Atlantis Cafe Miami Reviews
Delicious authentic Cuban style breakfast. No seating available. Pick up window only.
Best place for a quick bite or a take out meal. Food is nice , service is plus and the fresh squeezed orange juice is delicious🍊. I love the empanadas, both beef or chicken, it's delicious ! Bacallau on Fridays is super !!! Oxtail, Delicious 🔥
Oh. My. My idea of a "Cuban" sandwich has just been elevated! On the menu, it is unassumingly called "Sandwich," but you order it, go sit in your nice air conditioned car (no indoor seating) and then sit the taste. It's delicious! And I went for the midnight roll which was also great. And the staff were incredibly nice, too, for extra points.
We are visiting Miami and we wanted some Cuban Food. We particularly love "whole in the wall - experiences". We went here for the high Google reviews, and the place didn't disappointed. We had 2 sandwiches (Cuban & Pan con Bistec) y 2 sides (Sweet Plantains & French Fries)... Awesomeness!! Made fresh on the spot - food was what we wanted. We'll come back!
This is a really great downtown spot for authentic Cuban breakfast and lunch. Coffee was great, too and they've started doing oat milk substitutes for those who can't have dairy. The staff was super friendly. I wish they were doing indoor dining, but we still had a great experience. The staff chatted with us like friends. The food was so good. I got the Cuban Breakfast. And parking is all street parking, but simple enough to find. It's also within walking distance from the beach.
We came here on a Yelp suggestion to find a good Cuban sandwich in Miami. We also tried the chicken club, which was delicious. We enjoyed walking around downtown. The portions were hearty, the prices were great, and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely return on my next trip through Miami.
Good place to go order. Easy and simple. There is no seating because it’s order to go. If you work in the downtown area or visiting and need food to go. This is it. And affordable.
A good place to get a cuban/Argentine food takeout. The price tag is actually not that cheap and the portion is quite generous that you can share. I got the breaded chicken in cuban style (topped with ham and cheese). The fried plantains are good too.
I have order for breakfast a couple of times with my coworkers. Good simple food and great prices. The potatoes are nice and seasoned
The most authentic Cuban food you'll get in downtown Miami. You want a home cooked meal without actually going home, dealing with la suegra, or burning down the house? This is the place for you. Made on the spot, fresh af, 10/10, would totally recommend.
Very welcoming and authentic establishment ❤️. I had a Cuban breakfast sandwich that was pretty good and a cortadito. Just wish it was in a better area for accessible parking.
Awesome Cuban coffee and empanadas! This place is close to downtown Miami. I went there for breakfast before work. It was great. Great prices. Nice service too. Highly recommended!
I have awesome experiences at Atlantis Cafe …. family oriented, friendly and respectful staff. I highly recommend this cafe, their cortadito with evaporated milk and masa real ……. ! Alex the chef THE BEST!
Favorite Cuban sandwich in Miami. Try to stop by this walk up window shop everytime I visit miami. Always delicious!
One of the best places to eat in downtown Miami, the staff is super friendly and Ale the owner/chef cooks the best bacalao in town! Totally recommended!
Cuban food, mmm, delicious. Nice place to relax, people watch, eat good, etc. Had a friend come into town and asked me to take him here again.
Great food i pick my breakfast from here everyday they got a lot of options so I can have something different everyday
A coconut grove staple for brunch. Everything is amazing and super drinks too! Very nice waitstaff abc reasonable prices.
Ricky ricardo says this place is the best! And the most interesting man in the world could never be as interesting as atlantis! Great food, great people, good times! No place is better in downtown miami!
Exceptional customer service. Great food and super quick! I’ll be back to this place over and over again.
Love this place! Super delicious and cheap. I went to some $$$$ dining in Miami and this place topped all of them.
Highly Recommend 1000% I go every morning for breakfast and the food is 10/10. Great customer service!!!
This place is a gem! The paleo items are fantastic, healthy & tasty! Oh and the prices are unheard of! So affordable
A bit too small of a restaurant for the demand, but the food was well worth the wait. Delicious cuban at prices that'll make your wallet smile
Atlantis Cafe provides truly authentic Cuban cuisine. Great quality, and great people!
Best Spot in Downtown-Miami, good prices and amazing food. If you are a local or a tourist, this is a place that you need to try! Great job Alex & Margarita 💪🏻
Good taste of foods and drinks ! Service is bit slow but worth the wait .No place to sit as of June 2021. Love the sandwiches, debit/credit cards accepted as well.
