Chophouse 305 Miami Reviews
Chop Steakhouse & Bar was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was top of the line, the drinks were excellent, and the overall environment was welcoming and stylish. It’s the perfect spot whether you’re planning a girls’ night out, a date night, or even a family gathering—versatile, comfortable, and upscale without feeling stuffy. I sat at the bar, and despite how busy it was, bartender George was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and never made you feel rushed. You could really tell he cared about the experience, not just the service. From the quality of the food to the atmosphere and staff, everything exceeded expectations. Chop Steakhouse & Bar is a must-visit, and I’ll definitely be back.
My favorite spot in Coconut Grove. George was exceptional with amazing service. I highly recommend the chicken Madeira and the prime ribeye. The entire staff are very attentive and dont sit around. They take the initiative to cater to customers.
Some of the best french toast I’ve ever had! I feel like french toast can be sooo hit or miss, with some bites being dry and even laborious to eat but this was truly phenomenal, sweet, a bit crunchy, melt in your mouth, with amazing flavor on every bite! We also got frittata and burger which were great, but I had to come leave a review for the crème brûlée (with banana) ft in its own. Server was also very kind and pleasant and efficient:)
This was the first acquaintance with Coconut Grove, my wife and I really liked the atmosphere and vibe of this place, the food was very tasty, the service was at the highest level. The waitress Sarah was attentive and sociable. I recommend!
🌟 Five-Star Experience from Start to Finish! 🌟 From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of energy — the perfect setting for a memorable meal. Our waitress was absolutely top notch and professional, friendly, and incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made us feel truly taken care of. When things got busy, other staff members seamlessly stepped in to assist, showing just how well the team works together. The service was smooth, collaborative, and genuinely impressive. Now, let’s talk about the food: WOW. Generous portions, beautifully plated, and packed with flavor. Every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and delivered hot and fresh. You can tell there's pride in both the kitchen and the ingredients they use. The overall experience was one of those rare gems — a combination of excellent service, delicious food, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger just a little longer. It’s clear that this place doesn’t just serve meals; they deliver hospitality at its finest. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended — can’t wait to come back!
Let’s start with the establishment… isn’t a cute place in a nice location. The decor is beautiful, cozy, and it’s very spacious. The service was amazing from entry to our exit. Justin was our waiter and I absolutely recommend requesting to be in his area of the restaurant. He has such a great personality and is very kind. He gave recommendations for everything and for the most part did a good job. The food was delicious. Everything was cooked well and seasoned to perfection. My best friend and.had 3 different drinks, 3 appetizers, and an entree that came with sides. We will definitely be back.
My boyfriend and I were celebrating and choosed this place. Best decision ever. Macy, our server, was amazing and attentive the whole time. All the personal were super nice and the food delicious. It was delivered fast and great quality.
We visited Chop Steakhouse in Coconut Grove for a birthday celebration with a party of 10, and it could not have been a better experience! From the start, we were seated at a comfortable table that easily accommodated our group. The evening kicked off with cocktails, and the espresso martini was one of the best I’ve had. Our appetizers — especially the goat cheese dip — were absolutely delicious and set the tone for the meal. For entrées, we ordered a variety: filet with French fries and peppercorn sauce, the incredible pork chop, a fresh steak salad, and more. Every dish was cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. What truly made the night memorable was the service. Our server, Christopher, was exceptional — attentive without ever being intrusive. He kept our water glasses filled, made sure drinks arrived quickly, and anticipated our needs throughout the night. He really felt like the perfect host. We left saying we’ll absolutely be back — my husband even remarked that the experience reminded him of a Houston’s or Hillstone, but with its own Coconut Grove charm. Highly recommend Chop for anyone looking for a great meal, impeccable service, and an overall fantastic dining experience.
