Darmagi Mercenasco Reviews
Andiamo da qualche anno. Buonissimo e bellissimo tutto.
Servizio professionale e preciso
I went for a graduation lunch, and I had a great time. The place is very charming and welcoming, and the food is excellent; the dishes are very tasty and carefully prepared. I didn't take any photos of the dishes because I couldn't even get them before I started eating them, because they were so delicious.
We went to Darmagi for New Year's Eve dinner. It was, as usual, a magnificent experience. The location, the food, the service, everything was absolutely perfect. So many details you'd rarely find in other restaurants: the beautifully set table, the stellar menu, five sets of cutlery, and for the midnight toast they left one or more bottles of brut (excellent) for each table. All at a more than fair price. My heartfelt compliments for everything.
Darmagi has been our super favorite restaurant for many years—I think more than 20! Every year, my daughter and I love enjoying the splendid menu, which is always a guarantee of quality. Refined atmosphere, attentive and attentive service, and dishes designed and prepared with imagination and care. On Saturdays and Sundays, the Piedmontese fritto misto, prepared to perfection, is almost impossible to find these days. Excellent value for money, highly recommended. See you soon!
We were here for lunch recommended by a friend, what can I say, a very welcoming and beautiful place. There are 3 rooms, one yellow, one red, and a new one all in beautiful antique wood. Let's move on to the food, we took a tasting menu, not the usual tasting. For me, a complete lunch was the tartare and the veal with tuna sauce. What can I say, spectacular. Another hot appetizer, a basil flan, followed by 2 delicious first courses: lasagna with porcini mushrooms, gnocchi with nettles, rabbit steak, dessert, zabaglione. And what can I say about the wine? A delicious Crivelli ruche. What can I say? Go, impeccable service, everyone is very kind.
Fantastic experience from the moment we came in to the moment we left. We had a bday dinner and it really felt like being home with such great service and warm environment. The menu offers both traditional dishes from Piemonte and not, all of high quality and great taste. Amazing wine list. Warmly recommend.
Darmagi is a little bit of a hidden gem. We have been twice now, in November 2024 with a white truffle option and in May 2025. The interiors aren’t on the pulse of modern trends, perhaps a little bit stuck in a nostalgic dream but that’s ok. It has a homely interior like my grandmother’s house. With one of the best and most affordable wine lists in the area, great Barolos from the last two decades there is something for serious winos to dive into the list. Absolutely delicious tajarin and an impressive selection of local cheeses paired with vermouth (not pictured). We have only eaten inside but they also have a generous covered terrace. Looking forward to visiting again in the future
Had lunch for the first time today with friends. I can only give it top marks, both for the food and the service, and of course for the very elegant and original venue. The private dining rooms are very charming. I tried typical Piedmontese cuisine, including the excellently prepared fritto misto.
Family lunch on Sunday. The menu is rich in traditional Piedmontese and other dishes, and the chef's quality and creativity are unmatched. The dishes are absolutely delicious. Professional, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable service: congratulations! The prices are above average, but the quality of the products and service justify it all. Highly recommended if you want to try good Piedmontese cuisine!
What can I say? Fantastic! The location is beautiful, meticulously maintained and immaculately maintained. The food is exquisite, with a slightly revisited Piedmontese menu that we'll remember for a long time. The staff is very courteous and always smiling. All washed down with an excellent Erbaluce di Caluso!
Nestled in the greenery of Mercenasco lies this small (but not overly so) and quaint restaurant. There's a large side parking lot with plenty of parking spaces, and the restaurant offers a fairytale-like and welcoming atmosphere, complete with a fireplace in the dining room. The food is all excellent quality and beautifully prepared, both in appearance and flavor. The prices are perfectly in keeping with the cuisine, and there's also a very affordable tasting menu that offers a sampling of the house specialties. Perfect for romantic dinners.
Excellent restaurant near Mercenasco, located on a hill surrounded by greenery. Convenient private parking. A tastefully furnished dining room in rustic style; a fireplace warms the space. Just a few tables allows for excellent service. Quality ingredients are interpreted by the chef according to ancient Piedmontese recipes. An extensive menu (including fish dishes) and an excellent wine list are available. One of the specialties is the fritto misto. Professional and courteous staff.
Lovely lunch at this elegant restaurant. A real pearl worth a detour.
A truly excellent restaurant located in a private villa surrounded by a garden. We had lunch on a terrace with large umbrellas. As soon as we sat down, we were served sparkling wine and stuffed focaccia to welcome us. Everything was excellent, from the asparagus flan to the gnocchi and the Piedmontese fritto misto; the dessert menu deserves special mention. The dark chocolate gianduiotto with fruit sauces was spectacular. A free half-portion of agnolotti for the child—a truly wonderful gift! A place we'll definitely return to!
Ambiente romantico e accogliente, adatto per un un pranzo romantico.. cucina ottima
Gorgeous atmosphere, food personally pretty average. Extensive wine selection. Prices a bit exaggerated.
A restaurant close to nature. I had lunch on a Sunday outside. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the traditional Piedmontese dishes were delicious, beautifully presented and slightly reinterpreted, and the desserts were generous. You can choose between the set menu and the à la carte menu. There was a bit of a wait between courses, the table linens were nice, but everything could be improved. Prices were medium to high. I had a lovely Sunday and would gladly return. I recommend it because the food is good!
Good restaurant, very nice atmosphere, especially during the holidays. The only problem is the bill... unfortunately, since there are so many people, it's easy to take away or add a dish to the bill of the diners (even if we paid for the same table as the same family). This service is unfortunately not good. Furthermore, I found that, as usual, the dishes are not served to the ladies first, and this does not do the restaurant credit. Excellent staff, but the bill and the service need to be reviewed. Try hiring a few more waiters, and certainly everything will improve.
Tried to book online as couldn’t contact via phone. Emailed to book for 5 , they sent a message back to confirm but we needed to apparently confirm again. Which we didn’t understand as it wasnt very clear on the message. Next time just answer yes or no. So when we arrived thinking we had booked, the welcome was very rude. Just their horrible behavior would put me off ever going again.
