Had a great dining experience at Cibo. The food was cooked well and very flavorful. If you happen to be in the area, it’s a good spot for Italian food, but nothing I would go out of my way for. That being said, the service was top and Eugene made our night run very smooth.

Hooray for Pizza! At the time of this review (not sure if it's still on-going, but this review was posted October 2025) Cibo has 50% off of all pizzas on Tuesdays! This was a great deal, and their kitchen (at least their pizza kitchen) is open concept so you can order your pizzas and watch as they're all made from scratch, tossed into the oven and then served! We'd ordered a few pizzas including a chicken pesto and what I remember as a pepperoni and hot pepper pizza, as well as a cheese pizza and something with hot sausage. Overall everything was cheesey and delicious and the servers had excellent wine recommendations. The interior is gorgeous with wine racks and shelves and the atmosphere is perfect for date nights and having intimate private conversations.

5 stars to our server!! She was prompt, incredibly helpful and friendly. Pizza was delicious and the bread was so fresh. Also reasonably priced. Would recommend if you are looking for a good vibe and hearty meal!

so delish, the service was incredible. we came as a party of 6, and our food came so quickly. our waitress was so helpful and kind, definitely deserved the 20% tip. the seafood pasta was so amazing, it has me thinking about it days later.

Visited for a birthday dinner with our group about a week ago. The food and atmosphere were spectacular! Our waitress was very nice but we could easily tell that she was nearing the end of her shift and wanted to go home. We still had an enjoyable time and it wasn't very busy at all so they didn't mind our group staying longer than the allocated time. Thanks for the service!

Cibo is a fantastic Italian restaurant with amazing food and a cozy atmosphere. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the flavors were rich and authentic, and the portions were generous. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It’s a great spot for a relaxed dinner or a special night out, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves Italian food.

Great food! We were 50 people from a conference. The bar put together a 12 course meal for us...wow! Amazing food...the Italian sauces in a variety of dishes were over the top. The pizzas were excellent! The cocktails were poured well. And the secret to ALL great restaurants is the staff...well trained. The chef should b proud! The lounge / bar area have lg screen TVs...we watched the Blue Jays make it to the WS!! Great place to celebrate something!!

The food was absolutely delicious, I had the best pasta I have ever had in my life here! (penne vodka) Our server Laura was even more amazing, she was so so sweet and provided excellent service. Will definitely be coming back!

We were able to grab a table just walking in on a Friday night. The funghi pizza was a winner, but all the food coming out of the kitchen looked great!

Cibo Wine Bar offers an exceptional dining experience with a perfect blend of authentic Italian flavors and a sophisticated ambiance. The extensive wine selection pairs beautifully with their handcrafted pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and fresh seafood. The service is attentive, and the atmosphere is warm yet upscale, making it a great spot for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings. Highly recommended for wine lovers and Italian cuisine enthusiasts!

The best Italian cuisine ever in the whole Toronto. The Ambience here is phenomenal and the staffs were groomed perfectly. The patio is also fantastic. The food is too good for the price they charge. Yes, the place is a little pricey but still it’s all worth for every dime you spent here. The appetiser Bruschetta was a good one . The Pasta Corta Chicken that I ordered was perfect with all the right flavours. The Pollo Parmigiana was the major highlight. The chicken was so tender and juicy. The Panna Cotta desserts served last was pure bliss. Do visit this place if you want to explore some superlative Italian cuisine

We had a wonderful lunch here today! The food and wine were great, but honestly our server Laura made the experience. She was so kind and attentive, and her thoughtful service really added to the experience and made it feel extra special. Thank you for such a wonderful afternoon, we’ll definitely be back!

I think this just might be the best Italian experience we’ve had in Toronto. First of all, the service is excellent; the servers are very attentive and nice. The food is absolutely spot on. The seafood pasta and the Short rib and eggs were absolutely amazing. Paired with the bottomless mimosas, we had the best brunch experience we’ve had in Toronto in a long time. Absolutely recommended for anyone who wants to have an authentic and classy Italian dining experience. Will be back to try more of the food and drinks.

Dinner at on King West to celebrate some special birthdays 🥳 The food was fabulous and so was the service. We had a fantastic waitress that knew the menu very well and made some great recommendations 👌🏽 We had: • Apps: Polenta Fries & Calamari Mains: • Gnocchi • Seafood Linguine • Bronzino 🐟 • Gorgonzola Pizza • Penne ala Vodka Dessert: • Tiramisu, Lemon Ricotta Cheesecake, Affogato

I can’t speak for the food, but I can speak for the drinks. We got a bottle of house wine and two cocktails and our bill was so cheap. The wine was good, and it was reported that the cocktails (negroni and old fashioned) were nice too. Service was lovely as well. We ended up here by accident, but were happy to have found it.