My experience at Chop Steakhouse & Bar was outstanding. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was excellent, and the service truly elevated the visit. Our waitress, Macy, was exceptionally informative, attentive, and professional, making sure every detail was taken care of. Her knowledge of the menu and recommendations added to an already great dining experience. I would highly recommend Chop Steakhouse & Bar and look forward to returning.
Pleasantly surprised. Excellent atmosphere, spectacular food, delicious drinks, and impeccable service. It wasn’t very crowded, but with the right marketing and word of mouth, it could easily become the next Hillstone: a perfect spot to meet after work, enjoy a romantic dinner, or spend time with family during the day. Wishing you much success!
Let me tell you something… from the moment I walked in, it was clear that Chop Steakhouse in coconut grove is in a league of its own and a huge part of that is thanks to the incredible leadership team. General Manager Tyler runs a top-tier operation with class, warmth, and attention to detail. You can feel his influence in every corner of the restaurant, from the smooth service to the perfectly curated atmosphere. Managers Joe and Anthony were also outstanding, present, professional, and genuinely committed to making my experience unforgettable. They checked in just the right amount, ensuring everything was running seamlessly. Their hospitality elevated my dining experience tenfold. And then there’s Chef Alex, the culinary mastermind behind one of the best meals I've had in Miami. Every dish was executed to perfection. My food was absolutely next level, cooked flawlessly and bursting with flavor. The sides and dishes were just as impressive, and the dessert. This team is the definition of excellence. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Miami, Chop Steakhouse is a must. Can’t wait to come back. Cheers!
Chop Steakhouse and Bar exceeded my expectations. The food, service, and ambiance was absolutely amazing. Joana was our server for the night. She was professional and kind. She went over the menu and checked on us often. Thank you for your professionalism! I celebrated my birthday here with my husband. We had the garlic Parmesan chicken wings which were crispy and delicious. My dinner was crab and shrimp linguine. Delicious! It also had a little spice. Actually too much spice for me but the manager and chef that night were so gracious and accommodating. The chef made the dish with a butter sauce which was amazing. Thank you so much for that! (Anthony) My husband had the prime New York strip with a side of brussel sprouts. The steak was cooked to perfection and the brussel sprouts were the best I've had at a restaurant so far. My key lime pie was the best ending to the night. We will be back with more people. Thank you for the birthday celebration!!
We enjoyed a wonderful Saturday evening at this recently opened restaurant in Coconut Grove / Cocowalk. Christopher our server, took great care of our table. He was friendly, very attentive, and professional. We had several appetizers and all were very tasty. The steaks we ordered were absolutely delicious . All steaks come with beans and carrots. Good selection of side orders, too. Desserts were heavenly delicious. The size of the cakes was a nice surprise. Perfect to share. Overal, it was a delightful experience that will be repeated soon. Place has a bar and several TV screens for sports viewing too. It was packed on that Saturday evening. Highly recommended.
We dined here for a family function with a party of 8 on Veterans Day. The service was world class and the food was excellent. They had a 1/2 price on bottles of Decoy so we polished off 3 of those. We had an assortment of burgers, steak sub, ribs, shrimps, fries and huge onion rings. All were cooked perfect and the staff were very accommodating by checking on us all the time. Even though we were seated on the outside patio, they have a huge inside dining room that is exquisite & beautiful. This restaurant is located perfectly inside the heart of the grove in Cocowalk. We will come back again for sure. Thanks.
My girlfriend and I celebrated our 1 month anniversary here and had a phenomenal time! The Manager Joseph and our server Vanessa provided great service and made sure our night was super special. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was gorgeous and we will definitely be returning.
This restaurant is exactly what Coconut Grove was missing! The steak is high-quality and cooked to perfection, the appetizers blow your mind (especially the mushroom goat cheese dip and calamari), the cocktails are thoughtfully curated, and the service is outstanding! The ambiance is sophisticated yet lively. I 100% recommend to anyone!
