Fung Ku Miami Reviews
Live this place. Food was just a journey through Asia and the service was amazing. Judelins smile and great service all g with his knowledge of food and beers from the orient kept us in good spirits. Selina the manager made us feel like royalty while dining in South Beach with her bouncing hair and beautiful sparkling personality made me feel like I should leave without trying the whole menu. I recommend this place to any tourist or local visitor, try the Crab Rangoon’s, or the King of Salmon Roll you definitely wont be disappointed when you have this feeling or an orgasm in your mouth. Friendly knowledgeable staff, great food, awesome locations with good tunes spinning you can’t go wrong dining here.
Had a wonderful time here in Fung Kü, the food was great and our server was very kind with us. In my humble opinion the sushi served here was way better than the one sold at Sushi Samba. The fish was really fresh and the rice was tasty - never had a sushi so good! The quality/price ratio is really high, for the food we got I thought we were gonna spend more than what we actually have. Great restaurant, great location and again: wonderful service. Hope to come back again!
The atmosphere and food is amazing! Judelin is a great waiter, ask for him!q
I bought two sushi rolls (2 days ago) and they were delicious! One was a volcano roll and I can't remember the 2nd roll lol. Our waitress was helpful too!
This is one of our favorite places for date night. The manager Adam is very attentive to the restaurant guests. He even makes sure he offers the new flavors of infused sake everytime.
Everything was fantastic! We had the spicy rock shrimp and edamame to start, and spicy beef and broccoli as a main. I didn’t want to stop eating!
Sushi was amazing. Calamari was outstanding. Beef Pad thai was so delicious. The service was perfect. Thanks for a great night of food.
Always friendly service and the best sushi without spending too much $$$$ I walked around for 2 hours trying to find this place again. Making sure to bookmark it this time.
The sushi is sooooooooo good!!! The employees are awesome as well. If you’re in Miami you must stop here and sit with Danika or Alex!!! Great service!!!
Just had some appetizers. Large size. Very affordable price for that area. Tastes great. Nice ambience. Bit clubby.
Loveeeeeee this place food is good and even better staff Phil the manager is the best very helpful and caring this visit to the restaurant Was the highlight of our trip the atmosphere that is created here is great I will be returning!!!!!!!
Amazing atomsphere with good music and the vibes of Collins Ave. Not a seafood fan, but their tacos and Japanese Fried Chicken did not disappoint.
What a place to go had so much fun in the sushi was absolutely Divine the drinks were amazing thank you George for making us feel good we will definitely go back there next week
Nice little place, food tasted great, but I must say the sushi rolls are just tiny. I loved the coconut shrimp roll, lovely flavour. I noticed the had a sushi bar inside, but didn't notice until I was leaving.
Great food and good service. Went for lunch and they only had their sushi menu, which is what we wanted anyway. So win/win! Their coconut cocktail is amazing!
I come here every week. Great ambiance. Food amazing. Steph the hostess is so courteous and friendly. Andrew the waiter is excellent on suggestions, polite and at tentative. Thank you.
Food and service were amazing. Best fried rice we have ever had. Dumplings, crab Rangoon were great too. Don’t know why this place is so underrated
Had drinks at the bar, the bartender Mike was the sweetest, coolest person in all of Miami. Best drinks around. I'll definitely be back just cause the experience with him was so cool
Love it, amazing sushi, drinks were spot.on, actually we told the bartender to surprise us and he made us y different drinks that were very good, music was awesome!! Cool place to hang with friends, thank you george for everything!!!!!
I had a wonderful experience at Fung Ku! The hotel was not a good experience however Phil and the rest of the staff were awesome and made my visit to Miami better. They were very attentive and had great customer service. Thanks again!!!
We come to Miami at least once a year and make a stop here everytime we come. Food is delicious and service was great. Our server Ale was so sweet and attentive, best service we’ve had in Miami in a long time. Definitely recommend coming here if you’re in town and requesting her if she’s working!
Love this place. Food quality is excellent. You're on Collins, which means a bit of traffic noise if you're seated outside, but worth it. Get the rock shrimp appetizer. All the sushi rolls are great. Our waiter was Randy, he was excellent.
