Finnegan's Way Miami Reviews
Supernice food considering the price (everything is super expensive on Ocean drive). Great service and a relaxed atmosphere. Good breakfast and the burger is nice too. Plus for glutenfree buns
Exceptional. The customer service is exceptional. People who come to the beach know customer service can be a drag; here its as great as the service i get from traditional south Food is fresh and comes out within 20 mins of ordering. Great deals on drinks. Prime spot for celebrity sightings as well! Great music and always a great atmosphere. Good food and no surges in prices. I cant express how this is a place that has become a “spot” for so many. It’s my main go to anytime I’m on the beach
Maggie on the bar is amazing. We come by every week to watch the game and to have a great time with Maggie. Thank you, Maggie, you are making this place so special for everyone.
Great place to have fun, watch a game and eat. The hoster Loren is very polite and takes care of is with love and give her best during our staying. Thank you Loren! Happy New year!
Outdoor seating, plus indoor tables and bar area. Ruben and cheesesteak were good, plus drinks came out to about $62 (they include tip in your bill, make sure you check)
Very cool sports bar. On the expensive side, but the drinks were good and the bartender was fantastic. My picture is terrible because it was pouring out and there east plenty of cover to still be dry.
I have really nothing to complain about.. even if I want to. Reliable service, tasty food and good range of beers on tap and more in bottles. Their menu is very well balanced and must please everyone. Starting at 10am with full-Irish breakfast through many beer-bites till lobsters and steaks. 16oz NewYorker was splendid! Smart spot to enjoy lazy beach day.. drinking beer and watching TV live sports :-)
Went with a group of 8 so we all got a variety of food, from the moment we got there, they were very welcoming and helped us get the football game on that we wanted to see on two of the tv’s nearest to our table. They also made sure we had a fan facing us since it was so hot in Miami in September. I got the lobster ravioli, it was okay (7/10), my boyfriend got the shrimp linguini, it was a bit bland (7/10), a friend got the shrimp Mac and cheese (unknown rating but she kept saying it was so good), two friends got the lobster and steak, they enjoyed the lobster but one thought the steak lacked flavor (we’re in front of an ocean so I figured that duh they’re seafood would be best so I don’t fault them), another got the nachos and they crushed them, one for the mahi mahi sandwich and finished it as well and lastly one got the fish and chips and he also finished it all. I’d say overall between the service, food and location- it was definitely a 7.5/10. We would definitely return if given the opportunity because the service and location alone are a great place to be for a decent grub and good drinks.
Melani was supernice with me , she help me with phone charger , she make great drinks , and do everything with smile . Food was delicious, place is fun , and service is great
Great eatery on Ocean Drive. Outdoor seating to people watch. Nice fresh menu with a good Irish flavor. We had the Combo Appetizer to start with drinks. Then our party of four ordered the Reuben, Shepherd Pie, Shrimp Macaroni. $140 which included the tip was well worth it.
Great place! Very close to the beach. The waiters are very attentive. They have the best nachos I’ve ever eaten! You must visit this place.
Great Irish pub bar on S. Beach. Great place to watch sports. Staff is awesome and helpful.
By far the best spot to go along the beach in South beach. If you’re the type that walks by the majority of the places in SoBe and think to yourself, I would not feel comfortable in that place, Finnegan’s is the place for you. The people there are normal and you don’t have to worry about a gang fight starting inside the place when you’re hanging out. The prices are the best on the beach and so is the service. I visit South beach twice a year and I always come back to Finnegan’s. Trust me, when I say this place is where you want to be as your go to pub. Leave the other places alone and just walk by.
Great food, prices, and atmosphere. Ask for Sarah for the best service!
A little windy than normal. It is afterall Wednesday afternoon with the end tail of Hurrican Ian passing through. But Miami South Beach has everything under control. Every Hotel, Bar and Restaurant is bolted down and secure for the storm passing through. A very beautiful place to visit. But am aware that we all must be cautious. Photos of Ocean Drive, South Beach, Miami. Sad to see Tampa, Fort Myers as well as Englewood Beach, Madeira Beach, Sorento, Punta Gorda, Tarpon Springs, St Petersburg...All be hit by Hurricane Ian. Places we have recently explored and remember with LOVE.