Had lunch there with my mom & everything we ordered was delicious and I mean everything! From the drinks to the food ! Love the playlist of music it’s definitely a vibe & I Love how attentive the staff & servers (Rebecca) are! Food was a bit pricey but hey you get what you pay for 10/10
George was amazing! Best mixologist in Miami. Such good vibes, delicious food, and so hospitable. Definitely will be back. Highly recommend.
Great place in the Grove. Super great to people watch. We got this steak Caesar salad and the wings. Both amazing. I got the draft and clarified pina colada. Yum.
Easy to find, love the inside and atmosphere. Greated when we walked in, Sophie had amazing energy as our server and the meats were incredible. Amazing Location in Cocowalk.
We’ve dined here several times, and in addition to the impeccable food and excellent service, tonight we had the pleasure of exploring more of the craft cocktails. Sebas, a true master in mixology, went above and beyond—treating us to both signature drinks and creative off-the-menu selections. Be sure to see him at the bar for an outstanding experience.
Had the pleasure of visiting Chop recently after its grand opening, was pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the food and cocktails on the menu. Standouts include the pepper corn crusted prime new york and the madeira chicken. What stood out more than the food was the service, everyone was on top of ensuring my dining experience was as amazing as could be, special thanks to Ben for taking care of me and my group that night. Would love to revisit and get to try everything Chop has to offer, definitely making trips back here.
The Chop Steakhouse on Grand Avenue is an absolute gem, and our experience was nothing short of fantastic. The restaurant is stunning, both inside and out, with a gorgeous view overlooking the iconic corner of Coconut Grove. It’s the perfect spot to soak in the vibrant atmosphere. What really made our evening special, though, was the exceptional service. Our waiter, Michael, was incredible. He was patient and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain the menu and guiding us toward some truly delicious choices. He recommended the Wild Mushrooms with Goat Cheese dip and it was the highlight of the meal. It’s served with a generous portion of seasoned pita bread, and every bite was amazing. The drinks were also top-notch. The Fuego Reposado Margarita, which was a unique and refreshing mix of Patrón reposado tequila, guava, jalapeño, citrus, and black salt. But my Espresso Martini was something else—it was unbelievably well-prepared and perfectly balanced. The food, the drinks, and the beautiful setting all made for a memorable night, but Michael's fantastic attitude and excellent service were the real stars. I can't wait to go back and try the 40oz Tomahawk Steak that he recommended. This place is highly recommended!
Had dinner last night and everything was amazing! The service was perfect. Make sure to ask for Kylie to be your waitress. She has amazing energy and gave us great food recommendations. We had the butchers meal with 3 different steaks.
Great happy hour! With good bites and drinks! The food was very tasty and good sized portions. We loved the happy hour oysters, the steak bites and the pork chop. The manager is very attentive and the wait staff was wonderful.
Had Maria as our server and she was extremely professional, friendly and attentive. The appetizers, food was delicious and portions were just right. The ambiance is nice and relaxed for early dinner 5ish. Between the service, food and ambiance we will definitely be going back and looking forward to it.
We had a wonderful experience at Chop Steakhouse yesterday! My husband and I were walking by and decided to sit outside with our dog. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The hostess who greeted us was kind and attentive. I didn’t get her name, but she had beautiful braids and went above and beyond by offering water for our dog and keeping it refilled throughout our meal. Our server Justin was outstanding. He was hilarious and knew the menu like the back of his hand. We will definitely be requesting him next time! I ordered the Chop Burger and my husband had the Madeira Chicken, both of which were fantastic. If you’re looking for great food and even better service, this is the place to go!
