Foco De Chau Miami Reviews
We've been here for dinner and enjoyed a lot of different delicious meats and a great service. The ingredients of the buffet were fresh and tasty, the meat on point! Especially the picaña is awesome. Also they have a great wine selection and friendly staff. It is a bit pricey but it's definitely worth it!
One of my favorite restaurants in the world, and consistently good across branches (they are international)! Very high quality meats, very tasty food, impeccable service, beautifully designed, and thy always give you a feeling of luxury. A must visit!
While this is a chain, and I have been to the restaurant in Baltimore, we found there to be a definite upgrade visiting a Brazilian steak house in Brazil. The food selection in the salad/appetizer bar was of local Brazilian food rather than U.S. style and I thought the meat was of better quality and flavor! The restaurant itself was clean and spacious. The staff was ultra-attentive and friendly. This was an excellent food experience.
Wow, what an experience! One of my best dining experiences ever. First thing first -- the meat 🍖🥓 🥩 it is delicious 🤤!! Try everything brought to you, it's all so delicious, flavorful, and juicy. The Prime Rib especially is amazing and could not get enough of! The accompanying buffet is also full of yummy food and it's worth sampling some of everything ( but remember the meat is the highlight ✨). The service is also great, and the location is beautiful from inside to out. I enjoyed loitering after the meal on the back patio soaking in the view & wine. Just a warning though -- servers waking around with alcoholic drinks (e.g. Port wine) are not included in the buffet price. However, they're very good and recommend trying them. Highly recommend this place!
One of the most famous churrascaria rodizio. With the strong name and reference locally and internationally. Great quality meat. With one of the best cut available in the market. Short ribs, beef ribs, the great pichana and ribeye.
Great food options, the staff were exceptional always came by and asked if we wanted something specific to be served to our table. Great service and good food
Incredible place! The best bar and selection of foods, service. Beautiful view, music... everything was perfect 👌🏻
Very upmarket and I felt very underdressed but no one said anything. The food is fantastic and the view's from the decking is amazing, would be better on a clear day.
This is a good choice for a barbeque dinner in Rio de Janeiro. The quality of the meat and other food items is consistently good, and the service is reliable. I especially want to acknowledge Sr. Maurício Barros, Elionai for their attentive service during my visits. I wish the restaurant success. 💐🌹🇧🇷🥂🎉💯🔥✨💫✨🎉🍻🎉🎉🇧🇷🔥💯💐💐🎉🎉🥂👌🇧🇷👌
We had a fantastic time, the bbq was top notch. Great salad bar, will come back!
Paulo, our server, was fantastic. Warm, knowledgeable, but not all up in our business. The place is a tad noisy, they could work on their acoustics. But we had a great time nonetheless
It’s worth it, they bring around a bunch of meat and you eat until you are full. Some dishes aren’t ready until later in the evening so I think a later reservation is ideal. They have a patio with great views at night. You start with salad and drinks and then just stay and eat meat all night. They had this cheese dish with honey and banana with cinnamon as dessert. It came out to $100 usd which was worth it. 2 people. Great service. A couple of larger parties were celebrating and they had a big projector room. I paid with credit card. While taking an Uber it’s kinda hard to get to the place because of traffic, but allow for traffic in order to make it on time.
We loved the experience at Fogo de Chão. The service was sensational. The waiters were all very friendly and very attentive. Emanoel, Lu and Rejison served us and it was impeccable. The caipirinhas and the advice from Marilia were wonderful and very professional! I can only rave about the food! we will definitely come back and highly recommend it.
I had a really pleasant experience at this restaurant! 😊 The food was fresh and delicious 🍽️, and the staff were polite and attentive 🙌. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable, making it perfect for visiting with family or friends 💛. The prices are reasonable for the quality. Definitely recommended! 👍✨
Excellent food, service, atmosphere, music and overall attention. This is my first visit to Brazil and it’s everything that I imagined. Thank you all!
