What a wonderful Restaurant inside of Magical Upper Buena Vista. It’s perfect for wine enthusiasts and foodies! The menu is a mix of basque and Argentine dishes, with high quality ingredients. The service was super enjoyable with server Clementine, she was very hospitable and charismatic. I’ll definitely come back soon to try more items from the menu 😃 perfect for date, family dinner, big groups.

Went for a special occasion, a friend’s birthday. Excellent experience overall and will definitely my one back. The stand out was the braised beef rib. It was excellent in every way and I would go back just for that. Buffalo burrata was the standout from all appetizers. Shirk steak was underwhelming. Almost all staff provided excellent service, hosts and sommelier.

We had an incredible early dinner at Casa Vigil on Sunday. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff provided friendly and timely service, and the food was excellent. Highlights were the empanadas, steak tartare, milanesa, fideua, and the basque cheese tart.

I had a great experience at Casa Vigil restaurant. The empanadas were delicious, especially the ossobucco one. The smoked Mediterranean seafood platter was tasty, and the rib-eye milanesa was fantastic. The restaurant had a wide variety of wines to choose from. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience.

Yesterday we went for a lovely lunch at Casa Vigil, really great food for an amazing Lunch fixed price menu, $30 for a main, dessert and a glass of wine, amazing deal and lovely food, we added an appetizer the ossobuco empanada, super tasty. The restaurant is located inside Upper Buena Vista which is a little magical place with shops and restaurants, I love it ❤️

Fantastic experience and food - definitely, a must go when in Miami. El Enemigo winery was my favorite one in Mendoza and am glad to be able to have the same ‘costilla’ here in the US. Rocio was an amazing host and part of the great experience.

Unbelievable experience! New must visit restaurant in Miami. Great food, better wines and unbelievably good service!!!! Try the aged meat and definitely try their burgers. El Enemigo Bonarda y El Gran Enemigo, El Cepillo, my favorites... worth every penny and more importantly every minute!

Amazing Argentinean steak house, must try the 40 day dry age bone in steak. Great list of wines, aside from the famous El enemigo. Price point is perfect. You wont regret it. Service was really good.

Casa Vigil excels with a diverse and delectable menu, with some exceptional meat options. From savory appetizers to mouthwatering entrees, each dish is crafted with precision and attention to detail. The restaurant's fusion of flavors, combined with a bar offering expertly paired beverages, creates a delightful culinary experience. Meat enthusiasts will find a paradise of succulent cuts, making Casa Vigil a must-visit for those seeking a taste of excellence. Take a look at the roof top bar ... Simply beautiful

Loved the burrata, empanadas de ossobuco were incredible. This place is a hidden gem. The wine menu is amazing, so much to try. The sommelier and Rocio were very kind and friendly. Thank you!

From the moment of arrival the experience was great. The atmosphere of the place is very good, the attention from the hostess to Nicholas who attended to us exceeded our expectations. always very careful that we were comfortable with the food and drink. Apart from that, the manager Fabian was very attentive with the service at our table, thank you for that... finally, the food was delicious, it would be unfair to say that there was something better than the other, but the Torta Vasca de Queso, gets the highest rating.... in my opinion the experience in the restaurant was perfect....

Beautiful restaurant!! The food, service and atmosphere were great. I loved their attention. To detail starting from the size of the tables, lamps, wine glasses, knives, to the way they plate the food. The empanadas, the fried artichokes and the lamb are a must! The sommelier is great. Just ask for a recommendation and he will deliver.

We had a wonderful evening at Casa Vigil. The restaurant is in a beautiful setting with delightful ambiance. We were greeted by a very kind and accommodating hostess, who quickly escorted us to our table. Our waitress Marina was superb, as we're all the other staff and servers who were amazingly attentive without being intrusive . Marina was very knowledgeable explainung and describing dishes, always there to pour from the bottle of Rose we had ordered just before our wine glasses were empty. Our food was superb - we had a Chilean Sea Bass and Duck Margret. We also shared an entree of Zucchini flower - everything was excellent, right down to the dessert of Dulce de Leche Coulant which we shared.