I walked by the front and noticed this beautiful place — it was new to me, so we decided to step in. I was welcomed with a big smile and seated at a lovely table near the terrace. The service was absolutely amazing! Sasha and Samantha were so attentive, making great recommendations, and everything was truly spectacular. Prince was also present when needed and made sure my experience went above and beyond expectations. Definitely my new favorite spot in Coconut Grove! The French onion soup was the best I’ve had in Miami, the wine was delightful, my steak frites were sensational, and to finish, the crème brûlée with fresh berries was simply mind-blowing — it brought back so many wonderful memories.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Chop Steakhouse, thanks to our waiter, Michael. From the start, he was warm, attentive, and very professional. He guided us through the menu with great recommendations and made sure our drinks and courses were timed perfectly. At one point, we asked to change tables, and Michael handled it seamlessly, making sure we were comfortable the entire time. Since it was my birthday, he also surprised me with a complimentary dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch and really made the evening special. Michael’s service struck the perfect balance of attentiveness without ever being intrusive. His genuine friendliness and positive energy elevated the whole experience. Overall, Michael went above and beyond, and we left feeling celebrated and well taken care of. We’d gladly return and ask for him again!
Such a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly, but what really stood out was the service. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel so taken care of the entire time. Management clearly runs a tight ship and genuinely cares about the guest experience. Warm, welcoming, and well worth the visit. Can’t wait to come back!
I had a fantastic experience with Daniela and Mica! They were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. Their recommendations were spot on, and they created a warm, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by when they're on shift! 🍹✨
Love this place! Food was excellent. The goat cheese dip appetizer and the sea bass were both fantastic. Our server Kayla was so nice - she was attentive and our food and drinks came out quickly. Good amount of different cocktail options too. Would recommend in Coconut Grove 100%
This was my first time at Chop Steakhouse, and my husband and I decided to sit at the bar. I honestly don’t even know where to begin, the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Juan’s service and hospitality were unlike anything I’ve experienced before. His attention to detail and genuine care in making sure everything was perfect truly stood out. He went above and beyond to create such a memorable evening for us. We can’t wait to come back!
My mother and I live in San Diego. We came out here to watch the Miami football game with our cousins who live in Brickell. This restaurant was the absolute PERFECT experience. Our bartender George was beyond incredible, from personality, to drink recommendations, to even recommending a sauce I’ve never heard of for our steak that blew us away. I have a new drink of choice (gimlet with cucumber), a new favorite steakhouse, and a night to remember because we decided to come here. Also, the other bartenders were amazing (special shout out to Micah for being amazing as well). I loved every bit of our experience here. 9.7/10 Portnoy scale.
Cant wait to go back. Manager Genar was very helpful and server Rebecca were great. The food was delicious! We highly recommend the steak bites..the crab cakes and the miso sea bass. Only downside was its noisy. Most of the tables were high topped so if you need a regular table I recommend advising when you make your reservation.
Hands down the best restaurant we’ve ever been to. My husband has a shellfish allergy and the staff went above and beyond making sure he was taken care of. The managers would deliver his food and reassure him that the plate had zero cross contamination which is incredible - we usually stress when we go out to eat but not here! The food was phenomenal and our server, Kayla, was highly attentive and friendly. 10/10 experience - reservation was easy to make too!
Went here for some drinks with two other couple and sat at the bar. Overall great experience, will be going back for brunch as their menu looks delicious. The drinks were good, they pretty much make anything you’re in the mood for. Bartenders were great and attentive. Ordered a burger which was decent and French toasts from the brunch menu and they were delicious. Will be going back for sure.
This was our first time in Miami for the boat show, we found seats at the bar and had an excellent bartender -George! He explained how the steak was prepared , which was exactly what we wanted and made my husband an exceptional Old Fashioned drink. Thank you George for making our experience exceptional!
Just went here for dinner last night. Food was fantastic and the service was absolutely outstanding. Our waiter Christopher genuinely felt like he wanted to help and take care of us. He was never too nosy but was always there at the perfect time to explain and take care of us. Food was just perfection and the presentation was top notch. Don't think twice about coming here- You will love it. I am so happy to see this incredible Canadian chain doing so well in the United States. Go Canada!!!