Juicy rodiocio style bbq meat. Great selection salad bar, nice atmosphere and good views of the bay.
I’ve been to two of the “Fogo de Chao’s” in the United States, mainly in southern California. This was probably going to be the “Michael Jordan” of Fogo’s & it was! First off the view of the beach, mountains and skyscrapers were awesome. I didn’t get seated outside because it was a cold night but from the inside looking out, it’s amazing. They start you off with the appetizers like the cheese bread which was extra delicious, fries, fried onions, & fried polenta. Excellent additions to your meats & the all you can eat salad bar was next level too. I ordered the max all you can eat & it was excellent. Lots of meat to choose from, leave your indicator to green and you’re off to eating. The meats were all very flavorful and excellent, it was really hard to pinpoint my favorite. I ended the night with their cake that had carmel inside with a side of vanilla ice cream topped with some berries. It was spectacular, I forgot the name of it. I highly recommend that one if you’re not already super full. Excellent view, amazing food & it’s in Brazil! I highly recommend This spot as the Best fogo and greatest all you can eat Buffett for me!
Great dining experience. I am a tour guide and bring tourist to this place quite often, and they usually love it. The food is really great, by any standards. Here, you can try a great variety of the Brazilian meat, as well as good salads and typical local fruits, like caju. The service might have been better, however. It depends a lot on the day - sometimes it’s as great as anything else here, sometimes quite slow. Still, it’s forgivable for the amount of people they serve. As a suggestion, you should put the olive oil on each table, I’d be better than to ask it every time. Anyway, overall, the place is great, and I will come back many many times inshallah.
Liked It very much and enjoyed the friendly service. Meat was tasty and Not over the top.
We had dinner here with a group. The venue is stunning and the staff was absolutely lovely! Took care of us from start to finish and the food was impeccable. A special thanks to Leo, Lucas and Jeferson!
Such a lovely restaurant with great service. When we came there were fireworks on the lagoon with the Christmas tree, it looking beautiful. Food was delicious and salad bar was best I’ve ever experienced.
An amazing experience! A true Brazilian-style churrascaria located right on the water in Botafogo. All you can eat steak, chicken, and sausage, along with a salad bar and snacks along the way. A great place to go for a huge meal. Don't expect to be hungry for the rest of the night afterward :-)
It was very good. The service was a 10/10. Definitely would come back. Paulo was a great waiter and all the team gave us help whenever needed.
Fogo de Chão in Rio de Janeiro is not like any other on Earth. The did was so good. The meats were excellent. I was too busy eating to take photos. I usually photograph my food, but not this time. It was really that good. The views from this locating were excellent with Sugar Loaf mountain as a backdrop. The prices were reasonable. We actually went here on Christmas day as there was little else open. It turned out to be a treat. Everything was fantastic, from the service to the meal to the stunning views. I highly highly recommend Fogo de Chão for anyone looking to have a great dining experience in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 🇧🇷
Fantastic meal, very nice with our kids. With kids eating for free it makes it worth while for parents who want a nice meal with no pressure. Great service as well, plenty of mean none stop
Absolutely fantastic! One of the best feast I have ever had in my life. Its located in a beautiful spot, has amazing stuff. Even the salad bar is great. Everything here is absolutely great.
Fogo de Chão is something I first discovered back in the States, long before Brazil ever felt real or reachable to me. So coming to Rio, I was genuinely excited to finally experience it on its home turf—where the tradition actually comes from. And honestly? It didn’t disappoint. Brazilian beef is on another level in general, but this location exceeded every expectation. The cuts were incredible, the service was attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere—combined with that view—made the whole experience feel elevated. The salad bar was better than I remembered, and the quality across the board really showed. My only regret is that I’m currently cutting, so I didn’t let myself enjoy a drink at the bar while taking in the view. But that’s a me problem, not a Fogo problem. I’ll be back soon when I’m off this cut. Loved it. A great experience, and absolutely worth the visit.