We met Khrystyna and her mama at our hotel’s rooftop pool and struck up a super lovely conversation that ended with Khrystyna inviting us to her restaurant bar. We had such a fabulous time! The atmosphere, the food, the mimosas, the music and Khrystyna, make it an absolute perfect day!
We selected Finnegan’s Way because it was close to our hotel. That said, the food was simple but good. The service was excellent and prices were good for South Beach. I would definitely return as there are other interesting dishes on the menu I’d like to try.
We had a great night watching the Lions v. 49ers game last week (well, up until the Lions lost). The staff was swamped and the place was extremely busy between this game and the one before it. Even though they were overwhelmed, the staff was gracious and hospitable. They did everything they could to be accommodating to everyone, and still had smiles on their faces, a bigger feat than I could have accomplished under the same circumstances because the people were rowdy! We were there for the whole game, kept ordering food and drinks and our server was so sweet and kind. The venue location is amazing and there were TV's everywhere so there wasn't a bad seat for sports in the whole place. If we ever find ourselves in Miami when there is a game we really want to watch, we would definitely seek this place out again. (The picture here looks a bit calmer because it was between games)
We had some nice mojitos in this Ocean drive bar. We did not eat there but it had plenty of dining options. We did order some snacks from the bar menu though. The place is in a perfect spot, just a little bit off the most crowded parts of Ocean drive yet definitely inside the action zone. It has tables and chairs located so that you had a good view of the passer bys. Despite of being quite full during our first visit we got our drinks fast from the bar so next day we dropped by again.
Awesome food and excellent service! If you're in the area I recommend to visit!
Great location and open outside area right on South Beach!! Great Happy hour with 1/2 priced drinks!!!
The only "bar" on the street! There is lots of fun to be had around the area, but when you get tired of the tourist-oriented blabber and want a bar with American food, domestic beer in bottles, a jukebox, and a pool table, this is your place. Ease your mind after loud club music and chill with an American beer and jukebox at the appropriate sound level. Ha ha.
A great place to stop on the beach if you want to catch a game and a good pint of Guinness. Service was great and the drinks too. Split the appetizer combo between 3 people and it was enough to serve as a mini lunch. Very delicious.
Food was good! I got the chicken sandwich was delicious! Fast service! Fun atmosphere
I don’t know where to begin! The staff was absolutely amazing! From the time I walked up I was greeted by the host GiGi, he was respectful and beyond helpful. There was a group of 5+ in front of us, he seated them quickly and proceeded to check on us as we waited and assured us the wait wasn’t going to be long. It was a full house so we were patient with waiting. As soon as the table became available GiGi sat us quickly! Then, our server Henry was thee BEST he carried great energy as well and again was very attentive to us. They had a menu outside so, we already knew what we’d like. I had my heart set on a turkey wrap all day, after being disappointed with other places menus I was lucky enough to find it here & BOY WAS IT AMAZING! It came out quickly and was delicious. My fiancé ordered lobster ravioli which he loved as well. The drinks were strong and tasty. The crowd was nice and I just overall loved my experience. The food didn’t make me feel sluggish, I left energetic and happy. Can’t wait to come back. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! Don’t miss out! Thank you guys so much! <3
We came here last year, and again on our trip this year. Food is typical bar food, but of all the restaurants we’ve dined in, this place served the biggest oysters of them all! Happy hour on weekdays from 4-7pm with $1.50 oysters and half-priced drinks. Servers were attentive. Great place to hang out as they always have sports on. Will come back again the next time we’re in Miami. :)
Finnegan’s Way in South Beach is where breakfast goes to party. This place isn’t just serving food—it’s serving vibes. Let’s start with the French toast: thick, golden slabs of perfection that practically demand a slow-motion syrup pour. Sweet, crispy-edged, and just the right amount of decadent—it’s like dessert decided to show up early. Then there’s the giant breakfast sandwich… and when we say giant, we mean bring-a-friend level big. Eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese—layered so high it’s got its own zip code. Pro tip: don’t attempt solo unless you skipped dinner the night before. And that curbside atmosphere? Prime people-watching real estate. Breezy, shaded, and steps from the beach, it’s the kind of spot where you can fuel up and still feel like you’re on vacation—even if you’re a local. Come hungry, leave happy, and maybe slightly sun-kissed. Finnegan’s is the breakfast MVP of Ocean Drive.