I give this place 5 stars because our server Danika was great. She was very helpful and attentive to our order. The food was amazing, I ordered the General Tao Beef and the crab Rangoon had real crab! The live dj played some great records and the vibe of this restaurant was just super upbeat. I definitely recommend this spot anyone looking for Asian cuisine and a good experience!
Had an early dinner the other day. Music and atmosphere were great but the best part was the service! I dinned alone but i was taken care of like i had a compony the whole time. My server Mariia was very professional, quick and attentive. Rolls were so yummy! Definitely coming back and will recommend it to friends.
We had dinner here on a Monday night. Everything about the environment outside was incredible. You can sit under beautiful lighting and soak up the perfect night weather that Miami has to offer. The food selection all looks great. They have a range of sushi rolls at a range of prices and a nice selection of other foods too. The PuPu Platter was delicious and came on a a very unique rotating dish that continued cooking the ribs over an open flame! The cocktail wasn't too watered down or too strong and my beer was at a decent price. Our server was friendly and quick and checked in appropriately. Overall this was my favorite sit-down experience in Miami in my 5 day vacation! And the prices were just an added little bonus.
I had a great experience at this place. Great food awesome drinks. Mike the manager was so helpful getting the speakers set up on their amazing roof top. The bar was well stocked. We will definitely be coming back.
Great place! English and a little bit of Spanish. Hablo español y poco de ingles pero no fue impedimento para recibir una gran atención por parte del personal. Volvería!
Chicken fried rice and king of salmon roll was amazing, highly recommended. Calamari kind of flavorless, not recommended. Staff was really nice when they noticed , however service wasn't the greatest. Took a while for someone to acknowledge us to seat us, and we waited a while for the server to come and take our order.
Atmosphere was cool there, sitting outside and enjoy music and weather. Food was good, I’ve had better sushi before, but the cashew nut chicken und the dumplings were really good. Nice prices for good food and cool vibes! It was a little bit chaos as we were there, so I got the appetizer at the end but I didn’t mind, so everything’s fine.
Loved the location, the food was amazing, the drinks were decent, & the waitress was cool!
Excellent place to dinner. Selena is a really good waitress she is really helpful and she smiles to you and treat you really good.
Great food, the manager came to greet us and make sure we were taken care of.
I thought the food was delicious and the portions were perfect. The service was a little slow and they didnt have a few dishes on the menu, but I'd go back.
The sushi was amazing but the noodle bowl was awful it was glorified oodles and noodles w squash on it. Also the rock shrimp was great. Stay away from noodle bowls .
Danica at Fung Ku was wonderful. I cannot say that I cared for the hotel or staff attached to this restaurant but she was amazing and made it a point to make our night enjoyable.
I was here since my mom was too lazy to take me to Katana, but the sushi was delicious and the japanese lemonade i got was great! the waitress was nice too. only rating this 4 stars because I was there for about 2 hours and I paid over 50 dollars for the food. ;v;
Overall atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant is really cool. They had a pretty good DJ while we were walking by. We grabbed lunch after the beach. Tuna Poke bowl was a little disappointing but still pretty good. The Market fish tacos were awesome!
Muy buena atención. Los platos son originales y bien presentados.
Went here for options only yo be met with none they took items off menu, didn't have anything but chicken to offer limited choices. And that was four days. The outside seating is nice. The bar tender Mike inside is awesome.....
I ordered a Fish dish with asian greens (sprouts, carrots, and was expecting Kimchi). I waited an hour, and their idea of kimchi is different from the rest of the world (protip: wasn't kimchi). The meal itself was actually impressive, but I was also starving by the time I got it. Over all wasn't very satisfied. However I ended up leaving an extra tip for my waiter as he was particularly helpful and felt terrible about the wait. OH and don't get me started on the music, but it's south beach so expected.
The food was decent but service was terrible. I was the only one in the restaurant and it took 30 minutes just to get a glass of water. The staff was really nice, just very, very slow
We came in late night: we waited up by the hostess stand for several minutes before heading inside. The manager was great, he seated us. Our waitress was seemingly indifferent. The sushi was ok, not terrible but not great. However the kimchi was just cabbage in fish sauce. The drinks were pretty good though.
