Crust Miami Reviews
Lunch at Crust was awesome!!! The customer service, food and ambiance was great! We indulged and enjoyed the meatballs, shrimp cakes, veal Parmesan, and lobster ravioli. The food was so delicious. We also tried the passion fruit and strawberry mojito. There were so many other things we wanted to try so we’ll definitely go back and have another feast! I definitely recommend this restaurant to all! The portion sizes are huge so I definitely had some good leftovers the following day… Enjoy!!!
The place was fantastic. The portion sizes were huge for the chicken Parm. Easily could feed 2-3 people. The drinks were great. I had an espresso martini with the tiramisu and loved it. The truffle fries were crispy and fresh. The price for the quality of the food was well worth it. Definitely a top restaurant in Miami.
Definitely one of our favorite places in Miami! Such a cute place for a date night or family dinner. The proportions are MASSIVE. You will definitely have left overs. Never had a dish here I haven’t loved. And the desserts are incredible. The owners are also so precious.
Our experience at Crust was absolutely amazing. We ordered the Seafood Linguine and the Chicken Parmesan, and both were phenomenal. We highly recommend. Our waiter was very attentive, sweet, and gave great service. A nice gentleman named khris, possibly the manager, stopped by our table to ensure we had a wonderful experience and assisted in a good wine selection. Overall, we will definitely stop by again when in the city of Miami.
We had a party of 22 and glad to have been seated all together in a long table. Enjoyed the wonderful Italian cuisine. Though restaurant was busy on a Friday night, staff was attentive and food came as prepared. Portions was generous and we had a grand time.
What a fantastic, reasonably priced gem near downtown Miami! We took summer associates here and, wow, I was surprised! Food was delicious; servers were kind; and the ambiance is intimate and cute. The food portions though… over the top! For the price, it can’t be beat! The chicken parm can feed a family of 4. I liked the eggplant parm appetizer better, though. The salads were also fresh and shareable. Love this spot and will be back w the kiddos!
Great vibes, but I have to say that the service makes this place great. Their manager (Chris) is the nicest manager in the hospitality industry. He touches every table and makes everyone feel special. We had a bit of an issue with the hostess being super rude and he made it all go away with his smile and demeanor. The food was tasty, albeit the gnocchi could’ve had less cheese on it. Other than that, sit on the patio and enjoy this place!
The service was excellent. The food comes in VERY large portions, so pay the extra fee and share. Outside was a lovely atmosphere but could've used a little lighting. Food was very delicious. We had the grilled octopus, pizza, and kids spaghetti with meatballs. All of the food was fresh and very good.
Exceptional experience all around. The garlic knots are a must, and the other starters like the beef carpaccio were delicious too. The pizza and pasta are perfect! We tried the mushroom pizza and the namesake Crust pizza and both had incredible combinations of flavors and textures. Others at the table had pasta dishes and thoroughly enjoyed them. The service was great as well, we felt very welcomed.
Crust is phenomenal, in short. I visited Miami for the weekend and had to make it count, and I am happy to say that Crust met the goal. I went in the last hour, which I don’t usually like to do but a late flight had other plans. Nonetheless, Chris, at the bar and who I later learned is the manager, was more than happy to welcome and seat me. It was slow since it was a Thursday night, and I was seated immediately in the midst of three pairs of diners. They all seemed content, and a few shared their recommendations for dessert and the chicken parm. I thought to try a pizza to honor the namesake but wavered. Alex, my server, took my drink order and a minestrone I was eager to try out while I decided on the main course. It was flavorful and well-seasoned with all the veggies well cooked, and the pasta a great texture. I still hadn’t received my Baby Blue drink, which was decided after a look at the Watermelon Sugar and the Limoncello di Crema, but once it came out, I understood - it was a frozen drink that had to be blended. At this point, I was already satisfied with my visit: the diners around me were in good spirits, enabled by the great service and tempered ambiance of the restaurant; the service was attentive; and the excitement for the chicken parm and dessert was strong. I confirmed for myself that my fellow diners were indeed correct: the chicken parm had enough for two people or two meals. That the sauce didn’t fully stick to the spaghetti deceived me, as when I bit into it and the chicken parmesan, the taste and quality I would best describe as textbook. Not in the basic or unexceptional way, but in a way that it checked off all the boxes and should set the standard for that dish. The sauce presented a bold but balanced flavor; the chicken breading crisp; and the mozzarella and parmesan equal in donating their flavors. I can’t fault it! I left room for dessert and ordered before the restaurant closed, settling on the Limoncello cake. Alex brought it out as I finished up my meal, and the staff began to close up shop without sparing customer service in doing so. In an appreciated touch of service other places would have overlooked, Melissa, another server, offered to keep the cake in the fridge while I finished with my entree, and I gladly took her up on that offer. She packed up the leftovers for me as I began to enjoy the cake. It delivered on the details promised on the menu, and it was a light yet flavorful ending to the meal. Crust is THE place for Italian food in Miami, there’s no question. I don’t anticipate returning to the city in quite some time, so I will miss out on the cuisine but will confidently recommend it to family and friends in the meantime!