SUPER FRIENDLY STAFF, gave us free coffee and extra plantain. food is amazing and portions are large. a must if you visit miami downtown
This is an excellent and affordable small cafe to visit for authentic Cuban cuisine. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would recommend the "Cuban lunch" if you want brunch. The coffee is great as well. I had a cortadito and a cafe con leche. I will return next time I visit Miami.
Amazing breakfast cafe. I frequent this cafe almost every morning if not for a delicious sausage, egg and cheese croissant, definitely for a well prepared coloda to start my day! I highly recommend giving Atlantis cafe a visit! I promise you won’t regret it!
Updating my review after a year of frequenting Atlantis Cafe, I love this place! Still delicious & cheap food, paleo options, and amazing smoothies. Alex keeps it light with the jokes and delivers great service, can't recommend them any higher
Food is great, it's like eating at your mom's house..a nice home cooked meal. There are also Paleo options for those looking to diet. It's a great family owned place, mother and son.
This cafeteria is amazing. I come sometimes even twice a day to get a colada, today i had their breakfast and loved the crispy bacon. To me is the best place on the area.
The staff: Wonderful, Friendly, and Funny The food: Amazing, Flavorful, Generous The price: Cannot beat it This is a "must visit" when in Miami. Don't let the modest appearance fool you. A sure bet for breakfast or lunch.
Great family Restaurant! Alex is the best cook EVER! His Mom is EXCELLENT at Customer Service. A VERY NICE RESTAURANT TO EAT AT!
This is a small little dining spot. Perfect for a quick and delicious meal. The pulled pork on tostones was amazing. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Cant wait to return!
Great food, great service. Locally owned and operated with very friendly staff and exceptional food. I highly recommend their lunch specials.
This is a hidden gem in the heart of downtown Miami. The food is amazing , and cooked from scratch. I recommend their palomilla steak, rabo encendido, and their ajiaco on Thursdays to name a few. The staff is always friendly and you can't beat the prices.
Great little hole in the wall. The surrounding area looks and smells very bad and we were about to leave, but the restaurant was very clean inside. It was well worth it. Tasty breakfast sandwiches and good coffee.
Great little place. Delicious fresh food in hearty servings. Family owned. Friendly staff. Go there almost every day for lunch.
Great customer service and great food! Perfect place to visit if you’re looking for something good to eat for breakfast or lunch in the downtown area.
Awesome service, the staff is super nice, food is amazing and I hope to see them in a bigger place in the future. The place is always packed because of how good the food is and the staff is very attentive to clients' needs.
Lunch service is not the speediest but the food is super-good. Totally worth seeking out over other Cuban restaurants when you're in the mood for truly good comida cubana.
I've ordered lunch from Atlantis Cafe a couple dozen times and I always know what to expect. The food always is excellent, great customer service and value. My go-to spot in downtown.
Great little cafe with a very passionate staff. Food is excellent and the cafe con leche is the best I’ve ever had. Would make this place a must visit for breakfast or lunch if you’re in the area
Fresh food!! This little cafe has it all. Friendly and swift service, great for the working people in the area. Everything made out of fresh ingredients and delicious!
Great cafe, best Cuban food. Service is great these people are so nice!! I stop here any time I'm in Miami, even when I have a layover.
I’ve worked in the area for years now and you will not find better tasting food or value for your money. Everything I’ve ordered (and co-workers who’ve also become loyal customers) has always been top notch! Portions are generous and the taste is amazing. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating. Hands down one of the best spots in downtown.
My friend and I ate here for some authentic cuban food. Good experience. It was mostly locals eating here, which is a good sign. Pay cash to get a discount. There is no place to sit and eat, so we walked a block and a half to a public Urban Park. Which had tables and chairs. Felt safe & quiet.
Best cuban sw i e ever had
Local flavor! I got an amazing Cuban sandwich here with plantains. They were absolutely delicious! Extremely quick service and our waitress was delightful. If you’re in the area and want some authentic Cuban food, this is the place.
