El lugar es ideal para ir a comer de día y para tomar unos drinks de noche. Yo fui a comer con mi familia y pedimos la barbacoa de res que fue mi favorita, de entrada guacamole con grillos que es super mexicano y para rematar unos panuchos de pulpo y kastakan que no encontrarás en otra parte. No podía faltar el postre que estuvo ufff… el Brownie con helado. De día el ambiente es muy tranquilo pero de noche se pone muchísimo mejor.

No puedo decir más que tuve una excelente experiencia, el servicio fue fenomenal y en la parte de atrás que está la proyección es impresionante. 🫨 ¡Super recomendando!💫 es toda una experiencia esa pared con proyección. The food was super good, we enjoyed what we ate. The music gives a nice atmosphere to the place. However, we were a bit disappointed by the waiter’s reaction after we paid: seemed our tip was insufficient to him and all of a sudden he became quite impolite. As students, we thought 5% would be enough? It was a pity to end this wonderful diner like that.

Dining at Catrín was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and intimate, with ambient lighting that set the perfect mood. Every dish on the menu looked absolutely mouthwatering, making it nearly impossible to choose just one! We finally decided on the sweet potato tacos, paired with guacamole and chips to share. The portions were generous, the flavors bold and fresh, and every bite was a delight. Our server, Junior, was incredible—attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about ensuring we had a great experience. The highlight of the evening was the courtyard light show. Probably the best tacos I've ever had (Gobernado y Lechon). Their Ceviche is the most unique I've tasted. Catrin is a must visit in Merida! Generous portions for your entire group and salsa sampling you won't forget. Their seasoned chips were also a delicious delight.

Very chill and good service. Ordered Arroz with octopus and shrimp, taste of tomato sauce and char grill had a perfect balance. Octopus is tender and shrimp is fresh. Also tried the seafood stuffed pepper , be cautious- it’s very spicy even for a person who has high tolerance on spicy level. Atmosphere is also quiet. The backyard is very fun lighting during night, recommend a walk!

We’ve only been in Mexico for a couple of days but dinner at Catrin has been a highlight so far. Fantastic atmosphere especially in the garden, amazing cocktails and really great food. Service was brilliant and very helpful, we are travelling with a coeliac and there were heaps of choices, the staff really knew which dishes would be ok or not -

🍽️Came for the food, stayed for the bumping music🎶 - The complimentary chips and 4 very different salsas were a great start to the meal and it ready only got better from there. - Pumpkin flower empanadas: Loved the avocado for cutting through the crispy and cheesy Empanadas. This appetizer was nice, ‘the calm before the taste storm’ that is to come. - Gaoneras w/bone marrow: If the crispy cheese and beef fillet isn’t enough, the baked bone marrow will have you swooning! I can not recommend this enough. - Chicken skewers: This came out good. Veggies were the hero here. I love it when something simple is done well. - Pork belly BBQ: This was a miss for us. It was the salsa verde. We knew going in that it would be there we just didn’t know the Pork belly would be smothered in it. As I like to provide solutions: I wonder if the sauce could be provided on the side so the customer can add as they see fit? Otherwise, the pork belly itself was cooked well - the green salsa’s tangy-spicy flavors threw us. - Cratin cookie: I LOVED THIS! A cookie that is half peanut butter half chocolate chip with vanilla ice cream and berry jam. What?! - x3 Limonada - x3 Margarita - Total: 1,299 Pesos (~$65 US) - Atmosphere: After reading the reviews I knew I wanted to try this place, the first night we tried and it was full so we came back the next day for a late lunch - it was well worth it. The real treat here is the music and the beautiful art. The outdoor area has a stage and fantastic mural. If you are on a tight schedule, I suggest booking beforehand. Alguna de las veces que estuvimos de visita en Mérida pasamos por el lugar pero no habíamos detenido a entrar y probar los cócteles y comida. Todo está rico y variado así como los precios muy adecuados a cada platillo. Las bebidas muy bien preparadas y la música hace que el lugar se ponga interesante. Es para ir con amigos o pareja porque podrías estar dentro o fuera del lugar creo que dependerá de la hora o la época del año porque ahora que fui hacia mucho calor

El lugar y la atención son excelentes. Un servicio muy amable. Los esquites son en definitiva algo que volvería a pedir mil veces y recomiendo, así como los tacos de cecina, estaban DELICIOSOS. Se agradece muchísimo que a pesar de estar en el corredor gastronómico tengan salsas que verdaderamente pican 🙏🏻

