The place is very low key, doesn't look the best when you walk by but I'm glad I did. The food was absolutely delicious here. They don't provide cocktails but there are a few draft beer options available. Every item we purchased was absolutely delicious and provided good quantity as well. The ambiance could be a little bit better but overall a fantastic location if you want to enjoy reasonably priced authentic Mexican food and beer.
Great place in the area! The staff are very friendly, and the dishes are tasty (small menu but with enough choices). They have specials night during the week, including Taco Tuesday and $3 beers on Thursdays! Great value for money.
That was a very cool experience. We had al pastor plate (which was delicious) and the portion was gigantic, margaritas were good - very flavorful. Guacamole was a bit tasteless. But overall lunch was more than enjoyable. Food was served pretty fast which helped a lot.
Authentic, great tasting steak platter. Large portions. Nice music playing. Sofia provided recommendations and had prompt service.
AMAZING!!! We went to this place after reading so many good reviews. Loved the fish tacos, guacamole, chorizo tacos and the chicken burrito. We went back several times because it was so tasty. Definitely check it out!
By far the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. Might be the reason we keep coming back every year! The place is super small so come early or order takeout/food delivery app…
Delicious al pastor tacos with fresh onion and cilantro. Small palm size tortillas. Come in batches of 4. Salsas come in squeeze bottles - nothing too tasty. The food is 4/5 but service certainly a 5 star experience. Clean, quick, friendly and helpful. Came for more of a pit stop and would come back based on the experience I had
Bomb tacos, so fresh and just really good. Also very well priced compared to the strip. This place is worth it! Also the drinks, everything well made. Daimy was super friendly and the staff always attentive!❤️🌮
Best Mexican food in Miami Beach! After failing to find a decent Mexican restaurant in the tourist area, we finally found one that really has a lot of flavor as we expected. Thumbs up for the good service as well. Definitely recommend!
This place was great. I enjoyed the food and especially the service. Highly recommend if looking for Mexican cuisine. We are visiting from Texas!
Very delicious guacamole and the rest of the food we have tried was good too. There is horchata which is a bit on the sweet side however I enjoyed it. And the price is right as well. The staff was attentive and helpful and the atmosphere is cosy.
Amazing place! As a Mexican you can’t say anything about not knowing good Mexican tacos. This place beats many places back home. These tacos are full of flavor and well priced, only thing is you cannot mix and match tacos. I like to taste everything but it will be more expensive to do this here. Other than that this place is so good!
We had one of our best meals of the stay here. Enchiladas and burritos were fabulous. The lime margarita was the best we had. You can taste the sweet sour lime, not just sugar, so refreshing! You won't be disappointed.
The Enchilada Plato was amazing! The sauce on the beans was the owner’s grandmother’s recipe and you can taste then love in the food. My partner had the tacos and raved about how delicious the shrimp tacos were. I wish we were in Miami longer so I could go back for more.
The food was amazing, but what made our experience even better was the service. My girlfriend liked what i ordered more, the waitress noticed and replaced her meal with the same thing i had (free of charge). Truly an amazing spot!
Got the super nachos with steak it was delicious 😋 shared with someone and we barely finished. Service was outstanding 👏 I would recommend to anyone that likes Mexican food. It is small establishment with indoor and outdoor seating we sat outside, with that you do get people walking by as it's sidewalk seating. Wasn't a problem for us we enjoyed our food
Excellent burritos served neatly. Great place to grab quick meal. The steak and veggie burritos were so good that we got two of them each. Lovely vibe and close to the beach and the bus stops. Clean washrooms and lovely and welcoming staff
Stopped in for a quick lunch. I had the chicken burrito and my wife had an empanada. The food was fresh and very good. It was an unusually hot Spring day in Miami. Too hot to sit outside. We sat inside hoping that it would be cooler. No AC. But it was cooler than outside. It's a small restaurant. Just a few tables inside but we were the only customers. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.
The best Latin food I have ever had at a restaurant! The dishes at this Collins Ave spot arrived incredibly fast and were absolutely delicious. The outstanding service from our server, Flor, made the experience even more memorable. Her extensive knowledge of the menu and her helpful suggestions helped me make the perfect choice. Flor's impeccable service truly made our visit amazing.
Highly recommended. This little place offers a variety of delicious Mexican food. The host is very friendly even though we brought two little children. The prices are really good, especially if you consider the location quite near to Ocean Drive. We came back two days after our first visit.
Great little place that is relatively cheap for SoBe. Their Al Pastor plate was simply amazing. The pork tasted so good! People that work there are also very nice and attentive. Other than the quality, it is everything that you expect when you get a plate. Fried beans, rice, tortillas, salad, and guac. All the important staples are there. They also accept Apple Pay which is a plus if you're just carrying your phone to the beach.
If you’re looking for somehwere to eat in South Beach, get off the strip and come here! No one in here on a busy Sunday afternoon.. purely because it’s off the strip. Food was fresh and delicious, and you’ll probably pay half what you would. It’s a mix between order at counter/light waitress service. Best of both worlds. Highly recommend!
My boyfiend and I are visiting from Boston and we were looking for a good spot to dine in at and we googled restaurants and Alma Mexicans popped up. We decided to go this restaurant and when we got there we were greeted and given a table right away. The food and service was awesome! Customer service was exceptional as well. Oh and I ordered a margaritas and it was the best I ever had !! Thank you. I recommend this place and give it 5 ⭐️ Stars.