Perfect date night 🌹 we went here to celebrate and I was very pleased. Once yoy enter the restaurant the hostess stand is in front of a gorgeous backdrop of a wine wall. Very classy and elegant. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and seated promptly. We order merlot 🍷 and for appetizers we had steak 🥩 skewers. The steak was well done and very tasty 😋. For entrées we had lobster 🦞 ravioli and the seafood pasta 🍝. The lobster ravioli could have been better, it wasn't horrible but it wasn't amazing. The linguine had fresh clams 🐚 mussels🦪 calamari and tiger shrimp🦐 in tomato sauce 🍅. This was amazing 👏🏽 the flavor was perfect. The seafood was well prepared. To make up for ravioli we also order wood oven pizza 🍕with Italian sausage and rapini (San Matteo) this was very tasty and we enjoyed it. Finally for dessert, we had tiramisu and lemon ricotta cheesecake. Both items were decadent and sinfully delicious 🍰. After all this....we were stuffed!!!! I can't wait to go back 🧡 highly recommend this fine Italian restaurant

I had such an amazing experience dining here with my friends two weeks ago. Upon stepping into the restaurant we were greeted warmly by the hostess and our waitress. She was phenomenal and gave us some great recommendations. We ordered the homemade focaccia, the beef carpaccio, tuna tartare, bruschetta, and grilled calamari. The grilled calamari was absolutely amazing! So tender, smoky and delicious. For my main, I order the seafood risotto and the chef, Murphy, made it extra spicy to my liking. I can honestly say it is one of the best and most hearty risotto dishes I have ever had! We ended our dinner with delicious tiramisu, berry cheesecake and hazelnut mousse. The hazelnut mousse was the star of the show! This CIBO location is amazing and I will definitely be returning with my friends!

My wife and I enjoyed their brunch all you can eat. Food is prepared instantly at different cooking stations by the chef; pasta, pizza, roast beef, egg and waffle stations. The food quality is good. Friendly management and wait staff. We spoke briefly with one of the floor managers, Lora, whom checked in on us and quite friendly. A definite return with the kids too.

Truly wowed by the food and the service. My partner doesn’t generally enjoy Italian out but the food was so good he started planning our next visit here before we left. It’s pretty hard to screw up fried calamari but it’s also pretty hard to make it more memorable than any other restaurant’s calamari. This one was memorable. The seafood pasta (subbed for fresh in-house made spaghetti) hit every craving. Can’t wait to be back!

I have been to Cibo Wine Bar for several times, for dinner before drinks with friends, for brunch, for good times with friends who are visiting Toronto. I like bringing friends because they enjoy the food they serve, they are strategically located and we feel at home with our server. Not sure of the name, but Matteo was one of the best servers I had. He made us feel welcomed, took good care of us, our drinks came on time as well as our very yummy food. I would definitely recommend Cibo to my friends and followers on social media and hopefully Matteo can serve them.

Went there a couple of weeks ago and had a lovely experience. We ordered a bottle of sparkling, arancini, polenta fries, chicken pesto pizza, lobster ravioli and tiramisu. The Arancini were yum and super cheesy. The polenta fries were delicious and crispy. Very surprising dish for a first timer. Then for the mains we ordered the pizza which was really good, we couldn’t finish it. With that we got the lobster ravioli it was definitely yum but it was a tab bit salty for us. We ended our special meal with a tiramisu which was delicious. The ambiance was as expected and the service was very friendly and quick. Highly recommended!

This was not our first visit to this restaurant favourite, and it certainly won’t be the last. Our server Daniel was so sweet was kind enough to advise us about the happy hour time coming to an end, allowing us to add a couple more choices to our meal. It added to our great experience and we thought he was very thoughtful and diligent. To share we ordered the polenta fries & dip, octopus & bruschetta. All delicious choices I recommend. I enjoyed a Riesling, with the truffle tagliatelle, while my dinner mates ordered the lobster ravioli and the pappardelle. We all shared and I have to say the truffle is my personal favourite, but the others were highly enjoyable as well. We finished our meal with the chocolate bomb and a lemon gelato, and went home happy and full! Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic food and service at Cibo. The staff really went above and beyond for us. They even catered to one of my colleagues requests which normally wouldn't be possible. We had a birthday lunch with our family here and our experience was great! The food was amazing, great portions, and the staff were accommodating. It appears that this restaurant attracts well known celebrities, the restaurant had a slide show running of everyone that had dined with them. We were fortunate to meet Masai Ujiri, president of the Raptors Team while we were in the middle of lunch. Overall, great food and great experience!