Impeccable service. The servers are extremely attentive and quick. Buffet was fresh, the choice of meats was varied and high quality. We had an amazing time for our friend's birthday.
This is an amazing place to experience a true Brazilian BBQ. There is a salad/vegetable bar and then waiters come around the tables to serve meat. There were steak, beef, lamb, chicken and ribs. They also serve garlic bread at the tables. The options were many and the service was fast.
Delicous Brazilian Barbecue with a variety of side dishes and a great view of the harbour of Botagogo. Service was great and you get treated like the queen of England . I recommend to get a reservation upfront. On the wine menu you get better value for money with the Argentinian wines than the Italian ones.
We have been to several Fogo's in US and love them but to go to one in Rio was even more incredible! Everything from the view, to the wine and of course the food was wonderful. May never get back to Brazil but we can always visit a little piece of it at any of the Fogo's...
We had such a wonderful experience at the restaurant. Paulo and André were incredibly attentive, kind, and professional from start to finish. They made sure everything was perfect and treated us with genuine warmth and care. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, but their service truly made the difference. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!
We had an outstanding experience in this restaurant, the service was very pleasant, funny and generous. Thank you so much especially to Elionai
Attended for my Mother’s birthday. Food was absolutely excellent, incredible selection of meats, all cooked to perfection, with a diverse assortment of salads/side dishes to go with the various meats. A standout experience was the service of the staff, our server Marcos was extremely attentive, polite and very knowledgable. Every server was so quick in replacing our plates and cutlery for fresh ones, and would be at our table before having to say anything. An amazing restaurant and experience overall, highly recommend!
An incredible rodizio! I was blown away by the huge selection of meats, each served perfectly seasoned and succulent. The flavors are bold and the quality is consistent throughout the meal. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking for a genuine Rio dining experience.
Beautiful place with perfect staff, the food was exceptional and high level. Big thank you to Elionai that host us in an outstanding way
Paulo was great. Great service and great food. Good variety. Lovely view as well which is an added bonus.
The quality of the meat was among the highest I’ve tasted. I’ve tried their San Francisco location and was not impressed at all but being in Brasil I had to give it another chance and I’m glad I did. I understand the hype now. If you’re in the area definitely stop by and give them a try. Also, the grilled pineapple is a dessert here and is a separate charge.
Fogo de Chão” means “fire on the ground” — a traditional way of cooking meat in the South of Brazil. This restaurant offers a very special dining experience, combining the authentic Brazilian churrasco with an extraordinary view of the sea. The quality of the meats, the attentive service make it an really unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something truly special.
All cuts I tried were very good. The assortment of side dishes was a really diverse taste palette so I would figure everyone (except a vegan 😂) can find their way to something they really appreciate with the cuts! Some of the servers where a bit awkward in English, yet one of the waiters ( Ginaldo ) tried his absolute best in English and in the most friendly way could teach me some Portuguese words. Every time this man came to the table he was optimistic and you could truly feel this man lives and works with a sincere heart of love and even went down to help people even out their wobbly table. To the management: I do hope you treat this man with all the deserved respect. Because people like Ginaldo are hard to keep and are deserving of great opportunities within the sector. Consider promition for this man! Thank you for an amazing evening to the entire team with Ginaldo in particular!❤️
Great experience! Quality of food was top notch and the view of the harbor helped set the scene. If you liked a certain cut or meat, they were sure to keep coming back. Airton did just that my mother-in-law. I mentioned to him that she only like picanha and he made sure she was served as much as she wanted. Really thank him and the team for a wonderful meal.
This place was awesome. I have nothing bad to say. I was I didn't have lunch the day I went for dinner because everything was amazing. Just when I thought I couldn't eat anymore meat before I exploded, I found room for the cheesecake! It was so good I finished it! Worth every penny. Go online and make yourself a reservation, and go with an empty stomach!
Great service, Paulo took great care of us! I do not eat meat, so I had the salmon and combined with the great salad buffet, I had the best dinner! The others at my table had the full experience and were all totally happy.
