4D Gelateria South Pointe: Flavorful Scoops and Truly Human Service Stopped by 4D Gelateria South Pointe and had a genuinely lovely experience. I asked for three scoops, and the staff kindly recommended Oreo, pistachio, and coconut—a combination that turned out to be absolutely delicious. My friend went for two scoops, and we both agreed: the flavors were rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. But beyond the gelato, what stood out most was the warm, human service. The staff were kind, patient, and clearly wanted us to enjoy the experience, not just the dessert. Verdict: A sweet stop with soul If you’re near South Pointe and craving something sweet, 4D Gelateria is a perfect stop—not just for the gelato, but for the way they make you feel.
Not sure why this place doesn’t get more recognition. It is legit a gelato lover’s dream! It’s The gelato is so tasty, with a rich, creamy texture that’s pure perfection. Not too sweet, just the right balance of indulgence. I went wild sampling flavors (they let me try as much as I wanted—love that lol), and the pistachio, coconut, and cookies and cream stole the show Pistachio was nutty bliss, coconut was a tropical escape, and cookies and cream had decadent chunks in every bite (think traditional rich creamy cookies and cream with the right amount of crunch and grainy rocky cookie texture). Staff were super friendly, super patient Pro tip.. eat as much of the gelato INSIDE as you can.. bc as soon as you’re outside.. DRIP DRIP MELT CITY Have been back and still share the same level of enthusiasm.. surprisingly really high quality gelato in the tiny corridors of south beach!
Yummy Gelatin👌 Store Location: 5/5 (South Pointe Drive, Miami Beach) Ambience: 5/5 Gelatin Options: 5/5 Taste: 5/5 My Story: My wife and I were walking back to Miami beach after a sumptuous dinner at Joes Stone and Crab restaurant. We had cravings for a nice dessert. This Gelateria 4D resides right across the Joes restaurant. We wanted to give it a try. We had cream caramel and Ferrero Rocher. My wife kept on telling me that the Ferrero Rocher tastes exactly as the real Ferrero Rocher. Inloves the cream caramel. It was so nice. We finished both the scoops in no time. It was a nice memory. Just go for it 👍
First time coming over here and let me tell you the Gelato was so delicious. The parking is suck because is hard to find one specially on the weekends. The parking cost $4 per 1 hour on the weekends.
Been coming here for over 8 years that I have lived on the South Beach. Great ice cream and Service everytime. My Girl and I love going for Ice Cream and a walk in South Pointe Park.
The best gelato in SoBe, all the flavors are very good and made with the best ingredients. My favorites are stracciatella & vanilla with whip cream but also coconut and chocolate are yummy! Give it a try!!
Omg, this place is amazing, the ice cream amazing, the service incredible, I love it and I go every weekend.
Delicious gelato. Lots of taste to choose. Very creamy and fresh. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.
great gelato, one of the best i’ve ever had! got to try 2 samples before ordering and portions were great!

The best gelato I've ever had! We got the coffee, Ferrero, and brownie flavours in a cone 🍦🍨
We love the real italian gelato so when you are on the craving for gelato this is your number one stop and is closer to the south point park so noce complement to walk and eat gelato
Ferrero Roche Gelato was incredible. My favorite.
The ice cream is miraculous here! If you nearby here you definitely have to try it!
Friendly customer service, cute atmosphere and delicious desserts!!
Superb gelato and wonderful late night spot
Good customer service, great Pistachio Gelato.
Sure it looks like a bank inside but damn is the gelatto delicious! Best gelatto we had in all of Miami Beach! Do yourself a favor and stop in!
Love this place , every time when I am in the area getting ice cream from here is a must! Very clean, a lot of different flavors!
Mili was so kind and took care of us very well, and the gelato was delicious!
Good gelato. Loved all flavored I tasted. Was super confused to pick one. Loved nutella, sneakers, tiramisu alot.
Very good ice cream, clean bathroom, hidden gem you have to find first in this location.
It was my girlfriends birthday and the gentleman working was very generous, kind and thoughtful. Thank u...and the gelato was delicious.
Their gelato has a great creamy texture as it should. Taste is great. Recommended
If you want to enjoy a rich creamy ice cream and unforgettable flavor, you must visit 4D gelateria in South Point Miami Beach.
Biking on south point park south an icecream on your hand... priceless! Live their gelato and the location is perfect.
This is the real Italian Gelato. I had too many choices but went with the nutella and it was amazing.
5 stars for the ice cream zero stars for the service
Love their Gelato, especially the hazelnut, cherry and stracciatela. Yum!