Compliments to the Chef and crew. The Napoli pizza was delicious, especially with the fresh mozzarella. The braised short rib ravioli was a first for me and now a favourite. Finished with a chocolate baci bombe and macchiato. Highly recommend.

This is my third time visiting Cibo Wine Bar. I love the atmosphere and it’s a great place to bring friends or go on a date. Both my first and second time was great and meals came in fast!! My third time going was on Christmas, it was warm and cozy inside. We waited a long time for our meal, some people around us came later and still got their food earlier than us. While both of us were too shy to complain, the staff noticed and apologized. The manager and our waiter kept checking up on us and apologizing and even offered free drinks and dessert to accommodate us. They are very friendly and ensure their costumers are enjoying! I would come again!!

My friends and I came here for some appetizers and drinks before an event on a Saturday evening we absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. We ordered delicious apps like the Polenta fries, fried calamari, grilled octopus, fried zucchini & artichokes, bruschetta & multiple rounds of . The dessert is rich, delicious and has beautiful presentation. Our waitress was a gem and the playlist was exceptional. A great vibe overall

we loved the host and our waiter was really fun. he was so nice and attentive, and was a chap for complimenting our outfits. i got the spaghetti carbonara and i thought it was super salty. might have been the bacon bits, but other than that it was delicious. presentation was amazing. we got the fries which weren’t my favourite because i’m not a fan of cornmeal, but bub liked them. He got the lobster ravioli but it wasn’t enough for him portion wise because he’s a bigger guy. worked out that he finished my dish. dipping sauces were yummy. sangria was delicious and so was the wine. the atmosphere was super loud, i could barely hear bub which was to be expected for the toronto scene, wish the music wasn’t top 40 hits. overall, would come back to try other things on the menu.

The atmosphere and service is always great at Cibo. I’ve come here on a date, out with friends, and for a girls night out. Each time was a great experience. This time, we ordered the burrata to start. The prosciutto was cut perfectly thin, and although the burrata itself was on the smaller side, it was still a delicious plate. Both the bolognese sauce and the rosé sauce were creamy and so flavourful, definitely recommend either dish. I wouldn’t go as far as to say this is the best Italian restaurant in downtown Toronto, but it’s definitely a great option for a day/night out with its lovely atmosphere, great service, and delicious food.

Came in near closing this past weekend to warm up from the cold outside. We ordered some drinks and a margherita pizza to nibble on a slice each 4 ways which was delicious. The margarita and Aperol spritz were very nice as well. Would stop by for a full meal sometime.

The pear Gorgonzola pizza was PerFect. I tried a friend’s pesto gnocchi and it was good as heck too. Edit: came back again a week later with friends. Obviously reordered the Gorgonzola pizza! Tried the di Nicolino pizza (Gorgonzola has a hold on me though), and the Rigatoni & Fontina pasta (for my pasta with butter lovers, so savoury and simple, hits the spot).

Food and service was amazing! Came here for late dinner and had a reservation for 11pm which apparently was their last call but no one had communicated that to us beforehand. They were very accommodating since were able to keep the kitchen open for us until we ordered which was great. We loved every dish we ordered and our server was very friendly. Although some items on the menu were a bit pricey, they were worth it. Definitely coming back!

Came here for 1/2 priced pizzas and I was pleasantly surprised with how good they were. We tried the Fresh Italian Truffle and Di Nicola. Crust was light and pillowy. It also had lots of toppings. Definitely worth checking out on a Tuesday.

Shared a meal with 10 people in one of the private rooms for small parties and the helpful staff and coordinator did a wonderful and memorable service. Very reasonable per head price menu was a arranged but a word of caution, they do not offer corkage for special wines brought to their restaurant. They fortunately do have a good wine list.

Jesse is the one! I was responsible for organizing and rallying our corporate holiday dinner party for an intimate group of 10-16 people. This server really showed us what true service looks like — I almost forgot how professional, attentive and quality service can look like, with care. He read all of my directions for our timely service, treated our serious dietary restrictions with care and built a personal rapport with each and every single one of our guests. I am writing this review for fellow group outing planners to do what I will make sure I do in the future: request Jesse to do your service at all costs. It will transform your group event into an evening of culinary excellence you will never forget.

