Milanesa Mexico Reviews
A great restaurant serving Mexican-style milanesas inspired by Argentinian cuisine. Owned by a Venezuelan (who also owns Orale Arepa), they offer Venezuelan options on the menu for both desserts and appetizers. The portions are generous, justifying the price, as they include side dishes and salad. The ingredients and preparation are high-quality, allowing the flavors to shine since everything is freshly made. I recommend asking for salt, pepper, and lemon to season your milanesas.
It lives up to its reputation as a milanesa specialist. I really enjoyed it; it's a very pleasant place with a casual atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a delicious meal and chatting. Just a heads up, the portions are generous, so if you're not a big eater, you can order a milanesa or a sandwich to share—they're delicious! 😋 I'll definitely be back!
One thing I really miss while living in Mexico is sitting at the bar (whether in a restaurant or a bar). It's pretty uncommon here, and even when it exists, it's not done well. This restaurant has one of the best bar/counter-seating set-ups I've even seen here: most of the space is a long counter, with plush, fancy seats and the counter set at the right height. That's actually what got me to notice this place at all. Ambience is good, food is good, wine list is short/simple but nicely-curated (and a glass of wine is large).
Yo, the sandwiches are dope. Cubano five stars. This place is my favorite lunch spot in CDMX. Five stars Michelin. Go here. Ciao mofos. Culebra Partners 4ever.
A place specializing in milanesas (beef, chicken, pork, and vegetarian) with a wide variety of flavors. The portions are generous, and you can customize your order. We ordered a Florentine milanesa, a Mediterranean milanesa, and a combination milanesa (Argentine style) with four cheeses. All came with a delicious salad and a choice of side: amazing mashed potatoes, French fries, or mac and cheese. For dessert, we ordered a Ferrero Rocher cake and a lemon pie, along with a delicious latte. The place is small but quite pleasant, the staff is very friendly and makes you feel right at home, the tables and chairs are comfortable, and the atmosphere is cool and well-organized. There's a wait, but it's worth it. As a suggestion, they should offer decaf coffee.
How have I walked by this place without trying it until today? Atmosphere and service top notch- and the food was incredible inventive and fairly priced. Huge portions, fresh and fast. A new favorite. Thank you!
Delicious sandwiches! Excellent service! Highly recommend.
Great food, concept and the service it’s really friendly and an amazing atmosphere.
What a place, amazing milanesas, incredible side dishes. The ambiance is stunning and the service top notch.
It's one of those secret cool places in Mexico City. Get transported to the 1950s with a classic Milanga.
Delicious milanesas, great service and a fun place to have a good time with friends, totally recommended!
The place is small and there's usually a line on weekends, but it's totally worth the wait. The menu is a sure thing: simple and well-executed. The flavors deliver, and the experience is honest and satisfying. The tequeños are a must-try; they're truly one of the best things on the menu and make the visit worthwhile. Ideal for something casual and well-prepared.
A great place to eat a milanesa! Good quality ingredients, good portions, and the place is nice, but a little heads up! The wine list is reasonably priced. The veal was cooked perfectly and the breading was well done. The empanadas were reasonably good. I ordered an Argentinian wine, ideal to accompany the dish. I would definitely return; they have sandwiches that look very good. It's a great place, check it out! Approved!
The restaurant stands out for its specialty in milanesas, a dish prepared with excellent seasoning and generous portions. The menu offers enough variety to suit all tastes, and the price-quality ratio is very good: you can eat delicious food without spending too much. The milanesas are crispy, well-plated, and accompanied by classic sides like mashed potatoes or French fries. The mashed potatoes, although tasty, were a bit dry on this occasion, while the fries are reminiscent of McDonald's in flavor and texture, albeit smaller in size. The sangrias deserve a special mention: they come in a good size, fresh, and at a more than fair price, ideal for accompanying your meal. The atmosphere is simple, unpretentious, but pleasant. However, the space is small, so it's best to arrive early or be patient, as it's common to have to wait for a table, especially during peak hours. They don't have their own parking lot, so you have to find a spot on the street, which can be a challenge depending on the time of day. Even with these details, it's worth the visit: it's a place where you can eat well, with a homemade flavor, honest prices, and an average cost of approximately 500 pesos per person.
The menu is small, and the portions are average. I saw reviews mentioning they're too large, but I didn't think so. I ordered a Milanese with no special toppings; it wasn't crispy, and the flavor was average, nothing spectacular. The place is very small; if there are a lot of people, I recommend making a reservation.