This is a Brazilian steakhouse that operates as a "rodízio" - the all-you-can-eat style where servers bring grilled meats to your table. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the meat quality was good. Prices are quite reasonable for what you get. One thing to be aware of: the servers sometimes bring the same cuts of meat repeatedly while other cuts may not reach your table at all. You need to pay attention to what's being served around the room and be proactive about asking for cuts you want to try. If you're not careful, you might miss out on some options. Overall, it's a solid choice for a meat meal at a fair price. Just stay aware of what's happening around you to get the full variety of meats available.
Was neither wow’d nor dissatisfied but somewhere in the middle. Some meats were a little too salty for my liking but they did have a good variety of meat and rounded consistently. Side options at the salad bar were nothing to rave about but the drinks were done very well. The atmosphere and outside dining view were the main reasons I would come back as it’s a nice place to dress up and enjoy. Ironically the Fogo de Chão in Fort Lauderdale is better food wise (in my opinion) considering this is a Brazilian steakhouse.
Great food but not as good as other churrasco I’ve had in Brazil and pricey >100 CAD per person The building is very nice and in a good location Some of the things they offer are not included (like the shots) so just confirm before accepting
The food is very good. Already the buffet has some great stuff like jamon iberico, nice cheeses, smoked salmon or honey bacon. Then I went with one of the meats, Fraldinho, and they came twice to serve me. What I didn't like is that they constantly try to stuff you up with cheap food. I didn't touch any of the polenta or bread on the table and refused the chicken and other cheap stuff they tried to serve me all the time and they didn't look overly happy about it. 13% service charge.
Great tasting meats, but slow service for them meant that I often had an empty plate, and did not get to try a wide variety (certain meats came out more frequently and when your hungry you'll fill up on those rather than indefinitely persevere).
Upscale restaurant to eat the traditional churrasco. The service is professional and the food is good. If you go, you better get the full experience menu. My wife does not eat red meat, and she got the chicken menu. Nobody brought her chicken. We had to beg for it twice and both times they brought the same cut.
Muy buenas carnes!, exelente servicio, faltaría que los mozos hablen un poco español ya que no son claros los precios de opciones que tienen para comidas. Los precios son acordes, quizás un poco excedidos los precios de los vinos. El resto muy bueno
Fogo de Chão — where do I even begin? My best friend and I visited to celebrate my birthday yesterday, 01/10/2026. We arrived around 9:30 PM without a reservation and were seated promptly, which we appreciated. The initial service was very pleasant, and we opted for the full experience. The meat and chicken were excellent, and the food overall was enjoyable. Toward the end of the meal, I stepped away to use the restroom. During that time, my best friend spoke with our waiter and requested the birthday cake after noticing other guests being celebrated with candles, singing, and applause from the staff. When I returned, it took about 20 more minutes for anyone to check on us, and by then it was close to 11:30 PM. My best friend had to ask again for the birthday cake. Unfortunately, from that point on, the experience felt uncomfortable. We do not speak Portuguese and felt as though we were being talked about or mocked, which was disappointing. As visitors to Rio and having been to multiple Fogo de Chão locations, we expected a more welcoming and attentive experience, especially for a special occasion. The cake eventually arrived, but it felt rushed, and shortly after, we were approached with the bill, which gave the impression that we were being pushed out. All I had hoped for was a simple birthday celebration with candles and staff participation to end the night on a positive note. Overall, while the food was great, the ending of the experience left me disappointed. In the end, I hope management takes feedback like this into consideration to improve future guest experiences.
For the price 50€/person, the picanha was not of top quality. Service was amazing and friendly. Some other cuts were very nice.
I was excited to be back at this location after some years, I booked it some time in advance. The meat remains tasty, the buffet is good, but not as good as it used to be. Service was the worst part, the staff seemed annoyed when asking info on the meat cuts. Even more rudely, they came up to us with the bill (which we had not yet asked for) while we were having a conversation on the terrace really unusual behavior for any restaurant. I will not be back.