The food and atmosphere was excellent. Great Italian dishes. The kids loved the pizza! Pablo our server made you feel like at home. The owner would.reguarly pass by and talk with you. Overall great and will be coming back!
Waiter was super friendly and greeted us quickly. They ask to top your entree with shaved Parmesan and fined/coarse black pepper. The entrees are huge and there’s a $3 share option but it’s worth it for the big portions. We were offered complimentary wine shots. Seems like a small friendly place in the neighborhood and since it was raining this day, they even offer to walk you to your car with their umbrellas! Lovely vibes!
Wow! I so impressed about this place. Cristian our server was spectacular 👌 ✨️. He recommended us a delicious food 😋 😀. Our first time here and definitely will came back soon...
Where have you been all my life?!?! Amazing Italian food! The risotto was amazing!!! My only wish is that I can come back to Miami often to visit again! Our waitress was super friendly as well!
It’s a very good place to share with family, it has become a go-to when in big groups. Highlighy recommend shrimp parmigiana, garlic rolls, chicken parmigiana and tbh, we’ve been trying most of their plates every time we come, and there’s always a new option that we get into our favorites. You can easily share a plate between three people and you’ll be more than fine. Quality and quantities are beyond words.
Crust in Miami is an exceptional Italian American restaurant that truly stands out. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with outstanding service and a warm, inviting atmosphere. One of the highlights of this restaurant is their emphasis on family-style dining, with generously sized sharing portions that are perfect for groups. Start off by ordering the garlic rolls which are a definite must-try. Freshly baked and oozing with garlicky goodness, they set the stage for an incredible meal. The meatballs are another standout, bursting with flavor and served with marinara sauce with ricotta cheese. Each bite is a delight! Moving on to the pasta dishes, both the carbonara linguine and penne bolognese are absolute winners. The carbonara linguine is creamy and indulgent, with perfectly cooked pasta and crispy bacon. The penne bolognese is hearty and satisfying, with a rich meat sauce that's packed with authentic Italian flavors. For those craving classic Italian-American fare, the chicken parmesan is a standout choice. Tender chicken cutlets are breaded and fried to perfection, topped with marinara sauce and melted cheese. It's a dish that epitomizes comfort food and is sure to leave you wanting more. As for the pizza, the supreme is a true crowd-pleaser. Loaded with a variety of toppings, including savory meats and vibrant vegetables, each slice is a flavor explosion. The crust is just right and crispy, providing the perfect foundation for the delectable toppings. To end the meal, the lava cake is a delightful dessert option. While it is undeniably delicious, it does fall short in terms of size, especially compared to the generous portion sizes of the other dishes. Nevertheless, it still offers a rich, gooey chocolate experience that satisfies the sweet tooth. One thing that sets Crust apart is the exceptional hospitality. The owner goes above and beyond, personally ensuring that guests feel welcome and appreciated. She provided us with a complimentary shot of a sweet wine before we left adding a touch of elegance and a perfect ending to the dining experience. Crust in Miami is a standout Italian American restaurant with an array of delectable dishes. The service is impeccable, and the family-style sharing portions are incredibly generous. From the garlic rolls and meatballs to the carbonara linguine, penne bolognese, chicken parmesan, and supreme pizza, every bite is a culinary delight. While the lava cake dessert could be larger, the overall experience is highly recommended. Don't miss out on the warm hospitality that truly elevates the dining experience.
The meals were great amazing service loved it! It definitely lived up to my expectations. The whole family came and we ordered 3 pizzas a meatball, a pepperoni, and a supreme. My nephew go a kids linguini and we also got dessert everything tasted delicious. The service was great and the waitstaff is very friendly and the atmosphere is really inviting. The only downside I would say Is that the desert is not made in house but it is still delicious. And the parking is not ideal but it's the city they do have valet though if that is an option for you.
Came for Miami spice, and Moises was fantastic. Very attentive and professional. Will definitely be back for him & his kindness. For the appetizer we ordered the caprese and the meatballs, the meatballs tasted homemade. And it came with two which was the perfect portion. As for the entrees, I only got a photo of mine which was the Chicken Parmesan and it was fantastic. We ordered the tiramisu & the panna cotta Nutella which were both fantastic.. Loved it all ! Very happy with everything.
First Time trying this Restaurant! I must say my Family was very happy and impressed. Service was Great, Food Was very DELICIOUS 😋. The servers were very attentive. And Mrs. Nita was so pleasant and greeted everyone that came into the Restaurant with a nice smile and full of energy and joy. We loved it. We will definitely return. Thanks for the great Experience Crust.
Absolutely fantastic not to mention. our all time fave Italian place to eat. Service is extraordinary food is HUGE hahaha and yes we ate it all. The owner Anita will make you feel at home from the start. Great karma restaurant is amazing make sure you have a reservation it gets busy. Seafood past a must get it spicy 🌶A+++++++ coming back this weekend !