Love this place, and plan to come back often. The food is fantastic. The staff are friendly. We enjoyed everything. We were celebrating our 25th Anniversary and they made us feel special. As an Italian, I’m usually quite demanding when it comes to Italian food abroad. I’ve been to Cibo several times over the years, and I have to say that since my last visit about a year ago, the quality and authenticity have gone up significantly. This time I had the arancini and the handmade short rib ravioli. Both were absolutely delicious. The arancini were perfectly crisp on the outside and beautifully balanced inside, just as they should be. The short rib ravioli were rich, flavourful and clearly freshly made, with a depth of taste that genuinely reminded me of home. I’ll definitely be back.

went here for a friend’s bday dinner. the place was really beautiful! nice views into the kitchen and overall clean/fancy dining areas. service was good! a little slow at parts, but it seemed to be quite a busy night in terms of customers. food was overall pretty good! a little pricy, but still worth it. the fries weren’t quite my taste or favoured texture, but others at the table enjoyed. the seafood pasta also was pretty good, although i will note the sauce itself was a little on the fishy side for me. the truffle pizza was my fav in all honesty—it was so delicious! in all, great place and i would love to come back to try more dishes (and eat the truffle pizza again haha)

When I went here last time, I didn’t have such a good experience food-wise, but this time around was much better. Went on a Sunday evening and it was pretty empty considering the amount of seating. The exposed brick and wood structure gives the space a nice character. Had the octopus as an app and was pleasantly surprised at the portion and flavour. It wasn’t tough which was a win, and I like the depth of smokiness and flavour from grilling the octopus. I also had the mushroom tagliatelle pasta which had a nice truffle flavour. It didn’t really have protein by default from what I recall so I had to add chicken as an extra for around $8 on top. Personally, prefer when the pasta feels like it holds its own once it’s tossed in the sauce, and this was okay overall but I like it more when it’s al dente and I can tell the sauce hasn’t stewed it long enough where it starts to kinda get a bit mushy and the sauce is almost dried up. Our server was pretty attentive and kept checking on our table throughout, so service was also good.

Always wanted to try out Cibo and finally did during winterlicious! Food is great and the restaurant is open late; good for the price value, would definitely come back! Service was a bit slow for a week night but the food made up for it.

We came to this Italian restaurant by suggestion of an Italian friend. We ordered the house made focaccia bread with spiced olives and pepperoncino and Caesar salad to share, both were good sized portions. Then for our main we shared the Capricciosa pizza topped with tomato, fresh mozzarella, Italian ham, mushrooms, artichokes, olives. It was 12 inches cut in four slices. It was cooked well done, a bit burnt around the top. Overall the food was great, the restaurant was pretty quiet on a Monday night at 5:30pm.

Came here (with reservations) after a Jays game with friends from BC. We were seated right away + thankful they were able to accommodate 2 extra people. The restaurant is beautiful and love the semi open kitchen feel. We ordered appetizers; bruschetta, burrata and focaccia bread (delicious) For mains we ordered pastas and they were all delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed the mushroom Tagliatelle. Closed dinner with tiramisu + a cheesecake. Service was great + we really appreciated the wine knowledge!

Decided on Cibo for dinner tonight. Seemed to have a few tables available. We sat inside behind the bar in a quiet area but the a/c was blowing on us. Service was good and fairly attentive. Somewhere mod-dinner our server was changed the new one was not as interesting and seemed a little fake friendly. Wine list is very expensive. Nothing lower than $60. Markup always excessive. They should really offer something lower. So the wines listed are certainly not with it. Food was great. Gorgonzola pizza was excellent for appetizer. New experience. It was awesome. Dinners veal melinase(sp), lobster ravioli, gnocchi and short ribs ravioli were very good. Dessert ice cream. Nothing special. Overall a good evening.

Great vibrant atmosphere. This restaurant is located at a busy entertainment district (especially on a weekend). The server was kind and attentive. Food was mediocre. Will return when we are around the area for some Italian food.

Overall, we were satisfied with this place but it did not meet our expectations. Unfortunately, the place was not as lively as we thought with a lot of empty seats. In some ways, this was good because it gave us a quiet atmosphere to talk but in some instances it was slightly suffocating. The arancini was pleasantly good and paired well with the orange wine we have received. Despite the lack of guests, we felt that the service still lacked and they were not as attentive as they could have been. All in all, it was still a nice place to sit down, chat, have a drink and a snack but a little bit too quiet for our liking.

Our group of 4 came here for a mid-week dinner. The atmosphere was cozy with low lighting. The place was busy for a Wednesday but not loud so that was great. Service was nice overall. There were a lot of items we were unfamiliar with in the apps menu so we asked the server for assistance for ordering a sharing board with cheese and meat. The one he suggested only had meat 👎 I ordered a rose penne pasta (penne alla vodka) with pancetta which was great. I recommend that dish. The braised short rib ravioli didn't look the greatest but had good flavor. The Italian sausage calzone had a bit too much dough. Spaghetti carbonara needed a bit more flavour. The vanilla bean panna cotta was good. I rarely order panna cotta but liked it so take that as you will. Lemon ricotta cheesecake had a good balance of sweetness with the ricotta flavour. Nevertheless, I like the place and would go back. Looking forward to trying their pizza or other pastas.