I have some mixed feelings about this place. Read some positive and negative review about this place. The waiter was nowhere to be found when needed. The POKE BOWL is removed from the menu. However, still available but received a poor version of it. The sushi roll is quite nice. The King of Salmon roll was outstanding
All the good reviews appear to be from people who don't care much about authentic Asian taste and quick service. Terrible service, bad food. We liked the ambience so we decided to eat here and after all what could go wrong in an Asian place. Got the table quickly and got our drinks within 15 mins. But food came 45 mins later and that too extremely bland and nothing close to authentic asian. We were told the sushi chef has too many ordered so our sushi rolls will take 10 more minutes (after having waited for 1 hour already). The waitress was super friendly but she couldn't help speed up the orders. I guess the chefs are lousy. Will not recommend this to anyone. Avoid!!
Typically pricey, rather slow service, and mediocre sushi, but decent patio vibe
One of the worst I have been to. Can you imagine how long we waited before we get the food? A hour! And there are only several costomers. Plus the food sucks!
Nice ambiance, great waitress, good sushi... pass on the rest. PuPu NOT worth the price, miso bland, dishes lack flavor, sadly won't be back... remote CC terminals non-working too
Food was good. Service was horrible. Inattentive. Took more than 10 minute to get a server. Gratuity is included. I recommend not coming here.
Worst slowest service in the world. I'm not sure is it because all gratuity is included and they just don't care. Food was awful. Waiter didn't know the menu.
Ordered wings and pad thai for carry out. Staff had no clue how to work a credit card machine and the one person who could, had her iPad die in the middle of the process. Took over 20 minutes just to order food. Food was not very good. Wings were fine except they forgot the chili sauce. Pad Thai should be removed from the menu. Worst I have ever had!
Stay away from the Sushi Maria (bloody mary). Watered down, no flavor at all. Service was slow, food was only okay. Although I have to admit, the decor was actually pretty cool.
The food and drinks were not bad but the service was horrible. So slow and unapologetic for it. Then they charged a service charge and gratuity. Giving themselves 20% for their mediocre service. I never leave a bad review here but felt I wasted my money. Good DJ though
I'm a frequent quest of the Southbeach group hotels and have never had a bad experience until encountering Molly our server. Her attitude was SO unprofessional and service horrible. Not sure how she got a job dealing with customers, as her attitude is that of someone who should be as far away from human contact as possible. She never refilled our water or even checked on us and when she came back with the bill, it wasn't ours. Of course she gets an attitude with me when I call her out on it, then I asked if she can separate it from my friend (another attitude). My food was great, but Molly's attitude and lack of customer service changed the whole experience. I do hope management reads reviews and takes inventory of these things. Hopefully when I return, she'll be working elsewhere...perhaps grooming animals. Then again she would probably be rude to them as well.smh
Nice atmosphere, but food was nowhere near worth the prices. Most of the items on the menu we asked about were not available. Brown rice was way undercooked and braised pork tacos were extremely dry and nothing special. Waitress was nice, but service was slow even though the restaurant was almost completely empty. Very disappointed with this restaurant.
We walked by here on Saturday, thinking this was a quick stop for sushi. Were we wrong. The food was mediocre at best and the food took forever to come out. There was 2 other tables, so the place wasn't packed. The waitress wasn't knowledgeable on the menu and the service wasn't great. We got our drink, no refills, and no plastic-ware for our son. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Food is ok, the place lacks identity, is it Asian, Mexican or American? Service was good and fast, server Selina took care of us really well. Place was clean.
Apperantly it's not possible to get a straw to your drink, cause the owner want to keep the place clean. Amazing ...
Worst sushi ever, slow service. Cold miso soup, bad quality ingredients. Not recomended.
Service was slow and not helpful. Food was good . All the fees tacked on to your meal was outrageous no other restaurant we have been at on a week Vaca has charged us so much!