It’s a very nice place, I’m always happy there and often come there because I’m local. And I love there a food and drinks and a staff are very polite.🌟
Did not eat here but had 2 really nice evenings enjoying drinks and watching games at the bar. Service was excellent. Staff was friendly and fun . A great place to chill along Ocean Drive.
What an amazing atmosphere! The staff were amazing and very attentive. Henry and Zora were spot on with all our needs. Great place to grab some breakfast or grab a cold brew. The view was nice and scenery nice. If you find your self in this location this is a spot you might want to stop off and visit. Thank you Finnegan's 👍
For a UK person in Miami Beach this is the place for you. Honestly my saving grace when feeling home sick or just craving a good British fry up. I basically dined here everyday for breakfast. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming, also very attentive to your needs, always ready to top up your water for you, didn't even have to ask sometimes. The food is delicious, I recommend the Irish fry up, shrimp mac and cheese, pancakes, garlic bread, potatoes tots, Omelette, and Lobster. Also the pink lemonade was the best I had in Miami Beach, I'd say everything I tried was tasty and would have tried alot more, I enjoyed there food so much, will definitely dine her again when I'm back in town and would recommend to all Everything is more than reasonably priced, for the quality and quantity of food you get. The restaurant is always clean and tidy, even the toilets was always clean.
We were surprised to find this Irish sports bar here on South Miami Beach. We had the coconut shrimp and they were served hot and crispy. Our Margaritas were fresh and tasty. The wait staff were very helpful and attentive despite the fact they were very busy with other large groups. We appreciate we could ride our bikes and park right on the street and have a nice lunch.
Hadn’t been here in 10 years. I ordered the pastrami sandwich with homemade potato chips and my wife ordered a chicken Caesar wrap with onion rings. Our bartender/server was super nice and knowledgeable about the specials and recommended us some items. Food was PERFECT! My pastrami sandwich was so good I didn’t want it to end. If you come hungry, I guarantee you WONT be hungry afterwards! Definitely recommend
Spent our last day here and the service from Kyra was exceptional.very friendly always smiling . A credit to the bar .
This is a great spot to watch a game. The service is great and the staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable and the food is good for a bar.
Visited in September on my own, love this pub all the staff are very friendly, yes tips are a thing but I was happy to leave tips as it was better than the service you get in the UK
MARIA is amazing and the manager Omar is stellar! I cannot recommend this place enough.
Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night and it was not very busy. Started with the Oyster Rockefeller. The oysters were on the large side. The flavors blended well together. Fish and chips and corned beef with cabbage for the entrees. These are the best fish and chips we’ve had. The batter on the fish was perfect - thin and crispy! The corned beef was very tender and the au jus was delicious which we also used for the fried fish.
Gigi helped me so much, he is so welcoming. Guiness is good all the food is nice. Loads of football screens excellent place.
The skirt steak is worth the $40-50 bucks. Please don't be that person that orders a steak well done. Their linguine is good but sauce needs more flavor. I got the salad, fries ans another side. Their pastrami is also delicious.
A lil' taste of Great Britain in Tropical Paradise providing sports viewing and even a pool table which isn't easy to find in Miami these days. Beautiful friends and sojourners everywhere you look and only feet from having your toes in the sand. #comeasyouare #irishcharmandintellect #happyhouroysters #yesplease
I have now been here three times on two different vacations. It’s a great sports bar if you are trying to catch your game/team. The bartenders are amazing and attentive. I enjoy the spaghetti when I go; it does well enough when I have a craving for simple spaghetti. The garlic toast on the side is always a plus.
Don’t let the 🌧️ rain stop you!!! This Irish Pub by the ocean is the spot for a sport-vibe individual. We had drinks while watching soccer ⚽️ games. I didn’t score food because we only had drinks 🍹 🍺. Love the relax “come as you are “ atmosphere!!! Thank you to our educated waitress “Keara” for taking the time to answer my questions regarding some Irish history!
Estupendo. Aunque no hemos comido, por 4 pintas pagamos 22 dólares. Con un ambiente típico de Irlandes. La terraza es genial.
Salmón Florentino y Raviolis de Langosta!! Excelente!!! Riquísimos! Frente a la Playa, excelente ubicación y atención de Carla la server!!
I was craving the Miami Vice drink & Finnegan’s Way had 2 for 1. Nice place to hang out and socialize. The drink was ok but we had fun!