What a pleasant surprise for our pre-cruise meal in May 2018. Everything from the owners to the waiter to the food were outstanding! Started with the garlic rolls which were out of this world. I had the chicken Parma and wife the lasagna. SO MUCH DELICIOUS food! Bet they don't sell much dessert as no one could eat another bite! Already have booked reservations for April for our next pre cruise meal. Can't wait!
Everything we ate was excellent. Not one thing disappointed. Heavily recommend the shrimp cakes. We also had a small cheese pizza as an appetizer to see what the sauce was like, and it was delicious and cheesy. Chicken piccata, seafood risotto, and chicken marsala were amazing. Their portion sizes are huge which makes the prices reasonable, because you will definitely be eating your meal a 2nd (or a 3rd) time. Don't ever change, please!! Easiest way to park is to valet it. On a Friday night, it was $6. Parking in that area is very difficult. Plan accordingly, and make a reservation, too!
I'm writing my last review of 2021 having enjoyed their takeout.. It's like having Chef Klime, Anita and all of their wonderful crew in my dining room. It shouldn't be a surprise to my regular readers that CRUST was supposed to be my New Year's dinner. However due to circumstances some of you know, I ended up ordering takeout. I called to cancel my reservation and they were kind enough to let me go ahead and take my order, my usual dishes to go. As usual, I started with their Caprese salad.. The basil, the tomato and fresh slices of creamy mozzarella were fresh as always and well packed with the other cold items (more on that later). The chicken Parm was as usual very well portioned juicy chicken breasts with a nice layer of melted cheese and lots of rich marinara sauce in the package. Of course I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The noodles also with a nice helping of marinara sauce, were just past al dente as I like. The change in plans I mentioned also included celebrating with some good friends. I'm sure they're enjoying the delicious figs and prosciutto of the trademark crust pizza. Bon appétit and here's to celebrating in person with such a yummy dish lol. I also want to thank Chris, their very talented manager, for a) taking my to go order by phone (instead of online as their usual due to my situation and b) his recommendation of the sea salted caramel cheesecake with fresh berries I enjoyed. Since I have tried most of their desserts I asked for a surprise and it will be on my regular dessert rotation. My New Year's Resolution will be to continue to enjoy this great restaurant!
Probably the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend! The wait can be long so maybe make a reservation. If not, try going for late dinner, we’ve never had to wait. You can definitely share plates as the portions are really big!! I would say go for taking leftovers home. You won’t regret it!! Make sure you get your complimentary shot of dessert wine. Prices are more than reasonable after you see the size of the plates!
When we passed car body shop to find restaurant, I thought this place will be another mistake. With very first step into restaurant, we have got very big smile from owner. The Food was phenomenal. The side risotto on my plate should be an example to other restaurants which have tiny tasteless side dishes. Just fyi, this place is heaven for gluten free options inluding pasta & pizza.
Decided to go on a last minute date with my fiancé. We live in the area and always pass by Crust on the way to work. The location is great (only thing is parking was a bit of a struggle during the night time). The restaurant inside feels very homie and classic when you walk in. The attention from our server was awesome. We ordered waters and they were always refilled without asking. Food was amazing, the meatballs (suggested by our waiter) were on point and very flavorful. We ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza (one pizza was enough for us that day but it was so good you could easily order one each) and finished with cannolis which were really good as well. Highly recommend it for a date night, family dinner or if you are trying to get the best Pizza in the Downtown/Brickell area.
I was just telling my cousin about this place over the phone and had to stop by and write a review, if you loveeee Italian food like I do this is the place to go!! I was there last night had the lasagna which was delicious and filled with cheese, the portions are huge I couldn’t eat it all but I just ate the leftover and it tasted just as great as last night, Thank you to the chef! Thank you to Lucy at the bar for making our first experience great she’s very attentive and sweet also you have to try the desert first on the menu I forgot the name but it has Nutella omggggggg it’s to die for !! I came home and gave my daughter some and she loved it, definitely kid friendly place which you get extra stars for. Definitely coming back!