Make sure you have the egg bacon and cheese
If you're looking for a great Cuban mean look no further. The portions are big, tasty and won't break the bank. Everyone seems very friendly and many of the costumers are regulars, which is a great sign for any restaurant. Just a heads up, it's a small place and with only one cooking stations, you're food may take a little longer than you want it to but sure is worth the wait. (order ahead)
Wonderful chicken vaca frita and a delicious Cuban sandwich. Generous portions and terrific prices. It's a walk-up spot so be prepared to wait for 10-15 minutes if you're ordering something bigger than a smoothie. Great customer service as well!
Amazing Cuban food, great flavor, excellent service!! The sandwiches are to die for!! I recommend this 5/5 stars. The owner is super personable and is family oriented. Come eat!!
Excellent location for authentic cuban food. Great pastries and sandwiches as well. Breakfast and lunch.
I have been a customer of Atlantis Café for about 7 years now. For sure the best Cuban spot in downtown Miami. Food is authentic, delicious and the owners treat you like family. Meals are affordable and always ready on time. I love it!
If you are looking for the closest thing to home made food, then Atlantis cafe is your place to go. The food is excellent. You just can’t go wrong with them. They are very friendly and polite. They will do whatever is in their hands, even if they have to go out of their way within the menu just to satisfy your cravings. If you are in downtown Miami and just don’t know where to go to have breakfast or lunch, go to Atlantis cafe, you will not regret it!
This is the best spot for local workers & community in downtown Miami. At the ventanita, you’ll be greeted by Margarita and later, her son, Alex will bring your food and brew up a quick and funny conversation while brewing your coffee. They have the best food for unbeatable prices. Exquisite Cuban cuisine, the only place I come to for breakfast/lunch.
15 Years and Counting Thank You Alex & Margarita
One of my favorite locations for tasty cuban food. Do not leave if it's busy, it is worth it. The staff was friendly and observant. Makes me feel like I in Nashville again.
Excellent Cuban sandwich. The pulled pork is the best I’ve had, perfect texture and flavor with just a hint of sweetness. Get it on midnight bread! The tostones could use a little spice for extra flavoring though.
Always a pleasure to pass by and know the food is ready by the time I pick it up. Thank you for the great service I always receive and the great smoothies! Definitely going to try your lunch menu now.
Best Spanish food and the prices are super affordable. All the people that work there are all super cool really nice people. The owners are mom and son and they are super nice. You want good Spanish food go eat at Atlantis Cafe downtown. I eat the breaded chicken, white rice, black beans, and maduros. Some of my co-workers have the tilapia and they says it's delicious.
After some 7 years I returned to Atlantis Cafe and Margarita recognized me. I can't believe it! In this restaurant you feel like family. Always treat you with a smile, the kitchen is open for the public so as you are waiting for your order you see how it's done. The chef, Alejandro Pupo, always uses fresh ingredients. The portions are big and, for me personally, I can share. Is not a big restaurant, is nothing fancy but homemade meals with this quality is always welcome.
Probably my favorite meal on my trip to Miami. Small, unassuming place, with fair prices and good cafe food (and great Cuban coffee!) but on top of that the care and integrity of the people working there was apparent. I would definately go again when I'm in town.
Just moved here and atlantis cafe has instantly become my favorite spot for great food and coffee!!! The Cuban is so bomb eating it was a religious experience. Prices unbeatable and staff is super friendly.
Great little hole in the wall cafeteria/restaurant to go to while walking around downtown Miami. The Cuban Colada is perfectly crafted to get you up and running for the day. The breakfast sandwiches will fill you up and leave you satisfied. Overall, Great place to get some food downtown Miami!
Absolute best cuban sandwich and cuban food I've ever tasted in my life. I have traveled many miles to find true authentic taste. You can taste the love in every bite. I'll drive back from Big Pine Key to taste this again. Very affordable and delicious. 10 stars if I could! Try the best cuban food in Miami!
Yum! Great food, delicious coffee, friendly service, and fantastic prices. We only had one morning in Miami and this little place was convenient to the train station downtown. Glad we stopped in for breakfast.
Quick lunch sandwich takeaway, had pan con bistek, filling and delicious w real lettuce and soft steak. Loads of shoestring potato fries for crunch.
They have the best Cuban breakfast for very reasonable prices! This mom and son owned restaurant is a hidden gem in the heart of downtown. They are super friendly and cook very fast whether its breakfast or lunch. Definitely give em try!
The BEST FOOD in DOWNTOWN for the BEST PRICE !!! Order the menu of the day and you’ll get a home-cooked meal that will take you back to the first time your mother made your favorite dish. The best BEANS in the 305!
