⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Churchill's Pub | Monday Night Magic Monday nights here are majestic! The ambiance is electric, featuring a LIVE jazz band with musicians constantly popping in to keep the vibe fresh. Out back, artist Marcus Blake hosts an incredible open mic for Miami's artists to share their passion 💜. The food and drink menu is delicious: - Beer on tap and great selections. - Sweet-and-Sour Wings: Tangy, sweet, and perfectly crunchy outside, juicy and flavorful inside—a perfectly executed staple dish. - They also offer other interesting flavors, like the Pickle 🥒 wings, which look amazing! - I tried and highly recommend the Shrimp Taco 🌮🤤🍤. A bar that puts a great shrimp taco on the menu is a bar that's in it to win it, and they did! Special thanks to Tony for the assistance and the entire bartender/staff team for the wonderful service. I had a great time two weeks in a row! —Howard
Basically, the CBGB’s of Miami. I would say that it’s not the typical Miami crowd. If you’re looking for an alternative to South Beach, where the rich and superficial hangout. I would say go to Churchhill. Any given day, you could see live music and arts being displayed. Definitely a place for rock music and experimental noise. I’m not gonna say that their beer prices are any better than anywhere else in South Florida, but it’s Florida so what do you expect? Took my friends there for psych fest and they definitely enjoyed themselves. Do they have an indoor and outdoor venue. So you definitely have choices along with the side room in the outside. You have an indoor bar and outdoor bar. Well, I can say it’s definitely not the Churchills of the 90s and early 2000s. The bathrooms now have soap, water and the working hand dryer.
So glad Churchill’s is open again! GM Matthew is doing a great job running the place — you can really feel the positive energy. The staff is super friendly and professional. Big shoutout to Alyssa, Katie, Lazaro(Flaco), Claude, and Chef Tony for always making it a great time! The new menu is awesome — and seriously, the ribs are the best in town. My food at home is starting to go bad because I keep eating dinner here 😂 They’ve got a solid pool table, and I play whenever I can. Happy Hour drafts from 4–7 are a nice bonus. I used to stop by maybe once a month, but now I’m there three or four times a week!
Great place real Punk venue cool staff and music.
These pics by Javier Caso took place two years ago in this emblematic place with Porno Para Ricardo Cuban punk band performing for the very firs time. I really enjoy playing music here and the public was really good. Miss the place with so much nostalgia. I also was told many important rock and roll figures pass by several times. Love the name too.
Amazing place for food, music and fun!! One of a kind atmosphere, fantastic food and amazing live music regularly!!
Supercool young budding performers in a laid back bar environment. This is definitely a unique establishment. Parking is $5 and the parking lot is safe & secure. This is located in the Heart of Little Haiti (Mami).
An Original place. What I can think for describing this would be the terminator 2 intro bar scene or some place taken out of robocop1. This is a must visit place for fans of music due the variety of bands that performs live. Also the heavy metal community benefits as becoming a spot for hangout and see your favorite local or known underground bands. Florida Death Metal lives!
My gf and I flew in to watch Lucifer here this weekend. Reminded me of going to listen to grunge bands in the late 90’s \=/ the music was loud, the whiskey was flowing and everyone there was enjoying themselves. Glad to see places like this alive and thriving! Thanks Churchill for a sweet locale!
Super rad punk bar with a lot of history. Great space too with multiple stages and excellent bartenders. 12/5 stars all day!
One of Miami's most popular destinations for tourist and residents alike with artist like Marilin Manson and bands like Against All Authority having found their first gigs under this historic place.
Awesome spot. Good live music and the atmosphere is very laidback and chill. Good place to meet locals and escape the touristy vibe of South Beach. Drinks are very affordable and the pool table is great!
This place is cool. Nice vibe. Even if you’re not into rock, it’s a nice hangout. Great bar area. Pool tables. Large outdoor area to get some air.
Went there for my brothers birthday to have a nice fish dinner. Music so scary. Hit in head by female skeletor and watched elderly man defecate on stage. Owner prevented us from leaving and was arrested. Five stars.
Amazing venue, has a VARIETY of acts for everyone to enjoy and the atmosphere is always fun!! You see the most unique people and acts here all the time and there are multiple stages for everyone to enjoy.
Small bar and venue for underground and upcoming artists. Love the vibe every time I go. Highly recommend ear plugs as I go for rock shows and they can get quite loud.