We are definately foodies and my husband always does his due diligence when researching where the best places are to eat on our travels. Crust is the perfect Italian restaurant. The owner personally greets every guest with warmth and true grace. Our server was very attentive and we enjoyed talking to him about his native home of Turkey and some cultural differences he has encountered. We started with the house Souvaigon Blanc, fresh bread and the pan seared mozzarella which was the most outstanding mozzarella ever! My husband had chicken Masala over linguini which he enjoyed but, could have had more masala flavor though he did not complain. I had the shrimp parmesan which could literally serve four hungry adults! The shrimp were expertly prepared, but sadly I could not finish and because we were driving to Key West the next day, I could not take the leftovers. We did relax awhile then shared a slice of Lemoncello cake, which is the best we have ever had. The owner brought complimentary shots of Port, which made for a beautiful ending. The valet parking is fantastic and I can't say enough about the top notch service offered by every person working. The restaurant is small but beautifully decorated. If you get the chance to try Crust I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Wow, what can I say. Golden👍 At the start of just walking in, the ambience of the place makes you just feel comfortable. The genuine cheer of the hostess that sat us just made you feel at home. WARNING ,,,,,, The portions are humongous. Be prepared to take a doggy, kitty, whatever bag you call it home. We will be returning on a regular basis now on. 5 shakas 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙 Update,,,,,,,01,March,024 I was very hesitant to write this as I don't like to put negative reviews out. I've been miilling on this for several weeks. In mid February, we visited and were very disappointed. Apparently, either ownership or management has changed hands. I will start off by saying the ambience and wait staff are still impeccable. However, the the dishes are either tasteless or over sauced. The size of the dishes are still overwhelming. Plenty of food on the plate. When we sat down, we had noticed that the menu had changed a bit. First off there was no more offering of eggplant parmesan as an entré.( Disappointed as this was a favorite.) I noticed it on the menu as an appetizer. I asked the weight stuff. It could be made as an entré, and they said no. So I ordered some kind of "Dolphin Frances" with lemon sauce and garlic. My wife ordered some kind of Prawn/Shrimp plate with a Marinara sauce. Again, a heaping plate of food. The prawns were very overcooked almost like rubber. My dish, the dolphin was perfectly cooked but smothered in an overbearing lemon sauce. The sauce was on everything. I scraped off the sauce on the fish and devoured it. As I said, the fish was perfectly cooked. Could not eat the Pasta, just could not eat the Pasta. It was like Pasta floating in a lemonade. Top it off the sauce also had capers in it making it not only lemony but bitter. Now I like bitters in a Shanty, but not when it's overwhelming in my food. Now I like this place. I really really like this place. We like this place so much, we travel 12+ miles 1 way just to go there in heavy Miami traffic. I'm not going too give up on this place yet. I'm hoping that it was just a bad night. I will give "Crust" another try. I hope they'll consider putting the Eggplant Parmesan back on the menu as an entré🤞
What a great place! Came down from NYC for a few weeks and was craving some chicken parm, this place pops up as having great chicken parm, so I take the family, beautiful place. First thing when you walk in you are greeted with by warm and friendly woman whom I later found out was the owner and her husband / owner / Chef she made us feel great, followed by great service at the table, the waitress and staff were constantly taking care of anything and everything before you could even ask for it! Now we ordered fried calamari Caesar salad Pizza and the fantastic Chicken Parm all great tasting made fresh and perfect and large portions, there is no skimping on anything here. A couple of glasses of wine and we were in Heaven. Sorry we couldn’t get to dessert we were stuffed and had all kinds of food to take home too. After dinner the owner came to our table with some nice port wine which we did have and left happy, full and surprised by how reasonable the check was. Do yourself a favor and go to this restaurant it’s a winner
I came to this place thanks to the good reviews. I was not disappointed, food was 10/10, the host was very nice, and the owner came to say hi to us and all the tables around us. The food was ready really fast, I recommend the chicken parmesan dish, it was amazing, and you better be hungry because it is a big quantity and excellent food quality, fresh and very tasty. Cannoli was our choice for desert, I didn’t love it, next time I will try Tiramisu . Another recommendation is to call and reserve a table, otherwise you will probably have to eat at the bar (high chairs, or outside) we didn’t have a reservation so we sat outside. Do not sit next to the plats, i got many mosquito bites, I know thats difficult to control for the owners, but its an easy fix if you call and reserve a table inside. Parking, not easy to find a parking space near the restaurant but, $15 valet parking is their solution, be prepare. After we paid, the owner came to our table to thanks us for the visit and brought with her 2 shots of wine, it was delicious, great detail to create customer loyalty, and it definitely worked, we will come back with friends and family!!
What a great little spot to eat. Large portions, meant for sharing. Valet parking is great due to it being in a very busy neighborhood. We came here with family and loved their pizza & buratta salad. Highly recommend. Sebastian, our server was excellent & made terrific recommendations.
Wow. Where do I start?? Hostess super nice, but Ana the owner is amazing. Makes you feel welcomed. The serving sizes are with the price!! Meatball great! The garlic breads are heave !! Must try. We had sangria and some Mango mojito thing..very refeshing and yummiest. We had Chicken parm over a huge bed of pasta...ordered chicken fettuccine in cream sauce and a beef w pasta..everything was delicious. We had no room for dessert.
We are in town for vacation and we saw the AMAZING reviews and decided to give this place a chance. OMFG.. Our server Ivana was so helpful and patient and amazing. Kudos to her. We ordered the Eggplant Parmesean and Build Your Own Pizza. The EP was the best that we have tasted ever and the service size was huge. The Pizza was so amazing. The crust, the toppings were cooked PERFECT. EVERY time we come back to Miami we will come here guaranteed and we will recommend this place to everyone we know If you are debating whether or not to try it, then GO and you will not regret it. Helpful Note: Go when you are fully hungry to FULLY appreciate the food :)
This was our second time eating here. They were super busy but we had excellent service! Sebastian was nothing but sweet and attentive! The food was so authentic and trust me I know Italian food. I would recommend passing by on a weekend the place is buzzing with energy yet still feels cozy and dimly lit. Parking is tricky but there’s valet for $15!