I recently visited Atlantis Cafe, and wow! The vibe is super chill, like a cozy Cuban getaway. The staff was super friendly and made me feel right at home. Tried the Ropa Vieja, and it was incredible! Can’t wait to come back! 🌴🥘
This is such a great hole in the wall. Authentic Miami bite. this place is a order at the window type of spot but it does it's job. It was so good I went back the following day, but were closed. Definitely recommend!!
Lugo
I tried to Cuban sandwich, and it is pretty much what I expected it to be. The price was right. The flavor was pretty good, although the meat was just a little dry. Overall, it was a pretty good cafe.
Stop at the window for a cafecito and a sandwich-classic medianoche was yum. If you are nearby the courthouse it’s a short walk and you can window shop at all the lovely jewelry places nearby too.
Very friendly and great food and great prices! Get the Cuban!!! Unfortunately, they weren't open for eating inside like we wanted, so just ate in the car, but after we took a bite into our sandwiches, it didn't matter. 👍🏻👍🏻
Take away only, no cafe. Food is good though
Certainly authentic. Right next to the MetroMover station with homeless all around, the inside is a cramped lunch counter, but the product was outstanding and very fair price. 2 deaf people with me, typically persons who speak English as a 2nd language and or have an accent struggle with that language barrier, but these did fine. Refreshing. I ordered a smoothie and never got it, but the guy wasn't writing it down, so that's more of the problem in my eyes. The only reason it wasn't 5 stars.
Hole on the wall restaurant w moderate prices and good food. Family run and a place where local who work in Downtown go for lunch. They do have a Paleo Diet dishes.
Good sandwiches and a very nice service (the waitress). There’s a big variety but we all had the cuban lunch sandwiches and they did not dissapoint (we asked for ketchup - I think it helps). The place itself looks a little shady, there was water leaking from parts of the ceiling and there isn’t a big enough seating area.
If you're looking for a quick bite of traditional Cuban food that won't empty your bank account, you can find it here. Located in the heart of Downtown Miami, next to the courthouse, this small cafe is great for a shot of Cafe Cubano to keep you going throughout the day. It also offers a limited Paleo menu.
Even though the place had the occasional fly flying around, was a bit tight, and could get slightly messy, the meal I had was pretty good and the service was decent. Not a standout place but there are worse I guess.
Cuba food? They surely don’t taste very good. I ordered brujeria chicken, it comes with rice, beans and bananas. I also had Cuba coffee, I don’t get used to it. The staff is efficient. Well it’s a good try, but I will not come again. Costs me 20 dollars
Nice hole in the wall (literally a window into the street) that serves quick bites and drinks. No tables but there is a park nearby with benches. They close early - round 3 pm… and serve a great papaya shake.
Went there after looking at the menu online, got there and the prices on the menu had gone up, didn't feel like going somewhere else after walking there. Portion size could have been a little bigger for the price.
this place has amazing food but they take so like an i have to call ten times just to even get thru to them 3 times they have hun up on me they are only getting stars for the taste
Horrible experience with this place. I wanted to try it for the first time so I placed an order online last week Thursday only to get a phone call from a young man saying " sorry the system should have been down. we closed due to some sort of gas leak or issue". He said not to worry that I would not be charged. I look today and I was indeed charged. I call to find out as to why I was charged and some lady told me to call back later because "she was too busy". I called back three hours later to be told that people are out on vacation and she would have to check it after 3:00pm. I then asked if they can deliver the food ordered Thursday today and then we can call it even ( since they already charged me) and the stuff I ordered wasn't available because she didn't make any potatoes today ( it's on the menu)? First and last time I order there. I will be disputing the charge on my card.
Employees charged my random amounts for everything I ordered. The prices they advertised are not what you’ll pay at the desk. When I asked for a break down of the bill, they couldn’t offer me a straight answer. I just paid my bill and left because I couldn’t argue with the ladies anymore. Don’t waste your money and time. The food isn’t worth the aggravation. They also were completely inefficient. They took my husband’s order, turned around to go make it and left me standing there. Once they came back with his food, that’s when they took my order. They could have saved time because we both ordered the same thing. Got back to our room and looked in the bag and our order was wrong on top of it. I’m more pissed off that I paid almost $45 for lunch specials that were advertised as $9.99