This place has been here for quite some time now, is not as big as many other restaurants in South Beach they have about 8 tables inside that’s it. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer the classic Mexican dishes like tacos and Burritos but you can try “their plates” which are relatively larger options of a formal Mexican dinner. The Decor is very catchy with plenty of colors. Nice to have a place like this in South Beach. Great Mexican restaurant in Miami Beach. Liz was a verry friendly waitress. Veg friendly and it is a very quiet place. Quality of food is outstanding. It has a soul to it and that is the meaning of the name of the restaurant. Surprisingly very cheap place. If you like really hot food, Asl for their extra hot sauce. But be careful it is very very hot.
The food is excellent. Service is fast. Menu has many choices (only a couple for vegetarians) in food and several Mexican beers are available also. Hot sauce is on the side for people who might not like it. Prices are affordable for the area. The place is medium size. Probably fits around 40 people. Latino music is played. Totally recommend for an informal bite.
Fast, tasty tacos. Service barely meets expectations but it’s a super casual place. If you want real guac, get the appetizer, not the $2 side. The side was a disappointing cup of “guac” that you can get at Costco. Tacos were delicious but tiny.
A quick and tasty dinner at a colorful and quaint restaurant. The fish tacos have quality fish and the combinations of flavors is really good (the correct ratio is one lime slice for every taco, and add the green hot sauce, you're welcome). The grilled pineapple on the al pastor plate added brightness, and the beans were very cheesy. The sticker collection in the bathroom is also unreal. Service was friendly and polite.
Quite a decent Mexican restaurant with amazing drinks menu. The food was overall okayish and has room for improvement in my view. The menu is good and overall plenty of seating available both indoor and outdoor.
Sofia was very nice, they were able to accommodate my requests on adding eggs on my enchiladas, also known as Enchiladas Montadas right at noon where most places don’t serve eggs after noon, the enchilada sauce was DELICIOUS! Definitely not cann like, it was really red and thick and flavorful, i will definitely come back, and recommend this place, Thank You!!
I tried several of their dishes - frijas and super nachos (both were beef) delivered. I liked the nachos better. I appreciated the quality of the ingredients, the meal size, and it was delivered hot. The cheese was melted on the tortilla chips with meat on top. You add on the additional toppings (salsa, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo). They did a good job keeping it from being soggy. I would order again. Gracias!
Good for a quick meal. I went there for lunch on a Tuesday around noon; it wasn't busy. We had Chiles Rellenos with rice & refried beans and Carne al pastor with rice & refried beans. The place is good for a quick "Mexican" flavored bite, the flavors are more Tex-mex, but if you're not Mexican you may enjoy it and view it as authentic Mexican flavors... The portions are huge. The customer service is great, they're fast and attentive.
It’s in a good location and the food was fine it just seemed like they were rushing us to get out of there. Other than that they had a good selection and variety of menu items and the prices were very reasonable. Will probably come back some time again to try something different. The one thing I didn’t like is that chips and salsa didn’t come with it snd had to pay extra for it.
Too expensive for the quality of food. $9 for store-bought salsa and stale chips. My burrito had chunks of overcooked chicken, beans and wilted lettuce. Our server was kind, but the food is not good.
We came to the restaurant because of the good rating here at google. The waiter was not that polite and more or less apathetic. But everybody can have a bad day. Unfortunately we were not asked if we liked the food. We ordered Huevos Rancheros with sunny side up eggs. First of all, it was hot and fresh made. The eggs were cooked very good, but the whole meal was very lame. The Beans and the rice had no flavor and taste at all. For me it was not worth to visit this place.
Food is not great value for the money, but that's Miami Beach I guess. Food was alright, I got a steak burrito and added a picture. The burrito was symmetrical, I ate half before I took the picture lol. Overall, meh experience for the money but the food and service wasn't bad per se
Personalmente, no volvería.
Ordered the steak enchiladas and the carnitas plate. While the food looked pretty good the enchiladas were only okay. Everything lacked flavor. The carnitas were borderline inedible. The meat was not well cooked or separated and most of the meat was fatty and gross. We were given three hot sauces but they all were just hot with no chili flavor at all. Two items and one drink cost $50, much like most of South Beach. The waiter was friendly but clearly had more interest in the cute girls at the table outside than in us. Overall, disappointed given then current 4.4 star rating on Google reviews. Will not return or recommend.
The food is okayish, I have had so much better Mexican food than this, at this price point. The server never asked me whether I want to dine in or take out, and placed a take out order, when I in fact wanted to dine in. The wait time for food was painfully slow.(especially keeping in mind that Mexican food is usually super fast to prepare) I saw people order before me, and didn’t receive their food when I was leaving after my meal. In conclusion, there are tons of options for Mexican and Cuban cuisine in South Beach, opt for something else. It’s not worth it.
New review: Food is horrible, dry, plain and old. The portions are big but the quality is below anything I've experienced. This is, by far, the worst ever Mexican cuisine I've ever had. Congratulations. Old review: Delicious Mexican experience, tasty food for a very reasonable price. This was our favourite spot when it comes to Mexican food in Miami. Food was delicious and staff was really friendly.