Perhaps the best Italain food i have ever had. It is absolutely delicious and was not expecting it to be that good. The customer service was amazing and they make you feel welcomed and always happy to assist you. I will for sure be coming back. I recommend getting the Parmesan Shrimp as your entree. My girlfriend and I had garlic bread, spaghetti and meatballs, Parmesan shrimp, and for our appetizer, we ordered the pan freid mozzarella.
We reserved a spot at the bar to get a casual feel, and that we had. Our bartender was so nice and her smile made us smile! The food was delish, we had the mussels and spinach pizza. The atmosphere was good for dates or groups of friends. We will definitely go back. Oh and the hostess came to check on us to make sure we had enough room since we were at the end of the bar (we were fine). Very attentive:)
Yay for finally finding great Italian food in Miami that comes in HUGE portions at extremely reasonable price points! Even better that they fulfilled a request of mine via a Doordash order!! :D Update: Finally came to the actual restaurant, and this has definitely become one of my top 3 favorite Italian restaurants in Miami! Service was amazing and the Limoncello cake was both perfectly moist and not too sweet.
This place continues to keep the Bar of great Restaurant experiences in Miami so very high. The food is Phenomenal . The service Magnificent . Anita and her staff keep this establishment running on point . Kline is a true Gourmet Chef that continues to put out incredible food . If you want the best in all South Florida dinning experience , you want Crust.
Great experience here. From the moment the valets greeted us with umbrellas to the very warm reception from the proprietor we were made very welcome. The restaurant was also able to get us a seat without a reservation. We had the kale salad which was a solid starter. This restaurant offers large portions which was enough for my date and I. Similarly, the meatball pizza was delectable. The ricotta cheese on the marinara mixed with basil was amazing. The crust was also very crisp. For dessert we had the limoncello which was just the right amount of lemon with white chocolate. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the mood for Pizza.
So glad we decided to eat here! The best Italian food in Miami. The food was amazing, penne bolognese was exceptional! All the dishes came out hot and fresh. Our server, Chris, was awesome and had a wonderfully positive attitude! And for a Miami restaurant, everything was reasonable priced! I had an amazing time and will definitely return on our next vacation! Thank you so much Crust!
Killer Italian spot. Portions are MASSIVE (3 people could easily share the chicken parm - most other entrees good for 2 to share). Everything tastes fresh and delicious + energy inside is fun, friendly, and energetic. The sneaky winner were their garlic rolls - amazing. Think like a cinnamon roll but with garlic butter. Order that with the meatball appetizer for the table, great for dipping in the sauce. Went with a table of 6, everyone loved their food. Can’t wait to go back!
This is one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been too. Not only are the staff amazing, but the owners are a dynamic husband and wife team. I love that dinner is ended with the owner serving a glass of Port. I had planned to grab one of the amazing made from scratch pizzas, but it was Miami Spice and I had partake of the diverse selection of mouth watering goodies. The shrimp cakes are one of the most amazing dishes I have ever tasted. It is perfection that was crunchy and crisp on the outside served with portobello mushrooms and an out of this world tomatoe sauce. The flavors burst on your tongue and make you want get ever drop of sauce on your fork. You know pizza is good when you eat it the next day and it taste good cold. The sauce is finger licking good. The Meat Lover's Pizza was recommended by the bartender. To wrap everything up, my favorite Limoncello which is a perfect amount of lemon flavor to compliment the sponge cake and mascarpone.
Oh my god! I came here after having a bad experience with another place and when i tell you if you’re looking for a good italian place, this is this perfect place! The customer service was off the roof. All the employees were so friendly and kind. The pasta, Meatballs, Calamari, literally everything and even the drinks were TOP TIER (especially the pina colada) 10/10 I would definitely recommend this.
We love Italian food and what a great discovery!!! All reviews are right portions are HUGE (which is great cause I did not have to cook the next day :p) and food is delicious!!!! We ordered the lasagna and the beef and sausage baked penne and both were delicious!!! The tiramisu was just on point not too sweet and super fresh! Great service! Can’t wait to go back and try new dishes! Btw best thing they offer gluten free pizza and gluten free pasta!!!
Ownership and wait staff here are at a gold standard. Our waiter was predictive of our needs and highly responsive. The food is wonderful, it's so very hard to choose from a menu of excellent choices from main entrees to all the way thru to desserts - and the portions are generous (must see sharing note below) The owner brought the most delicious port wine to the table for tasting! Our to go food was thoughtfully prepared which made it easy to heat and re-enjoy the following day. Even their valet staff was wonderful! A night of perfection! If I'd give any points off it'd be for not forewarning us that there's a $3 sharing charge. Had the experience not been truly delightful, I'd have definitely disputed the charge. Consider yourself forewarned.