Ordered a ramen and received a bowl of soup with no noodle. Talked to the waitress and she said I ordered a soup! Excuse me! There is NO ramen soup on your menu! Very basic sushi and it took forever to make. Poor attitude.
Its a shame. It has great location. Food is ok. Not great but service is awfull. Super.slow Not great. Amazing that Sushi song ( small place) gives better service and food
Service was the worst I have ever experience! No plates. No soy sauce. After the second request I went and got it myself. Drinks took 35 minutes to arrive. Never go to this place! Service was the worst! Oh and my seat was wet!
don't bother going there we had a cold pu pu platter chef improvised our main course it was nothing like the description on the menu we never received the glass of water we requested when ordering. Skip this place entirely 😠😠
Way over priced. 14% auto gratuity, 6% service and 9% tax. Food is just "ok" for a place where, even when empty, you still have to wait over 30mins to get your food
DO NOT EAT HERE. YOU WILL REGRET. WE ORDERED SUSHI, THEY FORGOT AND TOOK 2 HOURS. RUDE AND CLUELESS WAITRESSES. THEN, THEY GAVE US ONE ORDER, JUST RAW ONE TYPE OF VEGGIE. EVEN A DOG WOULD NOT EAT IT. SO DISORGANIZED. I HAVE NEVER SEEN LIKE THIS. SPOKE TO THE MANAGER, HE REMEMBERED THAT WE WALKED IN 2 HOURS AGO.THE WORST NIGHT FOR ME AND HER. SPENT $46 FOR NOTHING WASTED 2 HOURS.
Not worth the money. Terrible Sushi and worst of all is that they include 18% tip that you can't deny because the service is not that good.
THIS PLACE HIRE ANYBODY FROM THE HOST TO KITCHEN I WENT FOR LATE DINNER AND LEAVING I SEEN A WOMEN MAYBE MAN WITH DREAD LOCKS AND A COUPLE OF GUYS THAT WAS SERVINGME IT LOOKS LIKE SMOKING AND EXCHANGE FOOD FOR MONEY OR WEED WHAT I SEEN WAS ENOUGH NOT TO GO BACK WHO EVER RUNS TTHIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN ITS NOT A SAFE PLACE IF DRUG TRANSACTIONS OUR PART OF IT
The food was about as bland as you could ever imagine and the service was a real disappointment..and my friend said her Virginia slim was easily the tastiest thing she put in her mouth during our meal.
Decent food, terrible service... Extremely slow, and had the audacity to add on gratuity 'for our convenience'. Disappointing.
Here for evening drinks - do not have beers according to the card, wine sure do not taste like the one you ordered (or maybe from a bootle opened a couple of days ago)
AVOID AT ALL COSTS Awful, bland, unauthentic food. Half the menu wasn't available and painfully slow service that forgot all our starters. Plenty of other tables walked out too. Seemed understaffed but the very few staff were still abysmal, forgetting basics like napkins and chopsticks as well as bringing the wrong food to the wrong tables.
Worst place in Miami, we waited half hour to just get an appetizer and they got it wrong. waited another half hour to get main course and same situation. They try to fix it but again wrong order. So after 3 try at least we got our food right. Now waiting for another half hour to get our check with we didn't get utill asking for 3 times. Wouldn't be coming back..
It's been 50 minutes here and we still dont have water drinks, or our food. It's not even packed either.... Please hire more busboys, waiters, or chefs. Whatever it takes to get your service out on a timely manner. Update: it's been one hour and I'm dying of thirst and hunger. Update again: food ain't bad! But I still wasted more than an hour of my time waiting
I can bear 'not tasty' food because it might because they could be simply not my type. However, each cuisine has its basic principal and when service also comes bad, it becomes unacceptable. We were told that we needed to wait a bit longer for the food which was fine. We ordered some Ramen. But then the ramen actually came, it was simple soup and almost no noodle!! We asked a waitress and she simply explained that the ramen is a soup. We travelled often and do have understanding about Japanese food. Even if the food does not taste well, it should as least follow the basic rule. Table serving was not pleasant but the later managerial explanation and apology saved slightly.