Very unfortunate to have to leave a 3-star review, especially since the quality of the meat is truly excellent. Unfortunately, the service is clearly below average. Drinks were noted incorrectly, and despite having a table reservation, we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Now to the negative highlight: tequila is offered at the table as if it were included in the menu or part of the experience. In reality, the tequila is a complete rip-off — 190 BRL (approximately €30) per shot, something you only discover when you receive the bill. For a restaurant of this caliber, this is completely unacceptable. It is very disappointing that such practices ruined what could have been an outstanding dining experience.
The service leaves much to be desired. The hostess, the waiter that takes your drink order... (i waited 20 minutes and contemplated leaving as I was left with a menu and saw 4 other people come after me and get service) the men serving meat, they all collectively bring down the vibe of the place. Only one waiter, or possibly manager type person (young and caramel colored skin), came to ask me if I needed anything. He is the reason I am giving the place 3 stars and not 2. I went on a week day evening, the place wasn't busy, it was pleasant as the DJ had good mixes but it took a really long time to get table service. The food, both buffet and meat are amazing and atmosphere but the service was a let down.
I went as my Brazilian friend recommended it. But I was very disappointed... the steaks are not that tender but rather over cooked. The choices are minimal and not wow. The price however was high and with the add ons and tips it ended up to be $650 🇧🇷 NOT WORTH it at all
The food is DELICIOUS but they’re a bit frugal with the meat cuts. One of the waiters tried to give my husband a cut of fat and my husband told him he wanted the cut of meat and he finally agreed after the second time he asked. We also asked for a second cut of a different piece of meat and the waiter ignored us and just gave us one small piece and walked away
Really over the top fancy churrasco place, they only bring you the good cuts if you complain and overall the point of the meat was off sometimes. The employees were very rude at the end they were saying we were paying less than we should and everything was right. Overall I'd go somewhere else for the Brazilian bbq experience
Food was nothing great. We thought it would be a much nicer dining experience but was casual at best. People in flip flops, kids laying down on couches - just not a nice place for a date. Way too expensive as well.
The food is amazing and the meat is great quality. However, I didn't like the way the waiters welcomed us. We arrived and were placed on our table and then we were given the menu. After 20 minutes, nobody came to us to confirm our order and to explain how the buffet works. At some point, we started to go to the buffet by ourselves. We were served good meat. After a while, I wanted to do a break in the eating but my friend wanted to continue to eat. Usually it's not a big deal to do so in any churrasceria but here the servers suddenly stopped to serve us. We waited 20 minutes and had to ask for the picanha piece my friend was waiting for. Meanwhile those 20 minutes of waiting, a server randomly took my plate and my cutlery without asking me anything. I was not hungry anymore but what if I still wanted some meat ? Anyway, finally my friend was still eating his pieces of meat, and a server randomly took the sauces and the french fries out of the table, again without speaking a word. We had the impression that we were not welcomed anymore and that the servers were urging us to leave ! Despite the food being really good, the overall impressions was terrible and unwelcoming. We don't recommend this restaurant. PS : I precise that my friend is fluent in portuguese and that the language was really not a barrier here.
The meat was tough and served in large, hard-to-chew pieces. The service felt cold, as if the staff didn’t want to be there. Even though local guests got birthday songs and candles, our birthday was marked only by a silent dessert. I have had much better churrascaria experiences outside Brazil, and for the price and reputation, this place is overrated and not recommended at all.
In few words I don't recommend this place, there are plenty other restaurants with this type of food that are better, and less expensive. We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. Service was honestly terrible. When we asked to change a plate, the waiter brought the new one and literally threw the cutlery onto the table. The staff barely attended us, and we waited around 20 minutes for the meat skewers to start coming. They advertise around 20 different cuts of meat, but we were only offered about 3 or 4 — mostly just picanha over and over again. It felt misleading. Plates stayed on the table for a long time, even after we ordered coffee. No one came to clear them. The overall attitude from most of the waiters was unfriendly and dismissive. To be fair, after we complained, the staff serving the skewers were more attentive. But the general service remained poor. When we decided to leave a lower tip due to the experience, the person at the register asked why — we explained — and she simply charged us and walked away without any acknowledgment. For a dinner that cost us around 2,600 MXN (which is very expensive), this was extremely disappointing and not worth the price at all. Would not recommend.