Dive bar... period. Cold beer, local music, interesting patrons, $5 to park, seedy neighborhood, not friendly bar staff (most nights) and intimidating door guys... what’s not to love? If you want clean and cute with IG selfie opportunities keep driving into Wynwood or the Upper East Side... this place here is for drinks, plastic cups and loud music!
This place rocks! I enjoy it every time I come.. i love to play pool table while there.. they have an awesome happy hour - and nice jukebox for whatever genre.
Love the vibes at Churchill's! My buddies and I constantly keep coming back to checkout some of the local bands perform. This place really is an infamous little spot. Can't wait to come back and enjoy this crazy place.
Fantastic bar! This place has been around for over 30 years and some of music's most influential artist have played there when they were just locals. You can meet great people young and old, artists, music lovers.
The guy in front of me smells like rancid soup, the band in front of him is really good so it's ok that the volume is incredibly loud. There's British beer on tap, a mosh pit and hot bartenders so basically the best in South Florida. Just bring a lot of Purell EDIT: I'll take one star off if I end up having permanent eardrum damage
Weird place with terrible bathrooms. But I loved the experience. Bartender was great. I think the bathrooms are terrible on purpose. I would like to go back again when there is a different type of band playing.
Miami’s CBGB. A multi-decade classic venue.
$20 for a night of seeing four punk bands in Miami? Seems like a bargain... sold! Drinks are priced fairly for being in this town. The decor and atmosphere is iconic. Sure the bathrooms are as horrific as you'd expect, but it's all part of the vibe. There's a nice outdoor area if it gets too loud or smoky inside. Limited parking outside, but the venue easily accessible via your favorite taxi app.
I love this place. They always have all kinds of great live music. The bartenders are simply awesome and they make you feel right at home from the minute you come in.
This place is a gem in the subpar Miami music scene. Open mics on mondays are very fun, you get to see a variety of acts from beginner bands to rappers and even stand up comedians. Crowds of all ages. A couple of pool tables and an outdoors area that is very suiting to the environment.
Great atmosphere. Definitely not a your typical British style pub. If you are looking for that may want to look elsewhere. More of a modern dive bar. Great crowd, pool tables and staff is friendly.
Love this place. It's been a long time since I've been there for a band, but being there for soccer & Olympics it's fantastic! Great prices fun people. Also, I guarantee that you'll have an amazing time at a concert there.
Bar none, the best dive bar in Miami. Come here for the Tuesday comedy open mic. It's easy to get roasted then loved all at once. Plus, you can buy shots for the entire room for $40. Ugh, perfect.
They have a cool open mic on Mondays hosted by a talented singer Carla Cabello. Comics, poets, rappers and singers all welcomed. The prices are fair for the area and food is pretty good. Live shows on the regular ranging from Jazz to noisy stuff I dont like, but thats okay cause I can go sit outside and just chill.
It's a famous (or infamous) dive bar of Miami. Historic, and truly a beloved landmark. Come on Monday nights for jazz nite, or open mic night. Come when there's a rugby or premier league game. Come when there's a local punk and/or hardcore show. Order their french fries, or fish and chips. Enjoy the English decor, and double decker bus in the parking lot.
Been around since the 80s, stayed alive through the 90s, awesome shows during the 2ks, still doing it today. Minor things have changed that have made a major impact. A little bit a sprucing up the last couple of years but that classic spot will always be dear to generations of locals and wanders alike. If you like beers and you like shows set in a nostalgic punk scene then Churchill's Pub id your spot.
Churchills was always my favorite dive bar/ music venue/ hole in the wall. Churchills was a staple in the south Florida punk rock community and it’s so sad that it is not there anymore because of greedy developers. I had seen so many bands play here over the years. It really was nothing great to a lot of people in South Florida but to a small many, this place was and will always be special.
We got the chance to meet the manager, Matthew, and found out what a helpful and kind person he is! Truly sympathetic—completely recommend the place for the reopening!
Love the vibe of this place! My boyfriend and I constantly come back to check out the local bands. The place really is a still in time, definitely takes me back to the 70s. Can't wait to be back and continue on daydreaming about a simpler time.
The best little hole in the wall. This establishment has been an integral part of the Miami music scene offering live music every night. It's always an eclectic mix of artists depending on the night. Great place to book a show as well. The bathrooms could use a little help but other than that the place is worth it's weight in gold in history
the original stomping grounds for the punk, metal, rock scene
Great experience in this pub, especially thanks to Matthew, the manager who is very. I recommend it, not to be missed when it reopens!