Bonito Lugar. Al ver la fachada, no te imaginas, que por dentro el inmueble sea muy bonito. La comida está espectacular, entre otras cosas probamos: • Tacos de gobernador 10/10 • Quesabirrias 10/10 • Burrito de Arrachera 9/10. Las bebidas de igual forma, súper bien presentadas y de sabor, excelentes. Solo algo que podría cuestionar, es la calidad de servicio. El mesero que nos atendió, fue muy deficiente, no era atento, entre otras cosas. El servicio lo salvó su compañero Ramses, el cual en todo momento fue súper amable y muchísimo más atento que su compañero. La Hostess igual, muy amable al momento de recibirnos. En general es un restaurante muy bonito por su inmueble y sus excelentes alimentos. Sin embargo, tendrías que está al pendiente de que Mesero atiende.

My partner and I stumbled upon this restaurant on the afternoon of NYE. We decided to pop in for a mid-afternoon meal. The space is decorated beautifully. We were sat at a table at the back patio. The atmosphere was fun and lively, with a lot of families enjoying their meals together. We were happy with the drinks we ordered. Our apps (esquites and roasted beets) were fantastic, but that's when it went downhill. I ordered the sweet potato with mole. The mole was fantastic, but the sweet potatoes were undercooked (crunchy) and the whole dish was covered with a very heavily dressed (read: wet) salad. The dish was marked as vegan but had dairy cheese crumbled over it. My partner ordered the brisket and while he was eating it, he thought it tasted like pork. He asked the server if it was pork and the server LAUGHED at him and said it was the beef brisket. Lo and behold, we got our cheque and it said CARNITAS on the menu. Not the brisket that was ordered. Mistakes happen, but the fact that the server laughed at us like we were stupid gringos that don't know the difference between pork and beef really left a sour taste in our mouths.

Beautiful space with chill vibes, friendly waitstaff and fusion inspired Mexican cuisine. The space is lovely, with a rustic polished stone interior splashed with brilliant art work and subdued lighting, its both intimate and festive. The outdoor dining space is highlighted by a colorful walled mural, and outdoor bar. Inside or out, the food competes well with the decor, nicely spiced with a density of flavor. Moderately priced, but worth the spend. The waitstaff is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, making ordering, or having questions answered simple. Treat yourself, its worth it.

La comida en Catrín (Mérida) estuvo espectacular. Las quesabirrias y el guacamole fueron, sin duda, lo mejor de la noche: sabores increíbles y una elaboración de diez. Sin embargo, la experiencia se vio empañada por la mala actitud del gerente. Le pedí amablemente que me llenara un poco más la copa de vino tinto (decían haber puesto 150 ml, y difícilmente llegaba a dos dedos de copa) y que por lo menos tuviera la decencia de servir el único vino que ofrecen, en la mesa, delante del cliente; no se sirve un vino en la barra sin saber lo que te están poniendo y sin siquiera decir qué vino es. Especialmente si el precio que te cobran es elevado para una copa irrisoria. Desde luego que muy poco tacto para “ganarse” a los clientes. Por suerte, la atención de un camarero muy joven compensó en gran parte este mal momento. Muy simpático, atento y con auténticas ganas de servir. Da gusto encontrarse con profesionales así. En resumen: comida excelente, atención irregular. Ojalá todo el servicio siguiera el ejemplo del camarero joven.

Llevo visitando el lugar desde el 2019 y jamás había tenido tan mal servicio. Ni un hola al llegar, en la barra tuve yo pedir algo porque jamás se me ofreció nada, la carta de alimentos ni se diga, tuve que pedirle y jamás nadie se acercó a tomar comanda, preferí dejar el lugar, una lástima, me encantaba no creo regresar y mucho menos recomendarlo. Triste.

Excelente sabor de los alimentos, las quesabirrias lo mejor. El tema comenzó a la hora de pagar, nuestro mesero Julio a la hora de cobrarme el resto de la cuenta me estaba cobrando $700 pesos de más, me hizo la cuenta y no me cuadraba pero a él le seguía saliendo ese excedente, hasta que yo la saqué y claramente habían 700 pesos agregados y al notar que me percaté del error en lugar de disculparse, se notó molesto, la verdad ese tipo de acciones bajan mucho la percepción del lugar.