Worst place to eat on south beach terrible service, waited 45 mins just for an appetizer on a slow evening, and another 40 mins for our main course which was 2 simple items. Over priced for the quality of food and service provided. Do not eat here! They don't even use real fish or crab in their sushi!!! All imitation meat!
If there was something lower than a one star together I would give it. Forget the service being horrible he could be even take the order correctly. Anything that I ordered with crab was not available because there was no crab available. 45 minutes to get appetizers and God knows how long to finally get the meal because I'm about to leave. Literally don't go here. At this point I'll settle for subway before I come here
Food was good but that was it. I reccived the food afther a 30min wait but at a 10min diffrense from my date. Witch made it very uncomfortable staying there as i got a hot plate getting cold because of the wait for my date to get hers. Tok forever to get the tab and when we finnaly got it. It had a auto tip at 14% +6% fee and and exstra 9% tax for whatever reason witch made the poor experiance 29% worse. Whould give 0 stars if possible. Not worth the money or time, not recommended.
Worst dining experience of my entire life, downright creepy. The staff is very, very odd. If you want a really weird Rocky Horror-esque experience – and is willing to be charged more than you ordered for (beware of the added charges) – you should consider going there though.
The good: My waiter is nice The bad: my food was over 45min just coming out... And of course was cold. They then microwaved it...gross. I can barely even get scauce. I gave up on a fork 20 min ago. My scauce did finally come and it's freezing... Like refigerated cold. W.T.F. And on top of it all... the food isn't very good. It's just ok. I'd opt for Subway next time. I would complain... But that just means I will be stuck in this food purgatory longer. Check Please.
Terrible. Food was mediocre and the service was TERRIBLE. It took FOREVER for EVERYTHING-Food, drinks, extra sauce, check, etc. And supposedly, 2 months ago they stopped taking credit cards or debit cards that don't have the chip in them. So some of us were forced to use their expensive ATM to withdraw money to pay our bill. Never again. Steer cleer of this place.
Arrived 20 minutes after opening, none of the waiters were even close to being done with their opening work. sat and waited on the waiter for a good 25 minutes, sushi was great thanks to the man at the sushi bar who was ready and prepared it at the time of opening but horrible service by the waiter, business was ran poorly and its overpriced even for Miami.
Our waiter was stoned, our food took a hour to get and when we got it was wrong. We just wanted to get the check and leave. When we got the check the had already added 14% tip for our stoned waiter. Worst experience
The good was basic and the staff rude. We were visiting family staying at the hotel and the restaurant was in their lobby so we stopped for a bite. I got something simple, pan fried dumplings (Gyoza) and it was expensive, small portioned and terrible. I love the ones at Saitos.
Horrible service. went to have dinner my friends and I, and the server named (danica) took our orders and the orders were wrong. you guys should train better Your staff never going back to this restaurant again
Food was mediocre. Shrimp tacos and rolls ordered were not very impressive. Had better at chain restaurants at half the price. Also, beer was warm and when asked to replace with cold ones, received a colder response. Should have just gone to pizza joint down the street.
We were at this restaurant on August 2nd, from 9-11pm (yes, two hours because of the terrible service). took 20 minutes for the waitress to take our order, took 50 minutes for JUST TWO SUSHI ROLLS to arrive, and took another 20 minutes for the check to come after we had asked for it. no i'm not exaggerating, i actually kept track of the time. THE RESTAURANT WASNT EVEN THAT BUSY. absolutely unacceptable service. people who were seated AFTER us had their orders taken first and had their food given to them 30 minutes before we did. i don't know if we just weren't prioritized because we looked like children? we're 18 years old. it ruined our entire night. we had plans but unfortunately this restaurant wasted all of our time. what a terrible way to spend our last day in miami. i honestly wish we had never went there. it's a shame because the food was actually very good, but the service ruined it. the included gratuity saved the waitress, because i wasn't going to tip a single penny. usually i tip very well.