The gelato is absolutely delicious the service though extremely rude
Delicious gelato! I went last night and got a small with 2 flavors - tiramisu and nutella. Both were very tasty, and you could really taste the espresso and cinammon flavors in the tiramisu. It's a friendly, fun place, and you get a very generous portion for the price. I love that it's close to the marina so lovely to get a cup to go and walk over to the waterfront.
4D Gelateria offers a delightful culinary experience that combines the artistry of gelato-making with the excitement of immersive 4D technology. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, with an array of flavors displayed like works of art. Each scoop is crafted with precision and care, resulting in rich, creamy gelato that tantalizes the taste buds. The incorporation of 4D elements adds a unique twist, engaging multiple senses for a truly memorable treat. Whether you're a traditionalist or an adventurous flavor-seeker, 4D Gelateria offers something to delight every palate.
Have been here many times, a variety of flavors makes an impression. Like their fresh flavors like mango and passion fruit.
Really amazing gelato and great options. The perfect location to grab a cold treat on a hot day and walk on Southpointe Park Pier. The staff is really friendly. Highly recommended if you are near Miami Beach.
Love it. It's next to one of my favorite spots in Miami to go to the beach, South Point, and the variety in flavors was good. We had a lovely interaction with the owner....it was a great experience.
Best gelato & very nice staff, we love this place @ South Pointe location
Thank you very much to the friendly girl who was working behind the counter today around 5-6 PM - I left my phone charger at home accidentally and she let me borrow hers so I could charge my phone to call an Uber.
Such a wonderful place! The ice cream was really delicious. The Italian owner of the gelateria was friendly and even let me try the ice cream before I made a purchase. I definitely recommend this place!

After a warm day we decided to cool off with some ice cream to seal the night. Ice cream tasted great! It was very rich and sweet, we went about an hour before they closed and for a minute it did seem like they were closed but they were just setting up their close considering it was under an hour before close. The waffle cup was a great way to eat the dessert! They had a good selection of flavors and cones too! A nice place for a snack on a hot day.

The ice cream is really good, the place is nothing special, so just grab and go ☺️
Great gelato, original flavors and good service.
Wonderful and refreshing! Just a little too hot in the store & slightly overpriced
ice creams are good, nice place place to cool down!
Iot of flavors ...so difficult to choose..all are delicious!
So yummy. Service was nice. Gelato was delicious.
Delicious gelato. The man was very nice and gave us genuine amounts of gelato to try before we made our final decisions.
Carla dropped her creme Carmel because of the hot weather...no black cherry...but seriously..the gelatto is insanely good..
The service was outstanding and probably the friendliest I've received in all of South Beach thus far. The Gelato was good, but only existed in three dimensions rather than the advertised four. The flavor was decently good but not as mind-blowing as I would have expected. But again, service was fantastic!
Nice gelato place, let us try many flavors, overpriced but normal for South Beach
Best gelato I've had in the USA. Superb texture. The pistachio, hazelnut, chocolate, coconut and sour cherry flavors are amazing! Only reason no 5 stars is pricing, it is expensive.
The icecream wasn’t all that I’m a big gelato fan but honestly wasn’t impressed. They don’t let you try any flavor which kind of sucks. My family and I got all different ones and the best flavors were Hazelnut, Ferrero,And Caramel. We are a family of 3 and got the waffle bowl and 3 scoops each and paid $40 bucks a little expensive in my opinion. Wouldn’t come back or recommend.

Subpar gelato, staff seemed friendly. The crepes are good!
You do not get what you pay for very tricky and building your ice cream cup
Service was great but the coffee was not that good. The espresso we ordered didn't even have crema. May be worth looking into the machine to see if it needs maintainance.
$60 for 4 gelatos. What a disgrace. The owners ought to be ashamed of themselves. P.S. the service was actually pretty good.
I wouldn’t call it the best gelato as you would find in ROMA, FIRENZE,VENEZIA, MILANO, NAPOLI but the staff is extremely friendly- two women from Argentina and Venezuela. The gelato didn’t have the same richness as ones in Italy and the flavors weren’t as intense. We had coconut, pistachio, chocolate, strawberry. None were memorable except the price. We threw the pistachio away. It’s a cute little boutique with a seating area that included copies of People’s magazines. We left a nice PROPINA. It’s a nice place but after eating at Joe’s, I wished we had just eaten desserts there. If the quality was upgraded it could match the quality of our homes here. Maybe it’s the AIR INCORPORATION. Maybe at 4D they whip in more air than in Italy. Yes all gelato and ice cream have air in them. Without some air the gelato would be like a popsicle. But when your gelato has less zip or less taste it is because of too much air added. Giolitti in Rome, Italy to me is the standard bearer of what gelato should taste like but maybe here my neighbors like 4D. I will go back and do a melt test because let’s face it in AUGUST there is nothing like a cup of gelato to reward us from our 5 mile walk a long South Pointe. Grazie mille. Boun auguri.