Awesome place to get some pizza. Great vibes, lower lighting, outdoor seating as well. I would recommend making a reservation. We got in right away without a reservation because another reservation didn't show (so lucky). Staff was very friendly. Pizza was top notch in my book. The waitress gave us a complimentary taste of Port wine at.the end of our meal.
The owner was so sweet and accommodating! And the bartender was so sweet! She end up serving our table outside the patio. She even recommended the GARLIC ROLLS OMG SO GOOD! Every other staff that brought out food and other stuff asked us if we’re okay and if we need anything. The food was DELISH! Had grilled octopus, branzino and cacio e pepe and it was made inside a cheese bowl OMG MUST TRY!
Oh my goodness....I can't even tell you how good! I have Celiac and felt completely safe eating here. My bf was even nice enough to order a gluten free dish so I could try his too. I ordered three cheese risotto which was to die for yummy... But it's very very filling. We shared it as an appetizer before our meal. by the time our meal came we were already full, that's how filling and delicious it was. I then ordered the chicken and shrimp fettuccine only mine was gluten free so it came with penne pasta. It was absolutely delicious. I did order a side of extra sauce because I don't like dry pasta, but it was totally unnecessary. My boyfriend ordered seafood risotto so I could try it. I am still learning to love seafood but that was a little too fishy tasting for my liking. He on the other hand loved it. We also enjoyed a bottle of wine, a piece lol. I drank Moscato and he drank Merlot. It is a little pricey, no one can argue that, but the amount of food you get is astounding. We literally walked out with pounds and I mean that POUNDS of leftovers for the next few meals. SO GOOD! We should have shared one entree but I just had so many gluten-free options I couldn't resist. The owner/hostess came out and offered us complimentary port wine after our meal. That was absolutely lovely, and also delicious. We eat out quite frequently. either every day to 3 to 5 nights a week depending on our location as travelers. (Sometimes we have a kitchenette in our room, which we try to cook more) This experience really stands out as exceptional. after having delightful food wonderful wine and even more delightful conversation I couldn't be happier. If I'm in the area I will definitely come by and I suggest you give it a shot. ❤️👌💯
If i could give 10 stars i would from the moment i walked in with my family of 6 i felt like they knew me, the staff and the owner who cooks and his wife who handles the seating staff and all going on inside and outside like a pro with a giant smile and were wonderful all night Chris our server was great and attentive from seating to take a picture of us at the end. Now food OMG not only is it great you have more then enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Our food was just as described came hot and looked as good as it tasted. From pasta fish to the beet salad it was all wonderful. Lobster ravioli n shrimp franchise were great. From the final bite we could all eat to a free port wine that was on the house everything was top notch. This is the place to call one of the best anywhere not just south Florida. Come hungry n you too will leave happy and full for 2 days.
Imagine this: you waltz into a restaurant that screams fancy vibes, serves up mind-blowingly authentic dishes, and yet, unbelievably, the bill is on par with everyone's favorite bottomless breadstick mecca—Olive Garden! Say hello to Crust, where a reservation is as easy as snapping your fingers, and valet parking is a mere $15. As you walk through the doors, you're greeted by the owner, bursting with energy and oozing charisma, instantly setting the mood for a delightful dining experience. But hold onto your seats, because the portion sizes at Crust are colossal! You'll be taking home enough deliciousness to make your taste buds rejoice for another day. Now, let's talk about the stars of the show: the irresistible Caesar Salad, the heavenly Garlic Rolls, the truffle-infused Pizza that'll transport you to flavor paradise, the classic Margherita Pizza, and the creamy Fettuccine Alfredo. Trust me, this place will have your taste buds doing the happy dance without burning a hole in your pocket. Crust is where it's at!
I made a reservation on opentable. We were promptly seated by a friendly and welcoming hostess. We had great service throughout the meal. The portions are very large! The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions provided. The funghi pizza was served with mushrooms, mozzerella, goat cheese, and truffle! It was fresh and delicious. The Tuscan Chicken is huge! It's served with two pieces of chicken and A LOT of veggies. The veggies are super fresh. My fried is eating low carb so he opted for no marinara sauce, and the chef obliged. The food being served around us looked amazing. I took a slice of lasagna home. It was four servings and super good. The chocolate cake was fresh and not a huge portion so you could eat it all by yourself:) We were offered a complimentary port tasting at the end of our meal. There is valet available or metered street parking. There is outdoor dining available. When we left at 7 PM on a Sunday the restaurant was full. I highly recommend making a reservation.
Best Italian food I’ve ever had. Went one night for dinner and another day for lunch lol. Their pizza omg to die for. Everything is so fresh can deal its home made ! Owners are nice the wife greeted us at the door. The wife told my bf hbd. And after dinner they bring you a shot of a win. Just a beautiful place inside and out. Will always go when I visit Miami . Also plates are huge so share share and definitely get the garlic knots !!!