This place is the ideal and aesthetically-pleasing Italian restaurant that other places aspire to be. It's a large place with plenty of seating and chatter. My friends and I were quickly seated since I arranged a reservation. Our server came to give us menus and water as soon as we sat too. I got a Pazzo Tropicali to drink and a Italian Sausage Calzone to eat, both incredibly delicious. I say it took no more than 25-30 minutes for everything for our table to come out, which is nice since the place seemed half full of people. Our server was very friendly and attentive considering she was tending our section where the big group booths were, never forgetting us and giving us water. Dessert time came, my friends and I different desserts so that we could try each other's and honestly, the desserts were all tasty! It was hard to choose a favourite. I definitely would want to come here again, the only reason it isn't 5 stars is because we were seated right next to the big booths that hold groups. As soon as two different big groups of women sat next to us, my friends and I had to raise our voices to talk to each other. I hope for next time we're seated somewhere else to avoid that.

The food was great. However, service left a lot to be desired. Servers were slow despite it not being busy. The restaurant was dimly lit, and as someone with bad vision, reading the menu was a challenge. Price wise it’s on the higher end, a dinner for 2 ran us more than $100 after taxes and tip.

The interior is cozy and spacious - perfect for a casual date night! Their food is not bad - we went there for the pasta deal and got the gnocchi (too salty) and the rose pasta (our favourite)

Cibo Wine Bar is a fantastic spot in Toronto. The food is absolutely delicious, the environment is modern and contemporary, and the overall vibe is warm and inviting. The staff are attentive, friendly, and make you feel genuinely welcome without being overbearing. A great place for a night out or a relaxed meal with friends—highly recommend!

Came on a Saturday night with two of my friends. We did a walk-in and the host got us seated at one of the table facing the pizza bar. The place was pretty lively for a Saturday night, although it wasn’t a full house yet since we came pretty early. What we ordered: // Grilled Octopus • 8.5/10 // The octopus was nicely cooked with firm texture but still soft and tender. The meat was very easy to cut and chew and has that hint of smokiness from the grill. The seasoning was also nicely done with the flavors blending together quite well. For the veggies, the purple potato and green beans were also well cooked and seasoned. The highlight of the dish for me was the fried capers. The crispy, salty and vinegary capers gave a really refreshing kick to the dish. // Pizza Americana // My friend ordered this pizza and I didn’t get to try it. But he finished the whole pan so I’m guessing it’s probably good. // Seafood Linguine • 7.5/10 // The pasta was al dente, the seafood was fresh, and the sauce was light and not too heavy. The pasta portion was pretty generous too. I ended up having some leftovers pasta because I was so full. Service was pretty great at this place with the food being served not long after our order was placed. Our server was friendly, periodically checking in with us if we need anything. The place is a bit loud though, but the ambience is pretty nice with plenty of seatings available around the restaurant.

Came here for pizza specials on Tuesday and it was quite good. They have a variety of pizzas to try and the atmosphere is nice for date or casual dinner. I came here with my friends to catch up and I can say the service was okay at best. After initial ordering, we got our food and never saw our server again until we had to pay our bill. He was friendly just not attentive to our table as he was to others which was fine. The pizza selection was great and the crust tasted great, they used a fire burning oven so you can really taste the charcoal. However, toppings was a bit sparse on one of our pizza, a whole quarter had barely any sauce or toppings.

Great place! Overall, the atmosphere is really great, good open layout and great ambience. The lighting was dim during dinner time perfect for date night. Both dishes were very good and that tiramisu was very light. Service was good and fast.

We cane here for their “Tuesday Half Price Pizza” and enjoyed the ambiance, food and the service. The restaurant is beautifully designed and spread through multiple sections. They also have 4 dining rooms for private events. You can watch the chef making pizza in front of you, if you’re sitting on the top floor. They provide a great customer experience. We tried “Mozzarella di Bufala”, “di Nicolino” and “Mortadella”. You can add parmesan cheese or pepper to your pizza. The food was fresh and delicious. I would like to come back and try other menu items.

Celebrated a birthday at Cibo. Haven't been to Cibo for a long time since the Eglinton location closed down. It was great to taste that the food was still as amazing. Good service.

This restaurant is quite pretty and the food wasn't bad at all. (Plus they have some special menu of the week). We took the half price special pizzas. It was sooooo delicious 🤤🤤🤤. And the cocktails were also very good. It's perfect for a date. The ambiance was good. It was situated in the middle of downtown. So you could actually walk around to visit a bit.