Seriously such great gelato, the vanilla caramel was so good. Brutal customer service, I had to wake her to ask for service as she was passed out watching a movie, she is as friendly as a cactus. It must be the same girl working there as all the reviews are so consistent, 23 oct /19 - update - I came back here specifically to see how bad the service was and to experience it again because it has been entertaining the last two years talking about it. Now I am disappointed that the customer service was actually really good. I think it was the owner that served us and he went out of his way to give us as many samples as we wanted and was very nice.
Very nice ice cream, but have the staff wear gloves when handling food if he's manning the cash register please. Basic stuff I've seen done even in 3rd world countries.
Great artisanal gelato 💥 and plenty of flavors to sample, perfect for cooling off after a South Pointe stroll 🍨👣. Creamy textures and fun options keep it worth a stop, but prices can feel high for portions and it gets busy 😅. Friendly staff and fun vibe — just plan for a crowd. 🍧🌴
A disappointment, shake was mehh, they were completely unprepared. Had no ice, it was very hot in the Cafe. They didn't even give you shake straws , they give you regular soda straws and the shake is thicccc. Walk another 1/2 mile and go somewhere where they dint charge $3 for a Luke warm water . Ferrero and caramel cream shake
"It has always been excellent in this particular one, but something is not right with the smells. I think they should fix it. Otherwise, the service is excellent.

The ice cream is amazing but the AC was broken. The place was hotter inside than outside. Was sweating.
Ice cream is good but the temperature used to store it and sell it is so low that melts completely as soon as you cross the door. And that on a cold day.
Eye-wateringly expensive for solid, but not spectacular, gelato in an uninspired setting.
4D Gelato is great but this location seems to be trying to save some money by not turning the air conditioning on. It's hotter inside than outside.
They raised their prices (again) and inconsistent scoop quantities depending on persons working there and their mood i suppose. Smells like sewer gas inside. No atmosphere other than high prices and annoying customers. The gelato is good but overall experience is not same as before. Inconsistent the service and degraded atmosphere along with high prices is what to expect.
This place continuously disappoints and I refuse to go back. The gelato is always good but the service is beyond awful. I think they would be better off hiring monkeys instead of the current staff since, well, monkeys have more personality and can communicate better. Between the staff and the AC never working, I just hope this dump goes out of business soon.
Expensive and tastes below average
I tend to be picky about gelato, after traveling to Europe several times. Usually I can manage American gelato, though. However, this place is a freakin joke. The gelato was so soft and runny, that it was completely melted 30 seconds after I paid for it. Also, the restaurant itself is kind of dirty. Not much seating either. Also, it it EXTREMELY OVERPRICED.
4D Gelateria (South Pointe, Miami Beach) — The gelato here is outstanding. Every flavor I’ve tried has been consistently delicious: rich, creamy, and perfectly made. If this review were only about the product, it would be an easy 5 stars. However, there’s one issue that has become impossible to ignore: the restroom is always “Out of Service.” Not once or twice—consistently. At this point it feels permanent, like it’s a choice rather than a real maintenance problem. In a high-traffic tourist area like South Pointe, that’s unacceptable. People walk long distances, come from the beach, travel from far away, and a functioning restroom is a basic part of serving the public. Putting up an “Out of Service” sign day after day sends a clear message that the business doesn’t want to provide the service. Whether it’s inconvenience or cleaning, the result for customers is the same: you’re welcoming the public to buy food, but refusing something basic that should be available. Also, this isn’t just a preference. In Florida, public food service establishments are generally required to maintain at least one restroom available for public use, with some exceptions depending on the setting. If I come back and the restroom is still “Out of Service,” I will file a formal complaint with the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR), Division of Hotels and Restaurants, which regulates and inspects public food service establishments and has an official consumer complaint process. I’m not trying to be dramatic—I’m being honest because it’s genuinely unreasonable. The gelato is excellent, and that’s why this is frustrating. Fix the restroom situation and you’ll have a loyal customer giving 5 stars without hesitation.
I feel disrespected. I drove over an hour to eat this gelato. Google says closing time is 11 PM, but it was only 8 PM and the place was already closed. Does anyone know if they went out of business or are permanently closed?
This is not gelato at all. Just right across the street, not even 2mins it melt like a fountain!!! Very watery very sweet not tasty at all. I order a small and I thought I should choose a corn, so I did, then when checked out he charged me $12 instead of a small $7. Very dishonest, very disappointed!