If you've never been its a must! Dive bar supreme with great live music. Decent non snobby clientele which is rare for Miami. All colors, creeds, and types welcome. Decent pool tables too.
Not the safest area, but that doesn't take away from the atmosphere. It's been here a long time and it's not going anywhere anytime soon. The drinks are cheap and with food now added into the mix, things just got better. It's a grimey, dive bar with a lot of attitude. Locals acts and traveling bands make this their stomping grounds for performances.
The best live music venue in South Florida booking bands since 1930. Giving an opportunity to many up-and-coming musicians of every genre. From Jazz , Punk, Metal, this is the place to see artistic talent of all types.
They reopened with a kitchen and WOW! The smashburger was 🔥 my friend had the shepherds pie and she loved it. We'll be back very soon!
Awesome underground music great drinks , people downt to earth and pool 🎱tables free!!!
It’s a classic spot for live music. They have Jazz on mondays
The CBGB’s of the south! A Miami legend. So glad it’s back! The food is great this time around!!
Amazing pub, we got the luck to talk to the manager Matthew, he is so kind and cool, I will definitely come back when the bar opens !! Can’t wait!!!
Underground artists from the whole world used to perform here, great talent and personalities , the vives were amazing, all ages and backgrounds, from heavy metal to hip hop, poets, magicians, contortionists, comedians etc, any kind of performance could be seen here, even doggies were allowed. I really hope they open it back up, it was truly amazing they had Open mic 🎤 Mondays which was a real chill ambience and vive, people were really respectful yet friendly and talkative, the full bar and kitchen was a great plus.
Thank you Katie, glad to return to this unmissable Miami staple! :)
On a scale from zero to Miami, this is about a 1. A welcome break if you need it
Churchill’s Pub is more than just a bar — it’s a true landmark in Miami’s rock and punk scene. For decades, it has been a cornerstone of the city’s underground music culture, hosting countless local and touring bands that shaped the alternative sound of South Florida. The live music is the heart of the experience. From gritty punk shows to raw rock performances, there’s always energy in the air. It’s the kind of place where you can feel the history in the walls — authentic, unapologetic, and full of character. The prices are affordable, which makes it even better for enjoying a night out without breaking the bank. One of the things I appreciate most is the unique atmosphere. It offers three different spaces to enjoy: an area for live performances, a more relaxed bar setting to hang out with friends, and additional space to unwind and soak in the vibe. No matter where you settle in, the environment feels genuine and welcoming. The customer service is friendly and down-to-earth, adding to the laid-back, community-driven feel that makes this spot so special. In a state like Florida, where nightlife can sometimes feel commercial, Churchill’s stands out as something real and unforgettable. If you love live music, history, and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere, this is a must-visit in Miami. I highly recommend it.
Honestly Alyssa being behind the bar is heaven sent. Best drink and amazing vibes. Thank you Churchill’s and Alyssa for the dope memories.
I made the rare trip down to Miami with some girlfriends and stumbled upon Churchhills. We weren’t sure about the pub scene but we ended up having an amazing time! Our drinks were great and the staff was friendly. Special shout out to the bar back William! He was super attentive and definitely made sure we were comfortable and had an incredible experience.
I love this live music bar...i have been coming here for 20 years...one of the best venues for live music in miami(which we are sorely lacking)..i was sad during covid and years that they were closed but very happy with the reopen/reset...the staff, bartenders, sound guy, bouncers are all great!!! And a pool table and outdoor patio with outside stage!!
Perfect punk and Grudge environment. Feel free to start a Mush pit! Good reasonable drinks. Friendly crowd.
Churchills is the best. They don't gaf in the best way, clean but still divey Irish bar. Few places that really champion local music
Best bar best people and Tony who runs the kitchens makes amazing food love the tacos, fries, mushroom sandwiches, and he gives amazing customer service. make sure to catch all the live music events this place offers
Buena comida.buen trato. A mi en especial me gustó
Cool place. Expensive drinks.
Great location for shows. Rich in local music history as well as indie artists. Decently priced drinks, open parking layout, terrible bathrooms.
Bartender Nicole was very helpful with what was there to see in Little Haiti and Wynwood. She was very attentive and has a great personality too! We were there like before the pub was lit , never the less she kept up a good conversation! Food was awesome! We had the black bean burger, bbq chicken sandwich and spicy fries provided by The Lost and Found Saloon.