I came across this restaurant while causally scrolling on Instagram. And what caught my attention (and I’m sure it also caught a lot of other people’s attention too) was the $15 pasta special on Wednesday. Yes that’s right. You heard me correctly. $15. So my friends decided to give this a try, and it did not disappoint. I thought portion size was pretty decent as well. It was pretty chill inside the restaurant, but I expected more of a lively mood for an Italian restaurant. Maybe I should have went at a time where it was a bit more busier. Our server’s name was Patrick and my friends and I loved having him as our server. We order two Fettucini Amatriciana and one Rigatoncini

Our group had the set menu #2. There was a lot of food and we enjoyed sharing the variety of items we received. The restaurant was very spacious and had great ambience. The server was nice and knowledgeable. There was such a large wine selection with options by the glass or bottles and large price point range. Great for the novice or experienced wine drinker. I would recommend for groups and I would visit again with a small group of friends.

The food was very good . The pizza was really good . All the pizza we got was very good . On Tuesdays they have half price for the pizza . The price was good . The drink was okay . Just wish they cut the pizza so it would have been easier to take out the pizza . 9/10

Stopped by here for dinner and was not disappointed. It was a little earlier in the evening, so the restaurant was pretty quiet. Ordered the calamari to start and a pasta dish for my main. It was delicious, creamy, and filled with a good portion of chicken. I wasn't too crazy about the calamari, I would recommend choosing something else. Another thing I noticed is that the seating at the back of the restaurant is a little odd. The seats just sink in when you sit, so one of you is at table level while the other person is sitting really high. Who knows, maybe we just got the bad table. Other than that, the spot was relaxing and had a wide variety of pasta and pizzas to choose from.

Great restaurant, can't wait to pay another visit. The food was really tasty, felt like having dinner in Italy with every bite. Tried to make a reservation before but nobody answered at the phone number listed. We where welcomed even without and had a great time.

Decided to give Cibo a try. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server was great and I have to say the best part of the experience. The food was disappointing overall. Started with the meatballs and Arancini. The meatballs had flavour but served warm not hot. Arancini were nothing special and not memorable. Since it was Tuesday we decided to try 2 pizzas. We ordered the Italian truffle pizza and the Di Nicolino. The truffle one was tasty but the other was super salty. I couldn’t taste anything else but salt. My friend ordered Panna Cotta dessert. It was average. Overall disappointing food experience. With so many Italian food choices in this city I wouldn’t prioritize this establishment.

Decent spot, but go for the pizza! After much contemplation, I finally visited Cibo Wine Bar (downtown location). We started with the polenta sticks — super crispy and perfectly seasoned, definitely a great start. Since it was Tuesday (and all pizzas are 50% off!), we tried the Chicken Pesto pizza, which was honestly delicious — crispy crust, fresh toppings, and great flavour. For mains, we ordered the Gorgonzola Gnocchi, but that was a letdown. The gnocchi was chewy and too heavy, though the sauce itself tasted decent. To end the meal, we had the OG tiramisu — just okay, nothing special. I also had a glass of wine (can’t remember which one), but that was surprisingly really good. Overall, I’d say it’s worth visiting on a Tuesday for their half-priced pizzas. Everything else was average and can definitely be found elsewhere for a better price.

The taste of the food wasn't bad, but the primary issue lies elsewhere. Their service is of the lowest quality. Allow me to illustrate with this example: when I requested a fork, it was brought to me without any respect. It was carelessly placed on an uncovered and dirty table, and the waiter walked away indifferently and coldly.

The atmosphere was quiet & moody the evening I went. The restaurant is nice overall but very dark and the little dim candle was useless. Recommend they add mini-touch table lamp lights. My favourite dish was the braised short rib ravioli. The octopus was overcooked.

Came here as a group and ordered a few items to share. They do auto gratuity included and only accepts one bill for groups. Upon entrance, the ambience felt really nice. Music is not too loud, which is great for socializing. Overall, the food tasted okay. Most tasted too salty to our liking, but the best one for us is the tagliatelle with chicken and funghi. Portions were a tad bit small especially for the appetizers. We also enjoyed the grilled octopus and calamari as they were so tender and flavourful.

We had reservations, so we didn't have to wait long to be seated. They took a while to bring our food, and forgot to bring our drinks so we had to remind them. It was busy, so that's understandable, but they didn't come around to ask anything about the food.. My food had a piece of metal from a scouring pad, which they ended up removing from the bill.

unfortunately would not come back. got a caesar, bruschetta, lobster ravioli and the penne arrabbiata. no flavour on any of these, a caesar that some how didn’t taste right, it just didnt taste good. bruschetta - bread had grill marks but was cold and chewy, tomato had no flavour no salt idk lobster ravioli - filled w lobster but again no flavour had to ask for salt arrabbiata - wasnt sauced well, didnt have much flavour except spice, theres no way those were san marzano tomatoes over all it was an expensive meal that wasnt worth it. it was edible but i wouldnt pay 113 dollars for that ever again. not a repeat restaurant for me

We were a group of friends meeting after a long time meeting on Saturday. The food was great; however, the service was very poor. The server was quite rude. I understand that people can have a bad day, but that does not justify almost throwing items on the table.