Over priced and not that good. Also, they were out of 5 different flavors.
Probably need to teach employees some manners when answering a question specially at night. There are polite ways to asnwer a question.
be careful and check your recipt. you may get over charged and get a stupid answered . Very disapointed
The worst customer service ever!!!! I ordered an ice cream to take home and they felt it was appriate to charge $2.00 for a container to put my ice cream that was $10.90 in - I live one block away and am not about to carry it dripping in my hand the right thing is to put in or on a container - no they brought out and iPhone and asked if I wanted to "talk" to the manager but instead of talking he felt like as a customer spending my money I needed to listen to him and what I had to say was not important - totally unacceptable - it's south beach there are tons of gelato places and I'm sure this attitude and complete lack of customer service is why your store is empty!!! Close please so a place with real customer service can open- your attitude is horrible and I am appalled that you are allowed to be open in my community
This is the first time I leave a review of any business I’ve been to. I came at 7:15pm 3/20/23 and ordered two cups. The lady that served us was extremely rude to my girlfriend and clearly is not suited to be in the customer service industry. Please reach out to me for a full explanation as I believe that is unacceptable.
Having a bathroom denies bad experiences.
Esto es un conjunto de indios. Everything from the franchise owner to the employees. They only hire these little mestizos that have no idea what they're doing or how to treat & talk to people. The owners don't train their employees because they themselves have no idea how to run a business & hire outside their race.
Avoid to visit this place! These guys lowered their quality! Just bought two milkshakes and one ice cream like one hour ago and there was no flavor at all! Tasted like a weird watery thing… Waste of money…..
My grandmother is 80 years old and I asked at this place for help going to the restroom she need to pee and they denied the access because we wasn’t customers and make me shop a bottle of water to have access . It’s a really unfriendly place. ❌🚫🚷
The sales Man refuse to print the receipt and start calling Bro etc . I live at the Marina near by . Took a friend for a ice cream and end up in a not very nice time in there . Ice cream so so so .
Customer service was bad. These girls are foreigners with a bad attitude. Food is great tho.
Small cup with 2 scoops - $13. We'll never come back.
Having visited tens, if not hundreds, of gelato shops, 4D Gelateria has got to be the the worst. I walked in with a group of 5 other individuals for the first time and we each wanted to try the various flavors offered. There was no sign or warning that we were limited to how many samples we could try. We averaged about 2-3 samples for the first 4 individuals, which is normal at most shops that offer samples. The cashier rudely and abruptly informed us that she would not give us anymore samples. So the other two remaining individuals didn’t get to sample the other flavors they wanted to try. Such heinous behavior given the price point ($9/10 a cup). Additionally, their gelato wasn’t even that good. I sampled the passion fruit and I had to physically chew the ice. The other flavors were alright at best. 4D Gelateria: Terrible customer service for subpar gelato at an incredulous price point.
I always go to this store, the experience in this place was incredible, I recommended it to many friends, before the service was incredible, but last week, on Friday, a young Italian man mistreated me, he made a shake only with milk, it didn't taste like gelato, and did not accept my complaint, how can an ice cream parlor hire people like that?! The guy is rude who thinks he owns the world and doesn't know how to make a simple shake, I won't go back to this place as long as this guy is around, the product is amazing but with these kind of people working in customer service you are doomed to failure, improve.
Very average ice cream. When I read all the reviews saying that ice cream here tastes like Italian - please, have you even ever been to Italy and had Italian ice cream? Plus the service is very, very poor. How is it possible that you cannot buy one scoop, and they force you to buy 2?! If I want one scoop I should be able to buy one, right? What a weird policy is that?!
This ice cream is worth travelling from the other side of town and dealing with tge difficult parking situation in that area but service is absolutely unaccceptable, getting worse over time, today i asked for cold water after finishing my ice cream but was given warm water and an attitude along with it :-O!!! I'm not coming back till either the owner steps in and teach his/her employees some manners.
Absurd place. The icecream is average at best, sweet and watery. But paying 22$ for one basic cone with one flavour....🤣 I grew up in Italy and never in my life I've paid so much, not even for the best artisanal gelato
Skinny tall Blonde guy was serving like it was coming out of his pocket 27$ for ice cream and i get a tiny spoon this is steal
This is far from the original 4D we all know and love. Poorly managed: restrooms were nasty, the ice cream (can’t call it gelato), was meh (to be nice), attendee was unfriendly and on top of that she left a piece of paper inside the cone where the ice cream was served. Was too far away when we realized, would’ve asked for a full refund.
Rude customer service, no manners. Will not come back.
Small cup with 2 scoops - $13. We'll never come back.
