The only reliable and honest review you need! We've been coming to this place for almost two years straight, and honestly, the flavor and service haven't changed. Here are my tips: - The MOST important thing: they don't accept cards, only cash, so bring cash and be prepared. - If you go on the weekend (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday), be prepared to wait a little longer than usual since all the food is made to order. The approximate wait time is 20-30 minutes when the place is full. *CLOSED WEDNESDAYS* - Keep in mind that the steamed sandwiches are only available occasionally on Saturdays or Sundays. - I highly recommend the appetizers; my favorites are the turkey panucho with a ball, the ground beef panucho with egg, and the cheese empanadas (daisy or ball with ground beef). - Their natural fruit drinks are fresh and available seasonally. - I recommend ordering the broths and the tortas (Mexican sandwiches) as specials. - They offer takeout, although it can be a little slow. - The prices are very good considering the portions, with a maximum of $150 pesos per person. I hope you can enjoy this place that we love so much. You pay at the register, and sometimes you might even run into Doña Lore herself! 🙂‍↕️🤭

The food is very good, honestly, one of the best in the area, but the service is completely off-putting. I've called in several times and it seems like they're doing me a favor by answering my call and taking my order. Both the girl at the register and some women who sometimes work there are quite rude. It really seems like they're doing me a favor. It's worth it, but especially for takeout, because eating there is a bit annoying, or at least for me, being treated that way is very annoying.

The lighting was striking, but the food left much to be desired. I doubt the turkey panucho was actually turkey, or that the stew tasted more like Michoacán-style beef (see photo). The turkey broth didn't taste like turkey. I don't really know what kind of meat it is or how it's cooked, but a good, healthy panucho is made with Indian- or Yucatecan-style turkey, roasted and seasoned with achiote, and the meat is white and clean. I'm sorry to say I won't be returning...