One of my Miami favorite, the food is great I always order the same two dishes, mushrooms risotto or mushrooms pizza and it never lets me down. I always try the dishes of others at our table and also good… the service is always excellent.. highly recommend. My only complaint is that the tables are soo close together and parking situation.
I have been to Italy numerous times and I was pleasantly shocked that this restaurant far exceeded the Italian restaurants in Italy and elsewhere. Loudjline served us and she was very attentive and friendly - great service! The owners are top notch - Anita, one of the owners, welcomed us right away and was so kind. True Macedonian hospitality, you just meet and you feel like you are at home. Anita's husband is the head chef who trained in Italy, his culinary skills are unbelievable. Everything we ordered was the best we have ever had and I have dined at many high class resteraunts all over the world. It's a 5+ star restaurant, with 5+ food and service but without the snobby attitudes and small portions. Best restaurant I have ever been too. I highly recommend the shrimp cakes!! They were to die for. We also had pizza, salmon with risotto, and calamari- all were delicious and large portions. You can tell all of their food is made with the highest quality ingredients and with love. I will come here again, and again! Thank you to the entire team for such a great dining experience.
Wonderful place. There is outside and inside seating, giving you very different options. The staff is extremely friendly. Inside, the ambiance is great. Calm and welcoming. And then, the food. Delicious. Everything. You're warned about the size, so sharing a main course and an appetizer among two is a good idea. At the end, they gave us a complementary shot of Porto. Great restaurant. We will go back
I ordered their Chicken Parmesan and a bowl of soup. I did this via delivery. It arrived hot, fresh, and the taste: WOW. It makes me want to get off of my lazy rear and drive to the restaurant. If it’s that good after a 20-min delivery I can’t imagine how good it is in person. Great job! Six Stars!
This is my second visit to Crust. Needless to say, this restaurant is very nice and staff is attentive. We came to dinner with some friends and ordered a few appetizers, drinks and a main course followed by desert. The limoncello is amazing!! You have got to order this desert if you come here. I promise you won’t regret it! The dinner portions are pretty big and I ended up taking mine home. I do think that is a bit noisy so it can be hard to carry a conversation with a big party (if the weather allows, I’d recommend sitting outside) it’s pretty intimate and more relaxed; I think it’s all preference at the end of the day. Overall, I enjoy coming here. I’d say that if you can either valet the car for $15 or take an Uber/Lyft instead of street parking as it’s almost impossible to find parking near the restaurant. Again, great experience the owned is incredible attentive and sweet. I’m happy to back any time!
Everything we ordered was amazing. Celebrated my nieces birthday and she loved every moment. Portions are huge, you will not be able to even eat half! lol I ordered Asiago Chicken, Chicken Parm, Tiramisu and the Zeppolis. My mom and grandma had the Tuscan Mahi and Tuscan Salmon with veggies. Their plates were a serving tray size. Delicious. Will definitely go back!!!
They started as a take-out and now they are a big restaurant. I figured out what it’s name was for because of the unique pizza crust. It was delicious. Service was very good, waitress always serving water and paying attention to our needs. The downside is that they serve a lot of food, it might be good for some but I prefer smaller plates with all my respect to them. That’s a place that everyone must go, the new girl from Macedonia did a good job!! Ask for her!
This place is fantastic! First off it was my first time here and didn't know I needed to make a reservation ahead of time on the weekends. Both the hostess and the manager were so polite and considerate to us and offered to accommodate us on the bar area if we wanted to. We were in our honeymoon and really wanted to give the place a try so we agreed to wait till there was space in the bar area. After maybe 15-ish minutes the manager came out to tell us they had setup a table for two for us. We were most grateful to the and ecstatic. Anyway on to the actual review. Right off the bat the servers and staff were polite, courteous and proactive. Especially our dear waitress who was a joy to have served us. She was knowledgeable about the restaurant and gave as much to consider with her suggestions. She kept our glasses filled and made sure we had everything we needed, all while the place was packed to capacity mind you. And now for the food, man o man does "generous portions" fail to even begin to describe how much food is pit into one plate. My wife's leftovers are enough to feed 3 people, I didn't have any because I'm a big man and the food was that good. She ordered the chicken parmigiana and I got the chicken picata. Man were they delicious, I especially loved my dish. Everything was made from scratch, and I was even told my dish's sauce was made to order, and it spoke for itself. The appetizer and dessert were both fresh and delicious as well. All in all it was the best experience I had in a restaurant in years. If we lived in Miami we'd most likely become regulars here. This place deserves the 5 stars through and through, and I hope to come back someday. With a reservation 😂😉👌🏼
Great place, Anita makes you feel at home. The bartender Andres was super attentive and friendly. We ordered the set menu as we thought portions would be smaller, but it was the same huge size, so either go super hungry or just share 😅 the quality of food was excellent. Overall, it was a great experience and would visit again if we came to Miami again. Thank you 💗
The amount of food they serve is incredibly good so if you are extremely hungry this is your place. Really tasty food, excellent service, indoor seating is a charming experience and outdoor dining is a relaxing atmosphere. Family friendly or for a date with your loved one. Valet parking available or if you’re lucky you’ll find public parking in the street. Overall we had a good time.