The atmosphere, the venue, the people, the workers, the bartenders, the managers were 1000% on point. This restaurant by far is the best I have no complaints whatsoever. The chef did an amazing job with the food and his team in the kitchen. Kudos to you! I've never had a cold smoked ribeye steak and let me tell you this will be my go to dish going forward. Isa was our waitress and she was exceptional all her recommendations made our experience more enjoyable. Because of her we will definitely be returning to try the rest of the items on the menu. I gave my compliments about her to Anthony the manager. He was very attentive. Thank you for an unforgettable time.
The customer service at Chop is by far the best I have experienced in a long time. Our waitress Sara was extremely friendly, gave us excellent food recommendations, and our glasses were never empty. We never had to ask for anything. All our needs were met before we even thought to ask. The gentleman bringing our entrees even advised he was having the chef bring “better” French fries for my nephew to ensure they were hot and fresh. Our steaks were perfectly prepared, and all of us left planning our next visit.
Micah at Chop Steakhouse is an absolute gem. From the moment you sit at the bar, she makes you feel genuinely welcome. Micah has that rare mix of professionalism, warmth, and confidence that turns a simple dinner into a memorable experience. She knows the menu and drink pairings inside and out, gives great recommendations, and somehow manages to be attentive without ever hovering. Her cocktails are perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and made with obvious care. You can tell she takes pride in what she does. Beyond her skills, it’s her energy that stands out—friendly, upbeat, and effortlessly cool. She makes everyone feel like a regular, even on their first visit. If you’re going to Chop, do yourself a favor and sit at the bar with Micah. She’s the kind of bartender who keeps you coming back—not just for the drinks, but for the experience.
The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between sophisticated elegance and warm, welcoming comfort. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable, guiding us through the wine list and explaining the different cuts of meat with genuine passion. If you are looking for the best steak in the city for a special occasion or a high-end business dinner, Chops is the gold standard. We will definitely be back!
Went out to dinner tonight on New Year’s Eve and had an amazing time. It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced such a great New Year’s Eve at a restaurant. Our waiter, floor managers, and entire staff were incredibly kind and polite. The food was top tier, and my lychee martini was perfection. Cheers to this restaurant no regrets, loved everything.
We were offered prosecco to keep us waiting for our table, which some fancier places are far from doing ! The ambiance felt overwhelming at the “bar area” (while waiting) it’s very loud and busy as it was game night, but once our table ready we were taken to the “restaurant area” which is beautiful and much quieter. The cocktails are on point & the appetizers are to die for ! We took the filet mignon & the prime in peppercorn crust, the meat in itself was delicious, tender, juicy and perfectly cooked, HOWEVER the amount of SALT ! It deserves to be in capital as it was truly taking over the tastiness of the meat and the sauces. We will definitely go back as it was truly a good experience with an impeccable service but we will definitely ask for a salt free cooking 🙂
Overall: a wannabe chic sports bar with distinctly average food. I had high hopes for this new Coconut Grove establishment, but my Friday night visit to the fairly packed spot quickly tempered my expectations. The vibe was certainly different from other local eateries. Unfortunately, the menu, despite its hefty prices, offered little to intrigue. I defaulted to a classic choice. The steak was under-seasoned, and its sauce, frankly, was crude. It was edible, nothing more. The accompanying dishes fared no better: salt-laden fries and bare, undressed arugula rounded out the disappointment. The staff were pleasant enough, but in Coconut Grove, that's par for the course. Edit: the response of the owner is ♥️, thank you for being open to feedback. I'm looking forward to trying Chop again soon.