Miami's only punk bar. Under new management. Its getting a little to clean and the locals are slowly changing. Get a beer. The drinks are week. Good live music.
The live music here is almost always great, and the beer is $4. My main dislike is that they allow smoking inside, and I absolutely hate cigarette smoke. My hair always stinks when I leave this place. If you don't mind that, then you should be fine. $5 parking and $5 cover.
It is always perfect here, even if I don't get back for a year or so. Staff is great, food is fresh and delicious- I love the meze including eggplant and yogurt. Octopus is amazing!! You won't regret an afternoon lunch or dinner here- especially the chill, romantic outdoor garden setting.
Great dive bar. It is definitely not one to go to if you're looking for somewhere quiet. However, it's a fun music venue and all the bartenders were great. Took away one star for the state of the bathrooms...they were not clean. I didn't want to touch anything.
The place has slowly been improving over the years. It's certainly better now than it was years ago. Some shows are no-smoking inside but it's hard to know which ones that may be. Honestly wish they would make it permanent, as I have many friends that don't want to go there due to the smoking inside on many shows. They have plenty of space in the patio for smokers, I don't see how this isn't a good idea. The bathrooms (at least one of them) look much better, other one seems they've kept it in it's "original" state lol. Beer prices are ok. I think the sound system could be much better. I feel like the place could really focus on upgrading its sound and lights. Despite all these I still give this place 4 stars cause of its charm. Any other place would get 3 stars.
Great place to see a show, but if you have a band thats going to perform there and actually want to get seen by the crowd that's there to listen to live music, make sure that the promoter you are talking to for the place understands that they're not to even waste your time unless they're going to be providing either the indoors floor or stage for you to play. They have an outdoor stage but this is South Florida were talking about, so unless they get some type of retractable covering for the weather, half the time playing Outdoors means that you're playing in the back closet! Which is still some exposure but far from ideal. Now if you're somebody that just wants to go check out some good local music, I highly recommend it.
Churchills has a lot of amazing energy stored within its walls. It's grungy, dirty, raw chill, laid back, sexy, fun, crazy and most definitely rocking. Locals hangout. Just wish they allowed smoking outside ONLY. It gets pretty bad indoors, hard to get away from when you're dancing.
I love this place. The food is available, the drinks plentiful, and the people watching enjoyable. I love it when the bartenders kick out under-ages on Friday nights. You gotta wait your turn just like the rest of us honey! The only thing I would change about this place is the frequency that the fireplace is lit. It should be on every night in my opinion and it isn't.
Classic dive bar. They might not play my music but the prices are solid and the kitchen tries. Live entertainment and nice bartenders. Close to some of the best restaurants in the city.
Nice place with good atmosphere, TVs and music. Reasonable prices. Beware of the bathrooms, they haven't been updated or cleaned since the Carter administration was in power.
Low rent smokey atmosphere with decent pool tables and large screen TVs but if you're here for the music, check ahead of time because I went on an open mic jazz night and what I saw left a lot to be desired.
Allow me start by stating what should be a disclaimer. This place is a grimy dive of a bar in the best possible sense. It's home to punk rock and other music in SoFla and wouldn't be the same if it were a any different.
Great live music venue and I absolutely love it for the music as there is always bands and they truly support the scene! It’s just in a sketchy location, but my main reason for 3 stars is because...we’ll just go take a look at the bathrooms.
Cool place to hangout and listen to local musicians, poets, comedians and other performance shows. The restrooms are horrid. I would have given this review five stars if it wasn't for that particular part of the location.
Good environment. Pool tables. A performance stage for artists. And a back area for more privacy. The place is very unclean, and old looking. It fits with the theme of the place, there are cool murals in the outside area, but it still might be an issue for some.
The live performance was great, however the speakers were just a little too loud. They allow smoking, but it is large enough to walk around to different areas and even has an outdoor area with a nice acoustic for listening to the live music.
The art outside is dope! Staff didn't even greet us even though we sat in front of them for 10 mins, we finally got an order in & she gave me bud instead of bud light. $4.50 per beer. Eclectic punk music & crowd.