This is a nice spot for some good bar food, my brother and I got to enjoy some basics during our first night of vacation (Wednesday February 5, 2025) and it was great! This was also one of the few places that has Heineken 0 for those who want to drink non alcoholic beer. We sat at the bar and the service was just okay, also since it’s Florida, the gratuity is usually automatically added! Overall it’s just a nice spot for those of us who might want something low key.
We were looking a place to have some lunch and we ended up finding this place, the service was a little slow, the server was nice and it wasn’t that busy so at at least the drinks came fast. The oysters Rockefeller are good, they are 4 but you have to eat them hot and maybe some hot sauce, I liked spicy! The chicken tenders and Fries were good, not much to say but for a kid they are good. The mussels are awesome they sauce and good and the portion is good too, I ate everything and the garlic bread with the sauce what can I say. The fish was good, it was fried so it was good just not as flavorful that we though but good enough. The pasta with marinara sauce and Alfredo sauce are good, I don’t have the picture but it is same, we had it too. Good portion and good flavor, It is a little pricey so if you are expecting to spend less than a 50 bucks it is going to be hard, the already put you 18% of the tips because it is count as a resort and then you have you resort fee so for all that and one beer we spend almost 190 dollar with tip. There are some points that they can get better as a service, when they are not busy but these are hard times. Thanks I’ll come back I wanna see how it is at night!
We went at 9am to watch a football game, it’s feels nice, decent breakfasts, good coffee, the service was good. I was the only one that doesn’t drink in my table but everybody else looks happy with their drinks, plus they treat us with rounds of tequila jelly.
Lively Irish themed sports bar. The food was decent, although we felt it was a touch expensive for the quality. I suppose on Ocean Drive you can expect to pay a bit more than elsewhere. The beer was cold and the staff was relatively attentive. Beware, the point of sale system automatically adds a lofty gratuity, which is frustrating considering that Americans in general are familiar with when, how, and how much to tip.
Good for a beer an amazing view and friendly service. Food is on the poor side, tasteless
The food was a bit overpriced and there were extra charges for service, but I expected that. The service itself was excellent.
This is an Irish style pub but other than the name and decor there's not much Irish here. They sell some Irish whiskey and Guinness but otherwise it's not the most pub like. The staff were ok, we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman and our bartender was quite bubbly and friendly. The manager or owner who was there however was quite gruff and short. Having frequently been in real Irish pubs this one didn't impress me so much. It was good for sure but not great. I guess I let my hopes get up for some reason. It's work a shot but I'm not saying to pass up another opportunity by trying this place.
Finnegan’s is a cool and casual Irish restaurant and bar with outdoor seating on Ocean Drive Miami. They’ve an extensive menu that offers something for everyone. Whatever we ordered was good and the portion size was generous. The pricing is reasonable and affordable. Expect warm and friendly Irish hospitality.
I had a Guinness from tap. The drink is good but I ordered 20oz but I think I got a 16oz. The price is somewhat overpriced but considering it’s on Ocean Drive, I understand. The atmosphere is good for an Irish themed pub.
We stepped in to get out of approaching torrential rain and ended up settling in for a while. This spot has a good vibe and a lot of character. Our server was attentive and witty, keeping us chuckling and our drinks full. Not thrilled with the condition of the bathroom, but otherwise a great spot to watch football.
Crowded lunch at the restaurant. Food was good, once they delivered my burger properly. It was basically less than rare, even though I ordered it medium, well. Plus they brought me the burger with fries even though I asked for onion rings. Ultimately they brought me what I ordered, but my dining partners had all but finished their meals. No real apology or anything done to 'make it right'
Stopped in for a beer and to watch some basketball at the outdoor bar. The bartender seemed to treat all customers like an inconvenience. I still sometimes wonder about her and if she's ever experienced joy. Also I would recommend NOT ordering the draft beer here. I had 2 different beers that were funky and undrinkable, then had to move on. Otherwise cool sportsbar setup and good location.
I initially wanted a salmon salad and mojito. The salmon was so small and unsatisfying for $20. The drink was not strong. I ordered something that was a bucket. Ordered another shot and appetizer to satisfy my palette. I didn't know there would be a service tax, tax, gratuity and some other charge. Be prepared for a high bill. I could've gone elsewhere. But the server was ok.