Found this cute little place across from one of my fav places. Kiki on the river, and decided to check out the food! Everything was amazing, except for the lobster ravioli. We had the beef meatball and shrimp cake for appetizers, which were excellent. For the main course, we had the lobster ravioli and the mushroom risotto; the lobster ravioli was very fishy (assuming it was due to inferior quality of the meat). I love lobster but never had it taste so fishy. The mushroom risotto was amazing in flavor! For dessert, the flourless chocolate cake and tiramisu were a perfect pair: the cake was a bold decadent flavor and the tiramisu was light and airy (not overly sweet). I will be returning!
The place is very cute and cozy. The portion sizes are huge and it doesn’t take away from the flavor (personally I recommend the lasagna). The pizza and pastas were delicious. The only thing that might be a negative is that they don’t allow you to make your own pizza or change toppings. I would just check the menu first to make sure there’s something you like.
Family style, large portions to share delicious flavorful food. We were there just after they opened with a reservation, they were full in minutes. Appreciate they let you know to order in a reasonable time and not hold the table when you're finished eating without making you feel rushed at all..... there are lots of reservations!
Buena comida, buen vino, y las porciones son muy generosas
Best restaurant in Miami? Oh c'mon. Descent pizza. Gluten free pasta is only one choice - Penne. Pizza is thin crust and small portion. Pasta dishes are huge in size and are plated like slop. Think prison food. See my photo here. Yes you read that right. Service was attentive but amateurish. And the waitress kept interrupting the conversation. Fairly priced for Miami River district.
Since the change in ownership, we have noticed the change in portion sizes (Smaller) and the way they cooked certain items. The fried cheese seemed as if it is now dropped in the fryer as opposed to pan seared as it now resembled a crunchy, triangular-shaped chicken nugget, and now comes in more smaller pieces as opposed to several giant, crisp yet floppier, translucent pieces over a bed of arugula. The veal parm there used to be my favorite dish in Miami, and the piece of veal even needed its own plate! Now the piece of veal shares the same plate as the side of ziti alfredo it comes with as the portion shrunk, and the breading on the veal had changed. It had tasted as if I were eating more breading than veal, and tasted like a cheap breading you would get at your local pizza shop. There was one gentleman, possibly the new owner/manager, that was walking around and checking on the restaurant, but he was wearing a sidewards hat and baggy jeans (didn’t really go with the classier vibe of the place). Other than that, the staff is still great and the atmosphere is pleasant
Not Italian, but Italian inspired. If you care about size of portion more than flavor it's a place for you. Pizza is decent 7.5 out of 10, but other food is mediocre. We got unlucky with service, waiter was avoiding our table. Didn't listen to order, forgot wine, brought still water instead of sparkling. The shot or port wine in the end is a nice touch, but overall this place does not worth the hype. Update: we literally had to call manager to get our server. Otherwise it was impossible to place order.
I'm appalled. Horrible and a waste of time. 1) There's absolutely no parking. Prepare to fight Miami traffic to pull up onto the sidewalk next to the drawbridge to grab your food. 2) I ordered the lasagna. I've been trying to not eat beef, so when I looked at the menu and it mentioned every ingredient but the beef, I ordered it. On one hand, it's my fault for not expecting lasagna to come with beef, although meatless lasagna is popular, and it mentioned everything but the beef. Regardless, I don't fault them for that. However what I do fault them for, is there absolutely DISGUSTING lasagna. It was essentially just cups and cups of extremely oily beef, with no pasta and a spoonful of ricotta in the corner. Wow. Worst lasagna I've ever seen. I mean, really just sickening, and I couldn't even eat more than 3 bites. 3) It's expensive, but the portion sizes are pretty large. That doesn't mean much when the food is inedible, though. I tried my sister's asiago chicken pasta, and it was better than the lasagna, but bland and flavorless. Also the meat lovers pizza was undercooked. The floors were sticky and the place was an absolute mess, but since there was such positive reviews, I originally planned to overlook that if that food was good. Service was decent at least, thankfully. Overall, please don't be fooled by these reviews, I'm sure that they had to be paid off or they had too many drinks to notice the taste.
Absolutely Dry Spaghetti with no tomato sauce. It's really maddening when you send someone dry pasta and overcooked mush. Chicken parmigiana was not great at all, and the size is significantly smaller, and the scarcity of sauce is missed in this dish, too. The garlic knots are just dried cooked dough with sprinkle cheese. No garlic, olive oil, parsley. I'm so disappointed. The Margherita pizza was super SALTY. Salt is not a main ingredient in a dish. I don't understand how you can mess up on something so simple. Definitely should be doing better if you want customers to come back and spend money.