Sorry to see this place closed simply because so many bands had a chance to fill a tour date here...including my own. We played here in 2005 and it was full. Unfortunately over half the people there were just there to watch soccer and drink...but still a big crowd. Drinks were cold, didn't eat. Acoustics weren't great, but we didn't expect much when we pulled up and saw people walking barefoot across the streets and chickens running around aimlessly. It was punk rock...can't deny that.
The drinks are more expensive than my dive bar in Brooklyn. I get a beer and shot for $5 in Brooklyn. Here is $12
The bar tenders are unattentive. The bathrooms are a health hazard. There was literally a puddle of raw human waste on the floor, which was spilling out into the hall, this is no exaggeration. The drinks are overpriced and served in small plastic cups. However if you are able to look past being charged for parking in an unsafe lot, while having to avoid all of the panhandlers on your way in, then once inside having your bartender add unexplained charges to your tab, then it's an okay place to watch live bands.
4 liquor drinks... $100 including tip. $6 for ROCKS. Killer metal band but this is NOT the Churchill's I have played at and supported in my life. From the outside bar didn't get us the scotch we wanted from the inside bar even though there was nothing going on on the outside.
I am extremely disappointed in this place. I wish I would have experience it during it's prime day. Their website say free parking yet upon my arrival I had to pay $5 to park across the street. I would have parked my car on the public streets/roadals but this area is a high crime location. Also after walking in none of the staff acknowledge my presence and I sat at the bar for 10 mins before the bartender decided to get off her phone and stop texting and do her job. It's was super slow so I was willing to walk away. Again, horrible service but I gave them a change. Their website said the live music rock band will start at 9:30pm but it started after 10:30pm. This pub have a lots of potential but it's poorly managed. Will not recommend it and I am unwilling to return. Sad to see an iconic spot with rich history going beoken down to waste..
This place has always been known as a rundown, dirty venue. Hearing that it had new ownership, I was excited to see the changes. Unfortunately, the venue remains as nasty has it has ever been. The bathrooms have to be outside of the health code. Also, you are no longer allowed to go out the front door and come back in again. "parking staff" continues to be random homeless people who take 5 bucks and make you park in random lots. I really hope they can start making some positive changes, as this is a part of the Miami local scene history.
Horrible experience. I understand what a dive bar is, and I understand what a punk rock venue is. I understand that "dingy" and "a little gross" is not only implied, but encouraged. But Churchill's pub has gone above and beyond on these counts. I find the words "revolting" and "repulsive" more fitting. The bathrooms are beyond description . Anyone who has been here knows this. "Inhumane" is the best way i can think. Its never good if one feels the need to venture into Little Haiti to find a cleaner place to go to the bathroom. Each corner of the venue boasting uniquely horrific smells, ranging from aged bo at the entrance to stagnant sewage water in the back patio. All of this aside, we left early because the show would not have been in the least bit enjoyable at this venue. However, spite my early departure, I was refused a refund. All i want is a refund. That's fine that people want to congregate in this cesspool. But all I want is a refund.
Recently, I used to play there when I was in a band and I absolutely dreaded gigs there. The place is dark and stinky and and full of wasted weirdo old men who hit on young ladies. I don't feel safe there and everything is gross. I didn't even want to touch a chair in there. I can't stand Churchill's Pub. It's just dirty and there's an overall nasty and uncomfortable vibe there. -1,000 out of 10, would not effing recommend!
I don't know what night is a good night, but obviously it wasn't the night I went. I guess it was a black t-shirt sort of night. A lot of long faces. Sat at the bar, smoked nearly a whole cigarette before one of the bar maids even noticed me. RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE BAR. People came in and were served. I was the only Black man in the bar that night. There were a couple of black women the dyke like bar maid was kicking time and serving drinks to. I know I am not a good looking man but DAMN. Just another Miami Bar with a cool name. Bet you half these people have never even been to England. Am I opening the race deck...? Well down her,e there are sure enough people who make it seem fitting. ZERO when it comes to customer service. And if you are a Black man, make sure you go in wearing money stapled to your tux. Maybe you will be treated differently.
RIP OFF, be aware! Last night at the door after 12:00 and before paying the $5 entertainment fee we asked how long the live music will last. We were told 1.5 hour, so all 3 of us paid. Less than 5 min later the band was packing and the all of 15 customers were leaving. We asked to be reimbursed for our money and the extremely rude doorman gave us the finger while he was packing his toll table. As a live music aficionado I went there quite a lot in the past 20 years bringing all kind of public with me, but last night is surely the last time.