$3 Bread is yummy but salty. Tried the mushroom Risotto twice and they were a bit salty. Atmosphere is nice. Staff is tricky, I came twice to cibo, the first time we were looked at strangely from one of them and after 3-4 minutes someone else which wasn’t really welcoming came to seat us. Service was horrible and that attitude was shining like you’re not paying money. Server wasn’t helpful in describing what’s on the menu and another one took over and was not helpful at all and had an attitude till we left the restaurant. We really weren’t comfortable. Yet I thought it wasn’t their day and tipped them. I was here again for another visit, I didn’t like the lobster risotto, it was more tomato saucy than seafood taste. Pizzas is what got me back here. They are good but cut in big pieces. Ask for it to be cut 8 pieces not 4 as it is big. I asked about the Lasagna if it was beef and was informed so, and I recognized that it had pieces of meat cubes, it was awful and I think it wasn’t beef. The server was good until the bill came up, we split it two parts a third and a two thirds We have 20% tip for the two thirds and a 10% for the last third and then was the attitude in the table. I think I’ll never tip if I’m back again for the pizza. Or you guys have to be exceptional. Two visits is good enough to have this conclusion as well as the price been paid is from our own money and that should be respected.

When u see a mouse, you tend to have some reservations about a place. Their menu is so huge- and I do not say this in a positive way. Enjoy whatever slightly modified dish using reheated sysco food you get. Hosts were really nice though. Service was great- it’s just the establishment that was off.

Pretty disappointed with my experience at Cibo King tonight. To start on a positive note, the food and drinks were excellent — we had the focaccia, caprese, lasagna, and bolognese, and everything tasted great. Unfortunately, the service really took away from the evening. Our server began the interaction without introducing himself, simply asking “tap water?” When I requested still, tap was poured first and then replaced. We ordered focaccia right away; it was dropped off and the server attempted to walk away before we could order drinks, and we had to call him back. Another server brought the caprese, and after it arrived we had to ask where our drinks were. When they finally came, one of the wine glasses had food stuck to the inside — something my date didn’t notice until halfway through the glass due to the lighting. I couldn’t find our server for over ten minutes, so I brought the glass to the bar myself (it still had wine in it). The bartender said he would fix it and asked if we wanted another glass. I mentioned that we were already waiting on a replacement from the last time we saw our server. The wine was poured out, but no replacement ever appeared and nothing was removed from the bill for it. Our mains were delivered by yet another server and, again, were very good. When our original server eventually returned with wine, we explained what had happened and he brought a new glass at that point. After finishing our meals, we asked for the cheque. The bottle of still water was removed from the bill due to the wait for drinks, which was appreciated, but overall the lack of attention to detail and consistency in service really ruined the night. To make matters worse, as I got up to use the restroom at the end of the meal, the server commented, “Wow, beautiful, so tall,” which made me feel uncomfortable. There was no host to say goodbye and no manager visible to speak to. I’ve been coming to Cibo for years and have never had an experience like this before. It was disappointing, especially given how strong the food was.

I came on Valentine’s day with my significant other and our reservation was at 7:15. The server was sooo lovely and I had zero issues with how the food tasted. HOWEVER, we waited for 1 hr and ~15mins just for MY main to come out. We got our appetizer very fast but my boyfriend never even got his food, we split my meal!!! Our server had to beg the kitchen to just get my main meal out after waiting for that long. Tables that got there after us got their food before us. My boyfriend ordered a pizza (Diavolo, I think?) and I understand the pizza oven was backed up, but the other tables that got there after us got their pizzas and my boyfriend never got his??? Our server brought us free bread twice at least though so we weren’t too starved… I understand that holidays can be very chaotic but not the greatest experience in terms of waiting for food. We were disappointed too because we travelled by train to come to Toronto for our date night. :/

We visited on Thursday, for my friend’s birthday, and honestly, the whole experience was a mess from start to finish. When called to make a reservation for 8 people, last call for food orders would be at 11:30 PM. But when we arrived, they stopped taking orders at 11 — even though the restaurant stays open until 2 AM. That makes absolutely no sense. Why stay open for another three hours if you’re not even serving food? The service was slow and inattentive — we had to flag someone down every single time we needed anything and for that we paid 20% gratuity. Not once did anyone come by to check on us. The non-alcoholic drinks were awful, and the food was just average. Overall, it was such a frustrating and disappointing experience, especially since it was my friend’s birthday. Definitely not the kind of night we were expecting, and I wouldn’t come back here again.