We ordered burger , not so good. But nice atmosphere
Very cozy place at night. During the day you will notice that the Bar area is filthy, plywood cabinetry unfit the establishment. Dust and rust is everywhere. Splinters on your buns from disintegrating chairs will make memories. I just hoped that the kitchen was in better condition because the food was good.
Service was not great. Food is basic. Asked if Calamari was made fresh...it wasn't. Would not choose this place over so many amazing options in Miami Beach.
Interesting vibe. Right off the main Street in South Beach and you have a fun Irish bar. Food was okay for a bar, mixed drinks were good. It was early afternoon on a Saturday and we had our 11 year old daughter with us, so if you aren't from Miami be warned there's a lot of cigar smoking. That said it's Miami and that's something we should expect but the kid didn't like it so maybe not the place to bring the kids?
Don't go here if you're hungry lol terrible service. I'm sure the liquor is good! Basically just a sports bar. Only good dish is the shrimp Mac n cheese. Don't bother with the lobster ravioli. Lots of other good food on this street!
Finnegan’s Way sure isn’t the right way. My wife and I wanted to start our time in Miami with Finnegan’s but was seated and not one server came to us… at all. 20 minutes we sat there waiting. They weren’t crowded and I was sad to see most of the servers talking in a corner and ignoring not just us but other tables as well. The atmosphere was designed with lots of blues and green hues that separates them from the rest of restaurants. Music wasn’t horrible either. The vibe was chill and I was really excited to try the food. If my wife and I attempt to go again I’ll try and update the review because it’s not fair to give them a one star only based on service.
So it was our second time here within 3 years. Last time it was very good and cozy there. Unfortunately on our last visit it wasn’t that good as we had it in memory. The food was not very good and also the drinks were very watered. The place also smelled bad ( a strange smell) and the service was not so lovely. I thin the quality decreased very hard in the last years. I hope it will get up soon
If you're on vacation don't waste your time. You're in a good mood & the woman waiting on us was miserable!! Food was average. There was no one there it was early so no reason for not even offering us another soda to go with our food. Then we're forced with gratuity she did not deserve!! Too many other wonderful restaurants than to waste time with this.👎
Service was really below par. I literally felt like I was begging for someone to bring me a beer. When I finally ordered, it took forever for the waitress to come back—just to tell me they didn’t have the one I wanted. I couldn’t even hear her clearly, and when I asked her to repeat it, she snapped back at me like I had done something wrong. Honestly, it was uncomfortable. I just said, “Okay, bring me any other one you have,” and that took ages too. The service was awful. The food was also below average, and the place itself felt a bit run-down—sticky tables, leaking AC, and generally in need of some attention. Definitely not a place I’d go back to.
Just got appetizers. Chicken wings and nachos excellent! Very cold day, 57 degrees. Not crowded but great atmosphere!
The food and drink was good, it's a pity that at the end they wanted to steal from the account, saying that the guys were from the service charge when it's not like that since I also work in Miami Beach and I know how they handle payments, bad service, the hostess scolded us for sitting at the tables and not going to the front desk when he wasn't there for minutes. very bad care I will not come back
I came into the bar, I ordered one modelo. The bartender asked for a card and I said I am only going to have one, she replied I'll keep it open. Watched the bartender and staff repeatedly take shots behind the bar. When I asked for my card the bartender stated I didn't give her one, i told her she did she walked away and ignored me. I paid in cash she then refused to give me my change. I had to insist the manager watch the cameras. She charged me $70 and gave my card to a local. Their staff tried to intimidate and bully me into leaving. Avoid this place at all costs their management admitted she charged another regulars bill to my card and let him leave with my card.
As an Irish person this establishment is a shambles. They can’t serve beer properly, tried to order 3 different beers and all of them were out so settled on an American beer and it was flat as a pancake. They charge an automatic 18% gratuity charge on a pint for a start and then to top it off the manager wouldn’t exchange the draft beer even for a bottle which is cheaper. He was rude and completely un accommodating. Avoid at all costs if you are in South Beach!!!
We gave this pub a second chance after being unrightfully thrown out the night before. However they weren’t as nice about it as us because they wouldn’t serve us at all. We wanted to drink 1 drink and move on, if they served we wouldn’t have put any reviews, but this is a disgrace.