This Argentinian restaurant is one of the best spots for a casual lunch or dinner. It can also be a great spot for date night too! It offers great patio seating and a cool indoor ambiance. Customer service is decent, especially since service charges are included. The meat quality is outstanding, and the complimentary bread, served warm with olive oil and salt, is a nice touch. The empanadas, especially the osso bucco, are fried but not greasy—definitely a must-try. The appetizers are creative and flavorful, and the grilled fish and other meats are cooked perfectly, though the lamb is just average. They also have a great wine selection, and the weekday lunch special is a great way to sample their food. Don’t skip the Basque cheese tart for dessert—it’s not the best I’ve had, but it’s good value for the price. Overall, a fantastic place for quality food and a relaxed dining experience.

Casa Vigil has a great mix of Argentinian cuisine with Mediterranean flavors. We enjoyed a Sunday afternoon and decided to try their Miami Spice menu which was great! While the food was really good and the server very friendly, the service was ok and at times we waited for a while to get their attention. It was not a busy day at all as it was a pretty stormy day. I also never once saw the manager which I would have expected to come by the table at least once. Also, for a restaurant whose owner is a wine maker, the staff should be trained on advising on wine pairing. Overall however it was a good experience.

M
Morris Starkman

Went to try new restaurant we heard was great. Appetizers were wonderful artichokes and empanada. Main course rack of lamb tiny 3 small pieces of lamb over caramelized onions very tasty but much too small. Short ribs was larger and very tasty. Wine pricey but good. 4 stars is plenty for this restaurant.

M
Mandy Diaz

Went yesterday for lunch and my honest opinion is if they want to survive with all the competition around, they need to seriously step it up. Service is definitely lacking. It was so surprising to me that the hostess had a vape pen in her hand, walking back and forth vaping non stop, it was so gross and I unpleasantly inhaled half the smoke while trying to have my lunch. That in itself made the experience obnoxious. And to finish adding 18% gratuity tip when not listed anywhere is disrespectful to customers. Not sure about this one...

C
Chris L

Food was good, nothing great though. Cool space with lots of energy. Drinks were a miss. Service was awkward and pretty bad. Manager saying good bye as you leave and not stopping by as you wait on food says it all.

C
Cristian Pereyra

We waited 10 min for the server to show up. Then he just drop off menus and never introduced himself or explain anything about the menu or the restaurant. We had the tasting menu and food was just ok. Nothing memorable.

V
Vivianne Lassale

Y

Nothing exceptional for the one start Michelin the menu too limited the service really wood the food good but not to impress I don’t want to said I want to come back

C
Cody Bennett

Atmosphere and food were great. But the service was horrible. Our server sat at another table talking with another employee the whole time. Another server had to help us out. And that was just for silverware…..then had the nerves to charge and automatic 20% tip. And then ask for more…..food took forever, but again was good. But the service alone was enough to keep me from ever returning.

R
Randy Caruso

Let’s start with the good parts. The empanadas were amazing as was the burrata. The Tomahawk was perfectly cooked. The service is not good, we waited 15 minutes for someone to come to the table and give us menus. Plates that were ordered for a group of eight people, two people did not get their meals. The waitress said, with a blank face that we never ordered those dishes. It’s a little difficult to believe when eight people say you ordered them and they say you didn’t. I approached the Manager, he said he had nothing to apologize about. And walked away. For those of us who live in Miami, we are really fed up with this kind of service. The menu is extremely limited. If your expectation is a selection of Argentine Classics. Do not come here. Read the reviews, and understand that this is a restaurant with primary focus are the wines, and the food is the complement to wines. Not the other way around. Come to enjoy the wine selection, which is excellent. Do not come to eat a hardy meal with one glass of wine. In summary, not a memorable evening for the prices you pay. Better options in Miami, certainly at these prices.