We visited on Thursday, October 16 — which was actually my birthday — and honestly, the experience was so disappointing. When I called ahead for a reservation for 8 people , I was told the last call for orders would be at 11:30 PM, but when we arrived, they stopped taking orders at 11:00 PM even though the restaurant stays open until 2:00 AM. Seriously, what’s the point of being open for another 3 hours if you’re not even serving food? To make things worse, the person who took my reservation didn’t even know the restaurant’s own closing time. The service was mediocre — not worth anywhere near a 20% gratuity. No one checked on us unless we literally called them over every single time. The non-alcoholic drinks were terrible, and the food was just okay Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience — especially on my birthday. Definitely wouldn’t come here again!

I went to my bf friend’s bday about 2w ago and I’ve never felt this embarrassed or disappointed by a server before. This guy, whose root is Vietnamese but born and raised in Ukraine and Canada I guess? named Le The Anh, spent the whole time talking badly about Vietnam like it was a joke. He said he “hates the old generation,” called young Vietnamese “retards,” and kept acting like he was above everyone. Then he bragged about going back to Vietnam to finish his back tattoo, like if you hate the country that much, why even go back? Make it make sense. His attitude was rude, and completely unnecessary. I was with a group of Persian friends, and as a Vietnamese person, I felt so embarrassed listening to him insult Vietnam in front of everyone. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and honestly ruined the whole experience. It was my first time meeting my bf’s friends so I was just laughing at it and let it slide cause I didnt wanna make myself look bad arguing with another person. But hey if you can’t show basic respect for customers or for another culture maybe serving isn’t the right job.

Food lacked flavour and was a bit on the pricier side. I would put Cibo in the same category as a Terroni or Oliver and Bonacini, too commercialized. If you want real Italian food avoid, and go to Stock TC or Grazie. Service was good, atmosphere was meh. Probably not going to come back here.

Went for a friends birthday The service was 10/10 Drinks were also pretty decent The bruschetta did not taste fresh and the pizza was also not the best Only the fries were ok Came for the first time won't come again for Italian food. Not happy.

A major disappointment! Let’s start with the only positive point about this restaurant: the pizzas : tasty and of good quality. Everything else was a disaster: the service was appalling. There were four of us; three dishes arrived quickly, but the fourth took 30 minutes to come… unfortunately, it was the wrong dish. After such a long wait, we decided to keep it…big mistake, it was horrible. Then they insisted on remaking the correct dish to go just so they could charge us for it! Shameful.

Just drop by today with friends. From appitizer, main course and dessert are not worth the money. Grilled octopus $24 put on tiny amout of salad with 3 small tentacles; shrimp pasta 16$ (Wed promotion) is plain of flavor, pasta is undercooked while 3 pcs of shrimps are not high quality, same flavor like frozen shrimps in supermarket; panna cotta $12 with weird texture and taste is not good. Meanwhile service is very slow even the restaurant is not too busy. One thing surprises me that one receptionist is very unprofessional. I just step in while she’s showing other customers their reserved table. Not sure she sees me or not. Then other customers step in and line beside me. When she comes back, she completely ignores me (even a glance, I guess because I dress pretty casual) and asks other customers (formal dress code) straight for their reservation. That customer is very nice to tell her that I line up first so then she takes me to my table. This is first time and also our last time to eat at this restaurant. Completely disappointed.

S
Saam

The food here is awful. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and the meatballs were extremely dry. The sauce is nothing special either. It’s just a very corporate vibe food quality. If you’re looking to bring a date, celebrate a birthday, or anything remotely special find something truly authentic. It’s a good casual spot for corporate get together however.

P
Pratyusha Tripathi

The food here is fairly average. The polenta sticks were under-seasoned, as was the truffle aioli served alongside them. The bruschetta was disappointing — the bread was soggy, which took away significantly from the overall flavor. The risotto was decent, but noticeably light on parmigiano-reggiano, leaving it feeling incomplete. Having tried my fair share of Italian food in Toronto and beyond, this simply didn’t measure up. What truly left a bitter aftertaste, though, was the service. From the moment we walked in with a stroller and a preschooler, the front staff made us feel unwelcome — as if we didn’t pass their “vibe check.” We were seated separately from every other guest in the restaurant, which felt isolating and uncomfortable. This attitude seemed to extend to the security staff as well, which was especially disappointing given that they themselves were a person of color. Simply put, in terms of their social skills, the front staff seemed below average. To top it off, the tipping screen started at 18%, with 20% preselected — an odd choice considering the experience. If you’re looking for a place with an average vibe, mediocre Italian food (with steep discounts on some items which should have been a red flag to begin with) and service that makes you feel singled out, this might be a one-time stop. Otherwise, it’s not worth the money, especially when there are far better restaurants in every direction nearby.