Slow, lazy, deceitful service. Our waitress walked over to chat with a friend passing on the sidewalk while our drinks were empty and she hadn't checked on us in over 25 mins. We ordered 2 sushi rolls and green coconut chicken curry. When we ordered the waitress made sure to mention that food comes when is ready and not together. Kinda weird for my husband to be completely finished with his meal for 15 mins before mine even arrives. The sushi was good, no complaints. The chicken curry had good flavor, but was so overcooked it was almost inedible. It speaks volumes when something as basic as chicken can't be cooked correctly. After the meal our waitress brings an electronic tab, which is the only option, no paper tabs issued. She's fails to mention the automatic 18% gratuity that the restaurant already adds for you. I've seen this with parties of 6 or more, but I've never seen it for parties of 2. With the automatic 18% gratuity unbeknownst to us, we tipped her an additional 20% because that is our standard tipping amount unless service was horrific. So even though her service was lackadaisical, she walked out of there with almost a 40% tip. It wasn't until later that we realized this. NO WONDER SERVICE IS LACKING WHEN SERVERS KNOW THEY WILL AUTOMATICALLY GET AN 18% GRATUITY, AND THEN SNEAKILY ASK IF YOU'D LIKE TO TIP MORE WITHOUT TELLING YOU YOUR TAB ALREADY INCLUDES A TIP!!! Completely obnoxious. Will not recommend and will not return.
Ordered 1 roll to go. Was told it was would be 10 minutes. My room was around the corner so I could have easily waited there but I figured 10 minutes I'll wait. It was 25 before it came out. It Was supposed to have shrimp crab advocado and eel sauce. Got to my room and 2 of the rolls fell apart before I even opened the box. There was no eel sauce. I go back to the restaurant they say oh we're actually out of eel sauce. Just sent out an order knowing they didn't have what I ordered and didn't say a word to me. Safe to say I'll never be back.
HORRIBLE FOOD!! Avoid this place :( it's not Japanese, Korean, or whatever Asian food they thought they were bringing up. The chief must be confused and didn't know what he/she was doing. Beside taste, for the quality of the food, I will give you one example. The noodles bowls were made of instant noodles... I don't need college food at Miami Beach and extremely overpriced even for Miami Beach...
Ordered a chef specialty crab roll at 10p on Sat (to-go), received a crappy shrimp roll with the tails still on the shrimp and cut up in each piece a full hour later. They claimed to be backed up but the place seemed pretty empty to me. Plus, they charged an automatic 14% gratuity. Never going there again and won't recommend.
The sushi was not fresh the rice was hard and the crab smells like old and taste horrible. Am I am a sushi lover FYI . Arrived there at 6:30 had to wait unti 8:30 to get my sushi and they even made me the wrong one. The only good thing about the place is the outside and how pretty it looks. Otherwise it’s filthy, got home and had to eat some French fries to get the taste out my mouth and forget what a freaking eat!
Sigh.. . . . Here were go- 1. Tables are weird. You have to sit one leg in, one leg out. The table has a beam that goes across towards the bottom of the leg. The seating was a couch/bench on one side and a (short) ottoman type stool. The combination of the short stool and that beam made the seating position uncomfortable and akward. 2. Food took too long to come out. Ordered two egg rolls for appetizers and 4 sushi rolls for entree. We waited about 35-40 minutes for the food to come out which the entrees came before the appetizer. 3. The food was actually pretty good. . . . But . . . When we finished eating and got the bill, we layed the debit card in the book and waited for pickup. The waitress stood across the outside dining area talking to another couple that was eating. 5 minutes.....10 minutes passed...still chatting. At this point, we got the attention of the bus boy to see if we can finally get the bill picked up. He signaled to her, got her attention...and she just stood there, chatting away still. 5-8 more minutes passed and then we got someone else to handle the bill, which all that happened was our original waitress was pulled to the side and then came to take the bill. I've never wanted to leave a restaurant so bad before. I probably would not go here again. Not worth the automatic gratuity charge with very poor service, let alone tip. ***-Tip to managment-*** *Have kitchen roll out orders faster or advise guests on long wait times. *Advise waiting staff to be attentive to their patrons. Can't chat away while people are waiting on you.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Service was absolutely terrible. We ordered and waited for over an hour....we never recieved our food. We also had to ask the waiter to refill our drinks multiple times. After speaking with the manager and expressing our disatifaction with the service, he asked us to wait 5 more mininutes. This led to our food being delivered to another table and eaten in front of us by a couple that arrived 30+ minutes after we did. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE I 100% DO NOT recommend!!!
