Half the time you won't find parking though. You'll either have to park across the street at the train station and pay for that parking, or you get one of the few spots next to the shop.
I don’t like flavored latte and the place is a bit messy.

Service was fast and courteous, location was great, parking was easy, interior was clean but unfortunately coffee wasn’t great. The temperature was lukewarm at best and really watery. Maybe I’ve been drinking too much Peet’s lately but I was really underwhelmed. It’s been years since I’ve been to a Philz but I have fond memories of a rich cup of Tesora that felt luxurious in my mouth. I was so unimpressed that I literally did not even bother finishing half of my coffee.
I had a train in 15 min. The place WASN'T BUSY AT ALL. I asked them if they could do it in the time frame, and they said they could. I don't know if its because of my age, but the people behind me were getting their coffees and I was still waiting. Then my train came and I didn't have my coffee and 5 dollars were wasted. I'm very frustrated because all customers are customers regardless of what they look like, and the first should have the priority, and despite the delicious coffee that I have had at this location in the past, I am VERY disappointed with the poor treatment I received, and I hope the priorities will remain in the future. I didn't get my coffee and instead, all I got was disappointment in this shop, and my money gone to waste.

I love Philz coffee, so I stopped in this morning, bought a pound of my favorite blend, and ordered a cup to go. I even tipped them 20% up-front. 20 minutes of waiting later, I go up to the counter to inquire why other people are getting their order before me. They hadn't bothered to put my name into the queue. Gee, thanks! Really earned that tip.

The first time I buy coffee and a pastry. I asked for an almond croissant and when I started to eat it tasted bad and seriously kind of hard, like it was from the day before. I inquired and was told it was from that morning. Honestly I had really good pastries in the area but that one was not baked this morning! It’s not even fluffy like the one’s just baked😬