Casa Vigil is a great example of style over substance. Let's start with the positives and without any doubt this is a very attractive restaurant. It is casual but with great design, nice buzz, expensive but decent valet service - all in all it feels just great. To start off with I wish they would forget all the references to Michelin stars on the menu. At best these comments are confusing, at worst they are deceptive. The only Casa Vigil restaurant with a Michelin Star is in Mendoza and based on my observations that is little or no chance Casa Vigil Miami will ever come close to a Michelin Star. I really had a very difficult time getting comfortable with the menu - it seems to be all over the board and some of the items make no sense whatsoever. For example they're Chateau Briand. This is a french classic, that is supposed to be a double filet of beef for two - served on a socket of toast and sliced table side. Here it is a vastly overpriced 8 oz filet for one - what in the world makes this a Chateau Briand. So, in the end we ordered the Iberian charcuterie for $ 44. Which was some jamon Iberia, and slices of a variety of smoked sausages and chorizos. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. The worst thing was that this dish must have been prepared ahead of time and hung out in the kitchen for a long time. All the meats were warm and "sweating" , assuredly not very nice. What are they going to do in the summer? My wife had the grilled squid. The mashed potatoes were just plain awful and all you could taste with the squid was grease. I had the 8 oz rib eye steak and chose to have it plain grilled. I asked for medium rare and what showed up was medium well. I enjoy Ribeye because it generally is a juicy and tasty cut of meat. Unfortunately the Ribeye was simply tastelessly and dry - really disappointing. The service was mediocre at best. All in all a very disappointing experience and we shall not be back. Our 3 star rating is giving the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. I like to close on a positive and the Hostess who welcomed us and sat us was very gracious and hospitable.

J

L

Overpriced. Tomahawk didn’t have any flavor. Drinks were meh. Atmosphere was uninviting. Waitress was great.

M
Marina Martin

I can't believe that a renowned place like Casa Vigil is associated with such disappointment. The food was absolutely nothing to remember; the empanada was a tiny, tasteless bite, and the meat was just average. The service was well below average. At one point, we felt abandoned and had to call the hostess to order dessert from her. At a certain moment during the night, they decided to play music at a volume that made conversation impossible. When we asked for the bill, they had added a 20% tip, which is a terrible and low level hospitality practice. To top it all off, at 8:30 PM, the valet parking came to my table to hand me my car keys because he wanted to leave, as he only had two cars that night. I had to pay him right there interrupting the conversation. The whole experience was a disappointment. Don't choose this place if your dinner is important.

E
Enrique Dr

Food was just ok. Nothing special. In our table (party of 4) we tried the Octopus, lamb chops, steak among other things. The empanadas were good. Nobody was really satisfied with the food. The wine selection is good. The owners of the restaurant own the vineyard that produces El Enemigo which usually retails at around 20$ per bottle. In the restaurant it is 80$ per bottle…, i understand they will mark up the price at the restaurant but if you are the owner of the vineyard it should be a more reasonable price. The restaurant is very nice, good ambiance, however I will not return.

As a regular client of "Casa Vigil Miami" I used to enthusiastically recommend it for its cozy atmosphere, excellent wine selection, and innovative mixology menu. However, my recent visit was a disaster, leaving me uncertain about returning. The once-impeccable service was severely lacking. We waited over 20 minutes just to place our order, despite the restaurant being relatively empty. The staff appeared disorganized and uncoordinated. When the food finally arrived, it didn't live up to its previous standards. Our Oysters plate was a disaster empty and lacked of flavorful of ingredients as usual. After few drinks in the bar for happy hour I requested a table inside for dinner tonight. I've been a regular customer here for a while and usually enjoy dining indoors for a more comfortable experience with a few drinks and wine the response from the manager was he doesn't have tables available hahaha the place was empty...The manager, whom I approached to express my disappointment, was indifferent and unprofessional. There were no genuine apologies or attempts to rectify the situation, highlighting a clear leadership and commitment issue. In conclusion, my recent experience at "Casa Vigil Miami" was deeply disappointing. What was once a standout dining spot has deteriorated due to poor management and neglectful service. I can no longer recommend it with confidence. Just a + for Charlie the bartender for his splendid mixology experience and approach to service in the correct manner! Xoxo