Absolutely awful experience. They are obviously short staffed. Sushi rolls made to order are not as described in the menu. Sushi chef cane out to table and called me out for my complaint. Very unprofessional. Save your time and money.
As a waiter of 5 years I can say the staff was very unprofessional.. One bus boy looked so high he could barely keep his eyes open. Had to ask for chopsticks twice. No ramakens on the table. Our waitress was super annoying, and had a hickey on her neck that she didn't bother to cover. When I asked her if she knew the address of the restaurant she replied "absolutely not" with an irritating conviction. Later she and my friend had an awkward staring match with a creepy smile on her face. Sushi was simply not good at all but I think it was the service that turned me off the most..Maybe they're just surviving because of the collins ave location but it was ultimately a terrible experience and I'm sorry I wasted my money and time there.
Do not walk away from this place, run! The service was horrible, the food even worse. The drinks are mediocre at best and way overpriced, even for South Beach. I don't know how this place is even still around, it should be shut down. We ordered 3 rolls and ate 1, the others tasted like what I imagine 3 day old bait would taste like. Yeah, it was 80 degrees outside - but should the sushi be hot (and no - not cooked)? The service was horrible - slow and VERY un-attentive. I even asked a manager for place settings and they never arrived. The money I paid for this crappy food and bad service is down right criminal and dangerous. Avoid!!!
It's worse experience at Christmas Eve. The waiter told us to wait for half an hour, but all food didn't come over for 2 hrs. We have to cancel appetizer after we two finished the dinner and still waited for the third one. The waiter is pretty New and sweet. The quality of food is not good at all. We asked to get big portion of sea salad. It's so happy they can make it, but came with big bowl-only big bowl with small portion food-lol.
Honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We came at a very usual time for dinner (7:20 pm) and somehow they still only had the sushi menu available. Since we were not in the mood for sushi we opted to wait for a promised twenty minutes before the full menu opened, while we had a complimentary free drink during happy hour, we stayed at the hotel after all Twenty minutes later we're informed that it'll still be another 15 minutes before we can order. Since our drink is not empty we choose to stomach the wait and wait a bit more. The waiters all seemed to avoid us until one came and told us unfortunately only half the menu was available for the night but we could order now. By this we had been waiting for little under an hour to order. We all get the fried rice, which is one of three options available, two pineapple chicken and one spicy chicken. We wait for just about half an hour when the first two dishes are served and we wait another 5-10 minutes for the last. We are then greeted by the blandest Thai food we've ever had. And enormous amount of rice and cilantro with very very little chicken and egg. So extremely boring that only of us chooses to finish their food. Really disappointed, especially with the 14% obligatory "gratuity fee" which we certainly did not want to pay.
The best part of the whole experience was when we got to leave. I saw a snail running a marathon faster than our waiter could deliver our food. He never checked in on us in 25 minutes after we took our order! Our whole order took an hour to come! He had all these excuses that made no sense whatsoever! He also lied about he also lied about being the manager! If he was the manager he would know how to take an order and work in a restaurant! Never come here! It was the worst restaurant I've ever been to!! Not only was he the worst server of all time he was rude and disrespectful!
I had high hopes for this place after seeing the menu but unfortunately I ended up very disappointed. The service was very poor with water rarely being refilled and it taking 15 minutes just to get miso soup. After telling our server we had an event at 7:30 it was like she did not care and again we were delayed in getting our entrees. On top of all this the place was empty. When we walked in we were the only people originally there and another 10-15 might have come in while we ate. Also we started off the night with Sake that was said to be $25 for the bottle, later on the bill it was $35. And gratuity was added to the bill even though we were smaller than a party of 6. We got the bill at 7:25 and were basically taken advantage of, knowing we had to sprint out. That’s the first and last time I’ll dine there.
No volvería.