Unfortunately, our experience at Chop Steakhouse in Coconut Grove was disappointing from start to finish. Our initial impression was not great — the hostess was neither attentive nor welcoming. Even though we had a reservation, we were made to wait without any explanation, and her demeanor felt cold and unfriendly. As the evening went on, service did not improve. Our food took an unusually long time to arrive. When the manager, Joe, came over, instead of addressing the delay professionally, he made a sarcastic comment about the kitchen being “slammed.” This was on a Tuesday night, which made the remark feel dismissive rather than reassuring. When our meals finally arrived, my husband’s 10-ounce filet looked nearly identical in size to my 7-ounce filet, which was disappointing and raised questions about value and accuracy. When the manager returned, his tone again felt strange and sarcastic rather than service-oriented. At that point, I chose not to continue the conversation. Overall, the lack of warmth, professionalism, and accountability left a very poor impression. Sadly, I will not be returning to Chop Steakhouse and would not recommend it to others based on this experience.
Unfortunately this was my first visit and was looking forward to it. The delays started while waiting to get seated even though our group had reservations. People came after us and were seated right away while we stood and waited. The hostess apologized. She said 2 minutes which turned into 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, another apology then we finally got seated. Waitress came within 5 minutes and was training another server. That's fine we were not in a rush. Took our drink order and was served fairly quickly. Bread was served. Waited about 15 minutes before the server appeared to take the order. The first appetizer came after about 10 minutes, the table was cleared after we waited a while and then we waited another 10-15 min for the salad to arrive. Servers reappeared to give us fresh plates and disappeared again. From that time on we were never approached again, 15, 20, 30 minutes passed by and we had to flag someone down. They said they would check on our order. That person disappeared for 10 minutes. Our original servers were spotted serving other tables across the room but they never looked our way. About 10 minutes later another gentleman appeared and apologized and said our order was almost ready. That means that about 45 minutes and the main course was still not ready. We politely declined the meal. They were apologetic and took care of the bill and we left. The place is very beautiful inside, lively, very loud, but the appetizer and salad we did get was only fair, no wow factor. It was an unpleasant experience and have no desire to return. It was not overwhelming busy but they must have been short staffed. Can't really say but no excuse for the servers to leave us stranded with no communication.
First the positive. The staff are very nice. However, I went on a day that was not that busy and our server rarely came around. When our food finally arrived after a long time, it ALL arrived cold, signaling it had been sitting for some time. We were starving so we ate some of it. When the manager came later we told him and he offered us a dessert. We declined since we had ordered some martinis. When the martinis came out they were the wrong order (we asked for regular olives and they put in blue cheese olives which I HATE). The martinis tasted pretty bad (it's hard to mess up a dirty martini). I asked for a replacement which was even more horrible...at that point I gave up. I highly doubt I'll return :(
My husband and I are locals who live in Coconut Grove and dine out frequently. Yesterday, we decided to go to Chops because of its proximity to home, upscale ambiance, god food, and great TV setup to watch games. We arrived around 5:00 pm, well before the 7:30 pm game, and were seated by two female hosts at a table near the TVs. We specifically mentioned we wanted a good table to watch the game, and we were seated at a table for four, as our friends were joining shortly. At no point were we informed there was a time limit on the table. We ordered food, a bottle of champagne, and cocktails. When our friends arrived, they also ordered food and drinks. Our server was excellent, and everything was going well until the general manager, Tyler Jones, approached our table before halftime and told us he needed the table back. We were shocked. We were still actively consuming food and drinks, with items still on the table. When we explained that no one mentioned a time limit, he stated it was “clearly stated on a reservation app.” We explained that we did not have a reservation we were walk-ins and were never told about a 2-hour limit. Despite this, he continued to insist we needed to leave. His tone was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Even our server mentioned we were her only table consuming at this level, and our total bill was approximately $1,200. This is extremely poor management. A general manager should lead by example, not pressure paying customers out while they are still dining and drinking, especially without prior communication. If there is a strict table limit, that responsibility falls on the host to clearly explain it upfront. We will not be returning. There are plenty of local restaurants that value their patrons and create a welcoming, unrushed experience, including Carbone Vino, Da’Angelino, Narbona, and Bellini. Very disappointing.