My husband and I went to this restaurant expecting an "Argentina experience". We were very disapointed. The food was terrible, I had a risoto and he had a Meat. The Meat was full of sauce, and my risoto make me sick. I had stomachache and fever! There is nothing here like parilla and the tastefull food from Argentina.

M
Massimo

We just left the restaurant , the service is too bad Saturday night was empty a red flag !!! I realized late that was very bad. And we were only 2 people and the funny thing is that the check comes already with the 20 % gratitude included so be aware ! 🫵

What a huge disappointment. As a frequent visitor of their Mendoza location, where they have all kind of awards and stars, I can't believe this guy put his name and reputation in this terrible place, poorly managed, without a decent chef or cook and someone called in the restaurant industry "manager" to run the place. We were a party of 6, ordered a little bit of everything and as dished were coming things got worse. The overpriced $12 empanadas are really bad, an insult to one of Argentina's signature dishes. The tuna tartare: No nice words to describe it: poorly presented, tasteless, bad; and the $38 grilled octopus, was a piece of rubber that we sent back, straight to the kitchen's trash can. Main courses: We had a couple of steak cuts, all were supposed to come medium, they came medium-well to well-done. The wine selection is good. At least it shows that Mr. Vigil did a good job selecting the labels; however, while some wines are super overpriced when they shouldn't , some of them are at reasonable prices, so I don't understand the criteria of pricing wines in this restaurant. Here's what's going to happen: The place has a lot of PR. People will go, excited like the six of us, will realize what a rip-off this place is and how bad the food is, and won't come back; just like me and my five pals. I guess I will meet Casa Vigil soon in Mendoza, Miami's location is a no-go.

food was fine, it was super expensive for the portions, but was decently good. service was terrible, barely anyone came to the table, we were also ignored at the host stand. we were being rushed out, barely had anyone come talk to us about the menu, and also didn’t offer regular tap water, only bottled. did not inform us about an automatic 18% tip, which wasn’t listed anywhere on the menu, which makes me believe they only do it to younger customers. my friend ended up tipping more due to no one telling us tip was already taken out, and also did not inform her that they can’t print receipts until after she tried to print her receipt. can find better food elsewhere for cheaper and receive better service.

Tried out this new restaurant since I heard it was Michelin-star in Argentina. My girlfriend and I came in hoping to have a nice date night. Instead it felt like we were on a comedy punk’d skit. First off Valet points me where to park then charged me parking my own car – seriously? Then the saga of the sparkling water unfolded. As we sit down at our table we order a bottle of sparkling water. No exaggeration, 40 minutes later and three reminders later, it finally showed up, and that’s not mentioning that after my SECOND reminder the waitress comes back and pours tap water into our cups?? Empanada was cold and mushy, and the other appetizer that we had asked our waitress about leaves no mention that this dish is raw fish served cold. We witnessed food runners bring food to wrong tables on 3 separate occasions. Neighboring table sent back their grilled octopus because it was cold and barely cooked. And for our entrees? Finally showed up more than an hour after we had our appetizers. And to no surprise at this point, they were a huge letdown. We had ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, Costilla and Tomato Salad. These were tasteless, bland, and a waste of money. Tomato salad promised goat cheese and beet pearls, but it was MIA, and the beets were sad excuses for flavor. The bill was sky-high for this mess. I left this place questioning how staff and management were hired. Owners need a reality check, this place is a disaster. Couldn’t even be convinced for dessert with how badly we wanted to leave. Save yourself and dodge this culinary catastrophe.