I’ve been to Fogo de Chao many locations, in New York (Brooklyn & Queens), Los Angeles, Atlanta, etc., and I thought why not try one in Rio, Batafogo, since it’s originally a Brazilian steakhouse! lol. I decided to have my fiancé’s birthday dinner there, and I must say the experience was probably one of the worst. Don’t get me wrong, the meats I got to try were all delicious, but I only got to try a few because they barely came to our table with the meats. This is after we told 2 waiters that no meat had came to our table yet. (We were literally the only Black people in there.) But I don’t want to think that’s why they didn’t want to serve us. Hey, at least they sang a little happy birthday to bae at the end of the dinner. Bae, of course, got the dry-age T-bone. I got the full churrasco experience.
I don’t get the hype. 1 hour to have a table (we had a reservation of course). Waiters are literally dropping the meat to your plate without any explanation and if you dare to ask which kind of meat they do not even reply and leave the table. The buffet is not good compared to other churascarias. The meat is way too salty. Will never come back
The worst service I’ve had in a long time. Especially for a nicer restaurant. Rey rood meat servers if you request a meat cause they skip you they get mad it’s been 30 minutes waiting for top sirloin as I’m writing this.
Reservation is recommended. My favourite cuts were porterhouse, leg of lamb and rib eye. No dress code so you can wear shorts and vest, great for tourists. I did eat a lot which meant the waiters had to notify their manager. This led to the waiters ignoring my table and getting weird looks from the manager when the waiter would keep him updated about how much food I’m eating. It shouldn’t be an issue as it’s all you can eat, I guess they thought I wasn’t a profitable customer.
Extremely bad service. The service staff are rude and racist. They are stingy with the cuts, especially picanha. They only want to be kind and respectful to white people, but are extremely harsh to coloured people, especially Muslims like me. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT HERE AGAIN. GO TO MOCELLIN IN BARRA. Better service. Better meats.
Very disappointing experience. The service was extremely poor and careless from start to finish, and the food was even worse. Considering this restaurant promotes itself as serving premium or high-quality cuts of meat, the reality was shocking. Several pieces of meat were tough and completely inedible, while others were mostly fat with very little actual meat. The variety was also very limited. The side dishes were acceptable but nothing special—certainly not memorable or delicious. As for the drinks, I ordered an Aperol Spritz and it was overly bitter, completely lacking the proper balance it should have. Overall, this restaurant is massively overpriced for the low quality it delivers. There are countless places in Rio de Janeiro that offer far better food, service, and value for money. This place is absolutely not worth it, and I would not recommend it at all.
Overall, I was disappointed. The novelty is fun and the setting is nice, but the food didn’t deliver. The salad bar had too many options yet nothing stood out - flavors were watery and bland. The meat was worse: overcooked, dry, sometimes cold, and felt low quality. Service was efficient but rushed, clearly moving you in and out. It’s reasonably priced for the format, but the experience was ultimately lackluster. I’m genuinely surprised by how well-reviewed it is.
We have been many times here. Performance has gone down a lot…salad buffet too small, very few waiters. Very little meat offered and not all of premium quality
The food was undeniably fantastic. It’s too bad that it was completely overwhelmed by the staff treating my group poorly. Not the waiters that were bringing food, but what seemed to be section or floor managers. Our assigned manger blatantly ignored us for the majority of the meal, even as we attempted to get his attention. This was especially apparent at the end of the meal as we had to ask for our check 3 times (we were acknowledged each time as having made the request). The food was great, but I was so disappointed by how we were treated that I won’t go back or recommend this restaurant to anyone I know traveling to Rio.
